Love You Truly

Rate this book
Best way to get rid of an evil ex? Plan a fake wedding with a gorgeous heartbreaker and let the small-town gossip fly. What could possibly go wrong?

Just when I’m about to inherit my family’s sleepy winery and bring it to life, my old-fashioned parents throw a wrench in my plans. Thanks to my ex, they’re convinced I can’t run it without a man’s business savvy, so they’ve made him my partner.

The only way out is to marry some other guy.

Dash Corbett comes to my rescue with a pretend kiss in a cowboy bar, and we devise a one-year plan that will help us both. Dash needs a reputation makeover, and I need a husband. Win-win.

And falling for my fake fiancé? Not a chance.

Dash might have a distractingly hot exterior, but rumor has it he’s a playboy–and I’ve had enough of men who don’t mean what they say.

Then I get to know him.

Beneath the surface, he’s a guy with his own vineyard dreams and a cinnamon roll heart. He’s the first man to see me as more than a social butterfly. And when he touches me, I melt like butter on toast.

Soon our pretend relationship starts feeling very real. Especially when he says “my wife” in a possessive way that makes me believe our lie.

Falling for Dash could ruin more than my wine country dreams. But what if I love him truly?

Love You Truly is a standalone, small-town romance in the Buttercup Hill series, where the wine is chilled and the men are hot.

After diving into this and committing, I was able to read it pretty quickly. I enjoyed this story! Stacy and this series have been on my TBR for a minute (it seems to just keep growing and growing LOL). So when I received an ARC for this one, I was thrilled! This was a true standalone which I appreciated. I didn't feel like I was missing anything from previous books BUT do plan on going back and reading book 1 & 2 as I am intrigued and a series addict. Now to this one- I liked this reintro meet cute in the pickle aisle at the grocery store. I like how both of these characters had these "roles" that they had given themselves and hadn't been able to drop those masks with anyone but each other. I have ended up reading a few marriage or dating of convenience books recently and something I really enjoy is getting the dual POV of true feelings developing and then the question of are the reciprocated?? That was what I enjoyed the most in this one. The personal angst. The questioning. The convincing that adding in some spice won't change the dynamic at all but oh man are they always wrong! I liked the setting. The side characters and can't wait to see who falls next.

Mallory is looking forward to taking over her family's business. She has plans on plans on plans, but all of that changes when she finds out her parents split the business us with her and her ex-husband. The same ex who she can't stand but somehow her parents don't understand that. In conversation with her mom, she thinks that she will be placated if Mallory gets married so she is not doing the heavy lifting alone. Now Mallory has to find a husband. Enter Dash Corbett. The same Dash who she asked out via text and was ghosted. The same Dash who has now entered her life with a charged chemistry in his wake. They decide they can do this. She will get her business, and he will get grapes for his family business. No harm no foul and certainly no feelings. But then they decide what if they see where this thing goes. What if they throw some spice in and more. What if they start talking about the future like it's for real. What if their vows on their wedding day are the ones said behind the mask. But now that Mallory knows that her ex is in the picture no matter what she is worried that Dash will leave. So she gives him an out and hopes she will survive. What she doesn't know is that he is in this for the long haul, and he is going to prove it to her.

Dash feels like a failure. His family's company has changed so much with his dad pulling out and everyone of his siblings and him picking things up where he left them. They are in need of grapes and Dash doesn't know what to do. He certainly doesn't have time for a relationship which is why when Mallory asks him out, he doesn't respond. He doesn't know what to say because he really really wants to say yes. Now they are on the other side of the aisle in a partnership that will benefit them both. He can keep things platonic. Or so he thinks. Until he starts really thinking of her as his wife. Until he realizes he wants to wake up to her every day. Until he realizes that she is all he wants. Now he just has to show her and his family that they are for real.

Like I said, I enjoyed this one. I liked the way that the door was open for the next sibling to be gobbled up- I love me a second chance romance. I am looking forward to reading the other books and more by Stacy.

I enjoyed the first two books in the Buttercup Hills series, so I was excited to read this one! Mallory is looking forward to taking over her family’s business, but when she finds out that her ex-husband will be her partner, she ends up in a marriage of convenience with Dash. He has a reputation as a player and he is trying to prove to everyone that there is more to him than meets the eye. This was a super cute story! I didn’t like Mallory in the previous books, so it was great to see a different side of her. I understand her better now and I loved her relationship with Dash. I am excited to get the next book in the series!

