In the aftermath of a war that almost destroyed Earth, the Alliance now rules, but not everyone chooses to live by their laws. Alayna is a rebel living by her own rules in the harsh badlands, outside the Alliance’s control. She is a thief, stealing from the wealthy to provide for those who cannot survive on their own, all while hiding the tattoo that marks her as one of the few remaining fertile women on Earth…making her a target.
Alliance Elites Nikolai Grekov and Colin Nielson are stationed at a neglected base on the edge of the badlands after years spent in space. Their orders are to track down an elusive thief that’s been plaguing the area’s outposts, but they also have their own agenda. Both men want to find and claim a fertile woman to call their own and fulfill their dreams of becoming a family.
When the men catch the sexy, headstrong, thief breaking into their home, they claim Alayna for their own. Nikolai and Colin may have claimed their chosen, but the battle for her heart has just begun. Can they find a way to win her trust or will their beautiful renegade’s need for freedom destroy their chance of happiness?
Susan lives out on the Canadian west coast surrounded by open water, dear family and good friends. She’s jumped out of perfectly good airplanes on purpose and accidentally swum with sharks on the Great Barrier Reef. If the world ends, she plans to survive as the spunky, comedic sidekick to the heroes of the new world, because she’s too damned short and out of shape to make it on her own for long.
Writing is her joy, her escape from reality and the only way she knows of to quiet the nagging harridan of a muse the universe assigned to her.

This was sweet and cute and kinda scratched an itch I had in my current binge for menage. The plot in not very entertaining and full of action or angst but the love story between these 3 is beautiful.I like when the H in this case Heroes are all mushy and soft and cute towards the h and this was one of those stories.I also enjoyed their banter and the fact that Alayna stands her ground with them. The sex was good, not over the top magnificent but was ok , could have been better. ****Again I find myself a bit disgusted by this "cream" that is sliding between the thighs of this ladies in the last 3 books I have read .Please , pleaseeee understand that vaginal creamy discharge is not healthy !! lolz
I was in the mood for some light romance, and when I saw this on someone else's stream, I decided to go for it. I knew it was probably some kind of erotica, but given the stars I was still hopeful.
Unfortunately it's not my idea of a good story. I don't mind the smut, but I still need a good book behind it. The plot makes some promises, and fails on all. if you set the lovers as enemies, you need to make them move towards a new goal. here everything is an excuse for sex, even when that same thing shouldn't be, on the contrary. All you get are superficial characters.
Less than midway I gave up. And honestly at 5 bucks I asked for a refund, too.
Susan Hayes never disappoints me with her romances and her delicious heroes. She knows how to write a menage, infusing unique traits into each character, bringing them to life. I recommend this book for anyone who loves sci-fi erotic romance and sexy Alphas.
Alayna is a survivor. First as a child after an explosion, then as a fertile female tagged as one the 'chosen.' Living with her foster family in the badlands, she's become a master thief stealing essential supplies from the Alliance to aide the Rebel faction who resist the Alliance and all that they stand for.
Generals Nikolai Grekov & Colin Nielson have been assigned to head a remote outpost that has been plagued with theft of supplies and attacks by rebel forces. As elite paired officers they are eligible to claim one of the chosen though the chances of finding one where they're stationed is unlikely. They have been assigned to stop the elusive Waith after which they will be eligible to return to the capital where they have a much better chance to claim one of the rare fertile females to start a family unit.
When their home is burglarized and it's found the thief is a female who is a perfect match for their sexual AND intellectual needs they begin to reassess their priorities. Too bad their prey won't agree to be theirs for more than one night....
If only .........
This was a very heavy handed sci-fi menage (mfm) adult content read that included a simplistic straightforward story line. The plot premise compliments another book I've read recently:3013: Mated so if you've read that one you'll get the overall world building and 'chosen' premise.
