The most well written Utah history books I have read. It is not just a history on the state within current boundaries. The book covers the *regions* history since the Spanish. Detailed enough to get the big picture, but not overly focused on a certain time period.

This book is a must for 4th grade teachers. Everything you could ever question about Utah is in here. I used this book a great deal when I was writing my own novel of Utah. It is also full of historical prints, the evolution of our culture, and so on.

It's out of print, however. I managed to find it through Zion's Book Store quite a few years back.