This damn book y’all…. This book had me giddy through the whole book. Mallory and Dash get into a marriage of convenience and are so gone for each other. But they keep letting their insecurities get in the way of expressing their true feelings. “This is fake”, “he/she wouldn’t want this to be real because…” I thought I was going to throw the freaking book I wanted to shake them! They are so perfect for each other, so obsessed with each other. Ugh I loved every second of it.

“One dinner with this woman and she f*cking has me.”

“He gives me a closed-lipped smile that’s full of knowledge or promise about what might follow this first date. And I want all of it. Heaven help me.”

This is such a great book. I love the Napa Valley wine setting, and this group of siblings is always full of entertainment. This book focuses on Dash and Mallory, who both have interesting reputations. They decide to develop a fake engagement to help each other out. She has an obnoxious ex who thinks he’s entitled to her family’s land and business, and his family needs the grapes from said land and business.
I loved their chemistry and banter, and both of them are a little misunderstood, so they have that in common. I also enjoy the bit of mystery that is woven into this series. I really felt for Mallory and how delusional and disinterested in her they were. I’m looking forward to the next book and finding out what will happen next!

The sweet moments, the banter, the chemistry, the small town, the friendship, the fake marriage… All of this lesds to one of the more memorable love stories.

Mallory wants to take over the family business, but everyone in her life wants to make decisions for her. Dash also wants to help his family’s business but he can’t do it on his own, so that’s when these two end up in a marriage of convenience and end up falling in love with each other. I absolutely love how they communicate through it all and let’s not forget the spicy moments!

This was such a cute and fun book, super easy read and hard to put down.

I love the fake relationship trope. I just had no idea how much I would love the fake relationship/marriage of connivence trope with a winery. Mallory is desperate to get her ex out of her life and seeks Dash's help. Little do they both know, they are perfect for each other. Dash is definitely a swoon worthy hero! I listened to this one and once again Hannah Chiclana and Wesley Mercer knock it out of the park. The narration really completes this story.

The third book in the Buttercup Hill series, this is a sweetly romantic fake relationship/marriage of convenience romance with a gorgeous hero and a heartfelt love story, and I really enjoyed this one.

Dash works with his siblings running his family’s vineyard. Each book is about a different sibling, and though there is obviously character crossover, you can read this one as a standalone.

Dash is the young, cute brother with an undeserved reputation for being a player and, working in HR, he doesn’t really feel like he contributes as much to the business as his brothers and sisters do. Mallory is about to inherit her family’s vineyard, and she’s desperate to take control and prove herself, except her ex-husband keeps getting in the way. When he confronts her in a bar, Dash comes to her rescue, pretending to be her fiancé, and it sparks an idea. If they marry, it means Mallory can legally keep her ex out of her business, and in return, she’ll provide the grapes for Dash’s winery. It also means that Dash can get rid of the nasty reputation he’s held for years, so it’s a win-win. Of course, to truly sell it, they have to make it look real, and that’s where the fun comes in.

“By the end of tonight, everyone here will know we’re dating.”
“No,” I lean in and whisper near her ear so there’s no chance of misinterpretation. “After tonight, everyone here will know you’re
mine.”

Dash and Mallory are so freaking cute together! Though they both know it’s not real, there are real feelings there, and as they put on a very convincing show for the town, their attraction is irresistible, and it’s all kinds of steamy.

Dash kisses me like he’s on a mission to save himself before the end of the world, and I’m his only hope.
He feels like mine.

And all too quickly, everything is changing.

Maybe, just maybe, she’s feeling something for me. And as much as that kind of terrifies me because this is business, a bigger part of me wants her to feel it. I want her to feel what I can’t deny I feel.

It’s such a sweet romance. Though they don’t admit it to each other, they fall easily, naturally and hopelessly for each other, and their interactions and flirty touches suddenly have so much more meaning. As they come to terms with their feelings, they do have some things to figure out – emotional issues which test their relationship and their feelings for each other – but I enjoyed the character development as they learn to trust each other, and watching them work through it to get their happy ending.

Though it all, it was Dash who owned my heart as a man completely smitten, and I loved his playful, caring and sweet-hearted nature. And he even had me squeeing out loud with the epic line…

“Get your goddamn hands off my wife.”

Eeek! I love it!

This is a great read, and I’m looking forward to continuing on with the series.

3.5 stars.