I did appreciate and enjoy the core characters and how their mating came to be. Nothing more satisfying than two alpha personality guys who have a soft side for their love interest and do what they need to to encourage her to stay and live with them in bliss where any/all of her sexual fantasies will be met daily, hourly, or whenever/however she chooses. Yup. A girl would be a fool not to at least consider the possibilities and Alayna ain't no fool
However, while the premise and erotica scenes were HAWT and frequent I had issues with story line inconsistencies, character traits, and attention to details that pulled me entirely out of the book. I don't feel this is spoiler info which I'll use for an example. At the beginning of the story Alayna is caught. In reading this scene I thought the time frame it happened was in the morning. After follow up events and activities the time frame mentioned is the next morning. Are we talking marathon here or did I misunderstand things. There are other similar examples but they do pose potential spoilers so....
I also really really got mixed messages in regards to Nik and Colin. They're all big and bad elite generals. You don't get there by being sweet, kind, and a pushover I'd think. Alayna needed strong men who could handle her, based on HER back story, which left me wondering who was really in charge in this relationship. The end result though was simply I never got vested in any of the characters because they just didn't make sense so the emotional connection was lost on me.
When a book/story leaves me with multiple questions/concerns (there are many more but they're spoilers in the story) I just can't say that I'm a fan. Especially when I consider the price/page count.
I'm giving this 4 because the heroine was a thief and thank the lord didn't end up pregnant (sorry this week I've read so many sci-fi's where the heroine is pregnant....)
Susan Hayes helps reaffirm my love for Erotic Science Fiction. Renegade is book 2 of the 3013 Series and I just have to say loved it and still loving the series. I liked a three lead characters, liking Alyana a bit more than the men...grins. You wont be able to not take her under you wing and give her some loves. From a life that could have very well left her for dead, she grew up and stayed safe and even help provide for her people. The Alliance has sent to of their Generals to take over a base and discover who is stealing the supplies meant for the bad-landers. Nikolai and Colin are best friends and totally opposite in personality. One is gruff and all bear type, the other a bit more of a joker and level headed...mostly. At 175 pgs it makes for a decent length read, not too much detail to over power the story but enough that its a story and not just smut. I'm sure you will have so much fun with the parental units. A single gruffy man not quick to show emotions, a snotty very rich and haughty set that will make you want to slap them, then a football team size family that just kinda is. Just remember we can pick out family members.. Two male alliance officers looking for their scroll, one young woman will do all that she can to hid the fact that she is a scroll. A bit of fun and danger, sassy and word play, good interaction between the characters and to top it off some passion and heated smexyiness.. on the desk.. against the wall, in a chair.. oh and in bed. Grab it, Read it.. Enjoy it.
Very smutty read and I love the world building in this series. I liked how whereas in the first book where we got to read about an “infertile” woman who found her mates, in “Renegade” we got to read about a “fertile” woman, Alayna, A hiding her status so she wouldn't be claimed...which happened anyway btw. But by two human men, Nicolai and Colin, who proved to be quite persuasive and who actually cared about her. But Alayna wasn't sure, after all the negativity that was pumped into her mind, leading Nikolai and Colin to fear for the moment she would run from them.
Characters were likable, the smex was steamy and the story itself was pretty interesting. Though I did I mis a few things in this story, like we got to meet Nikolai's parents but not Colin's. And what about Alayna's past, she was found as a child by the rebels. Nikolai and Colin found reason to believe she still might have family left but they didn't took action to find out more. So it kind of left me like this.
I LOVE SCI-FI; therefore, I loved this book. I thought it delightful and fun, and sexy too! It kept me entertained throughout the story and I am looking forward to the next book in this 11 book(so far) series.
Try it, You may like it, too.
Our heroine, Alayna, is a professional thief in the Robinhood style. Her 'people' in the badlands are not getting the supplies promised to them, or if they are available, the balckmarket prices are too high. So, she takes them back from the Alliance forces. Two new officers arrive in town to investigate and find the Wraith, as she is known, and lock her up and end the thefts. They catch her at their own residence. OOPS! Have fun with the rest of this short book!
I'm so glad I didn't give up on this series. Book 2 is soooo much better.
I don't know if it's because it's a different author or if it's just that the story is much more believable.
