To begin, The Dominant is a trilogy-Claim, Defy, Own, combined into one. This was perfect for someone who doesn’t like to wait between books. 💁🏼♀️
The FMC, Sophia is beautiful, strong, and has built up a suit of armor from her upbringing and uses it to deal in her daily life. Damon, the dominant and damaged MMC, is afraid to connect with another, after his last Dom-Sub relationship ended. Sophia finds herself drawn to the world of BDSM and has an immediate connection to Damon that was meant to be a one night thing. As this is a trilogy, we know their relationship continues to unfold over the books, taking us through highs and lows, twists & turns, suspense and plenty of pent up sexual tension. 🫦
I really enjoyed the dynamics of the Morelli siblings and may seek out the other books featuring them, as I wished there was a tiny 🤏 bit more background on them in the books. Damon safely introduced Sophia to the world of kink, but I felt he mentally stressed her more than was necessary, regardless of his I’m not good for you mentality, it took it a bit too far at points for me. Thankfully for us, Sophia was tenacious and had the mental capacity of a saint from dealing with poor family dynamics throughout. The ending of Own was my favorite of the books and I’m glad they both worked through their internal struggles and found a HEA.

This was Sophia and Damon's love story. Highly entertaining and hard to put down.
A fascinating trilogy about them meeting, trying to figure out how and if they should work as a couple. Since they seem perfect for each other, I was rooting for them from the beginning. Will they figure it out? Will they let their ancestors ruin their futures? Can they be selfless for each other?
Forbidden romance, dark romance, kink lifestyle, highly spicy - might not be for everyone.

This is the complete Violent Delights trilogy following a Dom with a questionable past, Damon, and a model with some mob/mafia ties, Sofia. The books follow the two getting together, getting arrested, self sabotage, and finding their ways through life, even without the other.
Claim: Sofia's brother owns a kink club and Sofia has always been curious. She has visited before but wants to participate. Damon is at the club the night Sofia is there and goes for her, even after realizing she is the club owner's, and his friend's, sister. Both become addicted to each other but Damon carries a hefty amount of grief for his previous sub committing suicide. This book is basically Sofia attempting to help Damon out of his grief. The book ends on a not so happy note.
Defy: Sofia and her family's past are out to get her. She is arrested for a murder and because of some of some choices she made in the past and vendettas against her not so nice family, people are making sure the charge sticks. Lots of games are played while the truth comes out. Damon arranges for bail but Sofia is not about to be a kept woman. The same struggles remain between Sofia and Damon throughout this book. Book again ends in an unfriendly way.
Own: Damon realizes what he lost in Sofia and Sofia realizes that she will be fine without Damon. While the physical is still there between them, Sofia fights giving her all to him again, just for it to be broken. This book is the two finding their ways back to each other.
The trilogy held my attention, but the MCs were just too stubborn. I wanted to yell at both of them to get over themselves. I was glad that Sofia held her ground at times with Damon. There didn't seem to be a lot of actual affection between the two - at least not from Damon to Sofia. The few scenes and mentions of aftercare are the only softer side of Damon throughout. This may just be me not completely understanding their dynamic. Damon did have a lot of actions that showed he cared, but could also be taken as possessive and controlling, and not actually caring.
I gave the book 4 stars because I liked the balance of bedroom scenes with plot, the writing was good, dual POV.

The Dominant is an enjoyable read with likable characters and an interesting story. The fiery relationship between Sophia and Damon is compelling. They each grew up in an abusive household, which colors their perception of relationships. Damon's experience with a previous submissive has convinced him that he is unfit for anything more than occasional nights with the available subs at his club; while Sophia, having learned from her mother's example, has vowed never to be under the thumb of any man. Yet they are drawn to each other.
Sophia and Damon's up and down story was told over the course of three books which are all contained within this one volume. Each book has its own drama but all is satisfactorily resolved in the end. Overall I thought the story was really good but I found it challenging to believe that Sophia and her siblings would want anything to do with their parents - and getting everyone together at family dinners, including the grandkids, seemed like something they would all want to avoid. At least, I would! I also never read a book where the submissive was continually calling her Dom names like a-hole and that got tiresome after a while. Other than that, it was all good. 4.5 stars.

I gave this one 3 stars. It was fine and had some Fifty Shades similarities in some ways. However, it was quite long and I have found that when something is over 600 pages, the author sometimes loses sight of the plot and where it is leading OR begins to ramble. I realize that this is marketed as three books in one, but basically it's one book with three sections. Having said this, the storyline and characters are definitely spicy! Also, the reader can tell that there are several other stories about this family and their business interests based on character dynamics. I find that it's an interesting concept that this "series" is written by multiple authors. I may end up reading more about this family or something else by Snow, but at this point I'm not ready to add her to my faves list. There's always hope for maybe later.

