Hooking up with not one, but two gorgeous men is the perfect antidote to my Saturday night boredom, especially when they know how to push all my buttons.
It was only supposed to be a one time thing, but Charles and Jude are utterly irresistible and I can’t help but go back for more. Not only are they sexy, charming, and determined to spoil me rotten, but they want to fulfil my deepest desire of having both a Sir and a Daddy.
But the two of them are already married and despite the fact their relationship has always been open, they’ve never considered inviting anyone in for more than a fling… and the more time we spend together, the more I can feel myself falling for them.
The three of us fit together so perfectly it’s like we were made for each other, but I don’t know if they’ll ever consider changing their entire lives for me.
Even if the only thing I want is to be their Orlando.
Charlie lives in England with her husband and a dachshund named Biscuit. She spends most of her days wrangling other people’s words in her day job and then trying to force her own onto the page in the evening.
She loves cute stories with a healthy dollop of fluff, plenty of delicious sex, and happily ever afters – because the world needs more of them. Charlie also believes that love comes in all shapes and sizes.
Charlie has very little spare time, but what she does have she fills with cooking, pole-dancing, reading and ice-hockey. She also thinks that everyone should have at least one favourite dinosaur…
It was nice to finally get Orlando's story, but I feel like it didn't add all that much to what I already knew about these three from reading all of Charlie Novak's other books.
It did feel like an excuse to just have their sex scenes 😂 Also, although there's a Daddy and a Sir, it's all very sweet and fluffy with no real punishment aspect. For me if I'm reading a Daddy/Boy or Dom/Sub book I do prefer the brattier relationships with punishments! When it's too sweet I find myself losing interest unfortunately.
Polyamory books are always hit and miss for me because too many people over justify it or over explain the relationship dynamics. I feel like if you're reading a polyamory relationship you already know what to expect in that regard? I did find this leaned a little too far towards over justification and over explaining rather than just telling their story. You don't really get that in a story about a couple so I don't understand why it's needed for a relationship between more than two people 🤷🏻♀️
The rating feels harsh, but anything higher would be disingenuous. I just didn't vibe with this at all. If you're looking for a polyamorous, low-stakes, m/m/m romance, this might fit the bill. But I got nothing out of this. And it makes me a little annoyed with myself, because I really should have just DNF'd it? But there was never anything terrible about the writing, and I never felt compelled to put it down. But I also never grew to really like any of the characters much, and I never fell into the world or the plot. Whatever plot there was. It will always be true that characters and writing are the most important things to me while reading. It's also true that I really hate obviously manufactured conflicts and third act breakups. But there was nothing happening outside of their relationship, (other than minor things with Orlando's roommate) and there were no hurdles for them to cross. Yeah, Charles and Jude would occasionally discuss how to take things further with Orlando, integrate him further into their lives, but then... they'd just ask him, and he'd say yes, and things would continue smoothly from there.
And it's not that I think this is the type of book that NEEDED a huge plot outside of the romance. I've enjoyed a lot of low-stakes love stories before. But again, because I wasn't particularly drawn in by the romance, or anything happening around it, that just left room for me to fixate on things I thought could have been done better. We get a big overall picture of their most prominent character traits, but all three characters still felt so shallow. The writing was descriptive in a way I enjoyed, in terms of there being a lot of scene setting, but sometimes it just felt like wasted words. Like, we got a whole paragraph about one character's love for Nutella, and FOR WHAT. That's such a silly thing for me to nitpick on, but that's what happens when nothing else about the story is capturing my attention. This was just... bland and overly saccharine at the same time. As cute as it was, as sexy as it was, nothing about it really drew me in. I wouldn't discourage others from reading it, but I wouldn't really know what to say to recommend it?
But mileage will vary, and hopefully this finds its way into the hands of people who'll enjoy it more.
Omg the spice in this one is next level. Charlie Novak brought her A game when she wrote this.
Only Orlando is an MMM age gap, existing couple adds younger man, D/s with a super sweet story and lots of s*x.
The existing couple are two guys who have been married for years, together for decades and have an open relationship as both like to Dom (one is a switch). Enter Orlando - the younger twink who is mean to only be theirs for a night.
