-this book has been on my TBR for quite a while and finally decided to give it a read. -enjoyed this book! -Love that it is set in my home province of Manitoba -this is book 1 of a 7 book series
This was quick, and sweet, and I loved that it's set in Manitoba (where I'm from). the couple was cute and I enjoyed their bonding over finding out about Ever.
What a beautiful story! It was a sad start. Not having the support of a parent for a life decision whether good or bad is always hard. Going home is also hard after that length of time. I enjoyed the love story as well. So nice to read a story that has a happy thread from start to finish. I look forward to reading more Primrose stories.
The preface grabbed my attention right away, and while the story and the dialogue could use a little more polishing, it is a nice Prairie story with lots of beautiful imagery.
A steamy romance of Ben and Ever took place in Canada in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Ever’s father passed away so she left her life/job in Toronto, Ontario. She arrived at her family farm and met the farm hand Ben who she had an instant connection to. He helped her sort some things out on the farm, all the while spending more and more time together. The two ran the farm. Ever’s plan was to return to her life in Toronto but was finding it hard to leave once summer was over because she got so attached to Ben. They started dating, and then it got more serious. They both wanted the same things and clicked instantly. Ever went back to Toronto leaving a note for Ben, without saying good bye. She had an art show in Toronto and he showed up and proposed on one knee.. a couple years later they had 3 children a set of twin girls and a boy. A great story, I thoroughly enjoyed it..

I accidentally read book 2 before 1 but I don’t think it really made a difference. Like the other, this is an easy read, traditional contemporary romance. The author does a good job of getting you invested in the characters. I’ll probably read more by this author when I’m looking for something that doesn’t require a huge time investment.
This book was recommended to me for my read across Canada challenge for Manitoba.
It was a cute story, but I didn't think it had enough tension or conflict. There was some but not enough for me. I found my mind wandering while I read it. Not in a "this book was boring" kind of way, more in a "this book is not providing me with an escape" type of way.
This book is highly rated (mainly 4 & 5 ⭐️) so I know that people have loved this book & series and there will be more people that will love it. I'm just not one of them, it isn't for me.
Overall, it was an okay read but I won't be continuing on with the series.
