100% spoiler-free review!

Ok, I know a lot of you may have read the official blurb and all but I really don’t want to say anything about the plot here in terms of what this book is about. If you haven’t read book #1, Down To You, then you should absolutely read it first because this book is a direct continuation of that story. If you HAVE read book #1, then all you need to know is that the story line we were left off with continues in this book, develops, branches out and concludes happily.

There is a big twist though! Yup, another twist! An exciting one!! *grins* Teeheehee. I really liked it! Aaaaand that twist leads on into an awesome little tid-bit that we get at the end of the book that leads right into a third book!! Yes, a third book! *happy dance* I’m quite excited to see how it all plays out! But you should know that this book has a resolved, happy ending. No cliffhanger. So your hearts can rest easy.

Just like with the first book, this one has clear cut, alternating POVs giving you the whole story while fully immersing you in the characters’ thoughts and actions. Its fun too because you never feel like you’re missing out on a part of the story even when it branches off temporarily into separate story lines.

K, in the interest of keeping this spoiler free, I’m just going to never mention the hero’s name. Lol. Feels a little weird, but I think its the right thing to do

But yeah, my favorite Davenport is back in full yummilicious, panty-melting swing. Seriously. The things that man SAYS just make my heart race! He’s thoughtful and sweet but with just enough bad and good boy in him to keep things interesting! Haha, Olivia’s best friend says it best:

“And just as I suspected. I’ve been worrying my ass off and you’ve been having multiple orgasms at the head of a Greek god’s penis. Figures.”

In this book, he asks for trust and, given some of the things Olivia knows about him, its a bit of a leap of faith. She has trust issues too given her past but she trusts him with her life and her heart and its up to him to prove himself worthy of it.

“Can you trust me? Please! I know I’ve not given you many reasons to, but this one time, just go with your heart. I promise you, promise you, I won’t let you down.”
…I want to be worth the risk. I want her to finally fall for the right guy.

The plot was fun and exciting, the sex was hot, the banter made me laugh out loud… there was a blend of kidnappings, mafia deals, shootouts on the one hand and tender, hot, sweet moments on the other. It didn’t lodge my heart in my throat at anytime, and in that way was almost a little just fun and relaxed. Basically, it was perfect for my Saturday afternoon :)

If words could knock you up, I'd be pregnant with twins...

Speaking of twins...CASH DAVENPORT! Cash...Davenport! Up to Me?...more like In to Me. I'm. In. Love.

Cash is the perfect blend of hard and soft, rough and gentle. Hard and...hard! I loved being inside his head. I loved everything he did...everything he said. Whether it was dripping with heat or down right hilarity...

My hard-on isn't a problem anymore; the sound of Marissa's voice took care of that. In fact, it almost gave me a damn vagina

This man sweats desire! The sexual banter between Olivia and Cash was a combination of everything...a combination of perfect. It hits every spot; funny, sweet, passionate, and erotic.

Um, yeah. That seems vaguely familiar.
Vaguely? Maybe I didn't pound it into you hard enough.

So it's all coming back to you now?

I doubt there's anything you could do to get it in there any deeper.
The only way we'll know for sure is to try.

Oh yeah...the plot. It was action packed and toe curling, but it had its dull moments. However, this time...I didn't see that coming. I loved not knowing and that's why I won't say much about it. I want it to knock you back exactly like it did me. I want Cash to turn you on exactly like he did me.

I can honestly say that I enjoyed the plot of book one better, but...Cash's dialogue, thoughts, and intimate moments with Olivia were enough to make me really enjoy this one. Enjoy it more than I should any inanimate object (without batteries of course). It's fun, hot, and everything in between.

OH. MY. CASH DAVENPORT!!!!!!

Okay, the thing is, I don't exactly know what to write. I'm afraid if I type up a review, I would just spoil it for you. All I can say is: I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!! I FREAKIN' LOVED IT!!! I devoured it in one sitting. I just can't stop reading as I'm so eager to know what will happen next. This book has the perfect elements of a great read: It has SUSPENSE. ACTION. and of course, ROMANCE. And don't get me started on the sex scenes 'cause OH MY FREAKIN' GOD, IT WAS SO DAMN HOT, I THINK I'LL COMBUST!!!

Layers of DECEIT...
Danger becomes an all to real part of Olivia's life when the Russian mob closes in on Cash. And now with Marissa being kidnapped and held in exchange for the information Cash holds... Info which by the way could give the Russian's serious prison time; Cash is forced to make some very hard decisions.

He reaches out to his father for help and what he gets leaves him SHOCKED causing his trust to falter.




With so much on the line can anyone be trusted? I think NOT.

His father sends someone to help him, but Cash decides to take matters in to his own hands when it concerns Olivia's life. He calls Gavin. Someone he's known for years who also helps him manage Duel. Gavin has a background as a mercenary, he is smart and has the experience Cash needs in order to keep Olivia safe.



Of course things don't go as always planned.

I won't go to far in to the plot because I don't want to spill spoilers. I will say this.. The book is filled with sexy moments that will leave you salivating and squirming in your seat horny as HELL.