Ohh make me swoon!!! Mallory is divorced, and she is told that she will not inherit her family’s land until she is married. Also, unless she is married, her ex husband, Felix, will have to be her business partner. Enter Dash. She’s known of him since high school, but they don’t really know each other. He comes to her rescue in a bar while Felix confronts Mallory. Now they are fake engaged. They come to an agreement to get fake married so that she can get her land, and in return, she will help him with his business. But is it really fake?

I’m going to say it again, make me swoon, Dash!!! Ugh! He’s sweet and sexy, vulnerable and strong, possessive and giving – he’s really just all the perfect traits wrapped up into one! I absolutely loved it (if you can’t already tell!)

Instantly, I knew these two were going to hit it off. Not many authors can successfully make the chemistry jump off the page and make the reader feel it, but Stacy Travis was extremely successful at making it happen. Also, there’s a few spicy scenes in the book, and those are done to perfection as well.

I’d love to read more about these two! This is the third book in the series, but I have not read the first two. What’s awesome is that I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything at all. That’s another nod to how great a writer Travis is!

Anyway, romance lovers, PICK UP THIS BOOK! It’s available now on Kindle Unlimited.

Buttercup Hill Book 3

Dash and Mallory's story was a delight. Their banter, sweet moments, and undeniable chemistry made their journey so enjoyable. Mallory aims to take over the family business, but her family's over-involvement in her decisions, despite being distant from her life, complicates things. Dash struggles with helping the family business and changing how the townsfolk perceive him. Their meet-cute was simply adorable 🥒, and from the start, it was clear these two were destined to fall in love, despite their efforts to resist it.

Ps: Ferris wheel 🎡 scene 🥵🥵🥵

🎧 The narration by Hannah Chiclana and Aaron Donaghue was once again fantastic! They allowed me to fully enjoy this story and fall in love with the characters.

5-star review Love You Truly (Buttercup Hill #2) by Stacy Travis

This was an entertaining romantic story that ticked all the boxes for me. Love You Truly was well written, and I quickly became hooked on Dash and Mallory’s story. I fell hard and fast for Dash; he ticked all the boxes for me.

I really liked both the characters and the banter between them was witty and had me smiling whilst reading. When Mallory finds herself in need to a husband, Dash steps up as he needs a reset on his reputation.

However what starts off as a fake relationship morphs into more and it was entertaining to watch their relationship develop. The chemistry between Dash and Mallory was intense and they really worked well as a couple. Neither of them expected to fall in love but fate works in mysterious ways.

This book was everything I look for in a romance and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Dash and Mallory are both plagued by reputations that aren't entirely true and I think it really helped to bond them together. They both fall for the real version of each other and it was beautiful!

I loved this marriage of convenience romance! Everyone thinks Mallory is only out for herself, but they couldn't be more wrong. Yes, she's very driven but she has an amazing heart. She has been used and taken advantage of her whole life. Dash is known as the pretty boy who breaks hearts and he was when he was younger, but is so much more. He has turned from his playboy ways and truly wants to help his family's vineyard.

These two see past the rumors and into one another's hearts. I loved how sweet and shy Mallory could be and how attentive and possessive Dash could be. They're both honest with each other until it comes to real feelings. Each one has insecurities when it comes to love but they work it out perfectly. I love them together so much! I look forward to more of this series!

This was a great love story and I really enjoyed reading it. Mallory is set to take over her family business but thanks to her ex her family is making it so she has to be married to do so. This is where Dash comes into the story, as the two of them come up with the plan for a marriage of convenience that will benefit both of them. Neither of them counts on them having real feelings for one another, so this story goes from a marriage of convenience to a real love between them. If you love small town romances, friends to lovers, marriage of convenience, this is definitely the book for you. Thank you to Stacy Travis and Valentine PR for the advanced copy.

I absolutely adore Dash! He is sweet and swoony and just the right touch of goofy.
He is more than just his good look and reputation, unfortunately that’s all people want to see.
Mallory is more than her looks and reputation and she’s determined to show everyone.
Dash is like a breath of fresh air compared to Mallory’s snake of an ex - Felix. He is also an opportunity that shows up just in the nick of time.
This romance was full of proving peoples misconceptions wrong, being true to yourself, and of course loving family and sticking together.
I loved the banter and chemistry between Dash & Mallory.
The narration was great.

