A witch and a dragon walk into a bar. Fates mates…yes. A smooth path to love…not exactly.
Spencer Harris has a magical touch in the kitchen that brings people from miles around to his bakery. But as successful as he is in business, his personal life is a trainwreck…
…until the night he meets a beautiful man whose soul calls to his own. For a few short hours, Spencer’s life is fairy tale perfect…until the next morning when his mate breaks his heart and shatters his dreams.
Raphael Gladstone, prince and heir to his clan, should be living a golden life but darkness and shadows haunt his dreams. He’s a tormented dragon longing for peace...
…which he finds the night his mate stumbles into his arms. For a few magical hours, the burdens on his heart are lifted and his soul knows peace …until the next morning when he does the unthinkable and sends his mate away.
Caught in a web of danger and deceit, Spencer and Raphael will have to navigate their way to the truth if they’re going to protect each other from the evil trying to destroy them.
MM Paranormal suspense with romantic elements, a lonely kitchen witch, a dragon who’s doing his best but messing up royally, fated mates, rings of power, an ancient sword, betrayal, magic cake and donuts, fade-to-black steamy times, and a HEA.
This book is not a standalone and is best read as part of the Starfall Grove series.
I'm an MM Romance writer who believes that love should have no boundaries, in happily-ever-afters, that dragons are real…oh, and bacon; there’s always room for bacon.
My stories are romance with low angst, high action, fade to black or non-explicit sex, and characters who know how to kick butt.
Spencer Harris is a witch with incredible skills in the kitchen which is what makes his bakery so successful. But he is lonely and would love to find his soulmate. At a bar, Spencer saw his ex Vick come in, looking around for someone? Spencer tried to stay out of his sight. He never wanted to see Vick again after he tried to make him “service” his friends. But as Spencer turned from the bar, he bumped into Vick’s chest. He told Vick to get out of his way, but Vick told him he “owns” Spencer and intends to take him back home with him whether he chooses to go or not. He moved forward and pinned Spencer up against the bar to intimidate him. But suddenly Spencer scented a wonderful fragrance that calmed him, and an arm gently went around his shoulders. Then the stranger shoved Vick away, telling him Spencer was with him. The man was absolutely gorgeous. And Spencer recognized his mate!
Dragon prince Raphael Gladstone, who lives in endless torment, ends up rescuing his mate at a bar, finally finding the peace he has been craving as they spend the night together. But apparently it is not going to last. As the two were having breakfast together, an envelope flashed and materialized in front of Rafe. He glanced at the photographs and walked away to “check on something”. Rafe returns and cancels all their plans, telling Spencer he will have to leave without an explanation. With evil threatening, this is probably not the best time to go their separate ways, but Rafe is trying to protect him. But Spencer has heard enough, and been rejected enough, and does not want to hear the excuses he expects Rafe will try to give him. Fortunately, they have friends who are there to help. But is their relationship already over?
This book was my introduction to the Starfall Grove series. It works 'ok' as a standalone, but I recommend you read book I (Crystal Magic) first, because there was some history and information I was missing. That is totally on me, as the book description clearly indicates 'best read as part of the series,' but I couldn't pass up the ARC opportunity. Regardless, this is a great story, with great characters. It's the story of the witch Spencer and dragon-shifter Raphael. Both lonely, when they meet they both know they are fated mates and spend a blissful night together. Cue the HEA, right? Hmm, no. At least, not just yet. Unfortunately, there are other things going on, and Raphael sends Spencer away. Fortunately, it's not the end, but these two will have to fight for each other and love. This is an exciting and enjoyable tale, and now I plan to go back and read Crystal Magic. Do yourself a favor, and read that book first, then come back for this one.

This is book 2 of the Starfall Grove series. You can enjoy it without having read the first book but you will be lacking background information on the secondary characters. This is the story of Spencer and Rafe. Spencer is a witch and a wonder in the bakery. His business is quite successful. His attempts to find his own soulmate are not going as well. Rafe is a dragon. A prince dragon. The two meet when Rafe steps in to help out Spenser at a bar. They both immediately know that the other is their mate. After a wonderful night together Rafe kicks Spenser out. This is their story. I really enjoyed this book. It is very well written and easy to read. I liked how friends brought each of them back to see reality clearly. Rafe and Spenser make a great couple. I look forward to more books by this author.

Siblings must learn to share. Spencer has a little magic in him which he uses in his baking. His success in business, does not translate into a successful romantic life. He is so eager for love, that he habitually mistakes his forever guy for his right now guy. He is saved by Raphael who is a dragon shifter, and a little more. This story goes through a 360 degree emotional shift trying to find their happy. The author builds on Jasper's and Gabe's story and ups the game in Spencer and Rafe. The characters are bigger and the danger/problems are more intense. This story is a slow build toward and amazing adventure. I like our guys, but they both let a lot slip through their fingers/brains. The challenges are pretty clever and intense. Great story, well done! I received and ARC and am voluntarilly leaving a review.
Spencer wants to be with someone. He has not had a lot of success in that area, in fact, the guy he is trying to avoid when the story started was dangerous and he barely got away from him. He is rescued by Rafe, a dragon and his fated mate and he thinks he has found what he needs only to have Rafe send him away the next day. For his own good, but still. So their road to them becoming the couple both wants gets interesting but they get a little help from their friends that helps them through the scary and dangerous parts.

This is book two of Starfall Grove the first being Crystal Magic. It is full of magic both good and bad. Spencer has a bakery and witch who infuses goodness into his products. He has had bad luck looking for love always attracting the worst partners, looking for his fated mate. Raphael is a dragon prince and businessman in Starfall Grove and defends Spencer at the local bar. This is the beginning of a very dangerous and magical adventure with black magic, jealousy and an evil that threatens the magical world. So much fun to read.
At one point in this book I wanted to punch Raphael in the face because he had hurt Spencer so badly. I guess that just goes to show how invested I was in the characters which means that they were written well by Sheri Eleese. The first part of this book is mostly about the developing relationship between the two guys but the action speeds up later as outside influences come more into play. There are lots of interesting hints about how the overall story will develop as well. Loving books by this author.

Fantastic addition to series! Spencer and Raph had to fight for their HEA. Poor Spencer had a rough time but I was glad he made Raph work for his forgiveness.
The events towards the end were intense and had me gripping the very edge of my seat.
I really enjoyed this one and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

This was a perfectly enjoyable book. It ticked all the boxes for the things I find necessary in a book, you know, the angst, the love, the problems and the HEA. All of these were certainly present and in large amounts! This made this a delightful book to read. I hadn't read the first book before reading this one and although I knew I was missing something, it didn't really affect the story at all. It was still fabulous. Enjoy!
The second book in the series brings Spencer and Raph's story. The author takes you into their lives with forgiveness and love and kept me reading with all the twists and turns along the way. It's an enjoyable story with descriptive scenes, moves fluidly and is a great read. Highly recommend.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and are freely given.
This story started out a little slow. Then it got very scary with all that was happening. An awesome story. The story plot thickness. I don't know how many books it will take. I do hope that they will come faster though. But, that is just me being selfish. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Thoroughly enjoyed the second book in this series and looking forward to the next. Beautifully written either great characters and a brilliant storyline. Lots of twist and turns kept me reading till the end. Loved this book thank you