My Thoughts
In all honesty plot wise I thought the book was okay, I predicted one of the twist early on and was not shocked as I read it play out. I was kinda pissed at Olivia and her doubts with Cash. I guess in her position I could understand it but she let Taryn get in her head a little and that just made me mad.

Dear readers this book gets a 3.5 star rating because the plot was not as attention grabbing as it was the first time around for me. Plus I figured out a twist. HOWEVER Cash was so HOT that I gave it 4 stars on the Goodreads star rating system.

I'm trying to pick up the pieces of my blown mind and figure out, how to write a review without giving the whole plot away. I'll probably have it ready by afternoon because in addition, I have to survive the Sunday family lunch (THE WHOLE family: 15-20 members!!!!).... LMAO!!!

Late afternoon
My review will focus on the relationship between Cash and Olivia. The suspense aspect of this story was amazing, full of twist and turns but I can't adress it fully without spoilers. HUGE SPOILERS! M. Leighton delivered an action packed story that I didn't expect and lead us in a whole new direction! AWESOME!



I'll tell you only this! It lives up to its title: Bad Boys Series.
Sweet God, I warn you all this delicious testosterone...


ENOUGH SAID!!

Now to our favourite couple: Olivia Townsend and Cash Davenport.

Happily ever after doesn’t come easy. But for love, it’s always worth the fight.

In this book they are together. But it isn't always roses and rainbows...

Olivia is her usual sarcastic and sassy self,
“Ovaries beat out testicles in speed shower match.” I roll my eyes at my inane train of thought. I think my mother must’ve taken drugs when I was in utero. That’s surely the only explanation.

but she struggles with her decision. Did she made a mistake in trusting Cash? Does he love her? Will he leave her?

She still thinks I’m one of her typical bad boy mistakes. Vaguely, I wonder if I’ll ever be able to do enough or say enough or show her enough that I’m not like that. At least not in the ways that count.

Cash is a bad, bad, perfect boy. He sees the struggle in Olivia. But he doubts himself too. He hasn't loved before and doesn't recognise the feeling.

“If I tell you ‘I love you’ it’s because I mean it, not because it’s an expected response.” Did he tell me he loves me? Or did he tell me that if he loved me, he’d mean it? Or was he just giving me some background on his I love you M.O.?

He lost his family and worries about Olivia's safety. Can he keep her unharmed or his father's sins will forever haunt him?

Those two thickheaded individuals are perfect for each other and when they realise it, they are stronger than ever!

“If it was up to me, I’d make the world disappear and it would be just us. Just you and me.”



The whole gang is amazing and the additions, were exactly what this story needed. The humour was beyond amazing and the lines kept coming...

“But in every other way, I find him to be a nice guy. He’s just a nice guy that would kill you if you crossed him or his friends or family. That’s all.”

The end leaves you settled for now BUT it is still a cliffhanger. Nothing is really resolved and I can feel the danger breathing down my neck...

Humour, action, twisty turns (LOL!), sexy HAWT scenes. WHY HAVEN'T YOU READ THESE BOOKS YET???

THE LONGEST REVIEW OF MY LIFE:

I know I'm in the minority here, but so far this book kinda sucks. Proof that plot and characters can defy logic and common sense and still get high ratings.

I'm almost done and I'm tired of being reminded that Cash's POV is a guy's POV with thoughts like:

"As a guy, I totally approve."

"But, then again, I'm a guy. What the hell do I know?"

"Guys don't sit around and talk about that girlie shit . . ."

"All of us men have our egos . . ."

I'm just waiting for him to say, "Look at my penis, I'm a real boy!"

WE GET IT M.Leighton! You're writing a guy's POV!

AND of course you have it chocked full of bad boy cliches where he's thinking how he really cares about Olivia but he needs to keep an emotional distance because she could be a weakness. But at the same time he's having all these contradictory thoughts about wanting to touch her to know she's safe and thinking everything about her is perfect and adorable.

Readers eat this shit up, which is why such a mediocre book has high ratings.

And let's not forget Olivia, stupid girl that she is. She's having all the overdone and overwritten insecure thoughts of the girl that falls for the "bad boy". Mostly she's just immature with lots of "he's gonna hurt my fweeings and break my poor little fragile heart, but I just can't resist his bad boy dick."

But she couldn't just stay stupid, she had to go and turn too stupid to live. What part of the mob wants to kill your ass do you not understand? "I'm going to class, 'cause, 'cause, just 'cause I am and nothing will stop me!"

And what happens?

SPOILER ALERT!

Her TSTL ass gets kidnapped by the mob! How did this happen?

MORE SPOILERS!!!!

Yeah, Cash's brother Nash isn't really dead. Instead he's all hot and angry and sunglasses and leathered out. And where has he been hiding all these years? Well, he was FORCED (his words) to work as a criminal on a gun smuggling ship where he'd be out to sea for months. I thought ships were faster than than nowadays? What was he doing? Crossing the Atlantic in a raft? Anyways, he was FORCED! Yeah, 'cause that was his only option to hide from the Russian mob. They're not the freakin' CIA!