So Good
This is such a great fake marriage to real love story that I couldn’t put down.
Mallory and Dash are realistic, relatable, cute, witty and sweet. The way their relationship evolves as they get to know each other is beautiful and kept me smiling.
The characters grow into people that are so much more than what they first appear to be.
Romantic, sweet, fun, steamy, great imagery and a wonderful HEA.
Going back now to read the first two books in this series while I wait for book 4 😉

Thank you to the author and Valentine PR.

Truly, her best book yet! Do I say that every time Stacy releases a new book? Maybe but it’s true every time.

Mallory shows us a whole new side of herself in Love You Truly. She was a side character earlier in this series, but this book can be read as a standalone too. Mallory seems to wear a mask to further her business connections but observant Dash is able to see past her facade and gets to know her down to earth side.

They are quite a good match even though it takes some
effort to convince their small town they are together and plan to get married.

Mallory + Dash forever. Mash Forever! ❤️

4,5/5 stars.

The fake relationship trope always has me wanting to read a book immediately, so when I saw this one was a fake wedding one, I was anxious to get my hands on it, and it did not disappoint. I loved the characters, it was great to finally get a book in Mallory's point of view, because in previous books I didn't really know what to make of her, but in this book, you get to know her better and therefore love her. I just loved Dash straight from the start and their story captured my heart. It was an easy and quick read and I really enjoyed it!

Mallory needs a husband, stat. Dash needs a reputation re-do. A marriage of convenience is just the thing to help them both, and it should be as easy as that. But we all know that fake relationships combined with close proximity and two people who already have chemistry equals fake turning real.

I think the thing I love most about this story is that both Mallory and Dash were not exactly as their reputations painted them to be. She had a reputation for being self absorbed but in reality was just intensely focused and trying to turn around her family's business. She loved her family, but chafed at her parents' outdated expectations and beliefs. Thank God for Dash, the one who looked past her image and saw the real person inside. He had an equally inaccurate reputation. In his case, his was just a leftover from his previous behavior, no one had bothered to look beyond and realize he was so much more than what he used to be. Mallory and Dash are a sweet couple whose chemistry lit my Kindle up with every page. I can't wait for more Buttercup Hill residents to fall head over heels now.

Dash and his Marshmallow

The Playboy and the biggest flirt makes a marriage arrangement.?
This was absolutely sweet and cute story
between the characters Dash Corbett and Mallory Rutherford fake engagement to falling in love!
Love You Truly is a standalone, small-town romance in the Buttercup Hill series, where the wine is chilled and the men are hot.
This story was sweetly narrated by
Hannah Chiclana and Wesley Mercer who did a pretty good job bringing this story to life!

Don’t take my word for it, just go and give this series a listen, each and every story Stacy Travis wrote is worth reading or listening!

Blurb
🍇Best way to get rid of an evil ex? Snag a gorgeous heartbreaker, plan our wedding, and let the small-town gossip fly. What could possibly go wrong?🍇

Mallory needs to quickly find a new husband to keep her obnoxious ex from taking over the operations of her parents’ winery, a plan her parents made behind her back as it would seem they have no confidence in her running the farm by herself, so needless to say she needs to come up with a plan to not let that happen.

🍇 Just when I’m about to inherit my family’s winery, the one I’ve dreamed of bringing to life, my old-fashioned parents throw a wrench in my plans. Convinced I can’t succeed without a man’s business savvy, they make my ex my partner.

Now there’s only one way out… get married--to anyone but him.🍇

🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍒🍇🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦

The dopey golden retriever who’s otherwise seen as the proverbial playboy Dasheil Corbett family is struggling while they also deal with their father illness, Dash has been racking his brain on how to come up with a way to save Buttercup Vineyards.
While thinking of Mallory after the pickle incident Dash met up again with her to once again save her from an uncomfortable situation, during which it was revealed that they are engaged!
Yeah shocking.. I know since he didn’t have a clue what was going on.
But yup he had this urge to step up and make her his!

🍇🍒When Dash Corbett rescues me with a pretend kiss in a cowboy bar, we devise a one-year plan that will help us both. Makeover Dash’s reputation and fulfill my parent’s antiquated expectations. Win-win.

Falling for my fake fiancé? Not a chance.

Dash might have a distractingly hot exterior, but he’s a reputed playboy–and I’m done with men who don’t walk the talk. But then I do something stupid. And dangerous. I get to know him.🍇🍒

Let’s just say things began to get heated up and more interesting as these two navigate through their fake arrangement.
And if there’s one thing I love reading it’s when characters are sticking it to an overly entitled obnoxious ex and having hot interactions with smoking hook ups while (air Quote) Faking it!
Yeah soooo good and this story pretty much makes me happy!

🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍇🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒

🍇🍒 Beneath the surface, he has vineyard dreams and a cinnamon roll heart. He’s the first man to see beyond my social butterfly exterior. And when he touches me, I melt into a puddle of wine, a vintage that forgot it was supposed to be sophisticated.

Soon our pretend relationship feels like forever. Especially with the possessive way he says “my wife,” making me believe our lie.

Falling for Dash could ruin more than my wine country dreams. But what if I love him truly?🍇🍒

This was such a fantastic experience listening as Hannah Chiclana and Wesley Mercer did an incredible job bringing this beautiful story of these two amazing Characters who people even the ones closest to them have misconstrued notions about them being flirty heiress and the playboy which is so far from the truth.
These two Characters love of family their business and unyielding dedication will be shown throughout this book.

The emotions warmth and banter was very infectious and evident during the storytelling,
Yes Hanna and Wesley were incredible with this continuing series of the Corbett family story that Stacy Travis has beautifully written!

I loved Love You Anyway, so I was so glad that I had I Love You Truly all ready to go and I dived in immediately!

Love You Truly is the third book in the Buttercup Hill series this book follows Mallory and Dash and it is such a heartfelt and heartwarming read. It was the kind of love story that made your heart flutter and make you swoon and feel giddy like a teenager in love. I am not always into overly sweet romance stories but Stacy Travis’s words are unlike many others I’ve read before and she has a way of pulling you in and capturing your heart and she did just that with Mallory and Dash’s story.

Dash and Mallory decide to fake an engagement and marriage to help each other out. Mallory is divorced from her idiot ex-husband. But has now been told that she will not inherit her family’s land until she’s married… and to make matters worse, unless she remarries someone else, her ex-husband remains a business partner and she is at risk of losing it all.

While dealing with her ex who seems to think he’s entitled to and trying to get his hands on everything… Dash comes into the picture. They’ve known each other since high school but they don’t know much about each other and haven’t ever really been that close. When Felix, Mallory’s ex harasses her into a bar, Dash is there to rescue her. They both come up with a plan to get fake engaged and married so she can get her land and in return, Dash gets help with his business. It’s a win/win for them!

But what started as a marriage of convenience, something they were both getting something out of, turns out to be so much more between them as they get closer and the chemistry between them intensifies. There is something special between the two of them and it’s obvious they belong together.

I am OBSESSED with Dash. I love him. He’s mine. Forever. Swoon… He is perfect. He’s so sweet, sexy, strong, protective, and loving... As I said. PERFECT! Stacy writes the best, the sweetest and the most loveable main male characters, it’s impossible not to fall in love with them.

Mallory comes across as a little self-centred and only in it for her own benefit in the beginning and as the story progresses you see her open up more that people couldn’t be more wrong about her. After being taken advantage of most of her life and treated like a doormat. She’s built a wall and has become a very level-headed, driven and very focused person. She works hard for what she’s got in life and no one can fault her for that.

These two refused to let gossip and other people's opinions get into each other heads. They were stronger than that and didn’t much care what others thought. However, when it came to being open about how they felt about each other and the relationship evolving into more than a fake one, they were both stubborn and both had insecurities they had to work on and they did work on them

My heart is so full after reading this, I honestly didn’t want it to end but I’m excited to see what’s next in Love You Too (Book 4) Trix and Ren!

I’m so glad I’ve discovered this author. I can’t wait to see what else is up her sleeve!

FIVE STARS

“No.” I lean in and whisper near her ear so there’s no chance of misinterpretation. “After tonight, everyone here will know you’re mine.”

I love a misunderstood playboy who falls head over heels for his girl and this absolutely delivered! Dash and Mallory proved that perceptions can be deceiving and the truth about someone may be hidden beneath a mask. Dash captured my heart from the very beginning! He had a playboy reputation, an image that couldn't have been further from the truth. He just wanted to be seen as smart and capable enough to contribute something meaningful, to maybe help his family expand their production of grapes.

Mallory was viewed by others in the town as a social butterfly who was only looking for a husband but she was actually so much more, driven and motivated, attending business school while planning to take over Autumn Lake from her parents. She proposed the idea of becoming Dash's fake fiance to get rid of her toxic ex for the good of her future business dreams, opening up the possibilities for Dash's family to expand Buttercup Hill as well.

