This was cute quick and steamy. It is an insta love story so expect fast romance. It’s just enough to keep you interested and has a cute epilogue at the end that wraps everything up nicely.

the story was okay but missing something

The two didn’t technically get stuck with one another, though they did have reason to take shelter. The MMC’s 180 from dedicated bachelor with commitment issues to being smitten shoulda given the FMC whiplash. Her character-development, though, was spot on.

This is book one of the Rosewood ridge Mavericks and Sierra has been hired to oversee the contractor working on the inside of the new retreat centre in Rosewood Ridge, Tennessee. Her sleep is broken just after six am, by loud noises that almost sound like a gun going off, on what should be her first day at this new job. Just starting a lot earlier and noisier than expected! The man that woke her is Travis and he didn’t realise there was anyone in the building. He’s just trying to get as much done as he can, whilst he waits for more crew to join him. Sierra isn’t exactly dressed for meeting people and disappears back into the room she was using. When she comes by later and mentions lunch, he takes it that she wants to go to lunch with him, not exactly what she actually meant, but at least he can get to know her a bit more! He opens his truck door for her and she replies that he doesn’t have to and that this can only be a professional thing between them, nothing more. She doesn’t sound too sure though and soon she can’t think about anything else but him!

Talking as they eat, she finds out how old he is and that he isn’t exactly the relationship type, whilst she hasn’t lost her v-card yet and thought an older more experienced man like him would be ideal. A sudden weather warning hits and they have to hole up in the bare room where they sat to eat their pizza, with Travis offering to throw his body on top of hers to protect her. Feeling emboldened, she asks him why he doesn’t do that, like now! Only after giving her an orgasm, does it become clear she has never had one and he checks if she is okay for him to continue and be her first. Only problem is that after he finishes, he just gets up, dresses and leaves! Travis was worried he was getting too serious, too quickly, but the next day she is giving him the cold shoulder and he thinks she obviously doesn’t feel the same way as him. What a pair of idiots! Thankfully, he soon explains what he wants from her and how perfect he thought his life had been before she came into his life, but now he can’t live without her. A lovely epilogue to this short story, showing what happens next with them and their HEA ending.

This was the first official book in the Rosewood Ridge Mavericks series of instalove mountain man books and is centered around Travis & Sierra. I really enjoyed reading their story and look forward to reading more about Montana in the next book Tangling with the Mountain Man.

4.5 ⭐s Great start to a new series

Travis is the contractor hired to build the Rosewood Ridge Retreat Center. He had his heart broken once, and he plans to never have it happen again. Before he dates any woman, he always tells her that he wants zero commitment of any sort. Women agree to this until they're sure they're "the one" for him and want more in the relationship. That's when he says, "Goodby." 

Sierra was hired by the owner, Mrs. Gray, to take care of the day-to-day business at the worksite. She's thirteen years younger than Travis and has zero experience with men. However, she does hope that she'll meet someone to marry and perhaps even start a family. 

They're both attracted to each other, but their goals keep them apart. Travis suffers much anguish trying to balance how much he wants Sierra versus his past holding him back. 

There's a bonus chapter available, and I recommend getting it. It explains more about Travis' thoughts and feelings.

I am so excited that there is a new Mountain Man series from the author! Sierra is starting a new job as manager of a new retreat center in a new town and Travis is the contractor working on building the retreat center. They just barely manage to keep things strictly professional for a few days until they give in to their sizzling attraction to each other. As with many of the author's stories, I love how the characters literally come together, and how they navigate the situationships and new relationships together. Many of the stories involve the characters having to face their insecurities, and being honest and open with each other, even if it means being left open to vulnerability, because that is really what the best relationships are based on.

This was a short and very sexy story and I can't wait to read more of these stories in the series!!.

Ms. Hart has written another sweet, hot mountain man series and, so far it’s every bit as good as her others. This is book one of the new Rosewood Ridge Mavericks and it’s based on a building contractor that had relocated to take advantage of the housing boom that had taken place, presumably due to all the previous mountain men meeting their One and settling down, and the young woman employed to work in hospitality but currently overseeing construction of the Rosewood Ridge Retreat Center.

The book is only around 40 pages but it, like all her others, is perfectly sized for when you need a bit of romance but don’t have time to devote to a longer read. You’ll still get everything you get from the longer books (except for angst) in only a fraction of the time and STILL get done what you have to do. 5 super sweet ’n steamy stars!.

This is a new dive into Rosewood Ridge!! It's got a small town feel, but big things heading their way. It might be a insta-love story, but boy does it pack a punch.

