Daddy's Little Sunshine

Rate this book
“But I’m a princess boy because being a prince would be very boring. They just wear suits and look bored until they find their princesses. I’d rather be the princess. They have more fun and they wear pretty clothes. Littles should always have sparkly clothes.” - Addison

Addison knows princess littles are the best kind of littles but sometimes people don’t always understand. He’s a tiny bit worried his wonderful delivery man won’t understand but not enough to keep him from asking out the amazing man who brings him cookie dough and pizza.

Anyone who brings treats and smiles so big has to be the perfect Daddy, right?

Tate knows there’s no one in the world like the sunshiny cutie with a sweet tooth and a passion for silly games, but he doesn’t realize just how special Addison is until the charming man asks him out on a date…and about his views on Daddies and princess littles.

Sometimes finding Mr. Right is a struggle, but sometimes fate delivers him along with the best cookies a little ever had.

I think this is a case of it's me and my mood versus the story in the book. Might try again one day.

Daddy's Little Sunshine by M.A. Innes was part of the Dirty Daddies Pride 2023 Anthology. It has been expanded by 40,000 words for this release. This is the story of Addison and Tate. I loved their story. It was cute, sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written.

This book was EXHAUSTING!! Addison seems to be in his Little mindset ALL THE TIME which was just too much for me. It was like listening to a very hype kid talk non stop and repeat the same things over and over. It’s “I’m a very good princess” “Daddy is so smart” on repeat.

The daddy wonders about the line between grown up/Little Addison but honestly it just felt like there was no separation. It’s a wonder this guy managed to be go to college/get a job because it seems he only talks about being a princess, watching his dragon show and eating cookies.

We don’t really get a picture of who those characters are. As always with this author there are no/very little physical descriptions so it’s confusing.
This author is a mystery to me: I’ve read some good books by them but then so many don’t make sense. They seem to jump into the story and have dialogues that sound weird.

And one more problem with this novel is that it’s too long. It could have worked as a novella but here at 43% they are already at “I love you” level and almost moving full time together. So what’s left for the remaining 150 pages??

My time is too precious to find out I give up.

This was a sweet story about Addison and Tate who did a crash course on being a Daddy after finding out that was what Addy needed. I found that there was too much concentration on the little side of things and very little to prove he was capable of being an adult. I also wondered how a delivery driver could buy as much as he did for Addy. I did find it a little hard to follow the conversation at times. This was an MM story with mature content and a DSM-like DDLB dynamic.

I don’t understand how some of their books are fun and enjoyable and others I have to skim through because the stories are ridiculous, repetitive, and hard to follow. Almost DNF’d

Tate is a delivery driver who brings Addison his frozen food orders. This is the last one as Addison is going back to college and moving. Tate asks him out since it is no longer a conflict of interest. Addison is looking for a Daddy. Tate has no idea what is involved but he is willing to learn for Addison. As their relationship develops, Tate learns what makes Addison happy. He also teaches Addison how to be more adult in the outside world. Will they stay together?

I enjoyed this story a lot. I was learning along with Tate and Addison. Addison could be different ages at different times within the same day. I liked how Tate was so patient. He was able to convey to Addison that there were no specific rules, that they could do their relationship however they wanted. I also liked that Addison learned how to respect other people's privacy.

This is a fun, happy story that made me feel good. I look forward to reading more of this author.

I'm the type that once I start a book, I have to finish no matter good or bad. I've read many books by this author and enjoyed all. This one in particular was different. How many times can we say. "Daddy", I have a smart Daddy", I have a sweet princess", etc. Taking out 75% of that since it has been acknowledged too many times and put more of a story into it would have passed better. And the "Princess" was more of a Daddy than who should have been. Maybe Daddy ( being a new experience for him) needed to do some research or talk to another Daddy to get some ideas how it works and go from there and figure out what works for them. Daddy just went with what Princess said how it works. And Princess was more "Little" than big. At least it's what I read. There was very little adult/adult time between them. It was not for me, but as said, I have to finish what I start.

🛑 DNF chap 12

I MELT for a good Daddy/little and this is a GOOD story that I am so glad I purchased early. I already love M.A. Innes, haven't met a book she wrote that I didn't like, so I was very interested in starting this story.

Addison is a princess dress and tiara wearing little. Cause all littles need a tiara 😉 He likes chicken nuggets and cookies. Tate is his dealer 🤭🤭 I mean delivery man. Addison shows Tate his little side in subtle ways and he is positive Tate is a Daddy without knowing he is a Daddy. They are both attracted to each other and when Addison lets Tate know that he will be moving soon and no longer needing his deliveries they finally get on the same page and make plans for a date.