This story is about open communication and falling for more than one person and navigating that whole realm of going against societal norms - fuck society!
It’s low angst, high heat and even includes some DP.
I loved it and binged my way through it. Charlie knows how to write books that make you fall in love with falling in love. These relationships are so green light you can’t help but smile and kick your toes the whole way through.
Orlando and his Daddy and his Sir were side characters in Always Eli, and they finally get their own book here.
Orlando, Charles, and Jude are just adorable together. I love the communication between Charles and Jude at first, and then all three of them.
This was a lovely, sweet, gently kinky read. There are Dom/Sub and Daddy/Boy dynamics, with impact play and other kinks, which we haven't had much of in previous Charlie Novak books, but it's a softer Dom vibe with nothing extreme.
Lovely to see old favourites like Eli here. This book is set basically alongside the timeline of Always Eli, but you don't need to read that first.
In this you'll find: ✨️MMM contemporary romance ✨️Younger twink ✨️Older married couple ✨️Hookup to lovers ✨️Age gap ✨️BDSM with a Dom, a Switch Daddy & a Sub ✨️ Impact play ✨️Drag queens as secondary characters ✨️A HEA
Orlando thought that hooking up with not one, but two gorgeous men would be the perfect antidote to his Saturday night boredom especially as they knew how to push all his buttons. It was only supposed to be a one-time thing, but Charles and Jude are utterly irresistible and he can’t help but go back for more. Not only are they sexy, charming, and determined to spoil him rotten, but they also want to fulfil his deepest desire of having a Sir and a Daddy. But the two of them are already married and even though their relationship has always been open, they’ve never considered inviting anyone in for more than a fling but the more time they spend together, the more Orlando can feel himself falling for them. The three men fit together so perfectly it’s like they were made for each other, but will they ever consider changing their entire lives for him even if the only thing he wants is to be their Orlando?
This was a sweet story on the periphery of the The Court series of books by the same author. Large parts of this was around the sex that they had but it did also cover the dynamics of their relationship and how Orlando felt insecure being with a married couple who were established and together. I did like the way that Charles and Jude balanced each other well and that Jude was a sub for Charles as much as Orlando was, it was just that he had the confidence to call him on his actions when it was necessary. I enjoyed that money was covered and that Orlando stuck to his principles and that he had to be able to contribute as equally as he could to major things. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s and DDLB dynamics.
This was such a joy to read. No angst, so much sweetness, so much heat, and so much love. I am so glad Orlando, Charles, and Jude got their story, I've been intrigued by them since we first met them years ago in Eli's book. This can absolutely be read as a standalone alone, but for fans of the author we are treated to so many Easter eggs from her previous books, which was so much fun. If you are looking for something with just a ton of swoon and that's scorching hot pick up this book about a happily married couple that bring a third I to their relationship. Orlando is just a bundle of happiness and he slots right in with Charles and Jude. A very enjoyable story!
4,5 stars Only Orlando is a standalone MMM romance by Charlie Novak. If you read Always Eli you've already met Orlando. Only Orlando is about Charles/Sir, Jude/Daddy and Orlando. I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written.
Hoped to use for a group challenge. I should've DNFd. Established married couple falling head over heels for Orlando. It was sweet without issues and reminded me of the Book of mormon song with how they swoon over him. Not for me.

I adored Orlando's story - he really found his place with Charles and Jude!
Only Orlando was a sweet and spicy read that I really enjoyed, it was easy to get invested in these men and their relationships, and I didn't want to put their story down. I like stories where an established couple adds a third, and Charlie Novak did a great job at writing and portraying it in this one.
Starting as a hookup on an app, Orlando was quickly drawn to Charles and Jude and it was clear from their first time that he just fit with them. From the beginning they had great chemistry and things felt very balanced between them all. The communication between the characters was fantastic and kept the angst very low. They relationship leaned into Sir/Daddy/boy dynamics, with a bit of impact play, but it was a pretty soft version of kink and nothing extreme. I loved how Orlando found what he needed in his Sir and Daddy, and it was great to see how things developed between them.
Charlie Novak really brought all the heat into this MMM story, and I loved it! While it might not have added a ton of information about Orlando or his men, I still had a great time reading their story. It's a perfect read if you're looking for a sweet high steam, low angst MMM read!
