A birthday present from a cool bookshop on the Kollonadenstraße in Leipzig.
Reads incredibly well for such a concise synthesis of contemporary historiography on the GDR. I’d studied the period before during my degree but it still made the material seem fresh.
Definitely not just a textbook for students.
