Fans of the McIntyre Security Bodyguard Series will love this follow-up to Imperfect, Jamie and Molly's heartwarming story (book 5 in the series). Blind, former Navy SEAL Jamie McIntyre is finally getting what he's wanted for a long time, and that's to get his girlfriend, Molly, to walk down the aisle with him. But that's not the only thing he wants. Molly and Jamie both want to start a family, but it's not working out the way they'd hoped. And then the unexpected happens, bringing them closer to their dream than they ever dared hope. Will they get their dream come true happy ending? This book has all the laughter, tears, and lots of joy.
I write about alpha protectors who fall in love hard and unconditionally, through the good and the bad. My characters are strong, sexy, and slightly damaged... because no one is perfect. All of my novels have happy-ever-after endings. What else would you expect from a die-hard romantic? I'm the author of the McIntyre Security Bodyguard Series of contemporary romance novels.
I live in Ohio with my daughter and more than a few dogs and cats. When I'm not writing, I'm reading romance novels and watching movies with happy endings. I'd love to hear from you! You can e-mail me at aprilwilsonwrites@outlook.com. Or, visit my website: aprilwilsonauthor.com.
I will absolutely always show up for any book in the McIntyre universe. It is one of my most favorite enduring series and I’m a HUGE fan. This novella brings us back to Jamie and Molly.
Jamie McIntyre is the former Navy Seal, who was blinded in combat, and Molly is his fiancée and breast cancer survivor. Their wedding is approaching and they’ve been desperate to have a baby; however, Molly’s past medical issues are making it difficult for them to conceive.
While I love both Jamie and Molly, part of their appeal was that they were survivors. In their first book, they had to contend with Molly’s feelings of inadequacy since she didn’t have reconstructive surgery, and Jamie proving he can be just as capable as a seeing partner. I was hoping checking in with them would find them thriving, not once again struggling with something beyond their control.
Since this a novella, things have to move pretty fast but a wedding, a surprise adoption, and then a surprise pregnancy just seemed super rushed and too convenient, rather than serendipitous.
Overall I was happy that they got the family they wanted, but I would’ve been happy for them if they were satisfied with the adoption or a surprise baby. Both just felt too cheesy. However, it’s a McIntyre book and I will love them all no matter what.
3.5/5.

Jamie has been one of my favorite characters in this series since he was first introduced, and of course Molly is the perfect partner for him. I love the determination and positive outlook on life that Jamie has, as it is also a huge part of the man he is at his core. Jamie and Molly are a fantastic couple, and I absolutely love that they finally got a beautiful ending that they both truly deserve. It's not a story to be missed! I hope that there will be many more stories in this series in the near future! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.
Another brilliant instalment in this series from April Wilson.
Jamie and Molly have been through a lot to get this point in their lives. Jamie's blindness during active service, and Molly's cancer recovery, all they want is each other, and their own family.
Can Jamie and Molly have it all, each other, a family, a HEA?
As well as mentions of the rest of the family/extended family this instalment doesn't dissapoint.
Congratultions on another fantastic read April Wilson. Keep them coming!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love April Wilson’s stories! They are full of love, family, and connections. Jamie and Molly have a wonderful relationship that neither takes for granted. The miracle of being able to have a child doesn’t happen for every couple and it’s heartbreaking when Molly faces that possibility. Jamie is so supportive even though he’s disappointed, but they soothe each other through their beautiful lovemaking. This is short, but so sweetly written with lots of hope and happiness! A beautiful ending for a deserving couple.
I had just finished abook, one of along series and looking for something different when I found ' Baby makes 3'. Just what I needed. The story of Mollie and Jamie is one of my favourites. They are such a lovely couple deserving of a HEA. You write so sensitively about quite difficult episodesand thanks to your prologue now we know why. I'm so pleased you recovered from your own illness so that you could write these stories for us and I give thanks that I recovered from mine to be able to read them. Love and best wishes.
I first read Jamie and Molly's story some years ago, and they have been the catalyst for all the AW books I've read since. To finally see them get a total HEA is such a blessing. Well done, Ms. Wilson! Two components added to my connection to Molly, besides the breast cancer. One, going into menopause at age 42, (chemo caused my girl organs to be all messed up, subsequent complete hysterectomy, and thus full on menopause, yay) and secondly, my paternal Grandma's name was Hazel. April has a way of making her stories very personal to the reader!
What a great update to Jamie & Molly's story that was originally told in the book, "Imperfect". I couldn't put this book down. It had just the right amount of romance with a little bit of suspense and a touch of Navy Seal action that equals a great book with a satisfying HEA. Although as in all great books by April Wilson, it keeps you hungering for more. 😉
April Wilson never fails to deliver an absolutely amazing book. Jamie and Molly’s story will warm your heart I waited until the weekend to read it because I wanted to enjoy every page without interruption. April is a gifted writer. It’s difficult to believe that the McIntyre’s are not a real life family because April’s writing brings them to life for her devoted readers. I can’t wait to read her next book!