This did a great job at making the MMM relationship feel right. I like it best when two committed seek a third, which this book did.
I liked Orlando, Charles, and Jude. This book was more porn with plot and I started to tire of the sex scenes after a while. The other downside is that the throuple was mostly in a bubble the entire book, with always being at the house.
I don’t normally read MMM romances but Charlie never lets me down in the fluff department so I knew this wouldn’t be a angsty read and perfect for me as someone that doesn’t read this often and doesn’t like a lot of angst. I was surprisedly excited about finally getting around to reading this. We meet Orlando in Always Eli and we only see glimpses of Charles and Jude and never saw what was happening behind the scenes with them with Orlando. I was excited to see how everything played out between all of them while Eli was also falling in love with his man. It was a long time coming but I’m super happy that Charlie decided to give us this story.
We don’t have to wait long to see all of them meeting for the first time and you can tell right away how much chemistry the three of them have together. You can also tell how much love is between Charles and Jude and it made me excited to see them fall in love with Orlando and how it will effort their relationship moving forward.
I love so much that both Charles and Jude communicate so much with each other. What they want and need. We learn that they have an open relationship and have flings or hook ups but never once thought about opening up their relationship for another person to come in. It has always been them for each other. But the way that they were so open and honest with each other and with Orlando was so beautiful and everyone always knew where they stood and what was going to happen.
And with that I also loved how Charles and Jude talked and communicated about their growing feelings for Orlando. You can tell it was hard but much needed and how they both decide to take their time and see how things went and takes things one step at a time since this was a whole new territory for them and something they never thought would happen. But I loved how they communicated but also reminding the other of the love they shared and that will never change it will only multiple adding Orlando to the mix. The way Charles makes sure that Jude knows he is loved and will always be loved was so beautiful and meaningful.
Even with all their communication the only thing I wanted a little bit more of was talks about the future. I wanted to see some of their plans and where they ended up. Also I wanted to see Orlando meet Charles family or even Jude’s. I would have really loved that.
We see all three of them make their relationship official half way through the book and I absolutely loved it. We get to see them be in a relationship and do all the relationship stuff and dating. We see them struggle with a few things but come out stronger for it. I loved seeing Charles and Jude meet Eli for the first time. Everything is super sweet. Especially loved seeing Eli again and seeing the friendship between him and Orlando again. We also get lots of easter eggs from all her other books and I always liked seeing everything come together.
I loved that they was a clear role between all three of them. I loved that Orlando was the boy and Jude was a switch while Charles was the Dom. I think this made it work really well for me to see them have clear roles sexually. I understand that not every relationship is like this but I enjoyed the dynamic and seeing how all three of them handle it going forward.
Overall I think this is my new favorite MMM book. This is a trope that I don’t read much and isn’t something I gravitate towards normally. I gave it a shot due to reading this authors other works and know I can trust her to deliver a really fluffy and low angst book that will leave me feeling happy. If you’re not a big fan of low angst and like a little bit of angst or drama in your books this isn’t for you. This had VERY little angst or struggles. With that said I loved every minute of it from start to finished. Yes there was a few things I wished we got in this book but I had a really fun time reading about Charles, Jude, and Orlando. They worked really well together and I really wished we got to see the wedding/commitment ceremony at the end but I’m still happy with how everything ended and hope this author writes another MMM book in the future and maybe some bonus scenes of these men together cause they are super freaking adorable together and I want more!
Well that was…too long 😭 It started really well and I had high hopes it would be a new fav. Unfortunately their first sex scene was maybe my favourite scene even after 300 pages, which is not great.
It could have been great if it was 200 pages max but 300 pages for a very low angst novel doesn’t work for me. I love low angst stories but for such a big book it makes the whole thing really boring in the end. It felt like a drag and it’s a wonder I did finish it. I think I kept hoping something would happen to them to shake things up a bit.
