Je crois opportun de livrer au public quelques extraits du journal que j'ai tenu, ces derniers mois, au cours de mes expertises. Dépêché par une agence interspécifique, j'ai pu approcher certaines populations de grands végétaux pour développer le champ de nos droits et devoirs mutuels.
Les échanges effectués avec ces arbres ont été libres et approfondis. Les comptes rendus qui suivent me semblent susceptibles d'en témoigner éloquemment.

Jean Echenoz is a prominent French novelist, many of whose works have been translated into English, among them Chopin’s Move (1989), Big Blondes (1995), and most recently Ravel (2008) and Running (2009).

The diary of a negociator in a round of collective bargaing - but the side of the worker is taken by the trees of the word, used for woods, fruits, paper etc. Though it might be not as thoughtprovoking as the author might have planned, it is a nice and pretty funny short story I enjoyed.
