Sharing a bed threatens a closed heart in this steamy, snowed in romance...
Despite traveling the world, 46-year-old billionaire Taylor has never found the one. When a snowstorm disrupts her hike and leaves her injured in a remote location, love is the last thing on her mind.
36-year-old Wyatt happily writes novels in her secluded cabin. It keeps the trauma that haunts her at bay. When Wyatt finds an unconscious woman on the edge of her property, she uses her skills as a former EMT to save her.
Stranded together, Wyatt must open her quiet life to a relentless flirt. Romance is not on the table for Wyatt. But when the storm intensifies and the lights go out, all bets are off…
Chloe Peterson is the author of heartfelt lesbian fiction. She loves writing stories that celebrate the diversity of the LGBT community. Chloe relaxes by watching home building shows and reading fan fiction.
Honestly, I don’t know what happened. I was hooked on this series as soon as I started but, in this book, felt disconnected.
I didn’t understand the time frame, I was lost. I don’t get why the group of friends was so intense with Taylor regarding brunch and not with Reid when she was even overseas. I never imagined Taylor to be so outspoken (based on the description from previous books).
Overall, it was a nice end of the series. You need to check for the additional epilogue that the author very nicely did, you just need to subscribe in the link she provides at the end of this book and you’ll get it. It’s a bit more of each MC.
4.5 stars. I’m so happy that Taylor finally found her love, I was rooting for her and Wyatt the whole time! I loved the mental illness representation! I didn’t know that people genuinely landed in their on their dogs for emotional support. Excellent book!
Womp Womp one of the WORST lesbian romances I’ve read. Not writing wise but plot wise. Just terrible. Is this a romance about two women? Or a romance about one woman and her DOG!!! Ridic. It was medium smutty (frequency, not substance) but every single scene was the same and used the same shitty verbs and words to describe … parts. And some of the worst choices I’ve read. Terrible.
The writing is commendable, with scenes that come alive effortlessly. The choice of traditionally masculine character names is once again a favourite touch of mine.
I found Taylor's inconsistency in empathy frustrating, especially regarding anxiety disorders etc. Or perhaps she was just obtuse? Either way, I was enraged. The focus on child characters became tedious and uncomfortable, detracting from the enjoyment of the narrative.
There were also noticeable gaps in the narrative, leaving me confused about certain events and conversations that seemed to be missing. This disrupted the flow of the story.
Furthermore, while the romance between the main characters showed potential, it felt rushed and lacked depth.
So I've thoroughly enjoyed this entire series but I have to admit I think this last instalment is by far the best. Wyatt and Taylor were such an excellent couple and the way Taylor was so in tune with Wyatt's needs showed just how good their chemistry was. Well worth the read.
4.5 star book. I’m sad that the series has come to an end but what a better way to end things than with Wyatt and Taylor’s story. I was a little disappointed when I felt like there was a ton of Wyatt’s story left out. Like, why did she stop talking to her family? What exactly happened with Wyatts EMT job and how did she become an author? Also, Taylor never really acknowledged her as an author or asked her questions regarding it. AND!!!!!! What happened with Taylor’s resort she wanted to build and to Wyatt’s cabin?????? Idk I just felt like a lot was left unsaid but regardless I love this author and this series! You definitely feel like a friend in their friend group!
The first part of the book was great, everything after the cabin went downhill. Nothing really exciting happening, and it took me a long time to finish this book. Glad there was an epilogue for all 5 characters at the end.
This is my first venture into the Billionaire series - but it definitely won't be my last! The cast of characters Chloe Peterson has created is complex but entirely relatable. Their lives are filled with good times and bad, laughter and tears, wonder and fears, just like all of us. The love story starts with Wyatt rescuing Taylor after a snow storm. It then develops in a way that allows Taylor to in turn help "rescue" Wyatt by giving her strength to face her fears. Following their journey, meeting friends and family, plus a cute dog all make for a great read. . I can't wait until I get a chance to read more of the stories about these people and their friends.
Not realizing there are five books in this series and I started with Book 5. I am glad I did. Taylor and Wyatt come together at a time when both are seeking answers to what is missing in their lives. The chemistry and dynamics are what love stories are made from. I love the storyline and the characters. Mostly Taylor’s friendships. I appreciated Taylor learning the panic attacks and anxiety that Wyatt suffers from and the reasonings. The story took us from some of their past right into their future. Now going back to Book 1.
lacked all discussion about wyatt moving to new york, definitely could've been some. also missed the friend groups opinions on her and learning of her anxiety/supporting taylor supporting wyatt. more info on devon and alex now having a child?? no discussion about meeting wyatt's family just showing up. could've developed more background on why wyatt hadn't visited her family in so long. why does wyatt have gary's number?
Billionaire Taylor Kane runs a world wide network of fabulous resorts. In the mountains for the wedding of one of her best friends, she’s so happy but sad that she hasn’t found her forever love. Staying afterwards she goes on a hike to check out the area for a new resort. Lost in a snowstorm she falls down a mountain and wakes in the cabin of Wyatt Green a reclusive writer. Their story is one of healing and finding your forever love. Great series.
I actually enjoyed this book and the way it was written to tap into mental health issues. For so long, I’ve heard people call you crazy if you had mental health issues. Now, this story shows how you can love beyond measure if you meet someone who doesn’t judge you but wants to help you. Great read
Ultra rich Taylor takes a mountain hike in a snow storm to clear her head. Of course she injures herself and is rescued by beautiful loner Wyatt. I found this book to be all over the place, and unfortunately didn't care enough to sort things out in my head. Did not finish. The best character is the dog.
i loved all of the books in the billionaire series but this one took the freaking cake! the relationship taylor and wyatt share is so beautiful and playful and so full of love and healing
From the snowy mountains in a romantic cabin to bustling New York City, Wyatt and Taylor and a Golden Retriever therapy dog extraordinaire begin a life journey. Close friends make this story even better. I loved them all.
Have read 3 in this series so far. Books 1,2 and 5. Loved them all. Taylor is the last of 5 friends to find love. She wanders off in a snow storm. Listening to no one about how bad it will become. Saved by a beautiful woman and a lab leads the way to a HEA.
This is a genuinely fantastic book. It has a bit of everything, love, heartache, romance, friendship & a golden Labrador named Mr Michael Keaton. Great book, definitely 5 stars.
This book was very cathartic and interesting . I loved everything about the book, and I can't wait for the continuation. The free one didn't do it for me. Thanks for the free.🥰
This was perhaps my favorite part of the series. I love the damsel in distress trope and how the characters find themselves falling deeper in love with each other as they come to terms with their own insecurities and emotions.
I loved this whole series, truly. But this one seemed to drag on for me. I loved the vulnerability and realness the dynamic between the two women, around mental health, played out but it wasn’t as sexy and easy to read as the others.
4.75 - I probably shouldn‘t have started with the last book in the series because I was supposed to know all the people in the first chapter and it was confusing af.😅 But I really enjoyed this one! I’ll continue with the first book now.🙈
I like this group of friends. I especially like Wyatt, Taylor and Mr Michael Keaton. Smartest dog in the world. Should be a service animal for his ability to help Wyatt’s anxiety.
This was a cute, enjoyable, more lighthearted sapphic romance compared to what I typically read but I still enjoyed it. I loved the forced proximity and sexual tension between both the MC’s. I probably should have started with the first book in the series and not the last but oh well.
