Single Dads' Club #4

The Bartender's Baby

Rate this book
I never thought I wanted to be a dad until my bartender told me she was pregnant.

Tabitha and I have worked together for a decade, and she’s been my right hand for almost as long. Which is why her news hits me like a sucker punch, awakening feelings I'd buried deep.

And suddenly Tabitha—my Tabby—is all I can think about.

When the baby's father bails, I know I have to step up to take care of my girl. Whether it’s delivering groceries to her door step, helping her buy a new car, or going to ultrasounds, I will do whatever it takes.

Even move her in with me.

Because I’m all in. But her past trauma makes it hard for her to trust anyone, and that’s okay. I’m willing to be patient.

At least until the baby arrives.

Long time college student and bartender Tabitha has had a forever crush on her boss of a decade Nate, but they’ve never been friends with benefits. Rather, whenever she has a man to scratch an itch, Nate’s had a fling as well. Tabitha’s most recent mismatch has left her with a permanent souvenir, one about which he’s exceedingly unhappy, vowing not to be in the child’s life and certainly unwilling to participate financially. After an ugly confrontation with him, Nate bodily removes him and stuns Tabitha with his protective nature, as she’d known Nate to be against parenthood.

Bar owner Nate’s upbringing was one of difficulty and poor parenting. When he’s made aware of Tabitha’s impending motherhood, however, his stance against it crack wide open, and he’s immediately on board to care for both Tabitha and the baby.

As they navigate the new normal together, Nate shows up for Tabitha and her baby to be over and over again, in ways both small and critical. He shows his hand quickly about his feelings for her, but Tabitha takes a little more convincing.

This novel is a beautiful depiction of finding family in whatever form it arrives, embracing it, and flourishing together. Tabitha is allowed to remain strong and capable throughout, while Nate is the most delicious cinnamon roll with a delightfully k!nky top note. It’s everything I’ve come to expect in a Sophie Andrews book: smart, steamy as all get out, and very satisfying.

I was very fortunate to have received an advance reader copy from the author, and I’m pleased to share my enthusiastic recommendation.

4.5 - Thank you so much to the author for an advance copy of this book!

This book is out now!

I have been raving about this series ever since I read the first book of this back in the fall of 2023. And I have been obsessed with the men of the Single Dad’s Club.

The series concludes with a focus on Nate who isn’t technically a “single dad” but is an even more important role as a man who is stepping up to be a dad to his longtime crush/employee Tabby’s baby.

As Tabby states, Nate was “truly written by a woman”. He is such a great book boyfriend and is just so in love with Tabby. His feelings for her and her situation made him reevaluate what he saw in his future. He originally did not have kids in that plan but this changed his mind and essentially will change him.

Just as Tabby has changed Nate, Nate also changed Tabby. She is a little rough around the edges and he softens her. He introduced her to his world and friends whom welcomed her with open arms.

In true Andrews fashion, she creates this world and characters that feel real and have real problems. I like that this strayed away from the typical tropes for romances. And I know this couple was going to get their HEA but the journey was a beautiful one to read!

This was so absolutely delightful. This entire series has been fun. I love the male friend group and support between them. This one was the perfect combo of sexy and sweet and lots of emotional layers to it. Nate and Tabby were a great pair that had great communication (mostly), and were a really lovely couple together.

I absolutely loved this book. All the books in this series have been so good. But I think this one, and Nate were my favorite. This is the pregnancy trope, but with a twist. And it’s what I’ve been looking for forever. Nate, immediately when he finds out Tabby is pregnant, he go into protective mode. Making sure she’s eating and drinking enough. He is just super sweet and supportive, even though the baby isn’t his, he is 100 percent ready to be the child’s dad. This book was soo good and I can’t wait for more from this author.

As much as I absolutely loved Tabitha, I couldn't care less about Nate. In fact I think he was annoying.

Tabitha's past is traumatic and I think that justified her need for love and support and how she reluctantly accepted his help. Of course she needed him but he was extremely demanding and went from 0 to 100.

I think what triggered me was that they were friends for 11 years, she saw him with women after women, he also admitted to her that when he saw her with her baby daddy (before they split), he immediately tried to find a hookup to forget. Once she told him she was pregnant and they both realized her baby daddy would not stick around, he was all in. Like my wife, my life, my forever etc

Dude where were you all these years? Why did you not understand that there is more under the surface? And he was supposed to be older and more experienced.

