It must be fate. The day Kasim and Sneaux parted ways, was the last day they thought they’d ever run into each other again. Sneaux couldn’t get rid of Kasim if she wanted to. They would forever be tied to one another. When Kasim laid eyes on Sneaux again in his neck of the woods, the feelings for her he had buried were dug up and he didn’t know what to do with it. Doing what he does best, he invited himself into her house…back into her life and heart…not knowing what awaited him when he did.
Hmmmmm…… maybe we should have left well enough alone with this one. Although the ending of the first book left us longing, I think we would have been good with that. 🤷🏾♀️ Everything moved so damn fast, that we didn’t really get an opportunity to feel and experience the connection between Sneaux and Kasim this go round. Then with Shyanne showing her whole ass, I was quickly annoyed, and over it! 😤
Wowwwwwwww this book is not what I expected as a conclusion to such a great start. Feels like it was rushed and not fully developed. Very disappointing
You can tell K Nicole felt pressured to bring us the next part to these two story. The first part was so good & we as her readers were eager for more. However I could’ve waited. This seems rushed & forced. The relationship felt disconnected and not as much chemistry as the first book. I could be being critical but I know somebody will feel me. It just needed more. It was a bit lackluster 🤷🏽♀️
It almost felt like these weren't the same characters from the first book. I didn't feel any chemistry between them at all. I was so disappointed with the way the first book ended because I loved the characters so much and really wanted them to get their HEA, but this wasn't exactly what I hoped for.
That was the conclusion I was looking for!! 4 stars because some of the stuff they was doing made me roll my eyes but I do love Sneaux and Kasim so I won’t be too hard on them 🤣🤎
Really and truly, this time around, I don't think we can call him a bully. I say this because Sneaux rolled into Kasim's heart without a warning. Oh, I'm sorry, I meant to say- Kasim caught feelings when he spent his holiday in Sneaux's home, and he left there smitten. Sneaux's once uninvited guest came into her life and burrowed into her heart. The outcome at the end of the story was less bullied.
This was a short, cute series. Definitely saw the plot coming from the last book though. Also, some grammar errors. But overall, it was decent and I enjoyed it.
That’s a conclusion. Kasim was still a bully about his Sneaux. I loved seeing how he stepped up immediately and went after Sneaux hard. Now Sneaux was a bit nerve wracking and slow, but she was pregnant and cautious. That baby mama was a trip. Whitley had me laughing at her wild self.🖤
This book was good. It was very much interesting to me.
I like how their story ended. I was actually rooting for them. I like how he got to see the baby being delivered and the slight gender reveal. I wanted yo see Jr interact with his little sister though and how he was around Sneaux and if she accepted being a stepmother.
😔 It really hurts my heart to even say that but I really was disappointed. I am a HUGE fan of K. Nicole and I read everything she releases so I don’t doubt her skills or the 🔥 her pen brings but this sequel missed the mark and I know it’s only because she let y’all rush her lol. I’m a patient fan. Im ok with a slow burn. I’d rather wait and receive the best than to get a rushed book. The connections and feels we loved so much from the first book was missing and instead of seeing the growth of this relationship it just felt disconnected . Welp 🤷🏽♀️ I’m still a fan tho , next time tell them folks to relax and let you be great lol
This was a nice opposites attract love story. It picked up a little where it left off at in the Christmas Bully book and I found it interesting how the roles reversed a little with who the "bully" was. It was nice to see a softer side to Kasim and how he showed so much care and concern for her when he found out she was pregnant and wanted to be present the whole time. I also thought it was understandable how Sneaux didn't want to take him seriously with wanting to be with her since he told her before that they were in two different worlds and it wouldn't work. The valentine date was so cute too with how he arranged everything for her and all the surprises. I was happy that they were able to get past the situation with his ex so that Sneaux could get the family that she wanted. I enjoyed the book overall and although it wrapped up the story with these two, I felt it was a little rushed and I would be curious to see if Kasim every gives up the street life like he mentioned he wanted to.