Why was it important that Cash think Nash was dead all these years? Um, 'cause it's more dramatic for the book? What's the point of Cash believing Nash was dead if no one else did? (Hello, for 7 years Cash was living a double life so no one would think Nash was dead! This was his father's idea, too!) And I know Nash had that video, but the mob never imagined the video even existed, so why did Nash have to go into hiding?

MORE STUPID SHIT: For Cash being a bad boy and seasoned conman, Nash being a hardened criminal and Gavin being a badass ex-mercenary, they may just be Too Stupid To Protect (TSTP) the TSTL girl. I mean, really, the mob wants to kidnap and/or kill Olivia, and their idea is to hide her out at her mom's house an hour away? Yeah, 'cause they'll never find her there!

AND why doesn't Cash (Nash) ever go to his day job? He IS a lawyer, after all. Or is he just missing court dates and appointments left and right? Isn't he supposed to be working on his cases?

ON a more personal note: I have a twin brother named Adam (my name is April) but at least our names don't rhyme! What kind of idiots name their twins Nash and Cash? If my parents had named me and my twin Jim and Kim, I'd have been so embarrassed! Might as well have named them Thing 1 and Thing 2 for all the distinction and effort you put into it.

Oh my god, I'm on the last ten pages and Cash thinks, "Being the guy that I am . . ." I get it! I get it! You're a dude! This is a dude's POV!

And is it just me or does this author have an anal fixation. There was a lot of knots in asses, up his/her ass, butt puckering. WTF?

Well, at least the sex scenes are well written . . . though I'm surprised with all the talk of asses that there was no anal play.

Now, Nash gets to take the lead in Book 3 and I'm really hoping Marissa isn't going to be his "heroine". Besides the fact that she was screwing Cash in book 1 and Olivia got her cousin's leftovers, she was a royal bitch (I don't care if being kidnapped supposedly changed her or not). Plus, does the real Nash really want Cash's leftovers. "Hey bro, this is Marissa, the cold bitch I was screwing when I was pretending to be you. Your turn."

Meh... and I had such high hopes for this one!

I was really looking forward to this one because I enjoyed the first one, Down to You so much. Up to Me just seemed to be missing something in my opinion. The plot is so different and I found my connection to the story and the characters was lacking.

What I liked: Pretty much what made the book for me were the men!!! Cash was just as hot, well actually much HOTTER in this one. He was protective and showed he is pretty much a bad ass. Lots of dirty talk and sexy time. The sex scenes were very frequent and very, very steamy!

And the new addition, GAVIN! "Holy furry crap balls! He’s gorgeous!" I love him! I really hope he gets his own book, that is definitely a book I will read! Him and Cash were pretty funny together too :)

“I never figured you for the sexual harassment type, Gavin,” Cash says, coming to a stop at the bar beside Gavin. Although his tone is light and playful, Cash’s expression is anything but. Gavin leans an elbow on the bar and turns to Cash. “You’ve never had an employee worth harassing before,” he teases, looking over to wink at me. “But this one might be worth losing my job over.” “Oh, you’d lose more than your job if you ever laid a hand on her. Trust me.”

What I didn't like so much: Olivia. She drove me a little crazy. I liked her in Down to You but she got on my nerves with her constant questioning of Cash's motives and feelings.

There is constant mention of Cash's "bad boy" status. Back and forth about how Cash is more than a bad boy, then maybe he really is just a bad boy... At times it felt like it was a book about the stereotyping and unfair treatment of bad boys. It got to be a little much.

"Cash’s cover might be that of a bad boy, but the book, the inside is so much more."

"She still thinks I’m one of her typical bad boy mistakes. Vaguely, I wonder if I’ll ever be able to do enough or say enough or show her enough that I’m not like that. At least not in the ways that count. Or will she always compare me to them? If she does, she’ll always find similarities. But will she see the differences? And will they be enough"

"Subconsciously, I’ve chosen men who would prove me right about the worthlessness of a bad boy, rather than bring to light my own shortcomings, my own fears."

Bottom line is that I just didn't connect with the story, the characters, or the emotion in the book like I wanted to. I give Cash & Gavin a 4, but the story a 2 (it's not the idea, more the execution to me). So, I'm going with 2 stars, but just barely, the more I think about it, maybe 2.5. If it hadn't been such a short, quick read, it probably would have been lower. I'll still give the next one a shot. I'm curious where the big twist that was revealed That is another thing that bothered me. The twist was really obvious to me before I started, that Nash was going to be alive. But then nothing is really done with it during the book. I know she is setting up book 3 to be his book, but he better not end up with Marissa! Ewww! I can just see that coming... early in the book will go. Since it really doesn't go anywhere in this one.

I think I may be in the minority here, but I enjoyed this book much more than the first. The heroine–whose insecurities became somewhat exasperating and tedious–ended up much more endearing in this follow-up story. As for Cash...well...he's just as delicious in this book as he was in the first. This story had some fun plot twists, a lot of action and adventure, and a generous amount of steamy love scenes. There's no doubt the author took major liberties with reality and needed to spend more time with editing (my reason for the 3 star rating...shoddy editing. I will no longer reward authors with high ratings when they don't produce their best work for the consumer). That said, I had fun reading this book. While Olivia and Cash's personal love story is nicely wrapped up with a bow–just how I like it–the author left an intriguing cliffhanger for the next book and its new leading man.

