Christie Logan writes sweet romance straight from the heart. She lives in upstate New York with too many pets, too many dust bunnies lurking under the bed, and too many plot bunnies bouncing around in her head. She thinks everyone deserves a happy ending and in her books, everyone gets one.
❣️Clean & Wholesome ❣️Second Chance ❣️Brother’s Best Friend ❣️Best Friend’s Sister ❣️Single Dad - unexpectedly ❣️Peanut the dog
This was a cute and wholesome, second chance love story. Rye and Moira were friends when they were younger, after her dad passes Rye fiends some time with her. They shared a kiss and there were feelings there. Rye’s home life made him question if he was good enough for Moira, and since self doubt tends to win, he pushed her away.
Moira hurt and disappointed moves on and gets married and has children. Her husband ends up cheating on her and they get a divorce. Now she’s navigating as a single mom.
While the kids are away with their dad, Moira spends some time with Rye. An unexpected surprise for Rye, in form of an adorable toddler, Robbie. Moira helps Rye with his new role, along with Peanut - the neighbors dog he’s watching while the neighbor is in the hospital - all while their feelings start to bubble up and surface. Rye learns to accept that’s he’s good enough for both Moira and Robbie. It was good to see him come to that realization. Moira also stands up to her conniving ex husband, that was great to see.
Peanut is hilarious. He hates Rye at first and the feeling is mutual. But they both learn to trust and love each other. Peanut instantly takes to Moira and Robbie.
This was my first book by Christie Logan and I look forward to reading more of her work.

