This was a great book! Interesting and engaging characters set in an unusual paranormal town. The mystery and murder was well crafted by the author. I am on to the next book in the series.

Amazon synopsis:
Welcome to the town of Mysthaven, where the residents are anything but normal.

Autumn Waverly has always called her charming little town home. Her bar, The Siren’s Song, is a popular watering hole, and her days are all pretty predictable. But then, a patron ends up dead under strange circumstanes, and everything changes.

Is the handsome shifter who showed up minutes before the murder to blame? Or is the charming facade of her town hiding a dark and sinister past?

Autumn’s going to need all the help she can get from her lovable crew of misfits as they race to uncover the identity of the killer before they strike again… and danger lurks in places they’d never suspect.

I really liked this motley crew of magical friends and townspeople. It was cool how the whole town was paranormal, so they didn’t have to worry about non-magical people seeing things they shouldn’t. I was sure one character was definitely good and I was right. There wasn’t really any way to’ve known who was behind it all, but there was a big old paranormal fight to be had—and I think there’ll always be somewhat of an ongoing mystery or conflict. I’m not big on books with nasty creatures (like they battled, and it wasn’t that long) but I’m still willing to read the next book because I absolutely like the characters…and Penny the cat who’s not actually a cat, lol. She cracked me so much with her snark!
