Reeling from the death of their father, Moonie, and Riggs Hooper have a lot of things to figure out. After the funeral and all the medical bills, Sullivan Hooper hadn’t left much in the way of inheritance unless you counted all the debt and selling the only home they’ve ever known looked like the only way to escape it. Late one night, Moonie and her friend Ophelia came across a little shoebox with a couple of photos that made Moonie’s eyes glisten with fascination. Her father had all but wiped the memory of their mother from their home, but he had forgotten about those two little pictures. Underneath it, tri-folded and yellowing, sat the deed to another property that neither Moonie nor her brother could remember.
Cabin 71 on Eaden Ridge was a massive three-story mansion deep in the resort town of Grizzly Cove. Moonie couldn’t fathom why her father hid it from them, but now she was armed with new hope and a plan to sell the property as soon as they took a peek inside. Sometimes, stories are hidden for a reason, and Eaden Ridge had a doozy. As Sullivan’s past unfolds, Moonie and Riggs are torn by a heavy question. Forget about your past, your family, and who your father really was, or possibly die uncovering the nasty truth.

I really enjoyed this story! Moonie and Riggs discovering that their dad owned a secret cabin really piqued my interest! Why didn't he ever tell them about it? Turns out that the cabin actually harbors dark secrets from the past. And when the truth is finally revealed, I never saw that coming! I never anticipated just what kind of dark secret lies within the walls of the cabin as well as the town it is in. Fans of cryptid stories would likely enjoy this one. It was spooky and surprising!
