Bonsart Bokel's"The casket girls" is really a good read, going into his association of iskal world with no prior knowledge, the world set up on this book wasvery descriptive, visual and vivid.
The words really paint a clear picture, and the desctiptions realy made it clear how the worlds militarized parts work.
The happenings in the first 3 chapters give you a great feeling for the "lay of the land"
The art is nice, and fits the writing style.
The characters really feel real, they fit the world, they are part of the world, the world doesn't evolve around them like how in some books the world seems to be waiting for the mc's to show up and do stuff so that the world can continue going, things happen "off page" and like in the start of chapter 3, these things are mentioned in letters, that do more then just give exposition, they give a feel of how its society works, and how background characters moraly are.
So... after this praise, why not 5 stars?
I had to deduct 1 star for some things i myself had some problems with. Its hard to put in words for me, without throwing people off, or make potential readers and potential fans from this really short novel (under 200 pages)
Having finished it, i am looking forward to the main books in the world...
Yes. It was that good and introduction.
I even feel, the way it is writen would work realy well as a cartoon/anime for adults..