Addison shows Tate his little side and though Tate isn't familiar with the dynamic he is definitely interested. Tate starts researching and the more he looks, the more he likes. I love how they explore how they want their Daddy/little time to look and how their whole relationship evolves.

M.A. Innes is such a talented writer and her newest addition, Daddy's Little Sunshine, is a must read, must love story.

The dialogue in this book is bad. Sometimes confusing. The speeches and internal dialogues are childish, ridiculous. I hate it when an author writes a Daddy/Little book that is so stereotypical, personalityless and creative. It was suffered.

This book was on my reading list, firstly because I love the theme and secondly because of the cover that I loved. I was reluctant, as I've already been burned by this author before. It's a shame that not following my instincts would have saved me a lot, especially time.

I feel frustrated that I can't finish reading it. I hate when it happens.

I even tried to read the version made for the Dirty Daddies Pride 2023 Anthology. I thought, "Maybe if I read the shorter version, I'll be able to finish it." Sweet, bitter deception. I couldn't, of course. And I still had the question of why the author thought it would be a good idea to expand the book. People. For love. This is torture.

What did I like about this book? The Cape. And even that is giving me goosebumps when I look at it.

I haven't read the short story, so this was a new tale for me.
Addison and Tate are great together since their first date and how they grow together is an amazing read.
Two things I really liked is that the little is very sure of himself, Addison knows himself and thinks he deserves the very best daddy and he is not shy in his believes. The other is that limits and safewords are in the background, as something they have done but off-page and I think this benifits the story overall.
I missed perhaps seeing Addison as a waiting tables from his perspective seeing he is a very known character in Innes` college..
I liked it!

I read the original short story featuring these characters and was so pleased to reread their story with additional scenes. I would have taken another hundred pages of their relationship please and thank you. Addison is a delightfully sparkly princess and Tate is his perfect Daddy. I loved their meet cute - racing to the doorbell was such an Addy thing to do. MA Innes has the best character pairings. I wish a bit more had been revealed about Addison's mysterious roommate at college, but it was fun to get the cameos at the club fair. Loved.

Brilliant extension to the one in the anthology. ( Dirty Daddies Pride 2023)
Addison is a bundle of fun who's mind doesn't stop . He is constantly on go faster.
When he sees Tate delivering his cookie dough for the last time he had to ask him out but couldn't get the words out, so Tate asked him.
Addison had to let Tate know he was a princess before anything , and Tate accepted him as he was , his sunshine.
Loved this story it was so cute and full of energy especially when Kevin met Addison.

Daddy's Little Sunshine was originally a short story in the Dirty Daddies Pride 2023 anthology, and I really enjoyed it. The author has extended it to give us lots more of Addison and Tate falling for each other, and I like it even more. I like the confidence Addison has as a little princess, even though he's much more shy as an adult. And I love that Tate finds him adorable and perfect either way. This romance is sexy, cute, and fun, and these men are great together.

I like this author and read most of her books (Shaw as well) but this one... there is just smth not right. Repetitive, too long for a such lack of action, little/princess is quite enough to make a character unique, why adding pet play? And this new daddy gives his little the same lines other handlers give their pups. Don't get me wrong - i love pet play. Actually i love reading about it more then about littles. But here it was just too much

I loved this story in the anthology. This extended version is even better. I wanted more Addy and Tate. I couldn’t stop smiling all the way through. This is one no M. A. Innes fans should miss. It has everything we love about their work. And the cameos made it even better. Now I want to know more about Damon.

Loved it, Addison was just adorable. I do wonder though if in the long run, this wouldn't get exhausting for Tate. I think Addison is a little 95% of the time he's around Tate. But aside from that, they had the cutest relationship. I liked seeing the dynamics of a little starting college.

Little Sunshine

This was a sweet DD/lb romance. The two main characters get to know each other through a food delivery service, and once Addison will no longer be a client, they ask each other out. Tate knows very little of the daddy/little lifestyle, but he catches on quickly, which is made easier because Addison knows what he wants and needs, and is willing to talk things through. They are very cute, and there are a couple of cameos from other books, and I hope there are more stories to come from this college town!

3.5/5 ⭐

A sweet age play romance that's light on plot, but full of heart.

Tate and Addison are ridiculously adorable together.

It's taboo-lite, but mind your squicks.

So sweet

Such a sweet story. I loved Tate and Addy’s relationship and how they made it their own way and not as others in the same lifestyle. The banter, the laughs and most of all the love was so cute. Such a great couple.

No plot, just vibes. Might have worked better as a novella honestly rather than be expanded.