Short and sweet. I love Jamie so enjoyed this one.
At 85 pages it’s a short novella but i loved that Jamie and Molly finally get their happy ending. I liked the fact that Molly didn’t fall pregnant straight away as Beth just seems to fall every tine she has sex with Shane. It’s really not realistic. Molly is written very realistically as she suffers the heartbreak of not being able to fall pregnant every month. At times I cried with her.
This year holds new adventures for this couple. The surprises continue as the wedding gets closer. They start planning for their future family, and find their new home, deal with fertility challenges, as their lives move forward even faster. Share their happiness as things move forward as unexpected events occur. I recommend reading this heartwarming story.
Molly and Jamie stole my heart with their story and each time they were mentioned I felt for them with their concerns and hopes. This story answered all those concerns and dreams and did it in a perfectly emotional, sweet, and poignant manner. I loved the family support and hearing more about the family subdivision. I did miss scenes with Cooper and Sam, but I loved seeing Bridget, Lia, Shane, and the kids support and love on this couple
Ten Stars!!!!!!! Jamie and Molly are so special, they show us that life throws crap at you but you don't have to give into it. They are a power couple in their own right. So glad they got their HEA. Bonus little snipe of Mac And Erin and what might be in their future.
When a military member is injured, their life is never the same. Finding love for Jamie healed his soul and for Molly her heart. Infertility is never easy and for those with past struggles it’s worse. Then fate showed up and their life became a family circle. You will shed a tear, just as Molly and Jamie did.
I didn’t read their previous book but I could still follow along very well. From what I can tell Jamie and Molly are both survivors who are madly in love with each other. I really like the fact that they both embrace her mastectomies and the attraction is very much there.
First I'm invested in this series, you don't get to book 16 without falling into this family - Jamie and Molly just added icing on the icing! Only issue I read it so quickly and I'm not sure what's next but Ms Wilson will come up with something amazing! Strongly suggest reading the whole series (more than once! It's the good) enjoy
I absolutely loved reading Jamie and Molly getting glitter on their HEA. I always enjoy catching up with the McIntyre family and seeing what everyone is up to. Jamie is my favorite of Shane’s brothers. I am so happy our badass Seal finally got his ring on Molly and they grew their family. I can’t wait to see what happens next with the McIntyre family.
I have read most of the series. Each one is a great story. Having Molly and Jamie become parents makes this book special. Jamie and Molly each over came difficulties. Overcoming them made the bond between them strong. Having Molly winding up pregnant makes a perfect ending.
I've been waiting for this book and it did not disappoint. I love how Jamie sets out to always be better, but hearing his words on how he won't see this and that, tugged at my heart and he showed his vulnerability but also he strength of character. Molly deserved her very happy ending😉😉. Thanks April Wilson you've done it again. Xx
Cute but cliché story. I enjoy this series, though I wish the author’s writing wasn’t so cut and dry describing so much. Would like to see more flow to the writing. Molly and Jamie are a cute couple. As I was reading, I kept hoping the ending wouldn’t be what it was. No such luck, so it took it down a star for me.
I just finish all 16 I’m so sad it’s over I was really hoping Lia and Joah would of had a book with her having a baby but it ended perfect every story touch my heart Erin and Mack’s book was so sad but of course was a happy ending now I will continue with the rest of the McIntyre family
Wow. Just wow. What a great, sweet, amazing book. I was in love with it from the first paragraph. This couple is amazing. You find yourself rooting for them through the books entirety. Waiting (not so) patiently until the next installment!! Great job April!
This story goes back to Molly and Jamie as they try to expand their family. Their love for each other comes across every page. It will give you all the feels!
Oh my I loved this book yet again, Jamie & Molly are so cute, I love the HEA you gave them it’s a great end to there Story even though they’ll be in the other stories.. it was just a great read thanks April, i need a McIntyre family for myself
What a sweet beautiful ending to Molly and Jamie's story. The characters just come to life and it feels as if you are right there living the story with them. As always April does not disappoint
If you love April Wilson, this gives you all the feels. Love the family vibes happening and find out who is engaged. Hope that is not a spoiler. You need to buy anything April writes. Love how she interacts with her readers
OMG! All the feels. Jamie and Molly were my favorites. To show how you can overcome disabilities and other obstacles with such grace and understanding was truly a p!easure to read. 😀
I love the Jamie and Molly story line , the depth of characters , and how I get involved in there life , they face the reality of life with Grace , but have there happy beginning , cannot wait for more stories
This is a sweet heartfelt story with a totally loveable couple in Jaime and Molly their journey has had many bumps but their love for one another stays strong and unwavering and everything they have worked for is about to be achieved.
Jamie and Molly have both had many obstacles to overcome come from her breast cancer and his blindness. They have navigated through many things with their love for one another leading the way for them. This is the icing on the cake of their story.