I loved how Dash and Mallory saw beyond what others did, how real and genuine they were together, challenging perceptions and rewriting expectations, finding unexpected surprises as they learned more about each other. I loved their flirty banter and the chemistry between them was absolutely magnetic. The angst, the tension, the sweet kisses and stolen moments, the way they resisted giving in as they started to catch feelings, all of it was so easy to get lost in.

What was real and what was for show? What happens when you start to fall for your fake fiance? I couldn't get enough of Dash! Sure, he knew how to show a girl a good time but he was so much more than that. He had a heart of gold as he struggled with his self worth, capable of contributing so much more than what anyone gave him credit for. I was so caught up in him, his possessiveness and the things about him no one but Mallory could see. When he insisted on a real proposal for their fake engagement and later wrote wedding vows that came straight from his heart, I knew he would have a hold on me forever.

“If you tell him how you feel, you just might get everything you never knew you wanted.”

I love a good third act break and this book had exactly that. I was frustrated by the miscommunication but I loved the eventual declaration of feelings. I especially loved the newfound friendship between Mallory and Dash's sister, Beatrix, and I can't wait to read her story next. There's also a secondary story running through the series involving Buttercup Hill and the way the Corbett siblings are planning for expansion as they deal with financial issues and a half-brother they never knew about and I'm very intrigued to see how that continues. And I'm inspired to do it sitting on a patio under the sun's golden rays drinking a glass of cabernet. 🍷

****ARC****

Thanks to Grey's Promotion and Valentines PR for selecting me for this ARC. And a HUGE!!! thank you to the wonderful author for writing this amazing book. THANK YOU!!! ❤❤❤

P.S. I apologize for the late review. I'm still in the time span so I know it's not super late but I apologize still because I love doing reviews before release day so I apologize once again. ❤❤❤

This book truly took my breath away. I loved every second of Dash and Mallory. Their banter and their bond towards each other was just beautiful.

I loved how both characters actually faced the same adversities meaning people believed and judged them for something they weren't. They were so far from being a man whore or flirting their way into getting business. They were just two lost souls who needed to realize that their perfect match was right there and when they found each other, man that attraction was instant. Not that they didnt know each other already BUT they stood far away from each other. He had a childhood crush on her and she just had other things on her mind. I'm so happy for the Pickle Massacre, lol, that occurred because it truly brought them together. There were some miscommunication along the way and I wasn't a fan of that but that was the least of it for me because it wasn't a huge deal. They had the best people in their lives to knock some sense into them and let them know what's up.

I loved Dash's big family and she basically have found family in them as well. I love Mallory's bestie Mary and hope she gets her own book because she is a fiery one and we need more of that. I wasn't a fan of Mallory's parents, her mom's apology was okay but if she had really sat and listened to her daughter she would've known that she wasn't a fan of Felix one bit. And I believe that he was the culprit, I bet anything on it. Also, Graham. I think he's an interesting character and would love to see him in his own book as well...Graham and Mary sitting in the tree, lol. But I'm serious.

This book was incredible. It was a beautiful love story journey for both Mallory and Dash. Overall rating for this book is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5. And can we talk about the cute nickname that he gave her? I wasn't a fan at first but it definitely grew on me, especially when he mixed it with her name. Love it. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 And as for the spice, it was there and I was here for it. I mean of course they would agree to not only fake a relationship, but also give into their very amazing sexual Urges, agreed to be real friends, then fall for each other, have a slight miscommunication, admit they're inlove with each other and then live happily ever after. I love this book. I enjoyed this book so freaking much.

Love You Truly by Stacy Travis, expertly narrated by Hannah Chiclana and Wesley Mercer, is an incredibly engaging addition to the charming Buttercup Hill series, featuring the always-entertaining Corbett siblings and the gorgeous Napa Valley setting. This time, the focus is on Dash and Mallory, who embark on a deliciously intense journey through a classic marriage of convenience trope.

The setup is brilliant: Mallory is on the verge of inheriting her family's sleepy winery, but her old-fashioned parents throw a wrench in her plans by making her obnoxious ex-boyfriend a co-partner, believing she needs a man's "business savvy." The only way out is a fake marriage. Enter Dash Corbett, the heartbreaker of the family, who comes to her rescue with a pretend kiss in a cowboy bar. They devise a one-year plan that benefits them both: Mallory needs a temporary husband to secure her business, and Dash needs a reputation makeover, partially because his family needs the grapes from Mallory’s land.