One Word. Cash! And you would think I could never get enough of that gorgeous, dirty talking, sex god but put him together with Olivia and the book just sizzles! They are hot!

Unfortunately, the book isn't all about them just being together and their relationship. Instead it's pretty deep in the whole mystery of who killed some of Cash's family...people being kidnapped, hidden ledgers and secret videos. And for that I had to deduct a star...not that it wasn't interesting but I felt it really took up too much time.

I did enjoy Olivia and Cash though...did I say that already? ;) Wow...there were really some hot scenes and Cash's mouth is dirty, dirty, dirty!! I loved it. The best scene?

Some of their inner dialog was killing me though but it was good that both of them went through the process to where they came out.

And we get a couple of new comers...Gavin, Mr. Down Under, and Mystery Man. Both are very interesting and I'm looking forward to more of them in the next book.

Speaking of the next book...what in the heck was up with the ending? It had me questioning all sorts of things...even 'My' sweet dirty talker!! Guess I'm gonna have to wait to find out! Until then Cash...I'll miss you!! ♥

Cash and Olivia...talk about a couple who don't know where they stand with each other! Since finding out that Cash and Nash are one and the same, Olivia is confused as to who she really ended up with...the sexy entrepreneur playboy or the responsible, controlling, equally sexy lawyer. Just who is Cash? Well, I'm here to tell you...he's a god in bed...and on the bar, and in public restrooms...and in the shower, against the wall....AHEM! You get the picture. The man loves to boink, and Olivia has no objections.

Now, I can see this book getting completely ripped apart by those who like to pick at the little pieces. It's so full of plot holes, it looks like it's been used for target practice. Even in book one, which was simply an intriguing contemporary romance until the last little bit...the whole man with two lives was a bit farfetched. To go so far as to be banging Olivia's cousin when he was pretending to be Nash and then coming back to Olivia was a bit much for me. But in this installment, the suspense is prevalent throughout...which means fast motorcycle rides, gunshots, chases, kidnappings, stabbings, and Russian gangsters. And not once do the police get involved!

I honestly think I was just in the mood to really enjoy another pure fantasy book, just like I did with book one. Nothing at all realistic about this story. But it's chock full of hot guys...Cash and a couple other studly do-rights, damsels in distress, smoking hot sex and foreplay, and TRUE LOVE!!!

So I enjoyed the ride while it lasted. In fact, I enjoyed the hell out of it. Leighton cracks some witty jokes, gives a couple of shout outs to some eighties rock gods...(Bon Jovi, anyone?), and puts together a really great cast of characters. Ginger, the old cougar best friend who wants nothing more than to jump Cash's naked self, Olivia's complete bitch of a mother that should have been sterilized long ago, and Cash's sudden best friend and bar manager Gavin, who doubles as a badass ninja backup. (Not really, just the image in my head) Cash and Olivia have a fun relationship...neither are at all stuck up...they are both very down to earth and joke around often...sometimes acting endearingly pervy and other times crude, but always funny.

This was completely readable, sexy as all get out, and I imagine if you like the first, you'll like this one too. Even though it has a completely different feel. It was still very engaging. Though I'm wondering what can be told in a third book. Seems like this wrapped up pretty nicely!

For a sequel, this one sucked. Sorry I can't think of a better adjective because at about 60% all I kept thinking was how this book sucked. With all the inner dialogue and Olivia's insecurities, "does he love? does he not?" UGH! Seriously, you are in your 20s and you question his feelings like you are in high school???!!!! I have read YA books that had the female MC more secure in her relationship with the "bad" boy than Olivia.

The sex was hot in the beginning, but at 60%, I got bored, I did not care anymore about Olivia. If I am not emotionally attached to the characters or the relationship, it is just words describing sex.

I wanted more tension. Something could have been thrown in there. I loved the first book because there was sexual tension and other drama. The mafia drama was not enough for me to get me through the second book. I originally thought with the new twist early in the book that we were going to go somewhere interesting with the story, but it was a let down.

I will probably read book #3 just to see how it all ends...maybe if the book is on sale. Not spending $3.99 on the third book.

This review is probably going to be on the short side because I don’t want to spoil the story for anyone. Up to Me is a 5 Star read full of action, twists, shocking secrets, and lots of romantic & steamy scenes between Cash and Olivia <3 You won’t want to put it down!

Cash and Olivia have finally decided to cave into their feelings for one another and explore a relationship. Olivia wants to keep their relationship a secret because she doesn’t want his other employees to think she is receiving special treatment because she is dating the boss. She is also still dealing with her insecurities when it comes to Cash. She is struggling to overcome the mindset that Cash will end up hurting her because of his bad boy reputation but she has finally accepted her feelings for him and is willing to give him a try anyway.

