She’s independent to a fault. But he’s going to show her a love she can’t live without.

Angela Martin doesn’t need a man. She runs her mom’s horse barn on an idyllic coastal island and has plenty of lovers ready anytime she winks. Unfortunately, no one else makes her feel like Jax did on their one night together four years ago. Before he left.

Everyone needs Jaxon his family, his bandmates, and his fans. He can’t think about what he needs... or about the woman he wrapped up in his muscled drummer’s arms on the single best night of his life.

But then a chance encounter in a luxury hotel brings it all back for one unexpected weekend, and this time, it’s different. It’s fate.

When Jax’s band takes an indefinite break, he volunteers to help out at Angela’s barn. Her protective walls are up higher than ever, but Jax can see what she hides from everyone, including herself. With love on the line, how can he prove he’s her “one”?

Author’s Note: A surprising, second chance, he falls first, rockstar romance containing a heroine not afraid to speak her mind, a swoony hero not afraid to take charge in the bedroom, and 5+ spicy scenes with no cliffhangers and a guaranteed Happily Ever After.

I love a strong minded, independent heroine and Angela certainly fits that category!. Her one night of passion with Jax has left both of them physically miles apart, but with a memory that influences their other liaisons. Nobody else quite matches up! A second chance raises its head, underlining the intensity of their attraction to each other.
I loved the pace at which this romance was delivered, giving both leads the time to truly determine what they wanted from each other though Jax is definitely certain earlier than Angela! Having both voices further enhanced the story, allowing the reader to see into each mind and heart. Oh, and don't forget the spice! These two are on fire together!! 💖💖💖💖

Very cute and fun read. Adored Angela’s character and how she went after what she wanted. The passion between her and Jax was wonderful, and I enjoyed how up front they were with each other. *I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I love Christina Braver's Penny Harbor series. In true form, her captivating characters drew me in as their uplifting love story warmed my heart.

Jax is part of a Grammy award winning country band and Angela is a small town vet tech and horse trainer. Their first meeting is an instant attraction leading to a one-night stand. The second meeting is coincidence where they rekindle that first unforgettable night together. The third meeting is deliberate as Jax moves to Angela's home town of Penny Harbor after his band breaks up so he can pursue the woman he has never forgotten from the first time he met her.

Jax's kind and caring personality draws you in, and his patient pursuit of Angela is delightful to watch as he slowly breaks down her walls. Angela is independent and stubborn, and her initial resistance to Jax's charming personality and fierce pursuit is understandable. But his gentle support and hard work at the farm earn her trust and respect, leading to a rewarding ending.

What I loved most about Jax and Angela's relationship was their playful and sexy banter. Their chemistry was electric, and their slow journey to love was relatable and authentic, resonating with anyone who has found the one but is scared of committing. The heat between them was palpable, and their great sex scenes left me wanting more.

Braver's writing is both engaging and evocative as she captures the nuances of human emotions and relationships. And, the cast of memorable characters, including Angela's beloved horses, and interesting venues add interest and insight to an already enjoyable romance. The book is a perfect blend of humor, romance, and drama that will keep you hooked until the very end.

I highly recommend this delightful read that will tug at your heartstrings and leave you with a renewed sense of hope and optimism. This unforgettable novel is bound to leave you smiling long after you have turned the final page.

Thank you to Ms. Braver for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

The latest book in Christina Braver’s Perry Harbor series set on a close-knit island. The heroine Angela had met the hero Jax just as he was on the verge of being discovered so after sharing a wonderful night they parted. He headed off to Nashville and stardom while she returned to her horses and stables, but she’d never forgotten Jax, he was the yardstick she measured all men against, and they fell short. Fate stepped years later when she’s attending a wedding in Nashville, and they meet again in an elevator. They spend an unforgettable few days together before he leaves to finish his tour promising that she’ll her from him. Something she took at face value until one day he appears at the stables ready to help out.

The overall story for Your One was well written with a lot of emotion on the page and with a hero and heroine who were both likeable and genuine I’ll definitely be reading more from this series. I loved the character of Angela. On the surface she was just so in charge of her life and confident in her sexuality, not afraid to go for what she wanted but at the same time, despite her previous behaviour with Jax, she didn’t just jump into bed with him when he appeared at her home. They’d really never had the opportunity to to get to know each other as the timing had always been wrong so they agreed to be friends first and take it from there although Angela had slight abandonment issues from her father’s behaviour so that could’ve been why she was holding Jax at arms length. In the past she’d seen him as temporary, so she’d never let her guard down around him. Jax was perfect boyfriend material. He’d fallen hard and fast for Angela but now the group had gone on hiatus he had to find his place. He also had to learn to let his family stand on their own feet instead of always expecting him to manage their lives for them.

