I had such high hopes for this book. Sadly I was greatly disappointed. The writing feels like it was written by a teenage girl who stole her mother's Harlequin's. It's not a smooth read. The story line itself had promise, but fell flat because of the writing.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The only thing that kept me from giving full 5 stars was the back tracking but it is beyond understandable I'm certain situations. Many people love getting both points of view in different situations, I'm just not that person. With that being said, that is the only thing I have to complain about. Everything else just kept giving. The plot, the characters, the prophecy. So many intriguing facts that I'm not going to speak on since I don't want to give anything away. If you like demigods and gods and smut and prophecies, Then you won't regret reading this book!

I loved this book. The plot and smut were soo good. It kept me interested from the first page. The book was very fast paced. If you love spicy, smutty, fantasy/greek gods, then I really suggest reading this book😍

Prince of Shadows was a thrilling and spicy ride. This novel is Percy Jackson for adults. You ever wonder what happens to the adult demigods, what happens once they are no longer under the thumb of their divine parents?
Well, they are still under their parents' thumbs, but they can do what they want right under their noses. Zane, Thea, Nico, and Ryder are the children of some powerful ancient Greek Gods, yet they are just young adults who want to enjoy their lives. Instead, they have been locked in a radius around the city of New Greece.
When a prophecy entangles the four into a web of lies and deceit, the only ones they can depend on are each other.
Plenty of spice as these demigods are still gods and act as their predecessors and enjoy the carnal acts of the flesh. For Thea she gets to enjoy the godly depravity of the sons of the big three.
Can these four find a balance within their relationship in time to save the world from the rising darkness? Find out for yourself, read Prince of Shadows.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! It is my favorite book so far of this year. With action and romance and spice and mystery. Its just amazing.I couldn’t put this book down. Its definitely a book for Adults.I don’t recommend this book for people under the age of 18.It definitely gives me fifty shades of grey vibes but with Greek gods and Greek mythology.I strongly recommend this book.

Loved the plot! Smut was good too. Def wish there was more of that. It backtracked a lot which I wasn’t a huge fan of. But I loved the story and characters!

First off I want to say how grateful I am for having a chance to read this book. I absolutely loved the story line and the characters. I’m a fan of Greek mythology, so i absolutely loved the idea of a book based more on the demigods! There are of course mentions of the gods throughout the book, but this story mainly follows the sons of Zeus, Hades, Poseidon and the daughter of Athena. I also loved the twist right at the end, which left me absolutely hanging on the end of my chair! Cannot wait for book two to come out. So If you love why choose, banter and a LOT of spice this is the book for you!

The book was okay. I give it 2.5 stars and that’s stretching to give them. The plot line was decent enough. However; it felt like I was thrown into a Greek pornographic universe, with the same sex scene set to repeat. I mean I get they are polymorphic and the ways are different but you have to have to have more to your story than that.
Just about every chapter has the main character getting it in with the other three male characters. It’s just annoying, especially with the time frame of them being together. You need to have more background history and develop the relationship of the characters in the story. There are plot holes that have to do with the bands and getting to leave that need to be fixed.
They all have this big quest/prophecy to fulfill and just parts of it are dull. I almost stopped reading this story a time or two due to this reason. Develop the plot more. Honestly, it’s sex, okay hot guys, and maybe go on a short adventure here to get more on this Blackwood character. There should be more on the guy, more background history to build the character up for the villain role he plays. You have four characters all just stating he’s an a-hole or a prick or pompous. Okay, great but why? That needs to be elaborated more.
Furthermore; the amount of times clit, love, and little goddess used is outstanding. You need to find more words to describe Thea. Who is ultimately not really described either. Just Athena’s daughter, and they have an awful relationship as does everyone else with their god parents. I don’t have anymore to share. Good luck with the story, may others be enthralled by it. For me, it was pretty bad and could undergo further development.

