I tore through this book in less than one day. The author’s tale of parenting a son with Bipolar I disorder made me mad, sad and full of empathy for her journey. As we read, over and over, about the many ways the system failed her family, I couldn’t help but ponder on the way her other son, Kurt, was feeling as her son who was sick, Riley, hogged all of his parents’ attention. I pray they’re both doing okay today.