In Your One by Christina Braver, you meet small town girl Angela and sexy "Cowboy" music star Jax.. Jax is a country star that meets Angela a few years prior before his band became famous. They had one night together and he never forgot about her and compared everyone women to her. She never forgot how he made her feel and she pretty much has stayed away from feeling anything for anyone because she didn't want to lose something like that again. They meet by chance years later at a hotel they are both staying at and pick up right where they left off, hot and spicy. When the band leaves to go back on the rest of their tour, he vows that they won't lose touch again and she waiting for him to get back in touch. Months go by and she is back at the barn where she trains horse and works as a vet tech when they need another pair of hands. Her brother Alex reaches out to Jax inviting him to come there and help fill in. She shocked and hurt when she sees him standing there. They agree to be just friends without anything more. As time goes on, that changes and they start feeling for each other again, and things get spicy.

When Jax is called away to deal with some family things. Angela shuts down and starts to feel like he's leaving her and doesn't want her anymore. He stands up to his parents and goes back to see Angela on an important day and is there when she competes and is there when she finished. She thinks that she is dreaming but its really Jax coming back to show that he has fallen in love with her and its not just a hook up anymore. She at the same time has learned herself that she is in love with him and she can not live without him either.

This story is great because each chapter is written as either her or him and when each chapter finishes it pick up right where the other left off. It makes the story line better that you are not reading the same thing twice just in a different person's view. I like that and think for this story it works well and brings you into the story. There is nothing left at the end that makes you guess what is going to happen, everything comes full circle and all your questions are answered. This book is well written, and the spiciness is very high. I think you will like this book if you love the small town feel/ girl that falls for the famous boy that just found the love of his life.

I loved everything about this book. A one night stand, second chance in a small town? Yes please. Add in that she's an equestrian and he's a country star? This makes for a great mix! Angela and Jax had an amazing connection and the story pulled me into their lives. They have heat, amazing sweetness, and a great back and forth. All of the characters are lovable, the friendships, relationships, and the overall feeling of the story really connected with my heart. As an added bonus I loved her connection with the horses and as someone that grew up with them as well, there was a great emotional hit there too. It's a must read!

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Thank you to Grey’s Promo for a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Your One was sweet and tender and so Hallmark-y. I really enjoyed how Braver managed to make the plot real and relatable while also incorporating unique characters. This was was just shy of four stars for me. Perfect little mix of cowboy romance with strong FMC, and a little ex-celebrity factored in.

The main characters are sweet and the side characters are fun and interesting, and from what I’ve seen they all have their own books already! So if you like this one, you have plenty of backlog to dive into.

This is a great feel good rainy day book, and I really recommend it for both the chemistry and the Hallmark factor.

I'm torn. I really like the story line of this book and love the characters. However there is an underlying agenda that can get a little too much at times.

The love between Angela and Jax is real. She has to learn to trust and he has to put himself first.

Overall a great book!

Angela Martin managed the horses at EZ Martin Farms which her mom owned. She loved horses and it was her life now. She bought her own horse Roscoe whom she loved more than anything and she couldn’t see herself anywhere else but in Washington at the family’s horse farm.

Jaxon Evans was the drummer for The Rusty Truck Band and even though the band was at the height of their popularity they knew it was time for each of them to go their separate ways. Jaxon’s parents wanted him to work for them as they were very successful psychiatrists and toured the world giving talks.

Four years ago as The Rusty Truck Band was beginning Jaxon and Angela met after a concert in Seattle and spent a magical evening together and neither expects to see the other in a hotel elevator but as sparks fly once again will they have a chance to rekindle the magic 4 years later?

This was a good book and I really enjoyed it. This is the first book that I have read by this author so I do believe that there could be some back story that I am missing with some of the other characters. I don’t know if there is a book with Angela’s twin Alex but I think his story would be good to know.

I liked Angela and I found her dedication and devotion to the horses inspiring. She really cared about what she was doing and she really cared about saving horses when she was able to. I admired her for making some really tough decisions with her horses and it really showed how selfless she was. I liked that she was quite confident and comfortable in her own skin when it came to Jaxon but you could also tell she was insecure when it came to what she faced growing up.

Jaxon was “just the drummer” and apparently in a rock band the least noticed but he’s ok with that since he never got over Angela from their encounter 4 years ago. He doesn’t know what he wants to do with his life after the band but he knows he will never following the path his parents have laid out for him. I really liked how hard he worked at the farm and learned as much as he could.

One thing about both of these characters is that they both have some parental issues. Angela has issues with her father and Jaxon has issues with both of his parents and then practically raising his younger sisters as his parents toured the world.

