My ARC copy of Dangerous Ties By Jenna Gunn is the next book in Agile Security and Rescue series and it is great from the very first page! It's filled with danger, suspense, romance, hot alpha males, and secrets. Though Beckett doesn't believe he is good enough for Madeline, he would give his life to protect her. Madeline has her own secret that makes her feel she's not worthy of love from the former Force Recon operative. Enjoy this action-packed read.

OK, where to start?
If you like OTT protective and possessive MMCs. If you like ACTION in romance books. If you like military books. If you like huge team cohesion.
Then, this, and all the other books in this series, are 100% for you.
This book doesn't stop with action. From the start to the end. It's just WOW. You think now, they can finally get to an end in the case but BAM, the next thing happens.
And don't let me start with Beckett. No, really, don't let me start, because if, I know I can't stop. But you want to know about him? OK, but don't say, I didn't warn you...
Beckett is WOOOOOOW. I'm not sure if I ever read a book with an MMC more OTT-protective than him. But he is broken. And he thinks he isn't worth Madeline's love. God, I can't say how much I love these kind of men... They are always so extremely "cute".
Even though this book is an age gap, it's never mentioned in the book. So, it's never a problem or anything.
Everything in this book happens in just 2 days 😱

Beckett meets Madeline when he's helping to rescue her sister, he's immediately attracted to her, but his best friend, Dozer, is engaged to her sister, McKenzie, so by a weird bro code, she's off limits.
He's told her many times that her security, she's a famous singer, isn't up to scratch but she relies on her manager, so when he suggests she goes to a film premiere with a view to Vic publishing her next album, she goes, even though he's slimy, then things go pear shaped quickly. She rings Beckett to rescue her, not knowing he now works for Agile. He wants back up from the team but she won't let him involve Dozer.

Lightning strikes again! Beck and Mads are freaking awesome together: their chemistry is a perfect storm! She’s been through so much and even though she’s a successful musician there’s no sense of great achievement. They’re both too hard on themselves and have missed out on a beautiful relationship.
Jenna Gunn has the formula for spicy, steamy, and dirty sex scenes that are so dang outstanding and out does herself EVERY single time. Her Agile men and women love their partners, their families, and their coworkers with an all in attitude.
I loved Beck’s commitment to protect Madeline and her perseverance in showing him that she was attracted to him. They danced around intimacy until Beck finally listened and understood that he could have her, that she wanted him forever, and that they would be better together. I can’t wait for the next guy to find his woman!.

Jenna Gunn’s tenth book in the Agile Security & Rescue series brings one of her most intense stories with off-the-charts action. She skillfully captures the reader’s attention with suspense, danger, emotion, mystery, and surprise twists.
The chemistry between former Marine / former ATF agent Sebastian Beckett and popular country singer Madeline Rush is impassioned. Despite his personal reservations about loving again, he can’t resist his attraction toward her, especially when her life is in danger. Madeline has her own personal secrets and dangerous threats against her life.
This book also guest stars Simona, one of my favorite Agile characters from Dr. Trouble! The sexy blonde Czech kickass spitfire is instrumental at the action-packed safe house scene.
At the end of the book, I especially love the reunion of the Agile men and women from the previous books! Although I have read every book in this series, it makes me want to go back and read them all again! Dangerous Secrets is part of the Agile Security and Rescue series but can be read as a standalone. It follows Sebastian ‘Kodiak’ Beckett a former marine and former ATF agent who recently started working with Agile Security and Rescue and
Madeline Rush a famous musician whose sister is McKenzie who's marrying Dozer a member of Agile and Beckett's friend.
The two of them have an undeniable chemistry but Beckett doesn't feel like he's good enough for her so he finds ways to avoid her. When his first assignment is working the blackmail case concerning Madeline he agrees as long as he doesn't have to have any contact with her. Then everything changes when he gets a frantic call from her. Their lives are about to get turned upside down and not everything is as it appears.
The storyline is action packed, suspensefilled, dangerous and intriguing with twists, turns and secrets along the way. Oh and the undeniable chemistry that's pulling them closer and closer together. I must say their story won't be easy to forget.

