This is a well written, fast paced dark mafia romance with strong characters in Yena and Tato. The author pulled me in and kept me turning the pages with her descriptive scenes and intriguing storyline. She brings steam along with the violence and delivers a terrific story.

This contemporary dark mafia romance is page-turning with exceptional world-building that is engulfed by darkness, violence, danger, grit, powerful men, and characters that are captivating and realistic. Their journey is enthralling with being ruthless, an enemies-to-lovers romance, Tato loves punishing people, steamy Stockholm romance, Yena attempts to be the Beast's Beauty, drama, suspense, drama, danger, violence, heartfelt emotions, action, adventure, power, changing a ruthless man's heart, punishment, Yena Castro's brother ran away with Tato's favorite mistress, and more. Fast-paced, dark romance, enemies-to-lovers

I felt like the book was slightly rushed which is why I gave it a 4. I wish there was a little more angst or background to these characters prior to Yena’s kidnapping. There was like a month break in between her brother meeting the MMC and then the taking of Arianna. I feel like a bit more background/character building for either Yena or Tato or even a building of the mafia world that they are in would have definitely elevated the story. The ending chapter “The Birth of Spietato” was definitely what was needed for readers to empathize with Tato. We’ll see what the next few books bring.

This is my first book by Kat T. Scot and I will say that I am intrigued. We star off with a sweet and caring young lady named Yena. She has been through a lot. While we get a quick backstory on her and her family we don’t really get enough to fully connect with her. We then meet Tato who you instantly have a love/hate relationship with him. This is a very quick read and I would have loved to have more depth to the characters but, the story is still very interesting. It is darker and may have some possible triggers for some. The story is fast paced but does quickly draw you in at the same time. The ending really picks up with a lot of drama and we are seeing sides of the characters that you wouldn’t expect to see. The ending was a major cliffhanger but has me completely intrigued for the next book.

I enjoyed this dark and dangerous mafia novella. So many things were unexpected and piqued my curiosity.
This is Book 1 of A Dark Stockholm Mafia series. It is not a standalone story as the end of Ruthless leads us right into the next, Heartless.
Yena is a smart young woman who cares about others; especially her twin brother Jacob and an older couple, Mr. and Mrs. Hammington, who own the diner she frequents and sells her bread to. They have also been like family since Jacob's and Yena's parents died.
Unfortunately, Jacob has gotten into trouble and it appears as though his trouble is extending on to Yena.
Tato is the boss and in order to hang on to the respect of his peers and those who are under him in his mafia, he cannot appear to be weak even when it comes to Yena.

Oh my goodness that was hot. Tato is mean and ruthless and he’s the big boss. The other main characters are Yena and her brother Joseph. Joseph takes a job with Tato because they really need money. He sees Tato use and humiliate a woman and he’s so angry. Yena says let it be but Joseph takes off with Tato’s girl. Now of course, Tato and his crew need payback and Yena is it. Tato didn’t realize how different she was from his usual type of girl. Yena, after fighting to get away from him, found herself attracted as well. This might be listed as an enemies to lovers book but in book 1, they are still enemies. Loved it. I received an ARC copy from the author and this is my honest review.

I am giving this book 3.5 stars. I feel the book was rushed. I think there should have been more back stories for both main characters. There is some back story in the last chapter, but I would have preferred reading about it throughout the book.

There are definitely some dark aspects to the book, but I didn't think it was overly dark. Tato definitely comes across as "Ruthless", but he does show that he isn't always that way by the way he is with Yena. He could have easily done what the videos portray him to be doing, but he didn't.

Even though I only gave it 3.5 stars, I do look forward to reading Heartless.

Fighting for Her Life -
I usually don’t like reading stories that end in a cliffhanger, but I am happy I made the decision to take a chance on this book. This dark mafia romance with a twist is about a feisty young woman who finds herself in a dangerous situation, but she isn’t prepared to be obsequious and her captor tries everything to break her, but fate has other plans in store for both of them. Get ready to embark on a reading adventure that will have you on the edge of your seat and leave you itching to read the next book in series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ARC review

I knew from the synopsis that this was a dark mafia romance, which I do very much love, but this novella was…interesting, to say the least. It started off with a bang, delving right into Yena and Tato’s story lines and their pasts, and I liked not having to wait or guess what’s going on. It was well written, and I liked Yena’s fierceness and loyalty to her brother. But Tato…no thank you. I love dark, but this was too dark for me. I’ve read this author before and I normally enjoy her books, but this wasn’t for me.