Everything seems to go well for the 3MC: They meet for sex, great connection right away. Then we have lots of chapters that are “2 weeks later/months later,…” where we just hear what they’ve been up to. They all want to make it official and bam it happens. They say “I love you” quickly (and once they do they say it ALL THE TIME 🙄) And then the second half of the book is their life all together and “Oh shall we ask Orlando to move in with us?” 🥱
The only tiny problem they face is when Orlando and Charles clash over money. The discussion was valid but honestly boring.
Even their repetitive sex scenes were boring. There’s a Sir and a Daddy so I was expecting some really dirty D/s scenes later on but no. Sir is in control verbally but there’s not much else than that. They use d*ldo but that’s it. The switch scene with Charles and Jude was a fun surprise but fell flat in the end.
They spend most of their time together in the house so we don’t see much of the dynamic in public which is a shame.
I also found that, for a book that long there’s a lot we don’t know about the 3MC, they seem very flat at times BUT we get tons of info about Orlando’s BFF, Eli. We get way too many info about his drag queen career, his boyfriend, even his brother,…I guess it’s supposed to be interesting because it connects with other books but as a standalone it was way too many info about secondary characters. Same for Charles’ family weekend…
I had read 2 books by this author that I liked so I went in assuming this would be a winner since I love a good poly romance but nope :/
I had this on my Kindle for a long time, tbh I have most of Charlie's books on my Kindle for some time now, but idk why I never got to them. I have 0 clue. This one in particular I saw a few times on IG and kept being reminded of its existence, and yesterday, when I was looking for my next read, I stumbled upon this one and said... eh, fk it, why not?!
I do not regret my choice. Tbh, I regret not reading it faster.
I will start by saying that this book doesn't have much of a plot. It is low angst and pretty much drama free. I know that maybe some people could find this boring since not much is happening outside of their relationship and their s*x life, but I think for me it was exactly what I needed today.
I wanted a story with cute character ( check ), sweet ( check ), no 3rd act break-up ( check ), and a poly relationship with an established couple ( check ).
I don't know about the other stories in this universe yet, but I can't wait to get to Eli's story and see how him and T fell in love.
This book was super cute, I liked to see Orlando, Jude, and Charles fall in love. I liked seeing how Jude and Charles discussed how to add Orlando into their relationship and how smooth things went. Sometimes, things are just easy when you find the right person. I liked that about this story.
I also liked how we got time to see them go from a one night stand to a relationship. It felt like watching a show. Cute.
There's just something that does it for me when a book is written by a European author and the book is set in a European country... it's a nice bonus, or idk. Maybe I just needed to feel "close to home" or something. These books always give me a feel-good vibe since it also feel more familiar to me. Maybe this is another reason why I gave this book 5 stars? Who knows.
Overall, I had fun reading this book. It was quick, it was cute, it was sweet, I liked all 3 characters and their dynamic - this is a good enough reason for me to give it a 5✨️ rating.
MMM is tricky. Anything more than 2 bodies is tricky. Heck, even 2 bodies can be tricky. Add in an established couple and a new and younger third...you got it. Tricky. And this was Charlie Novak's first foray into multiple partners. It could have gone really well or really badly. Luckily, it went really well.
As fans of her work many were asking, begging for Orlando's story. It happens simultaneously with the book Always Eli as Orlando and Eli are bff and roommates. So we got to hear about Orlando and his men. But we didn't get to see it come to fruition. But she answered the call and gave us the story we needed.
And as a bonus we get to see Eli again AND glimpses of his relationship with Tristan as it grew.
There was definitely a fine line drawn with the different roles the three men had. Because one is strictly a Dom top. One is a submissive bottom but also a Daddy top and the third is a submissive who wants a Dom and a Daddy. That being said, this is NOT a BDSM book. Dom top in that he is in charge. Submissive in that he likes being used and told what to do. But that's about the extent of the kink.
What's better is the communication these men have. Especially in the established relationship. Yes, they have take a third before for a night or two. But when they realized their feelings were growing with Orlando, they went to each other first. No one was left out. No one was made to feel like a third wheel.
This was a great read where all of the men stayed true to themselves but were better as a triad. A must read for Charlie Novak fans.