Oh my gosh! This book was beyond amazing! Beckett and Madeline are simply the best! They both have feelings for each other, and have had for a long time, but he’s too stubborn and she’s afraid of being rejected so they skirt around each other…until they don’t. One thing you can say about the Agile Series, those books are never boring. This is a fairly long book but it reads so quickly. I think it’s because it sucks you in and makes it extremely hard to put down. I’m pretty sure I would have been finished at least 8 hours sooner if I hadn’t taken a little break…darn work getting in my way! This book is super sexy, exciting and humorous. We get to revisit old friends and we’re getting to know some new ones much better…can’t wait for their stories. I’m thinking that Beast is going to be a new favorite and Evan will be neck to neck with him. Great read Ms. Gunn, thanks for sharing your talent with us!.

This was an absolutely brilliant story. Once again, Jenna Gunn has brought forward another fantastic story of the Agile Security & Rescue series. In this story we have Sebastian ‘Kodiak’ Beckett and Madeline Rush who face everything from danger from external sources, and Becketts, own interpretation of danger in a romantic aspect and trying to resist Madeline’s attraction. it was great to see other characters from previous stories, and especially Madeline‘s sister McKenzie, who is engaged to Dozer who we learn about in book 8. There is a lot of action and high heat and then Beckett realises that he can’t live without Madeline. There is a happy ending but of course I’m sure there’s more danger ahead for future stories.

Beckett and Madeline are two of the most beautiful characters and I absolutely adored them both!
Jenna Gunn most certainly knows exactly how to craft the best action scenes and oh my word, the chemistry she draws from Beckett and Madeline……I’m quite sure I felt it on my fingertips as I flipped the pages on my kindle!
Look no further because this is by far the best story by Jenna Gunn so far and I’ve loved them all!!!

Told from the POV of both characters, I loved Beckett and Madeline's thrilling story.
Not taking her personal security seriously enough, Madeline winds herself up in all sorts of trouble and doesn't know who to turn to except a guy she met at her sisters party!!
When Beckett receives an unexpected call from Madeline, he jumps straight in to help her, along with the rest of the Agile Security members!
Brilliant storyline with wonderful characters and loved the HEA.
I'm looking forward to reading about the new team!!

Boy oh Boy, Beckett to the … mmh rescue, ass kicking or putting his foot in his mouth? Maybe all of the above? Well it sure made reading exciting, anxious and very occupied. No chance to stop with all the things happening. So much going on and some funny moments.

Beckett is a new member of the Agile Security family but he knows he's found a good group of people to work with. He didn't count on the sister-in-law of one of his co-workers being the woman he can't forget. Madeline is a super star country singer. Her life is out of control and now she's in danger. Her sister is marrying one of the Agile Security operatives so she is now part of the Agile family as well. The two of them are on a crash course into each other's trajectories. Will they crash into each other and destroy or save each other?
What I enjoyed was that this allowed the whole team to work together. I wonder how Agile ever gets paid when they seem to run from one personal crisis to the next but if the author doesn’t care about that then I’ll set it aside. I like that Beckett has a lot of background. He had a rough childhood which led to a serious military career cut short and a stint with the ATF but he landed on his feet with Agile. I was surprised that Madeline didn’t know the reason Beckett left the ATF given how the team members gossip. Madeline has a secret that she hides from because she had so many issues with it as a child. The author makes a point of including the damage fame has caused for Madeline. I thought that was an important part of her character. I thought the bad guy was so so. He wants to have Madeline under his thumb but makes a critical error. That makes me think he’s not so smart.
Beckett's actions occasionally crossed a line in this story. For example, watching her house at night. No No. That's creepy especially given the fact that he had rejected her when she offered to be with him. The author never corrected that instead choosing to have Madeline kind of shrug and just accept it. I hate it when a couple is in grave danger so they get down and dirty which then leads to bad stuff. Why? If these are adults and professionals AND they are dealing with immediate danger, why are they driven by adult instincts? It's a pet peeve of mine and this book has a couple of moments that didn't feel like they were natural. I can’t place my finger on why the story didn’t hook me except that it was lots of little things. In the end, it didn’t make me love the main characters and it didn’t make me root for them to win over the bad guys. It was sort of blah.
This is a contemporary romance set mostly in California. It is part of the Agile Security series. I would not recommend this as a stand alone because it closes out this series and introduces the next series. I generally love the books from this author so I will read more in the future. This book just wasn’t for me.