So the pacing was off for me.
But Tabitha is one of my favorite characters - I could almost picture her in my head and I wanted to reach out and give her a hug.

Nate & Tabby. Tab is a bartender in Nate’s bar for the past 10 years. Her pregnancy is what triggers Nate to realise their relationship/friendship should be more than professional.

Nate is the definition of golden retriever. He is literally the sweetest. And probably the most emotional hero I’ve met.
Tab was alright, she didn’t excite me with her behaviour. But she was a strong woman.

Just like the previous books, I liked that it was close to reality. And that’s why it felt good. To see how their relationship evolved and especially during a challenging situation. It’s another sweet, well written book by Sophie. I suppose I would have liked some more tension but despite that, I had a nice time.

-Dual 1st person POV
-Spice: 🌶️🌶️.5

Overall: 3.75/5 ⭐️ for me.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I was looking forward to this book since the beginning of the series. Nate is something else 😁
He always was an honorary member of the Single Dad Club. Honorary because yes, he was single, but not a dad. And he never wanted to be a dad. He loves all his "nephews" and "nieces", but his own kids, no. And yes, that's totally fine. But sometimes life goes in other ways than we planned. And yeah...

Nate is the poster child of a golden retriever MMC. Abso-freaking-lutely 😍 And he is sooo 🔥🔥🔥 God. This cover model 🥵 He is so 100% my kind of man 🤩 That's why I love real people on covers so much 😁 And yes, that's 100% Nate. And if you know me, I'm an absolute sucker for dog dads 🤩 And OMG, Lucy... She is such a special dog 🙈 She's a bit crazy. Poor puppy 😞 But still so cute. Especially the scene when Nate put her in the baby carrier 🤣
And he has a LOOOOONG time crush on Tabby. More or less since they met. And now? Now she is pregnant by another man 😖 I so love this trope. Him not being the father but the dad 🥰 And OMG is he OTT protective. I'm so in love with Nate 🩷

Tabby is as special as Nate. She is a black cat. Suitable to his nickname for her "Tabby Cat" 😁 But she also had a very dramatic past, and please!!! check TW for this one! I know not everyone can read about it. I don't want to spoil anything for everyone else. Of course, I felt sorry for Tabby 😭 But she has Nate now and... I really have to stop swooning about him 🙈

This book is just so wonderful. But that's nothing new with Sophie's books. She just knows how to create wonderful men and them falling for the right (or sometimes not so right at this moment) women 🩷

This one is my favorite so far! Each book just tops the last.

Nate and Tabitha were so great together perfect black Cat and golden retriever Vibes

Nate stepping up for a baby that wasn't his was so sweet he really did love him like his own you wouldn't have known they weren't biologically related from how he was right from the get go.

They were his and he was was theirs 🥰 😭

Cannot wait for Sophie's next book!!

Wow, definitely wasn't ready to say goodbye to this series, but that was one hell of a final book!!! I love Nate and Tabby so much, they're literally PERFECT for each other, the way Nate takes care of her even when she pretends to hate it. It's the cutest thing. The way he defended her?! EXCUSE ME, damnnn. Just when I thought I couldn't love Nate more, he went and hit us with his 'Tabby Cat' like dude. This man is literal perfection and I'm going to miss him.

This series is so stinking cute! I love how amazingly sweet and caring Nate was. It made his steamy take charge side that much better!

I really liked Tabby and how together she was with everything! I totally melted when she finally started to open up to Nate and leaned on him more and more!

I think my favorite part of this story, and series really, was how much this group of friends leaned on each other! I loved seeing these guys fall!

Incredible, that is how I think I’ve described everything that Sophie has written, but truly it is. I normally hate the pregnancy trope; I don’t seek them out, but knowing Sophie’s writing and already loving Nate, I knew I would love it. (spoiler alert: I was right; Sophie absolutely blew my expectations out of the water.)