Only Orlando is a standalone romance by Charlie Novak. Here's what you can expect from Orlando, Charles, and Jude:
🩷 MMM contemporary romance 🩷 First person triple point of view 🩷 Guaranteed happily ever after 🩷 Open door spice 🩷 Sir/Daddy/Boy dynamics 🩷 Soft kink 🩷 Established couple
I've had this book on my list after picking it up at a sale, and I've been wanting to give Charlie's writing a try! This book was a lot of fun. Polyamorous romance isn't the easiest thing to right, and I thought the author did a great job at balancing the roles in the relationship. This book was unique in the fact that Charles and Jude are in an established relationship, and they've never had a permanent boyfriend or play partner before. What starts as an incredibly hot one-night stand blossoms into something the three men never knew they wanted. Orlando was the perfect person to balance Charles's dominance and Jude's penchant for caretaking. All three characters were a lot of fun, and although the pacing wasn't what I expected (instead of just leaving off after they fall in love, we get to see what comes after that) I think it worked well and demonstrated some of the highs and lows in a relationship like this one. I really liked Jude and Orlando, but Charles could be frustrating at times - almost to the point of acting childish. I appreciated that Jude and Orlando never let him get away with that shit, and they had plenty of open and honest conversations and set healthy boundaries. The book was very sweet with just the right amount of spice!
I'd heard great things about this book so it was very disappointing to realise 90% of this relationship takes place off page. It is a prime example of telling instead of showing. Apart from their first date together (which even half of that is cut out), every time they meet up it automatically goes to the next chapter a few weeks later where the characters are having internal dialogue about their growing feelings. Except it doesn't feel genuine because we've literally never seen them have a conversation and suddenly they're already to the feelings stage and a couple of 20 years is suggesting including a guy they've known for a matter of weeks to their relationship permanently? I'm not disputing this can happen, but all we hear is how special Orlando is but there's no further details about why he's special and we've certainly never seen how he's special to them.
I was also already bored by 40% because there's zero conflict in the book to keep the reader invested. They've already fallen in love and all agreed they want to try to be together so what's keeping me wanting to read the next 150 pages? I can't imagine what could possibly happen from here other than more fluffy smut - which I'm certainly not opposed to but if that's what your writing, 200 pages should be the absolute max
In Only Orlando we meet Orlando, Jude and Charles. Jude and Charles have been married for many years and while they do occasionally invite a third person into their relationship, it’s never for anything more than a hookup or some short-term fun. But then they meet Orlando and everything changes.
I really like reading MMM books, but I find that they can sometimes leave me a little unsatisfied. This, however, did a lot of things right. I really liked how we got to see that these men have three very distinct personalities, but also how they balance each other out so well. Orlando really was the perfect person for Charles and Jude, just like they were perfect for him, and from the very beginning we got to see that.
Another thing I really enjoyed was seeing the individual relationships within the trio. We got several scenes where two of them would spend time together without the third, and while I definitely enjoyed the three of them together, I need to also see the individual relationships and how the characters are in those settings as well. And the fact that we got that only made it clearer why these three were so great together.
And of course, I also have to mention the spicy scenes! Because the spicy scenes were spicy, and I enjoyed them a lot 🤭🫠
Count me among those who have wanted the full story of Orlando and his Daddy and Sir since their first mention in Eli's book a few years ago. As a secondary character, Orlando comes off as a bit of a stereotypical twink. As the main character in his own book, he's still kind of a stereotypical twink, but Novak always adds so much depth of personality to her characters that I don't mean that in any sort of negative way. Charles and Jude also inhabit their roles and partnership as a solid duo who effortlessly make me understand Orlando's attraction to them; however, both men also exist as fully fleshed-out characters who develop a unique relationship with Orlando instead of being a single entity as an already married couple. The details of this polyamorous relationship offer plenty of opportunity for angst and drama. Instead, I appreciate how Novak centers all points of conflict on the three men building a solid relationship as the foundation for a nontraditional happily ever after in this sexy and emotional romance.
Disclaimer: I received a digital review copy of this book from the author.
I’m so glad we got Orlando’s story! I’ve been wanting to see more of him since he popped up in Eli’s book. This story was super hot! I was excited to see how Novak would write a poly story and I thought she did a great job. We got to see all the pairings in addition to all three guys together.
