Great
I really enjoyed this book. The summary gave me so much anxiety, I was just waiting for her to take the lotion and key and leave to the fae realm. Is in e that’s what the ending hinted at in the last book. We got to enjoy multiple point of views, just like all the last books, but I found more of the guys solrinkled in there than the previous ones. It was almost equal for all of them. We got to read her thoughts, fears, insecurities and we got to read the guys reactions and their reasons to why they acted as they did. There was a spot where I felt I missed a chapter or something. This happened in the previous books too, no amount of re reading previous chapters or key word searches in kindle unlimited shed any light on what happened previously. Just a quick mention on a subject in a way that sounded like there was previous talk on it when there wasn’t. I loved how the battle with Lucifer wasn’t a quick one. The build up of 4 books, I felt it was perfectly paced. I kinda figured Kane would show up when he was absolutely needed. The betrayal of Demarcus and Lilah shocked me, I expected something like Lucifer kidnapping them to force her to submit but instead they stood with him. I had hoped that she would change her mind on betraying Ivy and I’m so glad that she did or else Ivy wouldn’t be alive and Lucifer would probably still be sitting on a throne.
I’m just really glad she didn’t run from her mates, I hate books and series where there’s a separation of fated mates, whether forced or willingly. It gives me anxiety just thinking on it. Reading their thoughts and fears on both sides just makes me want to yell at the characters, or better yet lock them in a room that blocks all magic. The whole anxiety over Ivys avoidance of her mates was an alive and well but it wasn’t as bad as it could be.
Of all her mates, Trigger is my fav. He fell for her the moment he saw her and let her know any chance he could. She was his, and although it took to the end of book 3 to make it happen, he never lost hope. Kain and Bones, were more reserved but had passion aplenty in this book. Bones opened up more, Kain allowed himself to be vulnerable to her, it was like she was their guiding light and they Finally were able to show their emotions on how obsessed they were with her. It was a great series. I really enjoyed it.