"He's everywhere. He's on my skin, under my skin, in my heart, in my soul"



Cash is looking forward to the new direction in his life that a relationship with Olivia will bring. When his past comes back to haunt him and puts him and Olivia in serious danger, Cash must figure the best plan of action to keep everyone safe. Unfortunately, nothing ever works out as planned and Cash’s life as he knows it is turned upside down when lies and secrets are revealed.

Overall, I loved this story just as much as Down to You. The action, suspense, romance, and twists kept me completely hooked!

This is going to be a shortish review... Don’t want to spoil anything. These books are full of twists and turns and there was another huge surprise in this one! I was shocked... again! Wow... of all things I didn’t expect to see Nash- alive! 

This book starts right where Down to You left off.... you most definitely have to read Down to You before jumping into this one! Olivia annoyed me a bit in the beginning, but I was happy with her by the end of the story. Cash is as hot as ever! The ultimate sexy bad-boy! The Cash and Olivia scenes were majorly hot, as expected- shot of Jack anyone? :D There was action, suspense and some unexpected surprises! I was ultimately happy with the ending Everything seems good with Cash and Olivia, not sure if there story is over or what will happen with them in the next book No real cliffhanger, but they are not completely out of the woods yet. I guess we will have to wait until book 3 to see how it all turns out!

I feel like all I have to say is...Cash Davenport and that should sell this book. Am I right? If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting Cash yet, well you're just plain missing out. In the second installment of The Bad Boys Series, Cash delivers some serious heat and made me fall in love with him even more.

In all honesty, if you've read Down to You, you know Cash's back story, so I can't really say much in this review because there is A LOT of information given about the situation with his father. And let me tell you....there is a pretty big WHOPPER of a surprise thrown in too!

I will tell you this...Olivia and Cash are a solid couple. I was so happy to see them happily together throughout this book. Naturally, like in all new relationships, there are uncertainties and insecurities, but Cash is really good about making Olivia feel treasured. As I mention above, Cash brings the heat in this book. On several occasions, I was squirming in my seat. H.O.T. There is a certain scene that involves Cash and Olivia in the "private room" at the club, and some whiskey. Let's just say this particular scene had my panties on FIRE! So, um, yeah....I loved it.

Let's discuss Marissa. I HATED her in the first book. She's Olivia's cousin and just really a plain snot. However, with the way Down to You ended, we had an idea that Marissa would be involved in this book. Well, I was pleasantly surprised with how my feelings for her changed a bit in this book. I'm not a total convert yet, but I see her character changing for the better.

Then there is Gavin. OH MY. I think I would like my very own Gavin. Gavin is Cash's best friend and he's also worked with Cash's father in the past. Cash trusts Gavin and I will tell you that Gavin certainly proves to be bad ass and sexy. YUM.

Ginger. Yep. Love her. Want more of her.

Overall, I loved it! Whenever I read a book by M. Leighton, I know I will get a quality story. These characters she has created are likable, you feel like you know them, and you really get sucked into the story. Oh and the ending... M. Leighton has left us on the edge. I'm panting for the next book in this series. You'll understand what I mean when you read this one! It's sure to be excellent!

I absolutely love this series and cannot wait to read Everything for Us!

In this book, Cash and Olivia are together, but Olivia wants to keep their relationship a secret from the others at Duel because she doesn't want others thinking she's getting special treatment because she is with Cash. Cash doesn't care if their relationship is out in the open, but is trying to respect Olivia's wishes.

Olivia is having doubts as to whether or not Cash feels as deeply for her as she feels for him thanks to the bitch bartender Taryn that is saying all the right things to make Olivia doubt Cash and this is not a time for her to not have complete trust in Cash. These doubts couldn't have come at a worse time.

As you know if you read Down to You, during the epilogue there was a man that had broken into Olivia and Marissa's (Olivia's cousin) house and was there to kidnap Olivia when she returned. I won't tell you what exactly happens, but I will say that someone IS kidnapped and taken hostage fairly early in the book. Someone else is kidnapped later in the book as well. The people who are doing this are part of the Russian mob that framed Cash's father for the death of Cash's mom after their boat was blown up. Cash has accounting ledgers that his father had given him 7 years prior before he was arrested and has had them ever since. The Russian mob wants these ledgers back and they will do anything and everything to get them from Cash, even if it means using those that are close to him to force him to hand them over.

This book is a roller coaster of events. There is kidnappings, assassins, ex-mercenaries, Russian mob, lies, deception, blackmail, some steamy love scenes between Cash and Olivia and a HUGE twist that shocks Cash! This twist makes him question everything that's happened for the last 7 years and also makes him feel as though his father has deceived him by keeping a very important piece of information from him all these years and he doesn't understand why he was left out of this huge detail and what really happened the day his mother and brother were supposed to have been blown up on the boat!

I won't say anymore because I don't want to give to much away. In this book, Cash is having to depend on people he doesn't trust and some shocking people are brought into the situation to help out. Loyalties will be tested. The truth will be revealed.

Will everyone survive this dramatic and highly dangerous story? Where will everyone's loyalties be when all this new information comes out? Can you really trust and depend on those who you never expected would ever lie to you? You'll have to read the book to find out what happens!