The dynamic between Charles, Jude, and Orlando wasn’t one I’ve read before. I ended up really liking it though. I think part of it was how well these guys communicated and that they were all trying to make sure no one felt excluded
This story was originally written as a serial, and unfortunately it didn’t read as cohesively as Novak’s other works. There were several times there seemed to be a great set up for a scene only for it to get skipped. I sort of felt jerked out of the moment.
Overall, I loved this story, the characters and their relationship. But the flow of the writing didn’t really work for me. There’s tons of spice, but plenty of sweet moments too. And of course there were cameos of several other Novak characters!
I received an ARC of this book from the author and this is my honest review
I will preface this by saying I haven’t read Always Eli. I have read other novels from Charlie Novak where Orlando is mentioned. I believe this is Novak’s first MMM book and what an amazing way to start. I absolutely love Orlando, Jude and Charles as individuals but together they are FIRE. Sometimes a throuple situation can feel like off (jealousy, feelings of inadequacy). That’s just my opinion of course. I’ve read several MMM books especially recently. This book however feels like a perfect balance. Orlando is a cheeky sweet brat. Charles and Jude are in an established marriage. At first, they are all looking to have some fun with each other. It turns into more than that very soon. Their relationship leans heavily on Daddy/Sir/Boy, so if you’re not into that be advised. I love that during the entire book commutation is key for all the men. Their relationship never felt off key. As usually, Novak does smexy scenes so well. So hot! I will say I fell in love with Charles! I love me an overworked grumpy MC that needs to be cuddled from time to time.
4.5/5 I loved seeing these three come together and figure out how to have a relationship. Their chemistry was fabulous, and I loved how balanced the relationship was. Even though Orlando was coming into a relationship with a couple who’d been together for 20+ years, it felt like they were all equals. They actually communicated with one another regularly (with a few hiccoughs, of course), and they all took care of one another. I appreciated the depiction of Charles and Jude being extremely in love and dedicated but not quite 100% compatible with their needs. They still managed to make it work, and then Orlando filled in their missing pieces.
I appreciated all the time spent out of the bedroom as well as in it (and elsewhere of course, lol). It was nice to see them taking the time to get to know one another. I loved how generally in sync they were but then with occasional hang-ups and assumptions and worries to sort out. I appreciated the dinner with friends, Christmas lounging with the Mummy (what a great holiday movie choice, lol), an impromptu wig studio, and more. This felt like the best kind of relationship, really, and it was lovely to see it play out.
review pendingOh my! Oh my! Oh my! I don’t think I was expecting the spice in this one to hit as hard as it did.
The dynamic is always going to hit differently when there are more people involved in the relationship, but this was an unexpected delight.
This is my 3rd book by Charlie Novak and I thought I knew what to expect: I was wrong..
I adored watching the relationship between these three grow.
Charles & Jude are married, partners in every sense of the word and have an open relationship. Their reasons for this, is for them to tell, I can appreciate their level of openness and communication within their own relationship but also when adding someone into their dynamic. Whether it be for a night or for more.
Orlando is fun. He is light, laughter & love personified and I adored everything about him. He made it easy to want to be a part of his story which made it easy to understand how he fit in with Charles & Jude so effortlessly. His ability to see inside of their relationship without any prodding made him the perfect piece to complete their puzzle.
I enjoyed falling along with these three as they learned to build their relationship while still honoring what brought them together.
Ever since Orlando popped up in Always Eli as Eli's best friend and flatmate and he mentioned his Daddy and Sir I got really curious and needed more.
And Charlie Novak delivers. Their story is full of love, taking charge (Sir), taking care (Daddy) and their boy (Orlando). It is a bit different from the author's other books as it's a lot more kinky but she managed to write their development from a fun hook up to a full fledged relationship with her usual attention to detail and character development.
I love how she managed to include Orlando into the existing relationship without making him a third wheel or an extra, they all need each other on different levels and complete each other.
The story runs parallel to Always Eli, so there are some overlapping parts of the story but you don't need to know it to enjoy this one (You should read it though, it's a great book).
As usual, Charlie Novak weaves her different universes together and if you follow her books then you will find all kind of little bits everywhere.