Idk if I was feeling him after book 1. I get that he was trying to protect Sneaux from getting caught up in his lifestyle but he walked away a lil too easily for me. But the wayyyy I fell in love with him in this book!!!! That man saw what he wanted & went after it!! He played no games about Sneaux & I loved every minute of it!
I was not even a bit shocked at what came from these two being stuck together during the storm 😂 the most unlikely circumstances led to something great! Sneaux had every right to be cautious dealing with Kasim especially with the way he brushed her off in the first book but he won me over quickly 🥰
Shy was the real definition of DELUSIONAL‼️ Like girl it’s no way you’re really this crazy 😭 unhinged was an UNDERSTATEMENT!!
The end definitely went quickly which the writer explained in the begging that it would. I thoroughly enjoyed this book & will be getting into more from this author!
Ms. K. Nicole, so we meet Kasim and Sneaux again. They had a whirlwind of a ride during the Christmas holidays, so much so a baby was created. It was refreshing to see Kasim step up as a man for Sneaux. His planning for their Valentine's date was on point. He perfected it. He knew what he wanted and for Sneaux to be more than just another baby mama. He planned to settle all the way down with her. Now, speaking of baby Mama, his first one Shy was cra cra. She lived in a delusional state, thinking she and Kasim were still a couple. No matter how many times Kasim told her they were not, she didn't quite get the memo. She eventually faded away in the background. Kasim started to slowly mature into a solid man for Sneaux. He knew that she wouldn't just accept any mess. He became quite consistent and a man of his word. He made sure he took care of her during the pregnancy. Kasim got his wish and prayer answer on the gender of the baby. However, I am wondering if this is the end of these two. Are they getting another installment? I feel like some loose ends need to be tied. Also, although this book was longer than the first installment, I feel like it was a quick read. Some parts seemed quite rushed. I will keep my eyes peeled to see if Kasim and Sneaux grace the literary world again. It would be nice to read about Kasim turning his career around, especially since Sneaux is so successful. He becomes a true family man for his growing family.
*sighs* I stalked her to release this book. Let me preface this review by saying that. I, unabashedly, camped out in her comments and damn near begged for the the release. Kasim had me so deep in my feelings with all his self awareness, passion, and grit.
Needless to say, I was ready for this release. Unfortunately, it fell short. It was missing the spark of its predecessor. Was it terrible? Of course not. K Nicole can write, she’s proven that, but respectfully, it fell shy of what I was expecting. 3.5 stars. I was not expecting it to start off where it did; maybe that contributed to my indifference with this book. Nonetheless, Kasim did STEP and did not fold, his character remained in this book. Sneaux was still bossed up as ever.
If you are just dying to know what becomes of Sneaux and Kasim, read it. Understand that you may be a tad disappointed.
That damn Kasim 😌 The pressure he apply to make Sneaux his was everything okay that man knew what he wanted! This was a cute update to the Christmas story I enjoyed this so much ‼️
There are spoilers so read at your own discretion. First off, The name Sneaux in novel one was ironic and kind of clever. He was stuck in the snow/Sneaux. In this novel or novella it is just dumb.
There were so many moments in the story that made me think that the author didn’t know what she was talking about. Novella 1 & 2 seem like they were written by different people. Novella 2 was like what a sheltered teen would imagine as a good hood romance was but an experienced adult would see this as a story of a toxic leach and a unintelligent female cause Kasim wouldn’t have made it that far with someone brighter.