If you haven't read this series yet, I suggest you do so! You are missing out on a fantastic series if you haven't read these books yet!

Cash and Olivia have established they are now together. But things aren’t as solid between them as they would like it to be. Olivia still has her insecurities about dating a bad boy who might possibly hurt her. Not to mention all the baggage that comes with being with Cash. And let me tell you, it’s a lot of dangerous baggage. Cash is the epitome of bad boys but he is trying really hard to fix things. Not only for his father, who is in jail, but to keep Olivia safe. This is not simple when dealing with the Russian mafia.

And Cash is not without his own insecurities. She makes him feel things he’s never felt before: happy, possessive, uncontrollable urges to be with her. For Cash, admitting how he feels about Olivia is hard. He can’t seem to say the words that would solidify their relationship. Actually, neither one can seem to say how they feel. But it’s obvious they both have completely and utterly fallen for one another.

Let’s just go ahead and start with what you really want to know…HOLY SEX-O-LISCIOUS! Even though words may fail them, they have no problem expressing how they feel with their bodies. This book is short, but it’s jammed packed with lots and lots of sexy times. I think Olivia and Cash have sex at least five billion times in two days. Okay, I’m kidding. But it was definitely loaded with some kinky, smoldering sex scenes. I will never look at a bottle of Jack Daniels the same. Actually, I may start drinking Jack Daniels after reading this book. I definitely wanted a drink and a cigarette (I don’t even smoke!) after reading this book.

Besides all the sexy times, I highly enjoyed the sweet and tender moments between Cash and Olivia. Even with all their trust issues and doubts, they really do want to be with each other. In any new relationship, especially one that comes with so much baggage, there are going to be problems to work through. And once they work through their issues out on the bar, in bed, in the shower, against the wall…they both finally come to terms with the way they feel. I really do love this couple together.

Unfortunately, the plot didn’t really hold my interest as well as the first book did. Don’t get me wrong, I highly enjoyed the suspense and romance. It was action packed and there was a shocking twist that I totallynever saw coming. I’m stoked about this twist. However, there were a few things that were wrapped up a little too quickly and too tidy, which made the plot somewhat unbelievable. And then Olivia makes a rash decision that could’ve gotten her killed. I think during that moment Olivia had a severe case of ‘too stupid to learn’ syndrome. I seriously groaned out load by her irrational decision. I was not buying her logic and excuse as to why she did what she did. Even though she made a ridiculous mistake, it was worth the excitement of seeing Cash and Gavin in action.

Let’s talk about Gavin – my new infatuation. Gavin works as a bartender at The Dual for Cash. He used to be a mercenary. He’s Cash’s best friend who willingly helps Cash out of a bad situation. I don’t think bad boy is even the correct way to describe this sexy, dangerous, mysterious man. And have I mentioned he has an Aussie accent? Swoon. I am completely and utterly smitten with this man. Ladies, I’m claiming Gavin. I really hope he gets his own book.

Up to Me is a fun and exciting blend of hot sex, witty banter, drama, shocking twists, sexy new characters, lots of action, and very bad guys. I will not be missing out on the third book. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what Miz Leighton comes up with next for these characters. Of course, I do know who the third book is about… But, you won’t find out who it is until you read Up to Me, because I’m not going to spoil you.

I was spinning after reading this book. Down to You was awesome and one of my favorite reads from 2012, however Up to Me is twice as good and boy does she deliver.

Down to You is definitely an introduction compared to Up to Me. In Up to Me, Olivia is still unsure about her feelings towards Cash. Deep down I know she loves him but is so terrified of falling into old habits with the "bad" boys. At the end of Down to You I knew Cash was more than just a bad boy. There was a lot more to him than just that. We get to see his protective side towards Olivia and what he is willing to do to keep her safe.

Michelle takes us on an adventure. We gain a lot of insight into the organization his father was involved with and there are a crap load of twists and turns along the way.

I had several "Oh crap" moments. I was never expecting things to happen that happened. Never! I have NEVER been so surprised in a book before. I was messaging Michelle right after with, "what just happened?" Never saw it coming...

The dialogue between Cash, Olivia and Marissa is particularly funny. I laughed out loud I don't know how many times! One in particular she says," makes my butt pucker." I seriously cracked up several times throughout the book. However, there were also several sweet and tender moments that made me love Cash even more.

We are introduced to new characters who frankly need, no MUST have a book of their own as well as a character you couldn't stand in the last book and end up liking.

One of the last "moments" between Cash and Olivia is an OMG. I specifically commented on how absolutely perfect it was and if I could trade places with Olivia I would have in a New York minute. It was absolute perfection. The steam between Olivia and Cash is beyond boiling and boy does she give us some great scenes.

How she does it I will never know. Michelle is truly amazing. It's been a week since I finished and I am still thinking & reeling about it. The only booger of it all is the wait for book 3 which I will be chewing my nails in anticipation for. One of the BEST series out there!!

We’ve been looking forward to this sequel after Cash and Nash burst onto our horizons last year in Down To You.

Happily ever after doesn’t come easy. But for love, it’s always worth the fight.

