The trouble with bad boys is that they’re so unforgettable…
Andre Kemp. Just hearing the name makes Tamara Bradford want to roll her eyes. Popular, gorgeous and arrogant…and every girl in high school wanted to date him. And while Tamara can’t deny how attractive he was then—and is now—she has no time for schoolgirl crushes. Charged with revitalizing downtown Peachtree Cove, Tamara has a full plate, and that includes managing a contractor to lead the town’s efforts. So when Andre walks in the door for the project meeting, she can’t control her surprise.
When Andre left Peachtree Cove, he swore he’d never move back. Too many bad memories. But when his mom needed his help, there was nowhere else he’d rather be. Still, seeing Tamara again blows his mind. She may have been a Goody Two-shoes back in school, but he never could forget those luminous brown eyes and kissable lips. Getting involved with her isn’t smart…for so many reasons. But he can’t seem to get her off his mind. And the more time they spend working together, the harder it is to let her go.
A second chance romance with the towns bad boy turned super hottie was a good read. All of the make-believe towns are growing on me. Peachtree Cove also sounds like a big little town and a good place to settle down.
Love author's writing but this was just too short. I've read other Peacetree Cove books and enjoyed, this one left me dangling! Just as I got into it, it was done. Another commentator mentioned it was a novella but even as that, it left me hanging. I wanted more
Talk about second chances! Andre and Tamara were childhood friends, but after Tamara found Andre crying in a closet, he started being mean to her out of embarrassment. Their paths didn’t cross again until she became the project manager of a building project. Andre was the contractor, and had moved back to Peachtree Cove to do the job. Tamara had broken up with her boyfriend Thomas, who was a real slick piece of work. He wanted Tamara and the rest of the residents to think ill of Andre, by spreading lies and rumors. Andre and Tamara became involved with each other once Andre repaired the siding on her house. Andre told her why he had started treating her differently after she found him crying in the closet. He also cleared up the lies that Thomas had been spreading. It looks like Andre and Tamara’s relationship will survive! This was a great read Ms. Williams!! ❤️🔥
This was a cute frenemies to lovers story. I liked seeing the growth with Andre and him being comfortable with Tamara to express himself and his feelings. I liked how Tamara gave him a chance to right his wrongs and clear up the misconceptions about himself. I would have liked more of this couple but this was a novella so I’m pleased with the happy for now ending.
Great read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Tamara and Andre are childhood friends that became enemies in high school. Now as adults, they are unexpectedly working on a town project together. Tamara and Andre clear the air, and get clarity on past misunderstandings. This is their journey to love.
A cute little interlude that gives more insight into the world of Peachtree Cove💚 some of the attitudes towards Andre as a teen were whack and reeked of some sort of ism, but otherwise it was a nice and quick read.
Short, sweet, and to the point. I love it when a man is able to find a gentle way to express himself instead of using hurtful words. Andre found the right words. Tamara was patient, kind, but still wouldn't put up with his nonsense.
Childhood friends to high school enemies to adult lovers. Andre and Tamara had a cute story. Once they got over their misunderstandings, they were able to pursue the attraction between them. I enjoyed this story.
I enjoyed Andre and Tamara story because even though we had a miscommunication in the beginning because of an ex bf. Andre drove his self to her house to fix the problem now that is what I called being a mature adult.
I didn't enjoy this as much as the other's I've read in this series, but it was still good overall. I like this town for the most part, so that definitely contributed to the rating.
Tamara and Andre knew one another in school. They were actually friends until Andre kicked her to the curb in high school, and she never knew why. He just went from being her friend, to not and also not being kind.
Who he used to be weighs heavily on this story, which annoyed me since it was a short one. I couldn't stand that they didn't wait to see who is now and judged him on his behavior as a teenager, Tamara included.
Other than that, I liked that once she came to terms that he was different than that she had his back going forward.
