Book 2 of the 3-book series The Apocalypse Sequence
They say at the end you return to the beginning ... That is certainly true for Elliot Brand who returns to Heidelberg, the city he once began his journey into archeology. The mission? Unravel the identity of the mysterious organization, that intends to end humanity. But with an enemy this ruthless, who can you still trust?
The confrontation in Iceland has put Professor Elliot Brand and his pregnant girlfriend Ashra Shah at the center of the global conspiracy to end humanity and they might be the only ones who can stop it. Elliot has to get access to the archive of his former mentor Professor Teller, where he hopes he will find answers.
But not everything is as it seems. They might have walked into a trap, set up by an enemy always three steps ahead.
For all those who love Michael Crichton, Indiana Jones, or simply archeology thrillers!
This is a three-book series, so don't expect all the answers at the end of second book.
Oh my Holy Father! How could this happened! The ultimate and unexpected treason! I was so happy during 99.9% of the book seeing how the protagonists interacted with love against every menace. And suddenly happened the incredible 0.1% ! I have to run to "The Apocalypse Sequence III" without having my tea!
It’s not clear what “ Deus Ex Machina the author will use to bring Brand back from the dead after the surprising ending. Much like the old Saturday morning matinee serial adventures, the ending is the epitome of “ cliff-hangers”.
How can a person you've been thru so much be the one to betray you at the end. So many twists in this part of the adventure, it's hard to figure out who's on your side. Different and interesting twist on Thule Society. Pretty good read.
Wow. Love this !! Really cannot believe the twist at the end. Did not see this coming. Hold on to your seats. What a crazy romance and discovery of all things hidden. On to the next.
This is a story with a lot of action with unexpected twists and turns. Anyone who loves adventure and ancient civilization will find this an intriguing read.