Rye Costello has always been a loner, and his best friend's younger sister, Moira, is back. They see each other at the 4th of July celebration. Moira is newly divorced, and her two kids are spending the whole month of July with their father. She is missing them, and reconnects with Rye. Rye gets an unexpected visitor from someone he doesn't know, who tell him, he has a son and is dropping him off. When she leaves, Rye panics and calls Moira. Together they help each other. Rye is going to have to do a paternity test, to make sure he is the father to Robbie. He is being a good Dad, with the help of Moira and her mother, but he seems to hesitate on the paternity, afraid he won't be the father. He does have it done, and he is Robbie's Dad. Moira's ex brings the children back early, and tries to convince Moira, she should spend time with them, being a family again. Moira sees right through him, knowing they are divorced because he was having an affair with their babysitter, and they were still together. Her children told her what happened when they were with their father. She realized he just wanted a family that would prop him up for a job he wanted. He told him it wasn't happening, and he left. Rye thinks Moira might go back to her ex and starts doubting himself because of his childhood, and being a loner. He got a phone call from his brother at 12:30 in the morning, which was unexpected, and his brother told him a different version of their childhood, which gave him a new perspective. You will have to read the book to see where their journey takes them all, but it is a story of self discovery, each one finding their way, and many, many amazing moments sprinkled in along the way.
Rye Costello and almost 30 years old and in a state of depression. Jake his golden retriever had passed away in his sleep after 13 years of constant companionship. Jake was his best friend and now he was gone leaving a big hole in Rye's heart. He went to a 4th of July party with friends just to distract himself from dwelling on his loss. At the party he saw Moira. She had been a friend for years as her brother, Mac was Rye's best friend. Rye and younger brother Steve spent a lot of hours at their house while growing up. Mr. and Mrs. Mac seemed like parents to both boys as their dad was not in the picture and their mom worked a lot. At one point Moira and Rye had thought they were in love and then she went away to college and got married. She had a little girl and a boy. One day she caught her husband cheating on her with the babysitter, so they got a divorce. A while later Rye got the shock of his life. An older lady came to his door with a little boy about 15 months old in her arms. Her name was Nora, and the babies name was Robbie. She claimed that he was the baby's father. Rye and her daughter had hooked up and she had gotten pregnant, and he never knew. She said that she could not take care of Robbie anymore with her working and Robbie needing more time than she could give him. Her daughter had gone to the store one day and just kept on going. It was either him take custody of his son, or he became a ward of the court. What does Rye do? Will he take this cute little guy and learn to love him or give him up? He knows nothing about raising a baby. Rye owns a construction company and works long hours, so how can he possibly take care of a baby? I guess we will just have to continue reading and see. I am sure that this fantastic book has all of the answers. I really have enjoyed reading All at Once, A Dad and I know you will too. I was given an advanced copy of this book for free, and I am leaving my review voluntarily.
Rye Costello never felt worthy based on his background growing up. He has been on his own. But he won’t be alone much longer when a woman named Norma arrives to tell him her daughter Tracee had arrived with her baby, Robert Michael Tompkins (“Robbie”), to live with her. After a short time, Tracee went out to buy milk and ran off to be with another guy, leaving Robbie to live with his grandmother Norma. The only proof that Robbie was Rye’s son is the birth certificate where Tracee named him as the father. Since Norma won’t take care of Robbie, she is handing him over to Rye, even though Tracee had never mentioned him or told him she was pregnant. Not having a clue what to do with the toddler, Rye calls Moira McIntyre, his best friend Mac’s younger sister and the woman he had loved and pushed away. But he trusts her and he needs help to learn how to be a dad.
Moira is also dealing with a difficult situation. She had discovered her husband Kent cheating on her and they divorced. Her two children, Sammie and Benji, were spending a month with their father, so she at least had the time to help Rye. As Rye gets more comfortable as a dad, and begins to hope Moira might give him a second chance, his lawyer tells him he needs to get a paternity test to settle any doubt that Robbie is his son. Rye is afraid to get the test in case Robbie is not his, and convinces himself he is not a good father and should give Robbie up. In the meantime, Moira’s cheating ex tries to manipulate her into coming back to him so that he can get a job at a private academy for the wealthy that models “family values” above all. Does he just want Moira and the children back to convince the academy to hire him? Is he that selfish? Will Rye’s self-doubt and Moira’s turmoil somehow be resolved? Is there any chance for those who truly love each other to find a HEA?
This was a fun and interesting read. The story grabbed me at the very beginning and learning the main characters, Rye and Moira, and their personalities and the other important people in their loves made the storyline solid and fun.
In his younger years Rye, Ryan, was a ladies man and the women did like him and with his good looks made him a good catch. Moira fell for him during their high scho0l years but Rye knew that his best friend and Moira's brother did not want them becoming a couple knowing Rye's reputation.
Years went by Rye did not leave town, but stayed and became a construction manager and Moira married Kent, who a short time after their marriage was unfaithful even though they have 2 adorable children, Sammie a sweet lil girl and Benjie, a boisterous lil guy full of life ad always ready to grab sweets.
Moira's father passed away and she is struggling with his absence and her mom and brother are struggling as well. Rye took Moira on a car ride to get her away and to help her with grief. They became good friends and during this time, Robbie a sweet and lovable 1.5 year old, showed up on Ryes porch with his grandma informing Rye that e was his son. Moira, who was missing her childrem as they were staying with Kent for the summer month. Moira jumped on helping Rye out wtth this sweet Robbie. During this time they became close, but still each had obstacles to overcome.
I received an early, free ARC and am giving this voluntary and honest review.
I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a complimentary copy. Moira is a single mother raising Sam and Benji. Kent the ex only seems to pay attention to the children when it suits him. I really disliked Kent, the way he treated Moira and his daughter Sam was demeaning. Moira is friends with Rye and they have been friends for over 20 years and maybe would have been more if Rye had not chickened out. Rye childhood was not great and because of that he does not think he deserves to be loved.
Rye and Moira are good friends, when Rye ends up with a 2 year old soon Robbie that he did not know about he call Moira for help. Moira and Rye end up spending more time together and grow closer like they did 20 odd years ago. Little Robbie is so cute and he really starts to open up to Rye with Moira's help and little Peanut. I did get annoyed with Rye's poor me attitude, I am not good enough, especially when it came to Robbie but I could feel his fear.
Will Rye throw away his chance at a family because of his fears? Will Moira let her ex trick her into going back to him?
Moria is living back with her mom after her divorce with her two children, she's now a teachers aid and loving her life again. But her children are spending a month with their dad finally, with the girl he left her for, why he couldn't just spend time with his kids she'll never know. Rye is now running his own construction firm, but still lives in a trailer. Although it's nothing like the trailer he and his brother grew up in. After his father abandoned them his mother soon became more interested in her next boyfriend than her kids. He always felt not good enough but Moria never judged him but he spoilt that by turning her away. He couldn't abide the idea of her finally realising that he was just Trailer Trash like others called him. But she's back will he get another chance. Then out of the blue he's a dad to a toddler he knew nothing about. Will there ever be a time that's right for them both. This is a really heartwarming story of growth, acceptance, healing and forgiveness. I loved everything about this story but I think Peanut really steals the main character spot.
Overall, this book was a very sweet story and didn't disappoint. I was a little bit hesitant at the very start when there was a lot of talk about the relationship with the dog-- I guess I'm not a dog person! I was definitely relieved and really got into the plot once other things started to happen. Both of the main characters are easy to connect to and I really found myself rooting for them. From the parenting side of things, their experience is quite different from mine as far as baby sleep and temperament goes. It made me chuckle at times thinking how far there experience was from my own reality! There were also definitely times where I found myself tearful, which surprised me, but was fine. I liked that this isn't a story that is commonly told, it was unique (from my reading experience) in that sense! If you're looking for a satisfying storyline and don't mind the risk of a few tears along the way, I definitely recommend this book.