Despite Dash’s distracting exterior and reputation as a playboy, Mallory is convinced she won't fall for her fake fiancé, as she's had enough of men who don't mean what they say. However, the chemistry and banter between the two are immediately palpable. As they spend time together, Mallory discovers that beneath Dash’s surface is a man with his own vineyard dreams and a true "cinnamon roll heart." He sees her as more than a social butterfly, and his possessive use of the term "my wife" starts to make the whole lie feel thrillingly real.

This is a book that will have you giddy with frustration and excitement. The main conflict stems from the characters letting their own deep insecurities prevent them from expressing their true feelings, making you want to "shake them" despite loving every second. Both Dash and Mallory are a little misunderstood, which bonds them, and their mutual obsession builds incredible heat and tension. The spice is intense, leaving you craving more, while the fear of losing one another because they don't know the other's true feelings is palpable. The narration by Hannah Chiclana and Wesley Mercer is fantastic, giving each character a distinct voice and truly bringing Dash and Mallory to life. This standalone, small-town romance is a great book that I absolutely loved, and I am highly anticipating the next installment in the series.

Wonderful Story & Listen🎧 Riveting & Emotional!

Love You Truly
Buttercup Hill, Book 3
By: Stacy Travis
Narrated by: Hannah Chiclana, Wesley Mercer

Stacy Travis pens another wonderful romance novel, and it is a great addition to her fabulous “Buttercup Hill” series. Each book in the series stands on its own and features a different member of the Corbett family, the family who owns and runs their own business and vineyards in Napa. This third book is Dash Corbett and Mallory Rutherford's story, and what a story it is, from their crash landing to both being in a pickle, and realizing how beneficial a fake relationship would be for both of them, each having their own reasons, ones that are for the betterment of their family-owned vineyards. The two come up with a plan, but when feelings develop, not everything goes as planned. It was great to watch these two navigate a relationship, one that came and grew naturally and one that became real, though neither one wanted to admit it to the other. Once again, Stacy Travis’ writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. The story is captivating from start to end, with plenty of drama, charming humor via witty dialogue and banter, heartfelt emotions, a touch of angst and a steamy romance. Thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 The wonderfully talented Hannah Chiclana and Wesley Mercer are versatile voice artists and they did a fabulous job bringing these characters to life. I loved how they took each role and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. Chiclana portrayal of Mallory was spot on and showcased every aspect of her personality, including her fierceness, wit and determination. Mercer did the same as Dash and was just as wonderful. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotional and had you feeling them all. These two are entertaining storytellers, and their performance elevates the story to another level. Thanks for another fantastic listen.

This was a super cute and sweet read. I really enjoyed reading about Mallory and Dash.

Mallory and Dash are both very misunderstood and the community has different opinions about each of them. Dash is known as the playboy whereas Mallory is known as a uppity and only out for herself. But both these assumptions are far off for these two characters.

I really loved how Mallory was a go-getter. She had plans for her family business and had it all laid out for what she wanted. Dash has dreams for his own wine business as well and when Mallory needs help they come up with a plan that will benefit the two of them by getting married.

I really adored the sweet moments between these two. Dash and his dates with Mallory were cute and took her out of her usual zone and I loved that. I love how supportive he was of her dreams and they were going to help each other. I so wanted a bit more of their story just because they really drew me in.

**Only read the next part for a possible spoiler **

I will say there was some things I wanted to see more of or wrapped up a bit better. Felix is being one of those I felt he was a problem and then poof he up and disappeared. I really did not care for Dash's brother Jax and the way he spoke about Mallory and Dash kind of letting him. It felt like Jax was jealous and even when Dash approached him about his opinion Jax didn't really have a good reason other than she wanted more and he didn't..(but yet he trash talks her). I also felt the whole fire situation was fast and we never really figured out what happened. I felt there were a few plots that were just skipped over or didn't have closure.

Overall a super cute love story and if you like a marriage of convenience this was a cute read!

Thank you to Valentine PR for the arc of this book.

Stop, drop and roll your way to Amazon and pick this book up. I promise you I’m not gate-keeping this series, but this one, she’s a solid 10/10. Probably my absolute favorite in this series and let me tell you why.