✨A little bit of old Greece, new Greece , technology and prophecy.
I loved the idea of this book. I love Greek mythology and I liked how the author incorporated traditional elements with new age technology.
I liked how the main characters differed from their well known God/ Goddess parents and how they want to branch out and do things their own way. Sometimes I felt Thea was a little more childish but maybe that was intended?
The multiple points of view was an interesting take and I really had to remember whose POV I was reading. I liked the indicators of when each POV changed ( capitalized letter of first name with some pretty symbolism).
This was my first mmmf spicy book. The spice was very spicy indeed but was a little repetitive for me. I think I would have preferred more of a slow burn than a just “ let’s get into it”.
I am very interested in more of a back story on each main character. I would definitely read the next book in hopes to gain a better understanding and to see what comes next!
📖this is my first arc review and I am thankful for the opportunity.

An enjoyable story based on Greek mythology.
The story itself focuses on 4 main demigods, who’ve been forced into a level of submission from their Greek god parents. What unfolds is a story of magic, individual powers, destined bonds, a prophecy that needs to be fulfilled and a multifaceted love story built on loyalty, trust, controlling parents and the need to rise and rebel against that enforced control.
This is reverse harem. With spice through the book, occurring both in public and private venues
I received an advanced copy of this book for free and I am leaving this review voluntary.
I really enjoyed this story, my expectations for the plot were almost never correct, which was very very refreshing.
I’m looking foreword to book 2 to see how Thea’s relationship with Zane, Ryder and Nico develops and how where the prophecy leads them.

I haven't really delved too much into Greek mythology before, so this was a really great introduction to this genre for me. It has the perfect balance of plot and spice and the demigods are so possessive, it's freaking hot! And what kept me even more enthralled was the fact that I have a signed hardcover from Gwen herself with the most gorgeous chapter titles and artwork sprinkled in the book. It helped in visualizing the scenes I was reading. Definitely a top-shelf read!

Loved the concept and the story itself! It definitely was different from my usual reads, but in a good way. Other than the fact I dislike ebooks, I loved the book! I can't wait to read the rest!

I love this book. It was exactly what I needed. I love the relationship between the main characters, the spice (chefs kiss). Can not wait until book 2

I thoroughly enjoyed the dual POV of this novel, along with the way the chapters were labeled with letters from each character as they swapped back and forth, very well done. The plot of Greek mythology gods and demigods intrigued and held my attention. You can clearly tell that the authors a lot of time and research into Greek mythology which I appreciated. The plot and characters were well thought out and relatable. With all that being said can we TALK ABOUT THE SPICE 🔥🥵. If you love smut, Greek mythology demigods, and prophesies with some extra spice this is the book for you.

I loved this book, although not until about 80 pages in. The story starts out slow and can be a little confusing if you aren't paying attention to the chapter headers. Once I figured that out, it went much smoother in my head.
Initially, the spicy scenes were hot 🔥🔥🔥 but became somewhat repetitive. Mixing it up in the next book would be amazing!
The Greek mythos parts of this book were well thought out and played. God's have always given me the arrogant vibe when it comes to mortals and demigods, this part of the book did not disappoint.
I am anxiously awaiting the next book as this book ended on a cliffhanger!
Also! I'm hoping we get more demigod action in the new house!!!

Wow. Ok, so I love anything with Greek mythology. I love reading dirty smutty romantasy books. I loved the idea this author has. This is a great why choose fantasy. I have to say, about half way through the book I stared to GRT a little board, it became kind of redundant. And then all.of a sudden I was so.caught off Guard, shit hit the fan, it got intense and then one of the biggest shockers IV ever read in a book came and ended the book. I need the next one. Fully recommend if.you love fantasy, dirty why choose situation and anything with greek.gods and goddesses.

SPECTACULAR! I absolutely loved the 4 main characters and now have some beef with the 4 parents, lol. This book had me on the edge of my seat during every twist and turn. I felt all of the emotions. The suspense and spice are phenomenal. I can not wait for book #2!

I really liked this book! I love Greek mythology so the second I heard what the book was about I knew I had to read it. The book was 🔥 and I loved the characters personalities. I love that the characters were gods and demigods that we know of. Looking forward to the next book.