I had a good time with this one and it checks many of the boxes I use to look for a contemporary romance (spice ✅, forbidden(ish) relationship ✅, good characters that don’t get annoying too quickly ✅, etc.)… but that being said, I don’t think it’s going to be a book that I remember way down the line, nor is it going to be a 2025 monthly favorite. I do think it was the right time for me to read this though because I needed a book that would take me out of reality and a book where I didn’t necessarily need to think… and it definitely gave me that. Overall, I thought the characters were alright (they didn’t bug me, but they did get repetitive across the trilogy), the spice was spicing 🌶️💥, and it was just a quick read that I could power through easily without using too much of my brain’s capacity.

The Dominant is a collection combining the three books - Claim, Defy and Own - that make up Damon and Sophia's story, perfect for readers like me who prefer to binge-read, rather than wait for the HEA. The stories are part of a multi-author series about the Morelli siblings - which all make appearances - and at times I would have liked to have more of a background on them. Damon and Sophia are both very likeable characters and I enjoyed their instant attraction and the careful introduction to kink. There's plenty of hair-raising suspense, surprising twists and turns, as well as a lot of angst and soul-searching, before they find their well-deserved HEA.

Absolutely incredible story. No two more stubborn people than Damon and Sophia are perfect for each other.
I loved every moment of it! The Dom and his brat that shouldn’t have worked. The frustration, the discovery, the growth, the twists and turns.
I’m so glad I got this as the complete trilogy because my heart couldn’t handle the breaks between each story.
I wanted the HEA, I was so invested.
Oozing erotic everything, these two were combustible.
I want more!!!!

Holy wow this book was amazing. The chemistry and spark from Damon and Sophia is off the charts from the first time they meet. Sophia is new to the world of BDSM. She knows that is what drives her wilds by watching everyone at her brothers club. She's only watched but she's itching to participate only no Dom has sparked her interest till she meets Damon, who also happens to be a friend of her brother. Damon knows he should stay away but hes enamored by Sophia. But with his past he can only offer her pleasure no relationship. But she makes him want so much more. SO much more. This book will have you hooked from the first page till the end. Its so good and wow I love their chemisty.

This was a great collection of stories! I really enjoyed the D/s dynamics but I do feel like the concept of the dead former submissive has been overdone. Damon is a great character, though. He is your typical alphahole but isn't that why we read these books? For the men we love to hate? The HEA is believable as well which is something I appreciate because I am quick to DNF a book over a seemingly forced ending. Sophia is a bad ass FMC. I love her push back. She gives Damon a run for his money for sure. Overall this was a well written story even though it relied on what I feel are overused tropes.

What was previously three books, is presented in this one fantastic read about Damon and Sophia's steamy romance. After both having been raised by miserable parents, they are both denying they will ever be in a committed relationship. However, they are irresistibly drawn to each other at first sight. Each section of the book is different challenges they face toward their ultimate HEA. I was drawn into the story between Damon's guilt and possessiveness and Sophia's torment over becoming her mother and being the black sheep of the family. I was also pleasantly surprised that the storyline and the depth of the characters was so much more than I expected.

The way Sienna Snow has created a world blending mafia and BDSM in such a way shows her talent as an experienced writer. Her story isn’t the typical angry man in the mafia who wants to kill everybody. In fact, it’s questionable as to whether the characters are in the mafia at all. The story refers to such, but the book doesn’t revolve around that aspect. Her tastes are slightly different in that violence is almost absent in this book. She writes more about the emotional side of the dom/sub lifestyle. Her writing is more true to life than many books of this genre. Well done, Ms. Snow.

Last year I had the benefit of reading the Violent Delight series! It was my delight to be able to re-visit with Damon and Sophia.
It was as emotional and as engaging as the first time through, though this time, there were no gaps in between!
If you want to explore Sophia's new experiences along with her, this is the series for you.
And, Damon will touch your heart, I think!
This complete series should not be missed!

The Dominant is a trilogy following Damon and Sophia. The trilogy is well written and I had a hard time putting it down. One thing that I found quite different is that the trilogy is written by different authors. The chemistry between Damon and Sophia is off the charts. The Dominant is full of drama, suspense, and lots of passion.

OMG!!! Totally loved this book! Intense storyline that took my emotions on a roller coaster ride with all the ups and downs. Characters pasts were unique and shaped them into the people they are now. The club helps them deal with issues and together they were smoking hot!!!! Way better than five stars.

This is an excellent trilogy. The three books in one are full of spice, dom/sub and BDSM with great character development. There’s angst, suspense, twists and kink. I enjoyed Damon’s and Sophia’s romance. Their story was well written and enjoyable.

I absolutely loved this book! It’s definitely in my top favorites. I love that all three books were in one. The BDSM was fantastic! Was heart wrenching but so wholesome. The ending was so cute! I enjoyed this book so much and recommend to those who love BDSM.

Overall I think this book was very good. I liked all the drama that went on. The only thing I was slightly iffy on was sometimes I hated how controlling Damon was. It just seemed like a bit of overkill. Otherwise it was very good and I enjoyed it