Dash and Mallory are some of my favorite, most relatable characters that I’ve ever read. I found in Mallory a kindred spirit and I feel like a lot of us girls will find ourselves in her. As for Dash, I also related to him in ways of I know exactly what it’s like trying to escape your past and a reputation you may have had.

Moral of the story, society always believes assumptions of other people instead of getting to know them, and that shit hit deep.

But why this book is my favorite, well dear readers it has some of my favorite tropes and yours. What else can do you when you’re trying to get your evil ex to go away, we’ll announce your fake engagement to hot throb, Dash of course.

The marriage of convenience had me in a chokehold with this. The banter was BANTERING! The spice was sizzling 🥵

We’re in a small Napa Valley town, where the gossip spreads like wild fire and its wine country, so you know this society is eating that drama up.

You have Mallory with our black cat energy and Dash, our sweet golden retriever boy and it’s just the perfect match up, you should’ve seen coming. But don’t let Dash’s gold retriever vibes put you off, he’s got a dirty mouth and when he says “my wife” ugh swoon 😚

This is book 3 in the Buttercup Hills Series by Stacy Travis - it is a standalone romance, that is part of an interconnected series. I highly recommend you read them in order for a better reading experience, because you’re definitely going to fall in love with Dash’s other siblings.

Sweet

Let me start by saying I liked this book. It’s sweet and romantic with lots of swoony moments. It has a MMC that I was fully on board with. Dash is a reformed playboy, misunderstood and typecast by his small town and the role he’s been expected to play. He’s the ultimate golden retriever boyfriend. He shows up, he cooks, he loves hard. Basically, he’s nearly everything I want in a small town book boyfriend. Mallory, the FMC has lots of growth potential as a woman working to shake off her reputation and be taken seriously in the wine world as she looks to inherit her families vineyard. The meet cute is cute, the chemistry is there and the relationship is brimming with potential. However, somewhere along the way there were just too many threads. I was never really sure who the antagonist was in the story and I never felt like I was able to settle into Dash and Mallory’s relationship. Mallory was never as fully developed as she needed to be for me to understand her motivations. Whereas Dash has all of the potential to be a first tier book boyfriend.

Stacy Travis a reasonably new to me author and I liked the other books in this series but I just felt like this one left me wishing I felt more invested. Because I really really wanted to be. It even felt like it was dragging under the weight of everything it needed to cover. All the parts were there for this to be a great book. However, the book skipped over all the parts that make me, as the reader, really fall in love. I’d honestly love to read a rewrite of this book. So this is good. It’s a sweet romance but it had several plot holes (mostly around the ex and the contract) and there was not enough depth for me to be sucked in. 3 stars. 1 pepper.

“Honey, you don’t need to do a thing where that’s concerned. When we’re talking pretty, you don’t just rewrite the rules, you are the rules.” — Dash Corbett 🤍

“Because I like you, Marshmallow. You’re different than I expected in the very best of ways. That’s why.” — Dash Corbett 🤍

"She grins beneath that ridiculous fucking hat, and it hits me that I could fall in love with this woman. Yeah. Except…I already have." — Dash Corbett 🤍

“Mallory, you are the light of my life. It’s true today, and it’s been true since the day we met, although I could have done without the pickle bath. But that’s just proof that even when the world seems imperfect, there’s something magical if you know where to look. With you, I never see darkness. I never worry about falling. I want to see the sun shine on your face in the morning, and I want to kiss you in the moonlight at night. I want to be there when the seasons change, and when I have good news, you’re the first person I want to tell. My world is better because I met you. I feel lucky to be your partner in sickness and in health for the rest of my life. And I feel lucky that after today, you will forever be my wife.” — Dash Corbett 🤍

“In my business school program, they taught us to research, run through all the possibilities, and come up with the best course of action. But I didn’t need to do any of that with you. I just had to spend an hour with you to know that marrying you was the right and best choice. I knew it in my bones when we met. I felt something that day in the grocery store that was unlike anything I’d ever experienced. It was the kind of magic I didn’t believe in, but I knew it was real like I knew my own name. This is the easiest decision I’ve ever made, and I know it will make me happy for the rest of my life. Because I love you.” — Mallory Rutherford 🤍

"I fell in love with him because he’s everything I’d want in a real husband. And he’s kinder to me than I am to myself." — Mallory Rutherford 🤍

“Yeah, I’ll bet. You probably thought the dumb pretty boy wouldn’t be able to grasp such high-level concepts, but I hear you loud and clear.” — Dash Corbett 🤍