A well written second chance story with well defined characters. The story focuses on some emotionally deep topics with a minor focus on the rekindled possibility of a romance between Moira and Rye.
Rye discovers he is a father very abruptly and he panics since he knows nothing about taking care of a young child. He calls Moira, his best friend’s younger sister and the women he has secretly loved for many years. Even though she has her own challenges, Moira steps up and comes to Rye and Robbie’s rescue. The story focuses on Rye’s journey of becoming a parent and Moira’s steady presence in their lives.
It’s a quick read, but for my taste it was a bit too bleak and gloomy with more lows than highs. For a second chance romance this has some barely there romance - a few kisses and declarations of ‘I love you.’

I really enjoyed this story, the characters, their past and their possible future as a family. It was a beautiful story that felt very realistic. I liked Rye who literally had someone show up on his doorstep with Robbie who was 20 months old. Rye was shocked, loving, scared, and right away felt he was not good enough to raise Robbie and be the dad he deserved. There were ups and downs, good days and bad days. Thank goodness he had friends like Moira to help guide him. I liked that everyone believed in him even when he did not believe in himself. I also liked that Robbie helped to bring Moira and Rye together. He seemed so much better than her ex-husband, Kent. It seemed her brother might even approve of his best friend dating his sister. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
A sweet clean second chance love story. Rye had a really rough childhood dealing with his father walking out, his mother working a couple jobs making him be the role of dad and taking care of his younger brother. He had always loved Moira but felt he wasn’t good enough for her. Now she is back a divorced mom of two children. When Rye finds a woman on his doorstep claiming he is the father of her daughter’s son Robbie, he had a total meltdown and calls Moira for help. The grandmother had everything of the baby unloaded, went back for the car seat, unloaded it, and drove off. There is a lot to the story, which also includes a small dog, that you will find endearing, relatable, and the rekindle of love.

Sweet romance with two small kisses non descriptive. Thank you to the author for giving me this book in exchange for an honest review. This book is about love , family, redemption and second chances . Moira has always love rye but he pushed her away when they were teens and married the first man who showed her affection . Not sure if he ever cared for her or just wanted her to boost his image . They had two kids together and divorced when she found him cheating with the babysitter. Rye is suddenly a father and unsure of what to do as he wasn’t serious with the mother and she never told him about the baby , he’s named as the father on the birth certificate. Rye needs someone to watch Robby while he works and Moira is home for the summer while her kids are with their dad . Can they work out the issues from the past and also find their way back to each other .
I really, thoroughly enjoyed this story. Rye (Ryan) Costello had a rough childhood and has never really had a loving relationship except with his best friend's younger sister, Moira. But, when his life imploded, he pushed her away to protect her because he didn't feel worthy. Now, it is years later, Moira is back in town after she divorced her cheating husband and Rye wants nothing more than to win her back but he still doesn't feel worthy.
When a strange woman shows up at Rye's door with a 20 month old boy she says is his, he is going to need some help so he calls Moira. Moira knows that Rye is a natural father but she needs to convince him that he can do this and he is the best thing for this little guy.
This was a very sweet, second chance romance with a great storyline and a happy ending.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
Rye broke Moira’s heart years ago and is the reason she fell for her ex. And he blows hot and cold with her after they admit their attraction. Yes he has the stress of instant fatherhood and thinking he’s not good enough for Robbie after his terrible childhood and making mistakes, but he comes close to making some of the biggest ones near the end of the book. Moira’s ex was self centered and controlling, using his family to climb the ladder without considering how he hurt his wife and children. The children and the neighbor’s little dog who became Robbie’s buddy provided a lot of funny and sweet moments in this kisses only romance.
What happen you find out you’re a father to almost two-year-old? Thankful he has a friend who can help him. Norma is Robbie grandmother drop off him to Rye who didn’t now it. He had been with her daughter but not tell him about it. He falls in love with the little guy, but don’t think he can do it. He didn’t have a father except for his best friend and was in love with his best friend sister Moira. She is divorce now and have two children Sammie and Benjie, but her ex is back to get back with her, what will become out of all their loves? It a great story,.

