Reunited again—and I don’t f*cking care whether that’s a good thing or not.

Haunted by grief, plagued by hunger, we’re on the run—again. And mostly not from the undead this time, since I have my own special way of dealing with the zombies. It’s the living who think that survival of the fittest puts them on top of the food chain now.

Well, I got a surprise for you…

And, wouldn’t you know it, Jared is all for helping me stay strong… and full.

But there is hope for humanity yet, even if mine’s possibly lost for good. Resistance is rising, the intrepid few still fighting for a better tomorrow. Maybe not all is lost for those believing they are beyond being saved—or don’t give a crap about such mundane concepts. Yet times are trying enough that for a hot meal and a quiet night at a warm fire, we might just risk it all.

Only that none of us realized what we’d actually have to bargain for…

Because in the zombie apocalypse, things can always get worse.

I wish I could say I like this series. I hate to leave Lecter 3 stars as she quickly became a favorite author with the Green Fields series. But, I find Callie and Jared to be insufferable with their immature, borderline abusive relationship. I’m so tired of the drugs and the weird relationship the two main characters have. I also feel like they’re way too young to have lived the lives they lived before the zombie apocalypse. The whole storyline is ridiculous. I will finish their story with the next and final book, but I truthfully will be so glad to be done with this series.

Riveting.

An absolutely riveting and compelling read. Callie and Jared our 2 main characters are still alive and kicking and causing havoc as they usually do. I didn't like them much initially but I have to say that I like them a lot better as I've gotten to know them as the series has progressed, especially Callie, and this book just reinforces that liking. It's an impossible book to put down and I'm gutted that I have to wait for the next one to be ready. I cared for book and the series.

A dark journey through a zombie apocalypse

First reaction is holy crap. Just when you think you got it all figured out it’s all flipped on its head and turned upside down and scrambled around. If you ever thought surviving through a zombie apocalypse was going to be easy then you don’t want to live in this zombie apocalypse. Violent zombies twisted people demented people outright evil people and all the rest of the crap that goes on in a zombie apocalypse. Our main group of characters are not Snow White versions but they’re just trying to survive and the world is dumping everything in their path you can think of. There is blood there is gore there is twisted And violent scenes. There are some good people and yet even some of the good people turn out to be bad people. Read on and see where this portion of their adventure takes them. Will they make it through to their next destination or will zombies or the dark Demented enemies pop-up and crash the plans. Well it’s a zombie apocalypse you can never get too attached to any specific characters or put down the possibility of some particular enemy or new enemy popping up to distract or destroy our main characters path. Redone and enjoy a twisted romp through the zombie apocalypse.

I did NOT see this ending coming! If you love the zombie apocalypse genre like I do, you will absolutely adore this series. Full of action and twisted and evil (but likable?!) main characters, this series is for you. The writing is excellent, the characters are very well developed and the world building is some of the best I’ve seen - and I read a great deal. If you want an eye opening and a lot of ‘oh sh#t’ reading experiences, check out Adrienne Lecter and this series. You will not be disappointed!

Stellar Installation!

I started reading this, the audio wasn’t yet available and then since I absolutely love the narrator I shelved the last 3rd of the book so I could listen to the audio. It did not disappoint.
The character development that this author has created is top notch, I love the storytelling ability she has where I can never predict what is coming and that is what makes her so amazing. It is a fantastic skill.
Thank you for this series, this installation in said series and I’m sure I’m not the only reader eagerly awaiting the next book!

This has been a really good series. I have a few critiques, for example they say some words repetitively like 'subcutaneous fat' or phrases like 'I let my instincts take over' too much. Some of the dialogue is just a little funny because it has stuff that people don't really say in conversations. I gotta say that Axel dying really pulled on my heartstrings and I was really hoping that osprey wouldn't die. It has been really interesting to see how the relationship between Callie and Jared has grown and changes. It will be interesting to see how the last book concludes this series.

Just keeps getting better!

Impossible as it might seem this series just keeps giving! If you are considering purchasing this book on reviews alone you clearly haven’t read any of the previous of the series; because if you had you wouldn’t be reading the reviews!!!!!! Book 6 provides so many answers to the question that is ‘Callie’ and we get so much more info on Jared too. I’m not giving anything away here - buy and read the book!

Not your usual zombie series but 5 star nevertheless

This series is really doing a number on me. Horrific, thrilling, emotional and heartbreaking. I was hot and cold with Jared as I thought he was unlikeable but no more. He’s my favourite anti hero. However I’m still hoping what he did at the end was subterfuge but will just have to deal with it if it’s not. So looking forward to the final book. Also praying for the author. So sorry to hear about her health issues.

OMG ! WOW ! Ms Lecter has done it again. Never one to disappoint, Sedition is another tense and extremely mind blowing story in the World of Anthrax series. More surprises with lots of action and plenty of gore to keep us well and truly riveted in the exploits of Callie and Jared. Definitely looking forward to more. Brilliant !

Sedition.

Why is it that every book I read by this amazing author blows me away, every one is better than the last one.
If you want just zombies and gore, go read someone else.
This book is deep, with a storyline that just does not stop.
I won’t read another book for a while I have to finish digestion this one first.

The wait was worth it

I love the series and I am so happy that A.L. is doing better. Her gift is taking overdone plots and making them fresh. Who would of thought that a serial killer and an almost zombie such a likable couple.

Goey times post apocalypse.

Graphic cannibalism, death and dismemberment, but isn't that what we expect from dear author? Characters created treated with continuity throughout the series. Fun read to keep you up at night.

Oh my goodness, how, how, can things keep getting worse for Callie? Very edge of your seat reading, I have blitzed through the first six books in a short period, can’t wait for book seven now!

Great read.

Very different from most of my apocalypse collection. Morality and survival butt heads in this series. Great character and situation development