I swear I don’t know how she makes each dad better and better. I fell in love with each one, and thought, No way she tops this, and then surprise, she does. Each story offered such a different person, relationship, and relatable growth. I love the way Sophie can make you go from swooning over the actions of these men, blushing, and then straight crying, all in the matter of a few pages. I found myself crying almost as much as I found myself laughing while reading this book. Reading about both Nate and Tabby growing and working through their pasts together was everything I didn’t know I needed this month. Tabby’s resilience after everything she went through and the tough path that lay ahead of her was so good and healing to read. Nate's unwavering support and creating a space for Tabitha to work with her grief and feel safe was perfection. Not only that, but learning everything about pregnancy and showing up for her brought me to tears. I mean, come on, he had an app to track the baby's growth. He encouraged her to follow her dreams not by doing it for her but by allowing her the space to find herself. I also really loved the realistic parenthood descriptions; I feel like a lot of books brush over the struggles of a newborn. The way Sophie described their sleepless nights, juggling responsibilities (because life doesn’t stop), and the fighting when so exhausted was so real. Again, I don’t think I can come up with a better word to describe this book other than incredible. It's like you asking me to pick my favorite dad because (Dylan), but my god, now I think it's a tie between him and Nate (and all the other dads). It's hard to think of the single dads series as done, and finishing the last page honestly made me so incredibly sad. Sophie is an auto-buy author for me, and I think everyone needs the Single Dad’s Club in their lives.

Things I loved from this book:
The Dad Group Chats
Nate’s patience
Tabby’s resilience and growth
THE SPICE

Tropes:
Black cat x golden retriever
He takes care of her.
He falls first.
Pregnancy, but it’s not his

OH My goodeness I LOVED this book...
Nate is a dream I completely fell in love with him..He is so protective and a bit over bearing towards Tabby, but it is in such a sweet caring way.
This is a friends to lovers romance as Nate and tabby have been both friends and work mates for 10 years..They have both secretly been attracted to eachother but never done anything about it,then something surprising happens.
Tabby is pregnant with her current boyfriends baby and boom !! a switch flips inside Nate and he starts to see Tabby in a whole new light.
The way Nate takes care of Tabby forces her to recognise how he feels about her and her feelings for him becomes strong too.
Tabby has issues with her past which makes her hide her feelings and put on a tough persona,so it is difficult for her to accept help and love from someone,so this becomes a problem.
Nate also has issues with his father and abandonment that is why he remained single and was adament he did not want children.
Then the woman he adores becomes pregnant and there is a shift inside him and even though he is scared,he wants to be there for Tabby and the baby...He wants to be a Dad.
I swooned so much reading this book because Nate is adorable I LOVE him
They are electric together their steamy times are HOT,HOT,HOT.!!!..
I love this series about single dads who find their soul mates..and Nate and Tabby's book was a perfect and surprising edition to the series.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
Excellent story.

“Because I loved her and wanted what was best for her...I loved her. I loved Tabitha Reynolds, my bartender. F******ck."

The Single Dads Club series holds such a special place in my heart. The stories in this series are not only sweet & emotional, they are also spicy. Each book of this series has somehow topped the last, and The Bartender’s Baby is no exception.

"Day after day, I’d come back to life. Because of him."

I have been impatiently waiting for Nate’s book and it did not disappoint. Nate has never wanted to be a father after he was let down by his own. But when he finds out that his bartender, Tabby, is pregnant, he doesn’t hesitate to jump in even though the baby isn’t biologically his. He can no longer hold back the feelings that he’s been suppressing and his heart is now proudly displayed on sleeve. He may be a golden retriever for Tabby, but he will quickly turn into a doberman if he feels that his family is being threatened. He is not afraid to burn any bridges that stand in the way of Tabby’s happiness. Tabby is slow to warm up to the idea of Nate being anything other than her boss because her past is full of loss and she’s not sure she can face life if she loses Nate. Nate has been the sun that has cleared the black clouds from her life since they met years ago. When Tabby finally opens her heart to Nate, her life becomes happier than she ever thought possible. Though their relationship isn’t free from ups & downs, they fight for the lives and family that they’ve always deserved.

"I’ll light your enemies on fire for you, princess."

Sophie Andrews has once again written a story that is hard to put down. The story pulls you in from the first chapter and the characters will keep you reading to find out what happens next. Sophie is not afraid to broach serious subjects, but she does so in a way that makes the story feel real. Like whatever is happening in the story is happening to the reader or to a friend. This may be the end of the Single Dads Club era, but it’s not the end of reading Sophie Andrews’ books.

