Read all ten books if you like the first one. Good read about family ,friends and love..

Excellent!

This whole series is just wonderful. The Wheeler family are portrayed with such great personalities that Annie Cabot makes them feel like part of your family. She has made each person in the Wheeler family come alive in each their own way, making such wonderful characteristics for each family member. You really must read all ten books, each is more captivating than the previous book. I hope there are at least ten more books in this series!!! I will be there the minute they come out!!

I love series books. You know the characters and their lives. At one point I was going to stop reading these books, but I knew I couldn't. I really like this family. I'm so glad I changed my mind. This book has a few story lines in it. One daughter wants to quit her job as an attorney and it is tormenting her. She goes to Captiva to get some motherly advise. I wish I could be Maggie with all her wisdom.

I have enjoyed the stories

Having spent many vacations on the islands, I enjoy mention of places I have been.

However, at times I get frustrated with lack of accuracy

They never mention the No-See-Ums, as they enjoy the beautiful sunsets

They zip around the island, and go off island with no mention of traffic jams

Somehow the workers at the Inn, can work there and afford to live on the island

Growing with the Wheeler Family

I've read every book in this series and I love growing with the Wheeler family as they have gone through so many changes. Maggie is such a thoughtful character, always doing nice things for others. I plan to visit Captive Island one day and I especially want to go to the Bubble Room.

inconsistencies

As I've moved thru this series I notice what I might call sloppy inconsistencies. In book 10, there were two scenes where Lauren was drinking alcohol while pregnant. I enjoy the series and they are quick enjoyable reads. The inconsistencies bother me.

Glad Maagie, Beth and Lauren are coming to terms went their issues. At what point does Maggie get over her issues internally and with her mom? Maggie is much more manipulating and bothersome than Grandma Sarah. Grr. Her character is irritating