The chemistry between these two is intense and sizzling! When they decide to keep things platonic between them initially you can see how they truly begin to get to know each other and there relationship has a new level of respect between them. Things happen in a good way and things don’t feel rushed.

There are moments of laughter and there are a few moments where you are holding your breath. I never thought I’d get so emotional about a horse!

Looking forward to reading more from this author.- Rebecca

I want to live in Perry Harbor. Every time I start one of Christina Braver’s books, I feel like I’m back among friends gathering at the Boathouse. This small harbor town a couple of hours from Seattle has so many people there to love! And she’s written about several of them and I’m hoping she just keeps bringing more to life.

Angela is a strong, independent woman who is comfortable with her sexuality. She runs a horse farm with her mom where they train riders and horses to compete. She’s not looking for a relationship and she doesn’t trust a relationship to last. When she met Jax, they had one night together like none she’d had before. When they run into each other again, they spend 3 days together and she can’t get him out of her mind.

Jax is a drummer in a band that was touring when he and Angela met. When they parted the second time, he knew he would see her again, he wanted more. When the band plays their final concert and disbands, Jax heads back to Seattle where his parents have a home, hoping to pursue his photography hobby. When Angela’s brother contacts him, asking if he can help out with the horses for a couple of months, Jax jumps at the chance to spend more time with her.

Braver draws the reader into the lives of her characters, making us feel like we are there cheering them on as they slowly build a solid, trusting, loving relationship. I’ve loved all of the books in this series and if you haven’t read anything by Christina Braver start with book 1 “Your Two Lips” and read the whole series! I’d give this more than 5 stars if I could!

This was my first read by the author and definitely won't be my last one. The story was very well written and even though it's part of a series, you can read it as a standalone as I never felt lost. I really enjoyed the chemistry and banter between Angela & Jax but also I love a small town romance mixed with the animals that were written into the story as it just brings something more to the story. I loved how strong Angela was portrayed and stood up for everyone around her; she had such a kind heart which I really adored, as I definitely understood where she came from. A great read!

Angela makes sure her farm runs smoothly and she gives her best every single day as she just loves what she does. When she has to go to a wedding, she never thought the would run into the guy that she had a great one-night stand with. Jax has been on the road for a long time now but a lot has changed and the band is about to reveal big news that will change their future. When he sees Angela again, the chemistry between them is palpable and who knows what will happen next but they live very different lives. When Angela needs help back at the farm, Jax goes to help her out. As both are trying to figure out what to do next, they grow even closer but Angela has a lot of walls up and when things start to shift, she doesn't really know if Jax will stay in the end. Will they find their way to one another?...

In Your One, the reader meets Angela a small town girl, and Jax a sexy musician. The two have meet prior to Jax becoming a musician and had chemistry. Jax has not found a woman that compares to Angela since that time. Angela is afraid to fall for or have feelings for anyone else as she does not want to get hurt again as she did when Jax left.

They immediately pick up where they left off when they run into one another at the hotel they are both staying at. When Jaxs band has to leave he promises to not lose touch. A few months late Angela’s brother reaches out to Jax for assistance on the farm. Jax shows up and Angela is surprised that he shows. This begins to change things between them and this is when the spicy of their relationship kicks off.

This novel is very well written, spicy and does not leave the reader wondering what happened next. This was my first novel I have read by Christina and it was definitely a great read! I had trouble putting this novel down at times!

A cute and easy to read small town romance that's told perfectly in dual POV where one chapter ends the other picks up seemlessly. Jax is a drummer for a famous band who can't help but think about the girl he had a one night stand with. Angela is a farm girl who trains horses and can't stop thinking about a certain drummer from her past, no matter the guy she's with. Her past makes it her hard for her to trust people so when a chance encounter 4 years later brings Jax back into her life and he makes a promise he doesn't keep, can he help bring her walls down and regain her trust months later?

This is the 5th book in the Perry Harbor series, but can be read as a stand-alone as this was the first one I read, and I didn't feel lost without reading the rest of the series. Definitely would recommend as Jax and Angela were meant for each other and reads out almost like a Hallmark movie would.

Your One by Christina Braver

Ok I have to say that most of the time we all day we have this huge crush in the male character don’t get me wrong I loved Jax. However I must say my crush was definitely on Angela. She was this force of nature this strong independent female and I loved her for it. Not only can’t you help but crush on her a little bit but you want to be more like her. I really truly enjoyed Angela and Jax’s story. They meet but it’s not heir time to be together/ he goes off to be famous and chase his dream and she stays where she is happiest at the ranch. Years later they find each other again and once more have to go their separate ways. However this time Jax is not willing to let more time go by without making a move so he shows up to the ranch. I loved that when they are finally together they take their time really getting to know each other. I loved this book you guys and I truly think you will too. Highly recommend.