Well, if Down To You was fairly light hearted erotic romance, then Up To Me is a far more angsty romantic suspense. It’s still very erotic with some wonderful sex scenes between Olivia and Cash but his traumatic past will come roaring back into their lives to threaten their fragile happiness. This book’s not so much about the romance between them, more of a fairly action-packed thriller.

As with Down To You, there’s an incredible plot twist that I really didn’t see coming at all. I’m not going to give it away but it definitely sets up the rest of the Bad Boys series with the introduction of a couple more drooltastic potential book boyfriends. This won’t work as a stand alone either – it is essential to read the first book, Down To You.

Cash & Olivia are back with Olivia still having a few ‘bad boy’ doubts about Cash and he is still trying to convince her with mind-blowing orgasms that he’s actually one of the good guys. Hey Cash – I need some convincing too!! As danger looms large on the horizon for Olivia, Cash drafts in his Aussie friend Gavin to help protect her and I had a bit of thing for Gavin with his shit-eating grin and Aussie drawl. I’m really hoping that he’s going to get a book of his own in the not so distant future.

Olivia’s in danger and Cash is terrified that, now he’s found her, she’s going to be taken from him so he packs her off to her Mothers for safety with Gavin. He’d better watch out – she is a total Monster In Law in waiting. She’s a horrific character – I hated her as much as I hated Marissa in the first book, if not more. She’s opinionated and judgmental and really not the kind of influence Olivia needs in her life right now that she is learning to accept her overwhelming feelings for Cash.

Marissa is back too and even appears to have had a total personality transplant by the end of the book. I’m not sure if she’s being set up as a potential book heroine of the future with this – she’s a pretty hard sell but time will tell.

So, overall a thumping good suspense with, as expected, some steamy action between the sheets or wherever they consider appropriate or inappropriate as the case may be!! I did enjoy this but not quite as much as the first book.

I really believe this is the case with this book. I just couldn't get into it. I liked the first one so much will all of the sexual tension and of course the obvious reveal; but it was still all good. I love the bossy badass hot alpha males, especially Cash but Olivia got on my last nerve. Get some confidence, girl.
The whole mafia suspense element kinda bored me as well.

Happy note... the sex scenes kept me going until the bitter end!

Wrapped up in him, in his bad boy ways and his good guy heart, is my whole world. Somehow, while I wasn't looking, I fell. And I fell hard.

Cash is even more yummier in this one then that last. He sacrifice's so much for his family. He has so much heart.

I liked Olivia more in the first book then this one. I had a couple of problems with her in this book. She seemed to questioned her feelings for Cash all the time. Shit if you have your regrets then I will sure take him off your hands. I's only fair. :)

I am not going to go into all the details of this book. Cause once again it will just ruin everything . There are some twist and a litter turns. Then my God there is even more bigger twist. I was speechless, excited, mouth hanging open.... Yeah that about sums it up on all the little twist and turns my friends.

I love all the characters. There are some new ones brought in. And I quite enjoyed them. The story is eating me up especially the ending. I am ready for the next book and cannot stop thinking about it. Guess it's another one to add to my count down.

All you need to know is to read this series. :)

UP TO ME, the second book in Leighton's "Bad Boys series" did not take a chill pill -- it was hotter than the first book. With each page the relationship grows stronger between the h/h and their chemistry sizzles, along with some additional action-packed scenes this go-round with the mafia. Included are some twists and turns and a surprise package that I felt might be delivered sooner or later. And a bonus gorgeous and scene-stealing character named Gavin, who is guaranteed to make you squirm. This reader is hoping for much more of Mr. G in the Book 3.

Without giving away the secrets to this series, suffice it to say that I love these books and am captivated by the cast of characters. The plot is well-done and keeps your attention every step of the way.

The second book burned bright, was even better than the first, and I can't wait for the third charmer!!

Ho sperato con tutta me stessa che la storia potesse migliorare.
Speranze buttate al vento, ovviamente, e quello che mi fa più rabbia è che questo volume è leggermente meglio del precedente. Almeno c’è un barlume di movimento, almeno ci sono delle piccolissime novità che non rendono la storia del tutto statica, cioè del tutto concentrata sulle prodezze amorose di Olivia e del suo Bad Boy Cash, volevo dire…
Ma che succede se l’autrice decide di focalizzarsi soprattutto sulle paturnie amorose e sessuali dei due innamorati e non magari sull’azione? (che poi innamorati, davvero?… sarebbe meglio dire arrapati, ma sorvoliamo…) NON succede NIENTE, anzi succede che il libro è una mega accozzaglia di cavolate, succede che non c’è spessore, che alla fine la lettura comincia ad annoiare e tanto, ecco che succede!
Olivia e Cash sono ricercati dalla mafia russa ma invece di concentrarsi su un possibile piano (logico e credibile) sono impegnati a scopare come conigli e porsi questioni talmente stupide da far venire l’urticaria anche ad un cactus (tipo: mi ama? Mi ha detto che mi ama o mi ha preso in giro? Posso credergli? Io lo amo?... NO MA, ci sarebbe la mafia che vi sta cercando per farvi fuori, voi continuate pure a friggervi il cervello con queste fesserie! -.-)
Il ritorno del figliol prodigo (Nash) poteva risollevare le sorti di questa storia… nada de nada,l’autrice sorvola alla grande e si lascia sfuggire l’occasione perfetta… -.-
Però, in compenso, sul finale riesce a focalizzare l’attenzione del lettore proprio su Nash, il protagonista del terzo volume, ed a suscitare la mia curiosità.
Vedremo…

Hmmm, I'm not sure what I think about this...