I first need to mention how I was not expecting this book to go the way it did, based on the book description.
The storyline is rather slow at first with not alot of godlike action or eventful things (which isn't too bad but got me a bit confused to where this story was going to).
I do like how the chapters switch between 2 povs and how beautiful they look. For Thea a T with an owl while for Zane the Z with a tree. Very original.
About the spicy scenes, most of them were a lot alike, which got boring (for me) after a while. So I was kinda disappointed in how repetitive it was. There is one spicy scene that I really enjoyed reading - which is on p 199. Well written!
I'm also a bit disappointed how immature the storyline is told and often not detailed when I was expecting it. I feel like Thea is overreacting when it comes to her powers, like a little child but I can understand if that is her character.
I also found it weird that, since Thea is 24yo and the others even older, that they reacted quiet immature most of the time. Like when something went bad they often just say "Fuck". That is ofcourse just my opinion since I'm not used to reading this type of storytelling.
The description of the scenery or the introductions of new gods or demigods was well done. I enjoyed those and just love to read background stories of people in a book.
SPOILERS:
>>> One really beautiful scene I still remember after finishing the book is that the mortals who committed suicide get a second chance. They get a new life in the under realm as a new person with peace. Very beautiful idea.
Then One funny and also beautiful scene is when Thea goes for her tattoo. I liked how the character of the tattoo artist got introduced. It made me giggle, very well done.
Also lovely we get to see the tattoo. <<<
I do like the plot and the different characters. For some reason I really was into Zane and Nico but not Ryder. I also love Iris's twist in the book and Hecate's character.
I was happy with the action in the last part of the book but eventually we got overwhelmed with it. At some point it was a bit too rushed. The end gave me a lot of questions which does make me crave for the second book.
Eventho it wasn't one of my favourites to read I still finished it quickly because it was an easy read and passed its flaws very enjoyable to read. At the end, thinking of the entire story/plot, it's actually a nice concept.
Conclusion after finishing: I was only a tad disappointed, mostly because of the storytelling that felt a bit too immature at times but I am still glad I read it and I did enjoy it! Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to finish it in 2 days!
Thankyou for this book!

This was not what I anticipated, and I was pleasantly surprised! Immoral Demigods and a Demigoddess thrown together by fate. Action packed and full of mysterious events, twists and turns in the plot, and oh my, the steamy scenes are incredibly hot!! Not to forget a few villains and arrogant divine beings.
This was definitely not a slow burn and does not keep you waiting for the why choose party to begin. I loved the characters, the world building, and the Greek Mythology. I found the story to hold true to the traits of the Greek Gods and Goddess' personalities from most literature I have read on their myths. It was written in a way that was easy to read yet captivating. Allowing me to feel as if I was part of the story as it unfolded. I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy Greek lore with a lot of heat between the pages.

I don’t read a lot in the genre, but the gods and demigods storyline intrigued me. So glad I gave the book a chance because I loved it and can’t wait for the rest of the series. Love the way the characters are being developed and they seem almost like “real” people so often. The two character POV is also extremely well done. I can clearly tell which character’s POV it is, something that isn’t usually that easy to do for me. The authors have clearly done their research and I enjoy that they’re not just putting in random people, claiming they’re gods.
Overall very well written and I can’t wait to read more.

I picked this up because I love Greek mythology. Gods, demigods, drama, power games… I’m the target audience.
Still couldn’t do it.
The writing is bad. Not “not my taste” bad, but awkward, childish, and cringey. It reads like a teenager trying to write spicy scenes without understanding how people talk, think, or feel. Instead of being intense or seductive, it’s embarrassing and often boring.
The story itself isn’t interesting enough to survive the writing. Characters feel flat, dialogue sounds fake, and nothing really lands. I kept waiting for it to get better, and it never did.
I DNF’d. Not because I’m picky, but because it’s genuinely unreadable.

This was an excellent book! It took me 2 days to read. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a little of it all. The plot kept me reading and it was face paced and had a little bit of smut, spice, fantasy, and Greek Gods. The dual point of view was great, it was very well written and made it easy to keep up. Without giving too much away, I think some of the storyline felt YA, but with the character relationship building and humor, it lends more 18+ in my opinion. You must read this book, you will love it!

Loved this book! Took me less than three days to read, and I could not put it down. Without giving too much away, if you love why choose, great banter, humor, Greek mythos and of course SPICE, this is the perfect book for you. The character dynamics and storyline had me turning pages so fast! The character relationship building was wonderful and had many references to Greek Myths with a modern spin. Can't wait for the next book!