This is a Dark Mafia enemies to lovers series. This is Book 1 and ends on a Cliffhanger. This is a quick read about Tato a ruthless Mafia guy who is collecting women for his harem. Joseph Yena's sister gets taken when Joseph takes one of Tato's women and runs off.
But Yena isn't the submissive woman he is used to, she's fiesty and strong.
Good read and this book lays the foundation to the story of Tato and Yena.
Looking for forward to book 2.

This is a quick read. Yena is kidnapped as revenge for her brother taking Tato favorite mistress. Tato is a monster due to his family history having lost all of them and being forced to kill his sister after everyone raped her.
Tato is a confusing character with Yena even this early in the storyline because he goes to great lengths to protect her from others watching. Those actions lead you to believe Yena may be the one to change him.

If you like short and a good read. Be prepared as if you don’t like bondage and explicit this isn’t for you. Tato has been through much in his life. But for him to survive he had to do things to get to where he is, life has hardened and left him without love. Why should he do anything differently than he previously has done. But something is making him change to where he questions his own self. Yena, has no idea what her brother has done now. But she will protect him with everything she has left even herself. But when the Demon makes her weak what else can she do to survive.

He just repeats the abuse he watch his sister go through. He kills is sister so her pain stops, yet keeps his toys. Not any really good flow with the story. Very rushed ending, not the kind of ending that makes you want to read the next book. It isn't like the description, the description sounds more like the next book. All this book is, is him kidnapping her to get her brother back, for taking his main toy. He does humiliating things to her for the men that are supposedly be low him, yet they seem to rule his actions more than he rules them. I'ma confused boy pretending to be a man

Yana at a restaurant, he is determined to have hers
Yana is the sister of Jacob. Jacob finds himself working as a pilot for Tato. When he sees Tato mistreat one of his women, Jacob steals her away.
Yena is expected to pay the price for Jacob’s betrayal.
This is a good start to the series. Tato knows there is something different about Yena and unlike his nature he treats her a little different.
This story has spice, forbidden desires, and danger.
Looking forward to the series.

I think this could be a good book if not for the grammatical errors. There was some confusion because of them.
MMC, Tato is a mafia bastard. I didn't like him even though he was hot. He treated his women like pets. Yes, he had several in his harem. Gross. He kidnapped FMC, Yena to bring her brother out of hiding because he took one of Tato's females. Her brother was just trying to protect the girl.
Quick and short story. The next book in this series is related to this one. I'm almost tempted to read it to find out what happens next.

🌶️ MAFIA NOVELLA 🌶️

This was an interesting twist to your typical mafia romance. Yena is kept as a submissive toy to Tato when her brother decided to mess with the Mafia (and take one of Tato’s other submissives and run away).

It was a quick novella read and had a good storyline. I liked that Yena kept a strong front up, but secretly liked what Tato was doing to her at the same time. Tato has been through some dark stuff and that’s why he’s ruthless in the mafia. The spice wasn’t really spicy, maybe a 1. It was more focused on the storyline and giving an intro to Yena & Tato! I did enjoy it and would definitely read the rest of the series to see what happens with these two! 💜📚

This sizzling story kept me glued to the pages and waiting for the next book. Tao is collecting women for his harem and when Yena's brother makes a mistake Yena pays the price because Tao takes her. What Tao wasn't expecting was the attitude he gets from Yena. She is giving him a run for his money, and I can't wait for what is going to happen next.

Brother's Misdeeds

When your brother's misdeeds are the reason your kidnapped, what can you do to ease the burden? For Yena, saving her brother from Tato's family is her only goal but her capture wants her owned. Unfortunately, the cliffhanger leaves you asking more questions than getting answers so I cannot wait to find out what happens next.

Raw

The story is raw emotion. I gave it 4 stars only because of so many proof reading errors. They were serious enough to distract fom an otherwise tense and exciting read. Please either get a new proof reader or take the time to do it yourself! Your imagination and story telling skills are very good, but when I have to add different pronouns or rearrange whole sentences when I read,it ruins the flow.

Yena and Tato story is one heck of a read. He’s Ruthless because he saw a lot to become who he is. It’s just fair for him to take away the most important person for himself when he is wronged. Little did he know his life will change. You just have to read this spicy exciting read.

Expected more…

I expected more of a storyline and I definitely expected to be able to read a book/story that had been proof-read for even simple errors, let alone the jumping around through paragraphs and pages. Maybe it didn’t download correctly…but I don’t think that was the problem. This could have been a really good, intriguing story.

Such an amazing story.

This book had me hooked from the beginning. Her story was very detailed, which was great. There was passion, abuse, hatred, dominance, confusion, punishments, BDSM and unexpected twists and turns. The alpha LOVES to punish people. This book is definitely worth reading.