This is the 5th book in this series, and this is Jax and Angela’s story.
Jax is a drummer in a rock band, and Angela is a fiercely independent country girl. These two shared a one night stand 4-years previously, and Jax is who Angela compared all her encounters too, and they all failed. Jax and Angela have a chance meeting again, and when his band takes an indefinite break, he heads to work at Angela’s barn.
This is a well written story which is easy to read, with family, friendships, opposites attract, emotions, close proximity, second chances, romance, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and steamy, small town romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This is a new author for me, so after I read the description on the story, it sounded pretty interesting to me since I've started loving books with band characters. Jax and Angela are two pretty strong characters, both tend to help those who need it, Jax with people, Angela with horses. The chemistry between these two was pretty steamy and made for a pretty good book. I happen to live in the PNW, so reading a story in that setting was pretty great. Loved the horse farm setting, Roscoe and Lady grew on me pretty quickly. Since I have not read the previous books in this series, I had no problem with understanding the characters in the storyline, so it can be read as a standalone. Definitely a book that kept my interest.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

Your one is the fifth book in the Perry Harbor Series and can be read as a standalone. We meet Angela and Jax who meet a few years before Jax’s band becomes famous. They share a night together then go their separate ways. Years later they see each other again at a hotel they are both staying at and pick up right where they left off.

This was such a sweet story! Christina has such a beautiful way of writing stories! Her characters are always relatable and they pull you into the story! Angela has a troubled past and it makes it hard for her to trust people. Jax is one person she can really let her walls down and let him in. I love how Jax set out to show Angela what a good man can be. Their chemistry was great from the start and they had great banter! I don’t want to give away too much but I highly recommend this book and I also really enjoyed your turn! I can’t wait to go back and read the rest of the series!

What to Expect:
Small Town
Second Chance
One night stand
Close Proximity

Although this is book 5 in the series, I've only read the previous book, so I can confirm that this is very easily understood as a standalone read with it's own HEA.
Like my previous experience with this author, this is a well thought out, well crafted and written story with very realistic characters. I didn't always like Angela (I found her a bit abrasive) but she is a great character and meshes well with Jax. There isn't anything wasted in this story, there's nothing here to just fluff it out, which makes for a wonderful, indepth story.

Wow! First time reader for this author. She’s really good! Like really good! I’m glad I found a new author to read.
Angela and Jax meet 4 years ago and they hit it off instantly. Sexually and emotionally. They tell each other that they will call or text and no one does. Jax moves on with his country music rockstar life and Angela continues to groom horses on her ranch. Fast forward 4 years in the now and they meet up again in Nashville at a hotel. Instant attraction again like last time but maybe a little more. Jax has his farewell tour and Angela needed to go back to Seattle.
Now with the tour over he cannot stop thinking about what ifs. Does he not get a call from Angela’s brother saying that they need help on the ranch? Jumps to the chance to be near her again.
Super story! Awesome characters. Like with many sexually active books the dialogue in the sex scenes is a bit awkward but it doesn’t take away from the book too much. Might just read the rest of the series!! Btw. It’s a stand alone!!

A cute read with a romantic story. Jax is a drummer for a famous band. He loves to take pictures and can’t stop thinking about a woman he meet four years ago. Angela loves working on her family farm. She trains horses and is good at what she does. When she is a at wedding she sees a man she can’t get out of her head. Jax and Angela were not only made for each other. They were made to have a second chance with each other. What are these two people who live different lives in different places supposed to do? Figure their shit out…that’s what. This was a quick paced read with a lot of sweetness and a little spice. I am truly enjoying this series and can’t wait to read what is coming up next.

Jax and Angela's story starts four years earlier, they first met at a music festival where he and his band was performing and spent an unforgettable night together. Now they see each other again in Nashville where she is going to a friends' wedding and he is performing with is band. What neither realize until later is that every person they were with were measured against them.

Jax loves taking photographs, his family wants him to do something they deem respectable, but when he is in between careers, he goes to work on Angela's farm. Angela loves her family farm, horses, and she is good at training them. What she can't shake is the man she can't get out of her head.

These two were made for each other and finally have a real chance at building a relationship. Their story is sweet and romantic and these two together I think could achieve anything they wanted. What are two people who live different lives and in different places supposed to do when they want to be together? They figure it out and fix all the obstacles that come their way. I loved how we got both sides of the story it really made the story deeper. I loved these two characters and can't wait to see where this series takes us.