The MMC is former military 💣🎖️, disciplined, intense, and hyper-aware of threats — which makes the bodyguard vibes feel very real and grounded. The FMC is a celebrity 🌟🎤 (her exact career is a bit vague if you’re jumping in out of order), and while this can be read as a standalone, it’s not the first book in the series. Because of that, there are a few gaps in context 🤏📖 — but nothing that completely pulls you out of the story. They’re easy enough to overlook once the plot gets going.
This one has more plot and external conflict than I’m usually used to 🧠⚠️, which meant it took me longer to read — but in a good way. The pacing is steady, the danger feels constant, and the stakes are higher than just the romance 💥❤️. This book can be read as a standalone but there are reoccurring characters from earlier books in the series. This one is scorching hot! The attraction between the two main characters will grab a hold of them and not let them go even though they insist that they are wrong for each other. They each feel that they are too broken and unworthy to be loved but true love will just have to prove how wrong those thoughts are. He will have to protect the one woman that he has sworn not to get close to from a man who has threatened not only her but her entire family. When she finds herself in a threatening situation, he is the only man that she can think to call to help rescue her. The journey will have many ups and downs and a few scares but, in the end, these two may just find that everything they wanted is right there waiting. This was a very entertaining read and I look forward to more in this series and then new spin-off series.

This is such a crazy good read! Becket is a strong, unemotional muscled bodyguard. He is very good at his job. Madeline needs help. She has been threatened. Madeline does not trust her own security guards and makes a call to Becket. She trusts him to keep her safe. I loved the characters! Becket and Madeline make this story come to life. The characters have just the right amount of sizzle. They have an immediate connection. They feel the spark, the electricity that runs between them. It’s hot, lusty, sexy, smoldering. The characters will experience deception, danger, suspense, violence and death. But they also will find understanding, kindness, compassion, tenderness and love. What I am trying to say - this is really, really a fantastic read! The book is a definite keeper!!.

I honestly really loved these two. Beckett and Madeline!
Madeline and Beckett had an attraction that they both resisted for emotional reasons but when Madeline is in grave danger, Beckett can't help but come when he is called.
Beckett is such an alpha Protector who just adored Madeline but didn't feel worthy of her, but for another reason she felt the same. Their attraction and chemistry was to powerful to resist though.
So well done. I enjoyed the twists and turns in this wonderful book. It really grabbed me and had me pulling for them to get out of their own way. The team spirit was certainly there and helped that come about.
A brilliant story and one I can highly recommend.

Madeline is a country singer, a good one who started when she was young, 15. She is now twenty four and burnt out, not only that she has a major problem. When out to a movie premier with Vic Marlow, a record producer, she witnesses him kidnapping someone. This is where Agile Security comes in. Her sister is engaged to one of their agents, so she is family. Beckett is charged with protecting her. This book is really good. The characters both new and old are well written. The plot is great. As usual Ms. Gunn has done a fantastic job with the whole thing. OH don't let the number of chapters put you off, eighty, they are all well written and go fast.

What a wild ride! This book has everything: romance, steam, suspense, and plenty of action. The story is in high gear, almost from the beginning. It starts with a sizzling attraction between Madeline, a country singing star in trouble, and new Agile agent, Beckett. His need to protect her is a driving force but he is fighting his feelings for her with everything in him because she is soon to be family to someone he considers a brother and is off-limits. Fate has other ideas though, constantly throwing them together in dangerous situations, until he can no longer deny what they both want. This riveting story was so good that I couldn't put it down. I loved it.