Sneaux is supposed to be this accomplished business owner with her own luxury house in an upscale neighborhood, luxury car, and upscale business and for the author that success was measured by her social media stats….sigh but whatever I rolled with it. Kasim is supposed to be a big time dope dealer but he was hustling like a foot soldier, bouncing between his BM and mom’s house in the hood, while driving a hoopty that was so bad it made him standout in Sneaux’s neighborhood. We, as readers, are supposed to believe that this accomplished woman was that blinded by body and personality (which didn’t come off that great) that she would overlook all his red flags and be excited about being BM No. 2??? Her bestie/biz partner, who is supposed to be just as successful, is pushing her established friend to stick with the jobless dude who broke into her house, not once but twice, has to hustle in a blizzard, in an unreliable car, and don’t have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of and abused his BM No. 1. That’s who she wants for her friend??? He wasn’t the plug. He wasn’t a distro, he wasn’t even established enough to have his clientele come to him. He was running around serving ppl like a waiter and that’s who Whitley was push on Sneaux???? “With friends like these…..”
I swear when the story got to Valentines and he got dressed in his sharpest suit, and bought her the most sexiest dress to bring her to……….TOP GOLF. I literally was like Ikyl 😂. And this lady who drives a Range Rover and wears gucci scarves to sleep was impressed by that?!?! This Novella was 150 pages and I struggled to read it all. I actually skimmed 150 pages 🤦🏽♀️. This is just some of the awfulness. There is so much more but I digress..,
The way K. Nicole can make you fall in love with a bully needs to be studied.
Hits:
This was a good expansion of Kasim and Sneaux’s story. They make me sick in the best way.
The character banter was hilarious.
The chemistry and connection between Sneaux and Kasim was so cute that it was sickening.
I loved how Kasim didn’t play about Sneaux regardless of their situation. His protection and attentiveness were unmatched.
I loved to see both Kasim and Sneaux fall for each other. Sneaux letting her guard down, and Kasim breaking his shell and being vulnerable. There’s nothing like a hardened man softening for a black woman.
I loved the relationship Sneaux had with her dad and how supportive he was of her. It was refreshing to read.
Misses:
When it came to Kasim’s temper, I didn’t like how those around him enabled his behavior. Neither his family nor Sneaux took it seriously. I was disappointed and surprised that Sneaux didn’t stand her ground with him when it came to this, especially given the predicament she was in. I really wanted to see some character development with Kasim, but it didn’t feel like it was very much.
Overall, I enjoyed this. I hope we get at least one more book of Sneaux and Kasim.
Back again with Sneaux and Kasim. I really loved how kasim loved her. After Kasim says he is not good for her and they never exchange contact information, she sees him a couple of months later as she was pulling out of a restaurant he was going in. However they never acknowledge one another. Kasim later sneaks into her house while she was sleeping to see an ultrasound picture. After learning she is pregnant with his child her begins to involve himself in everything Sneaux until they both begin to fall hard. There is one major problem and her name is Shyanne’s his 6 year old son’s mother. She refuses to stop claiming him and making his life hell! I really enjoyed Sneaux and Kasim’s story. They were both cut from different sides of the cloth but love has no limits!
3.5 I really enjoyed this and finally getting to see their HEA. I liked the pace and how Sneaux was protecting herself. She wasn’t letting them hormones fry her brain lol. But there’s no resisting Kasim for to long. I mostly wished we would have gotten a little bit more of him taking care of her once she started to show. And I would totally be ok with a little catching up story later because it feels like Kasim has a lot of potential.
I really like Sneaux in book 1 but she changed in book 2. She was very fearful and anxious throughout the whole book. Man, she literally ruined the book for me. I liked Kasim. I’m glad that he took charge. It was an okay read.
This was a cute follow up to the first book. Sneaux and Kasim are such a cute couple and kept me laughing just as much as the first one. This is one of those was that hard to put down.
2.5 I dont know what it was but this book was just eh to me maybe it was her attitude. I was very rushed at the ending I felt like it could’ve flowed more.
No one likes to read and keep on reading about weak, insecure, wanna be boss lady! I liked the first book than had to read and drag on from chapter to chapter with this nonsense. I didn't even finish it, I was so done! Until you change your female character roles to more stronger one than I'll take a break from your books.