“And to all the women still looking for a man who will light a match in your honor, they are out there. I swear it. But until you do, enjoy Nate.”

The Bartender’s Baby is my favorite book in the Single Dad’s Club series! The interactions between Nate and Tabby are so much fun to read. They both have strong personalities and Tabby is definitely not a pushover when Nate tries to tell her what to do or how to take care of herself now that she is pregnant. But Tabby does like that Nate looks out for her even if she thinks she shouldn’t depend on him. Tabby is afraid if she admits her feelings for Nate (to herself and to him) that she’ll somehow lose him. Nate has had a thing for Tabby ever since he hired her to work in his bar, but he’s never acted on his feelings because he thinks he isn’t worthy. Nate hates the guy that Tabby is seeing in an on-again/off-again relationship, and really hates that the guy doesn’t treat Tabby right when he finds out about the pregnancy. Nate might be a softy around Tabby, but his inner caveman comes out when the people he loves are mistreated! Nate and Tabby learn to navigate the bumpy road of their relationship especially after the baby is born, but Nate is all in with being a father figure to the baby and a partner to Tabby. Tabby takes a while longer to catch up with Nate concerning her feelings for him, but they eventually manage to understand each other and work out their family dynamics. One of my favorite scenes is when Nate takes the baby and joins the other single dads for a play date at Imagination Station!

ARC REVIEW

Looking for a golden retriever hero who turns into a Doberman to protect those he loves? Look no further than Nate in 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓’𝒔 𝑩𝒂𝒃𝒚, book 4 in THE SINGLE DADS’ CLUB series, live on January 3rd.

Right here is the book you need to lift your spirits and put a smile on your face while swooning over Nate and his “Tabby cat.” Oh. Probably my new favorite nickname too! Tabatha may not like it much but I sure do. And the steamy scenes are .. . Yea. Wow.

I LOVED this book. Every damn page. Nate and Tabby have been skirting around their attraction for each other for years. He owns the bar where she works. She’s also going to school to get her accounting degree. And he’s opening another business too. Work is everything to Nate. Tabby keeps her emotions locked down. Until she announces she’s pregnant and Nate realizes she’s the one. He may not be her baby daddy but she and her baby belong with him. Priorities begin to shift. Nate is determined to take care of her and the baby.

The boys are back, the dad’s club is in full force, harassing Nate in their text group. The guy who never wanted kids turns out to be the very best man Tabby could ask for. And the guys all know it too.

This is a standalone, but I recommend the first three books in this series too. This is my favorite. Hands down. For example, Nate realizing how well he knows his Tabbycat:

𝘚𝘩𝘦’𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘰𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨, 𝘴𝘩𝘦’𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘴𝘬 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘰𝘳 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘵.

And Tabby realizing how much Nate truly cares:

𝘐 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯’𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘱𝘴, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵. . .

They are definitely two characters to root for.

Don’t wait on this one. It’s special.

Ok, I liked this book, I was looking forward to reading Tabitha and Nate's story from the previous book as their dynamic was interesting and it didn't disappoint. The surprise pregnancy is a trope I like and here Nate, although not the father, takes charge (before he has something with Tab) and it was nice to read, the romance was slow but sure and kind of cute.

Now while I liked it there were some internal dramas of the two main characters that I felt were too much, and made me not enjoy it much (or how I expected to enjoy it), otherwise and taking that out the book was an enjoyable and quick read.

📌 I received an e-arc, and this is my honest opinion/review of it.

4.5 - “I’ll light your enemies on fire, princess.”

Huge thanks to the author for the aARC in exchange for an honest review. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: Sophie Andrews is the best romance author you’re not reading!

The fourth book in the Single Dads Club series did not disappoint. I’ve loved this series from the very beginning. It has the emotion and humor I want from a romance series and each book feels unique. All of the characters grow so much over the series and I love that they all pop up in each book.

Nate is an absolutely swoon. He comes off as a little overprotective and overbearing, but from his perspective it’s clear how much he cares for Tabby. He’s also surprised how much he wants to be in her and her baby’s lives. Seeing Nate’s insecurities and struggles and having him come out the other side so confident was a joy to read. Tabby is so cool and self-assured, but her previous trauma makes her vulnerable during her pregnancy. When she opens up to Nate and lets him in, it’s so satisfying.