I loved Cash & Olivia together. I loved their dialogue. Olivia was so stressed about falling for 'bad boys' in the first book, but thank goodness she realizes that Cash is nothing like that. He would and sort of does everything to keep her safe. There is a bit of sexy time as well in this book and phew, the scene in the VIP room is hot!

It's the whole plot and motivation for 'the twist' that has me baffled. I may have to go read that bit again. If Nash was alive, why did he go into hiding... why did Cash have to live double lives, why didn't Nash just come back and live his own life?

I also don't find the animosity between the two brother believable. The whole reunion is just way to 'cold' and they barely talk. Really, you thought you brother was dead for 7 years and when you see him you don't ask each other questions. I dunno, maybe I just need some time to process this one.

Now that I have that out of the way ...

Up to Me was awesome!
Although there were a few lulls, the scenes between Cash and Olivia more than made up for it :) and the twist and turns Whew!. Sitting there like I had all the answers and I knew what was going to happen and then BAM!



I don't want to say much more as to give anything away. All in all great book and would recommend to anyone.

The Review:
How disappointing it is to be excited about an upcoming book, wait for its release, immediately get that book the moment its out then drop everything else and start reading that book… just to wonder if Im reading the book I was anxiously awaiting or did I accidentally stumble onto a poorly written fan fiction? That’s how I felt about Up To Me. After reading the first book in the series, Down To You and its eyebrow-raising cliffy, I was excited to learn there would soon be a book two. I put it on my TBR list and checked and re-checked the release date to make sure I got it the second it was out.

But what happened?

Story/Characters:
In the first book we learn that things with Cash and Nash Davenport aren’t as they seem. A dark tragedy has visited the Davenport family, leaving it shattered. Olivia Townsend stumbles across the brothers and finds herself drawn to them, each for different reasons. But her history with bad boys keeps her from giving herself fully to either one. Book two picks up right where book one left off. The circumstances surrounding the tragedy of the Davenport family comes full circle when history tries to repeat itself and the bad guys are coming, fully intent on cleaning house and taking prisoners! Olivia, having come to terms with her bad boy anxiety, decides Cash is worth the risk and they head into this adventure creating lots of steamy scenes and the possibility of a heart-throbbing romance.

The whole idea of where this story could go was what drew me in and had me excited for the second book. But what fails to happen, is the grand adventure I was expecting. The author bogs the reader down with Olivia’s inner prattle about whether she should really fall for the bad boy again or if she should cut her losses and run. It was a repeat from the first book. Her constant drivel was in EVERY chapter, paragraph and sentence. Even during the apex of the story, she was blubbering to herself about whether or not she could love her bad boy! Seriously? I think she had more crucial things to worry about than if her feelings would get hurt or if Cash was going to go riding off into the sunset with the next busty blond to cross his path. Her insecurities and jealousy were a HUGE turn off. And if that wasn’t bad enough, she made the classic idiotic 80’s movie mistake that all females made before Hollywood reduced their bra size and gave them a brain and backbone. You NEVER ride off on your own! Ugg!

The plot kept getting lost in all the ramblings and hesitancy of Olivia and Cash. There was no character growth at all from book one to book two.

Also, I want to bring up that fact that the author tried to redeem Marissa towards the end of this story so she can be a lead in book three. This.Did.NOT.WORK! The author did such a great job of making you dislike her character in book one that her complete one-eighty and her “ah-ha” moment meant nothing to me. I have no desire to read a romance between her and anyone, especially between her and Nash who I immediately disliked in this book. If I pick up book three, it will only be because I’d like to know how the story ends, but I won’t be waiting, counting the days for its release.

Pass me a Save, Please!
What saved this book from getting fewer stars was Cash! That man was OMG Yummy! From his confident swagger and all out commando heroics to his fantasy-perfect bedroom talk, he was what kept me turning the pages. In book one, I fell in love with his cocky, man-tastic charms, and they were doubly delicious in this book. The sexy was amped up and was very much appreciated! I will be having some jaw-dropping fantasies staring Cash Davenport and I have NO PROBLEMS with that ;)

Also, I loved the addition of Gavin. He was super hot and I would LOVE to see him in a future book with his own story. The author gave him a well of background and character development to draw from to lead his own story. Oh and did I mention he was HOT?!? Just saying...

The Wrap Up:
*Insert Sad Face Here…* I wish this book had of lived up to my expectations but it just didn’t. It lacked story and it lacked character growth. AND, it left off with another cliffy which I wouldn’t have minded except the change in lead characters in book three isn’t one I’m excited to read.
