Entertaining introduction to the Siren’s Song Paranormal Mystery series. The cast of characters are interesting and engaging. The mystery was well done. A fun, quick read.

This was a great book! Interesting and engaging characters set in an unusual paranormal town. The mystery and murder was well crafted by the author. I am on to the next book in the series.
Amazon synopsis:
Welcome to the town of Mysthaven, where the residents are anything but normal.
Autumn Waverly has always called her charming little town home. Her bar, The Siren’s Song, is a popular watering hole, and her days are all pretty predictable. But then, a patron ends up dead under strange circumstanes, and everything changes.

I really liked this motley crew of magical friends and townspeople. It was cool how the whole town was paranormal, so they didn’t have to worry about non-magical people seeing things they shouldn’t. I was sure one character was definitely good and I was right. There wasn’t really any way to’ve known who was behind it all, but there was a big old paranormal fight to be had—and I think there’ll always be somewhat of an ongoing mystery or conflict. I’m not big on books with nasty creatures (like they battled, and it wasn’t that long) but I’m still willing to read the next book because I absolutely like the characters…and Penny the cat who’s not actually a cat, lol. She cracked me so much with her snark!

A short, clean, cozy paranormal story
3.5 stars
A quick read. Pretty lighthearted and low stakes (but, you know, with a murder establishing the mystery in the first chapter).
But not much happened. 🤷♀️ It was something to read, and I don't regret spending time on it, but I'll probably skip the sequels (unless my library gets some copies).
I liked that this story didn't have the silly typical "dark and sexy" shifters and sirens and demons and witches; just fantastical beings in a modern world. It was very refreshing. And I appreciated that there was nothing offensive or controversial in the content.
It was a nice little crew of characters creating the found family cast. And the sassy cat (dragon?) was surprisingly not annoying lol

Enchanting story!
Lovely story that draws you in and doesn’t let go!
You start by meeting Autumn and learn she is a siren who can’t sing but the story quickly develops after one of the patrons at her bar is brutally killed. Lots of information comes your way fast and the story really races along.
Highly enjoyed and would recommend. On to the next in the series!

Unexpected, and highly entertaining!!
I picked up this first-in-series on a whim. Was I EVER pleasantly surprised to find myself engaged by the characters and truly enjoying the plot. I can't wait to get the other books!! I just have too many questions left to answer.

Fun read
Cute story. It's a fun read with witty characters. A murder investigation. Angry shifters. Sirens stuck in old way of thinking want to take things back to the good old days.