“Just know that every part of my live, every pieces of my heart, is yours.”

The other dads are so supportive of Nate and it’s just so lovely to read. The series has cultivated such a community between the characters so having them around and offering advice feels perfect. I have just really loved this series so much and I can’t recommend it enough.

The Bartender’s Baby was another fantastic addition to the Single Dads Club series by Sophie Andrews. I have been interested in learning more about Nate since the beginning of the series, and Tabitha (Tabby) was the perfect heroine. Tabby and Nate have worked together for a decade and have been good friends, but when Nate finds out Tabby is pregnant, he realizes he has feelings that run much deeper than friends.

I loved seeing Nate step up and support Tabby, even though he was never interested in having kids himself. Tabby has been through a lot of trauma in her life and Nate was sensitive and caring, while also being overprotective at times. Nate was really just a super protective golden retriever and I loved it!

I loved how Tabby was so independent and strong, but Nate helped her see the value in having a support system. Tabby brought out Nate’s sensitive and nurturing side, and helped him realize his relationship with his own parents didn’t have to dictate his future. Even though their relationship wasn’t always easy and Tabby was slow to open up and trust, I loved how they communicated and supported each other throughout their journey.

Nate is such a perfect Golden Retriever, even if he's not fully aware of that. He's always supportive and always there for his loved ones, but turns into a Doberman, if something threatens them. And Tabby is a Black Cat with a sad backstory.
It was heartwarming to see how those two finally found their HEA, after years of work relationship and friendship.
I am a big fan of how Sophie Andrews write ending of her stories - no spoilers - I just appropriate the way she balances dreams and plans of both of her main characters, so it doesn't feel like anyone is making a sacrifice. It's more like they work towards a compromise and learn how to communicate, to meet their needs and make their plans and dreams come true.
I also loved seeing glimpses into other Single Dads' stories and their kids shenanigans.

Quick history lesson about WW2 though: Poland wasn't Nazi, it was invaded by Nazi Germany, hence all the horrors that happened there.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Nate & Tabs story started out with her just being his best co worker and bartender at Walt’s. Tabs always quite and kept to herself while Nate’s had a crush on her. Everything changed when he was told she was pregnant with another man’s baby. He instantly went over and beyond for her. I loved how he jumped into protective dad mode so fast over Tabitha and her baby. He made sure she had everything she needed. Even though he tried to hide all his feelings they were there the whole time, and it was cute. Tabs and Nate’s relationship was cute she was always annoyed with how protective he was and is but in the end it was always love.

This book is a cute read, at first i felt confused with the other dads but that’s because i didn’t realize it was the fourth book of a series but it can be totally read as a stand alone. Enjoying reading this book because it was good and i think a lot of people will like it.

Sophie has saved the best til last. The Bartender’s Baby is the final book in the Single Dads club series, a standalone story of bar owner Nate and his bar manager Tabby with interconnected characters from the previous book in this series. Nate is your ultimate golden retriever hero here and his love for Tabby is just swoon city! Tabby is your black cat heroine who has already gone through so much in her life, Nate just wants to make sure she never feels like that again. A gorgeous story of friends to lovers, stepping up and stepping out of their comfort zones together with guaranteed spice and a HEA, even better there was no 3rd act breakup! What a way to end the series, I’m sad it’s come to an end but these books have been soooo enjoyable, please go read them all!

I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own

This is such a good series!

I enjoyed the connection between Nate and Tabby. He's definitely the book boyfriend you wish was your real life guy! This couple certainly has bumps and boulders in their path towards their HEA, but Nate just keeps clearing the path, and proving to Tabitha that her trust is warranted and respected.

This was easy to enjoy, and I was done before I wanted to be. The guy friend group (detailed in the other books in this series) are great, and certainly give Nate all kinds of sass about his head-over-heels love ... which he totally deserves!

While this series does not HAVE to be read in order, it should be - for storyline continuity, and to avoid spoilers. Grab this today, it's good! I can't wait for the next one from this author.
i received a free ARC (thank you), and happily leave this review.