Travis is a somewhat jaded workaholic who finds solace in his work. Sierra has just been hired to oversee the build of a new resort. It just so happens Travis is working solo that week, and really gives the two a chance to get to know each other.

Within days their attraction reaches a fever pitch you can't help but flip the pages faster. Sierra might have no experience, but she just knows Travis is the one for her. Self proclaimed celibate (read to find out what THA'TS about!) finds himself thinking and daydreaming about Sierra in ways he didn't even think was possible anymore.

it meets your need for insta-love, fire induced smexy scenes, and that bit of hope we all wanna find that one!.

This was a quick and easy book but very enjoyable and I loved how these two had to learn to compromise in order to have a future together and this is Sierra and Travis story of opposites attack. Travis is the contractor working on the New Retreat resort and it’s almost done but when he meets Sierra he is very interested in her but knows that nothing can come from it because he doesn’t do relationships and he knows she is that kind of girl. Sierra has just landed a new job and until the retreat opens she is there to oversee the construction being done and meeting the grumpy and sexy Travis she is instantly attracted to but he seems like he’s not into relationships and this not what she wants because she is all in kind of girl that wants it all. Great start with book 1.

The cutest meet cute! I loved the start of this series! The setting was different but in a good way. Travis is a gentle, grumpy guy but it's obvious that he has so much love to give. He just needed to get out of his own way. As a woman who's done her fair share of running, I could've told him that its inevitable lol. You definitely won't get far when you're running from love. Sierra was awesome. I saw myself in her character lol I took that "step" at the same age and actually had a very similar experience afterwards. I loved how fierce she was. She both went after what she wanted while going with the flow and keeping her hand held close. All in all, I loved this one. It was adorable, passionate and unpredictable. As always, I definitely recommend this read by Lilah 💜

Short, sexy and sweet - Stuck with the Mountain Man is a novelette by Lilah Hart, the first book in the new series of novelettes, Rosewood Ridge Mavericks.

Sierra has recently been hired to work for the Rosewood Ridge Retreat, and she gets an abrupt introduction early one morning with Travis, a construction worker who is working on the new buildings at the retreat.

If you're familiar with the Hart's previous series or the mountain man genre in general you'll know what to expect. One hot muscle-bound mountain man in his mid thirties and a sweet and sassy woman in her early twenties. The attraction is explosive and the connection is instant.

Sierra was starred awake by banging g. She as t to see what all the banging was about when she saw the back of this guy but when he turned around he was just so handsome. Then she found out that Travis was part of the construction crew.
One day while working they had to seek shelter as the weather report a tornado warning g was being issued. Retreating to the back office. Once the door closed , things took a turn for better. Sierra wanted him and she is all he thought about. S aged to be in a relationship he ran out of the roo.. The next he confessed he was scared but Sierra understood so from that day offered things were going great. Eventually they got married and they had two kids and a happy life.

Stuck with the Mountain Man was a short story perfect for a lunch break. The story centers around Sierra and Travis. Sierra is a 23-year-old virgin college graduate that was hired as a project manager where Travis works. Travis is a 36-year-old building contractor and is not a relationship kind of guy. Everything changes when they meet because there is an instant emotional reaction between them. The story follows them as they work toward a HEA. Don’t forget a cold glass of water to help cool the spice.

This is book one of a new series by Lilah Hart and centers around the building of and eventually the running of a retreat center in Rosewood Ridge, a small town in TN. I look forward to reading more books in the series.

SIERRA is starting a new job keeping an eye on the construction crews in Rosewood Ridge, Tennessee. She is sound asleep when banging wakes her up. She goes out to find a shirtless man using a nail gun.
TRAVIS is shocked when he turns around to find a gorgeous woman standing there. He's also shocked that he has a reaction to her.
They go lunch and have a real good discussion. She finds he is celibate, his choice. She thinks he'd be great for her first.
How in the world will two disparate individuals make a relationship work? Do they even want to have a relationship?
A cute opening story if this is going to be a series. I can't wait for more!!!.

Oooh, I'm so glad Hart has a new series started. Rosewood Ridge is sure to have some gorgeous bulked up men who are bound to find just the right women - just wait. Anyway, on to Travis & Sierra. These two are quite a couple of walking contradictions. Travis, totally dedicated to his work and avoiding relationships like the plague, and Sierra just starting out supervising the completion of the new center in town.

As usual, the descriptions are fun and engaging, and the banter is rather hunerous at times. There is alot of inner dialog so readers get to understand the character's actions abd motivations. It made it easy to root for these two to get over themselves and figure out their connection.