3 stars Clean romance. Very simplistic plot. Reads like a YA. Rye came from trailer trash and thinks that’s still who he is. A knock on his door opens his life to a toddler son he knew nothing about. He calls on his best friend’s sister, Moira, for help. She’s a divorced mother of two. And Rye has always loved her. She loved him too, but felt rejected by him years ago and left town. Made a disastrous marriage, thus the divorce. Rye bumbles about. Makes mistakes. Falls in love with Moira even more. But in a state of depression, pushes her away and decides to cede his parental rights to the baby. Very bad day. Of course it all works out. HEA.

Rye always felt he wasn't good enough for the likes of Moira because of his dysfunctional upbringing. He got the shock of his life when he learns that he is the father of a toddler and knows nothing about children. His best friend and the woman that he has loved for ever comes to his aid and it starts them along their path. Moria is a single mother of two children and recently divorced and being in Rye's presence ignite feelings between them. Will she get a second chance for happiness with Rye.

A sweet story with a lovely ending! Rye and Moira have some history, and it all comes to the surface when Rye is left holding a son he didn't know existed until Robbie arrived on his front doorstep. This is an enjoyable, easy read that shows the ups and downs of instant parenthood, divorce and being part of a close-knit community. I haven't read the related books in the series but I'm on a mission to find them now!

Rye and his brother never had a loving family and both left as soon as they could now years later Rye gets the son he never knew he had dropped off by his ex girlfriend’s mother. He never knew caring for a two year old would be such hard work and he is thankful for his friend Moria for her help. Enjoyed this is a sweet second chance romance with some twists that add to the story.

This was an awesome story with great characters. I really like the way the author revealed the background details of each character as she wove their stories together. I also enjoyed the way she brought out each child’s personality in the story as well. This book has it all great characters, second chance romance, awesome kids, and a horrible exs.

All At Once, A Dad is a sweet fun read to watch unfold. This book kept me entertained from beginning to end thanks to the endearing characters and engaging story line. The previous friendship Rye and Moira shared helped lay the foundation for the love that would grow into something more. This was a great introduction to a new to me author.

I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet second chance story where Rye becomes and insta single dad which would freak anyone out but he knows he lean on and get support from Moira. I liked how they have both been through recent upheavals in life so supporting each other was natural just like their feelings growing between them the longer they are together.

Secrets always seem to cause turmoil in in relationships and families . Secrets always catch up with you in the end. It's always interesting to read how characters deal with and process secrets and learn to move forward from them or accept them. I've read several books written by Christie Logan; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
She has written a good stand-alone book. The story is about Moira & Rye; she’s his best friend’s sister. When he discovers he is a dad, he turns to her for help with his son.
This was a little different for a story. All was not roses and happiness overflowing. It started about real life instances, a child without a father being delivered to the father. Old friend Moria, husband cheating on her, making her life miserable, but as in all tales, this made sense, new beginnings and happy ever afters, enjoy
A lady shows up at his home with a baby she says is his! She tells him who the mother is — this is the first he has heard of her having a baby - and him being the father. He has NO idea what to do so he calls a friend and she comes over - and helps him immensely! This is an amazing book — loved it. I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All thoughts and comments are my own
This was a little different story from what I have be reading, but it was a fantastic story. It would even make a good movie. There is lots of twists and turns in just the right places and they will give you this vs to think about. You may even be grateful that your life was better.
A sweet second chance romance. Lots of past history. Children and a dog add to the charm. Former relationships add to the angst. A few misty moments. Thanks to the author for providing a copy. My review is voluntary.
