Finding Good: My Journey Through Cancer, Addiction, and Learning to Live Again

Rate this book
From “JUST LET IT KILL ME” to Finding Good, Mike Thompson’s inspirational story will empower you to live your best life.

After being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 10, Mike Thompson would endure four total cancers, two bone marrow transplants, more than 75 surgeries—including a 12-hour facial reconstruction—and more than six years in the fog of addiction to opioids. After being freed from the clutches of drug dependency, Mike took a leap of faith and set out to reclaim his life.

How? By focusing on finding good in everything.

As Mike puts it, “Finding Good is about living your best life by taking care of your mind and body, surrounding yourself with good people, and leaving the world better than you found it.”
This heartfelt, unflinching memoir of resilience and redemption will empower you to find the good in your life, too. It's a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there is good to be found.

If you enjoyed memoirs such as The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin or Always Looking Up by Michael J. Fox, you'll be inspired by Finding Good. Buy now before the price changes!

Incredibly honest memoir with a beautiful message. Mike had been through so much yet remains curious and always optimistic. I couldn’t put it down. I’ll admit I know Mikey. I knew some of his cancer story. I had no idea about his addiction story. Such bravery to share so much as well as to return to college and grad school. Absolutely love this book.

I found this book by accident; I cried, I laughed, I enjoyed the Austin ‘Easter eggs’ and endurance sport woven throughout. 1000% recommend