This story is beyond cute. Charles and Jude are a fantastic couple who clearly have a lot of love to give. I adored seeing how they cared for one another, even while ‘playing’ with a third, while also making sure to be considerate and thoughtful to Orlando.
These three had an immediate connection that just made them the sweetest grouping ever.
Orlando himself was also pretty special. He was so perfect for both men and their relationship. He didn’t just get what he needed from this Daddy/Sir pairing, he also gave them so much.
I really enjoyed how well they worked as a triad, but they were also wonderful as separate pairings, going on dates, and making sure each and every one of them felt seen.
If you want a sweet (and hot) MMM romance that will make you swoon for ages, than this story is perfect.
Oh I loved this book. I am a avid fan of Charlie Novak and love how she ties so many of her books together so seamlessly. This story is just another wonderful example of this. I was especially looking forward to Orlando's story and wasn't disappointed at all. Orlando; a hairdresser, is bored in the long English summer heat so he goes looking for a diversion; with a push from Eli. In comes Jude; a University Professor and Charles; a Solicitor. A married pair, who like to share a third occasionally to help provide them with the needs they crave. Though they have been together for 20 years their total love and devotion to each other allow this. Orlando needs a Sir and a Daddy so this is a win, win situation if emotions don't derail everything. This sexy tale of need, love and commitment is extremely well written and a total joy to read. I loved seeing cameos of Eli and Tristan too. Can't wait for the next book.
Whew, what a read! I'll be honest, poly, throuples, etc are usually out of my wheel house. They just make me eeky. And then you add kink, and I'm like, nopity, nopity, nope. But it's Charlie Novak, one of my favorite, favorite authors. So I went into this thinking I'll just skip scenes. Now, we have known about Orlando, our favorite hair dresser, Sir, and Daddy since Always Eli. It was playing out in the background of Eli and Tristan's story. Orlando was just looking for a fun evening but ended up with Charles and Jude, a married couple open for enjoying a third. This one night changed everything for our lovers. Now, don't get me wrong, there's smexy times but they are erotic, organic, loving, needed. Truly sex positive. You never get the sense any of them are third wheels, rather they become a tripod, all three necessary to hold up each other in this relationship. The communication is a lesson for all relationship. I love how they each become better versions of themselves because of the others. Charlie does a great job weaving other characters throughout the story so totally read this as a standalone! But then go back and read every other Novak book as well!
I've wanted this book since I read about this throuple in Always Eli, and it was worth the wait. Everything is well balanced, not only the relationship between Charles, Jude and Orlando, but also the one with Sir, Daddy and their boy. One of the thing that often bothers me when I read MMM stories is the lack of communication, specially when there is an already established couple, and a married at that. In this book, though, the communication is utterly perfect. Both Charles and Jude initiate the discussions abouth how they feel and which direction they want the new relationship with Orlando go to, and then they talk about it with their boy. I liked that the story is told using different POVs, because this way I feel like I know better each character, so that's another bonus point. Ten out of ten, absolutely recommended! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I'm one of the many who fell in love with Orlando in Always Eli. I'm so glad we got the story of Orlando, his Sir and Daddy. Orlando is a wonderful sweet passionate character. I loved seeing him fall in love with Charles and Jude, and them falling for him in return. The three of them are absolute fire together. What strikes we most is the care they show each other, from the start, and how they encourage each other to work through any issues in the relationship. I loved seeing more Eli. The friendship between Orlando and Eli is beautiful. I adored the interaction between Charles and Eli, it was very funny, but highlighted how much they both care for Orlando. Orlando, Charles and Jude are so sweet and loving together. I adore how they support each other to shine and be their authentic loved selves.
I think everyone who has ready Always Eli has been asking for this book. If you haven’t meet him yet make sure you do, I will be going back to reread that one. Knowing this book was on the horizon and finally here makes everything so much better. We haven’t seen this much spice in a book before, umm Charlie where on earth have you been hiding that? Honestly I loved how Orlando finds a way to balance Charles his sir and Jude his Daddy. He does it without being too much of a brat. Although we would love to see what a spanking (hint hint, bonus…..please). Charles and Jude are perfect in their own right making sure that they both take the time to have individual relationships that not all about getting between the sheets. I am excited for the audio release of this book.