Sierra is our beautiful blonde, twenty three year old, innocent MFC. She’s the first hire to work at the Rosewood Ridge Retreat Center.
The center is being built by Zack and Ashlynn Gray. It was to be a retreat center for Alzheimer patients
Travis is our big, muscled and gorgeous thirty six year old MMC. His loud construction work wakes Sierra up as she’s sleeping on site.
She confronts him and my oh my! The attraction is strong! On both their sides.
A fairly short read with the main characters falling instantly in love.

Sierra will be helping her friend operate her retreat center once it's built. She's chosen to live in the one guest room that's finished and make sure construction proceeds smoothly and on time. Travis is the builder who's getting the job done. He gets to the site early and works hard each day to accomplish as much as possible. They meet when Sierra comes to see what's making so much racket so early in the day. Read the book to find out what happens as they get to know each other better. It's a sweet and spicy mountain man short where the tornado isn't the only storm going on. You'll love it!.

I loved Stuck with the Mountain Man: An Age Gap Forced Proximity Romance Book 1 of Rosewood Ridge Mavericks. Travis never planned on being in a relationship or having kids, marriage wasn’t for him. Sierra is attracted to Travis but can she have a one time thing? With no experience she’s not sure. When they give into their attraction it feels different but Travis panics and runs. What is Sierra to think? I loved the storyline and the characters. It was a short and sweet story. It shows when you find the right person it changes your perspective. I would definitely recommend this book.

Travis is a contractor who has been hired for a project in Rosewood Ridge. Because of a bad relationship, he has decided not to risk love again. He wants no commitment and if a woman can’t agree to that, he walks away. But Sierra was hired to keep an eye on the work at the site. Both she and Travis become very attracted to each other. Will he insist on his “no commitment” rule with the young woman, Sierra, who will definitely want marriage and children eventually? Will he let his past scare him away from a woman he could easily love? Or will he take a chance that they just may have a beautiful future ahead of them if he opens his heart to her?

Stuck with the Mountain Man is stormy, steamy goodness! Travis and Sierra are unexpectedly thrown into each other’s orbit, and the sparks between them ignite instantly. I love how Travis fights himself and his desires, and it’s too funny how Sierra chooses to respond to him. This is the first official book in the Rosewood Ridge series—the prequel with Ashlynn and Zack, called Feuding with the Mountain Man, sets the stage beautifully for Travis and Sierra to meet—and so far I’m loving it. I’d love to see a bit more character development as the series progresses through the various couples.

This was an enjoyable quick read. Sierra just moved and started a new job. She would be over seeing construction at a new resort being built.
Travis was the contractor working on the project. There was instant attraction between these two but Travis made it clear he didn’t do relationships and Sierra knew she was a relationship only type of girl.
Could anything happen between these two when they were so opposite?
Travis was so conflicted with his feelings for Sierra. It was great to see how his character developed and how he came to his conclusion on how he felt about her.

This is Book 1 of Rosewood Ridge Mavericks starring Sierra and Travis. This one had me mad at Travis he gets what he wants but because of how Sierra handles his reaction after he gets all whiny and upset. I wanted to reach into the pages and smack the man for his behavior. But in the end they make an adorable couple so I guess a little whiny is okay. But I think the next book should have the woman harder to win over a little more.

She is on his mind constantly. Sierra feels exactly the same way. It takes one storm brewing outside to cause another to start sweeping both Travis and Sierra along with it on the inside!

Sierra was hired by the very pregnant Mrs. Gray, who is the owner of the Rosewood Ridge Retreat Center, and Sierra is the first employee. Travis is the construction head working on the building. Travis is older than Sierra who has recently graduated in hospitality. He finds her beautiful and hot. Sierra finds him hot too. But, neither acts on it until an Act of God. Lol. Then Travis does something really stupid that upsets Sierra. So the rest of the book is fixing that and admitting their feelings. We get to meet another employee and I enjoyed the story and how they fell in love and the ending was great. I just wish it was longer.

Travis and Sierra. Her first day on the job to keep an eye on the construction crew she awakend at dark 6:22 by banging...WTH...please dont let the front of him match the back. Nope not my luck. Im first employee to start and staying in here till rooms finished and do you always start this early..He said hes the only one of his crew working this week, Ok I need coffe he said I could ue one too thank black...I just stared. Their story is so cute and chotic and full of chemistry. Loved it.

This was a really good short story, Sierra is on her first day of a new job when she bumps into Travis, a contractor working on the retreat centre. She is there to get the place up and running when the building work is complete. Travis is the grumpy guy that believes that he is better off alone and doesn't need a woman to be happy. But when sparks fly between them, can they remain strictly professional and will they end up together in the end? Good little story x.
