Fires and flames of two women!
The story of the book is no doubt dealing with a sensitive topic and has been handled with care. Somewhere along the lines the experiences and the narrative of every character became repetitive in the book.

I feel Nyra and Kittu together got a lot less scope in the book. The story is majorly about them and this one of the main reasons I picked up the book.
I read too much about the husbands. Where they reach ultimately is explained in the few chapters in the beginning. Both the husbands were not worthy of the space they got. Kittu and Nyra in their marital lives and on their own were beautiful, extraordinary and realistic.The character sketches were done nicely and this book can be enjoyed if you like character driven plots.

The author has done remarkably well in story telling and penning down the character's inner turmoil which makes the readers empathise with their struggles and triumphs. The book beautifully covers sensitive topics like abuse, infidelity, and societal norms with sensitivity and depth.
The portrayal of Nyra's abusive marriage and her eventual realisation of self-worth highlights the cyclical nature of abuse and the challenges survivors face in breaking free from toxic relationships. While, Kittu's reflection on her failed marriage and her decision to prioritise her own happiness presents the complexities of marital bond and personal fulfillment.
The book provides an evocative outlook on gender roles and societal expectations, particularly through the characters of Chaitali and Rishabh. Nyra, being a homemaker leading a happy life and kittu is a working women with succesful career. Their lives take a u-turn, when nyra becomes alcholic and kittu's husband sid starting ruining her life.
Moreover, unexpected entry of sid into Nyra's life shakes up the entire dynamics of their relationships. The storyline is well-conceptualised and poetray's some strong themes of women-empowerment, sex education and intricacies of human relationships in current scenerio. Another standout feature of this novel is protagonists in their forties having a sense of maturity and diverse perspective about life.
The narration is well-paced, if we ignore few places where it felt little over-stretched. The depiction of characters and their relationships with each other will blow your mind as they form a sense of inter-relation with your thoughts.

•Are you my twinflame" by Neha Sharma is a lovely book with an outstanding concept which will connect with each of it's reader beautifully. It is based on fictional genre. The story revolves around the four main characters namely; Nyra, Kritika, Akash and Siddharth.
•The book focuses on two women in their forties. Nyra is married to Akash, and she is a homemaker. However, Kittu is a working woman, and she is living her dream life. Then as the story rolled out, a distant character Siddharth was introduced. With him, a lot of old memories started hitting Nyra. Are we ready yet to dirt our hands while digging the secrets of the past? This point marked the turning point of the story. In this one life, we met many people but not everyone is our twin flame. Would Nyra and Kittu will be able to figure out their life?
•Now, coming on the book cover, it's very well designed as well as it portrays that the book is about two women and their lives. The title is very well-suited and searched. The writing style of the author was simple and reader-friendly. The narration was apt. The pace of the story waa good. All the characters were strongly presented and well-built.

I really loved how detailed the traditions and the information about how constant abuse women went through in 90's, it's constructed soo realistic in this book. I was honestly surprised about how this book didn't get the hype it deserved in India.
And the plot twist? Let's talk about the plot twist.
There's an 'i started at the wall in shock' plot twist at the end chapters. It slowly begins in the first chapters, but you don't really realize how significant each of these moments truly are.... and as you read more, these pieces of the story come together forming a scenario that gives the exact twist. I'm not mentioning it on purpose because I don't want you to expect it. The fact that it's unexpected for you as the reader is very important because As they begin to realize what kind of situation they're in, it's also unexpected for the heroines. It's like finding strength to make the right choice in the hardest situations
Overall, i liked this book. It felt different from all the other books i have read. I recommend this to everyone who loves the mentioned tropes and themes!💌