This book, the last of the single dad’s series was just perfection. We’ve met Nate before in the previous books and I never thought we’d see him here. But this book with Nate and Tabitha was just what I needed. Nate with his golden retriever smiles and Tabby with her black cat energy was YUM. Tabitha sends Nate reeling when she reveals that she’s pregnant. They’ve been working together for a long time and they’ve both been circling the idea of each other for almost as long but never quite connecting. Nate immediately steps up and shows Tabby that she’s one of his people and Tabby slowly lets him in and allows him to be there for her. Ugh. So good, right?

This hit all the feel good spots that I didn’t know my heart needed today. This was a shorter book and I loved it so much. Tabby and Nate are both so good and this was such a comfort read for me. I cannot recommend this entire series enough. This is literally the example people should be showing for men written by women because these guys are all amazing. Read this book and read this whole series because it will make your heart happy.

I received an advance copy of this book in return for my honest review.

Oh man Sophie Andrews just knocks it out of the park again. I am SO sad this series is over!
This follows Nate, the only one of the "Dads Group" who isn't actually a dad: until he realizes just how much he loves his bartender, Tabby, and her unborn baby.
This escalates really quick and becomes incredibly steamy: but this is yet another great example of how high levels of spice WORKS with a great plot. You immediately understand (especially if you read TRF) just where Nate's need to be a supporting father comes from, Tabby's reluctance to want to really trust in anyone, and the way their friendship blossoms from chemistry to love.
Like the others, I think this book shines from the dynamic of the men. Honestly its one of the few series where I don't really 'need' the female perspective: I could get everything I need from the male POV. I will miss their banter and ease with each other and am SO sad to see them go.
If I had to rank them, for me personally it would be Dylan, Jude, and then a tie between Noah/Liam..but man...this group is just perfection.

What a perfect ending to this series!

I have been so excited to read Nate's story since we met him in The Rehearsal Fling and he lived up to every expectation and more. In fact, I think this was my favorite book of the series!

Our FMC Tabby is...pregnant. And after over a decade of working together this finally gives Nate the push to recognize his feelings for his bar manager. These two were a true black cat X golden retriever couple and their dynamic was so fun to read. And let's face it... it was super satisfying to read Nate punching Tabby's baby daddy in the face. It was everything I wanted from a "not his baby" romance.

Sophie Andrews’ published a compelling, fun to read can’t put down single dad’s club romance. This is unique in the sense that Nathan despite fears choices to be a father. His love for the FMC Tabby or Tabitha allows him to face the fears and be a parent her unborn child wouldn’t have. I liked the rehearsal fling but loved Nathan and Tabby’s story even more. The complexity of Harrison, Tabby’s past and her own fears are what allows for some tense drama moments often found in romances. I highly recommend this book to readers. This is another top read for 2025, more like a six than the five sites allow as a top rating! Given Sophie Andrews a try, her writing is exceptional and stories worth the read.

Sophie has done it yet again. The Bartender's Baby is Nate's story. I don't recall seeing much of Nate in the previous three books of this series but I did remember him once I got into this book. I have enjoyed this series so much and will miss these characters. Nate and Tabby are so easy to love. He steps up to be the friend and later supporting partner for Tabby when she needs someone desperately. Their long standing friendship has held more than just two people sharing together, there are definitely feelings there that finally come to the surface. Nate is someone most women wish they knew and had in their lives. This book doesn't disappoint.

What was once a trusted friend and co worker situation between Nate and Tabitha has changed dramatically when Tabitha lays out a truth.
Juggling her life has not always been easy but doable. Independence can only go so far but is comforting in knowing that she has someone to fall back on if needed.
One kiss becomes the start of something real.
Take a wonderful trip and meet Nate and Tabitha.
Sophie Andrews builds a strong heartfelt story with many trial and tribulations.
She shows us how trust changes the trajectory of an unbalanced relationship and what makes it stronger.
The bonus epilogue is a must read , don't miss it!

Best book moment of my Winter? When Nate finally realizes he’s in love with Tabitha, duh! Then, watching Nate go full protector and cinnamon roll hero on her, just the cherry on top! I seriously adored the way Nate interacted with Tabitha. Not that Tabitha, the incredibly independent, strong will woman that she is made it easy on him. But wow, to watch both of their walls come crumbling down was freaking awesome. Which, once written down sounds like a terrible thing to say about someone’s emotional state, but really, when they give in to each other, just WOW!

I know this will stay as one of my top reads of 2025!