There are no dragon-shifter aliens here...only 2 really sexy human elite officers hoping to find a chosen mate. What Nikolai and Colin end up with a little more than they bargained for but Alayna is one of a kind and they will do anything to keep her.
I definitely enjoyed 3013: Mated a lot more. The sex scenes are just as good and as frequent in this book but I felt like the plot was sub-par. Also, I don't like loose ends. Write an epilogue if you need to but wrap it up. There was a lot of emphasis placed on the men's want of children and her fear of being a mother but it was never resolved. Annoying.
A mating of three full of intensity and raw gentleness. A romance with a fairytale ending and the added bonus of adventure with danger and intrigue. Just the right mix of wild animalistic lust with sweet passionate romance. Two amazingly sexy heroes mixed with a spunky, beautiful thief makes for a perfect recipe.
This was an enjoyable read for me. I liked the main characters, especially the Heroine. There was enough of a storyline so it`s not just porn. What I didn`t like is the almost insta bonding/love. What went through my mind several times was the question: Two alpha males and no jealousy between them over Alayna!?
Page after page of hot sexy alpha males, a kick ass heroine, great "romance" scenes, and hilarious banter between all three. Overall an exceptional addition to the 3013 series.
A renegade and two seasoned Alliance officers make a go of it. Not complicated, but entertaining in a fluffy way with a strict V menage formation. Minimal world building, but planetside in a desolate region doesn't require much more.
We meet Alayna as she's casing the house she's going to break into. The elite soldiers make it easy for her, following a set schedule every day. She's just waiting for them to leave. Once they do, it starts to rain. It would make her task a bit more difficult since she didn't want to track mud inside or leave any DNA trace that could alert the Alliance one of their missing scrolls was alive and well in the badlands. As she's searching for their office only finding bedrooms, she hears them return. Flooding. She has to get out, but she doesn't make it.
Generals Nicolai 'Griz' Grecov and Colin 'Ghost' Nielson are discussing their plans for the evening when they are stopped by a flood. Apparently, no one mentioned flash floods were a thing here and no one thought to build a bridge or culvert to avoid the issue. Beyond annoyed they return home to see a thief running out the door. When they catch her and interrogate her, she realizes she's probably going to prison.
However, she notices they are as attracted to her as she is to them and makes a change of plan. One night of pleasure couldn't hurt, right?
To say Nicholai and Colin have their work cut out for them to gain Alayna's trust is an understatement.
Alayna has been taught a lot of misconceptions about claiming and they were going to give her the time she needs to discover it's not what she thinks it is. She also values her freedom and expects she will be totally under the control of these men.
It's going to take time to gain her trust, but they work hard at showing her that they would take care of her and respect her independent streak.
I love the way this plays out, the love that is poured into the relationship and the way they complement each other's personalities. There's plenty of sizzle, some action, some drama and a few surprises as well.
I have fallen in love with this multi-author series and will be reading more of it.
Earths Future…Alien Romance Story Alayna has been living in the badlands since she was a baby. Sam, her foster father found her in the debris of a plane crash. She was the only survivor. Raised as a rebel hating the alien Alliance, she has been trained as a wraith to sneak in and take the goods the rebels need. Alayna has finally met her match in General Nikolai Grekov (Griz) and General Colin Neilson (Ghost). They are the new commanders at Fort Saken on the edge of the badlands. Theft in this area, at this military base, has been disturbing and these guys are here to set everything right. Just a few weeks on the job and they just found a thief running from their house. Gotcha! Except it’s not a man…it’s a beautiful delicious woman… and it’s been a long time since they’ve had a woman. Best friends Nikolai and Colin are game to share this crafty sassy beauty and when she agrees it’s a rough ride for all. In this Future Earth world, few women are fertile, when young they are tattooed on their faces with marks indicating fertile or sterile. Alayna has the “sterile” mark until she starts sweating off the makeup covering her “fertile” mark. Now she is a valuable commodity and these guys want her badly. Before she knows what’s happening they claim her and mark her as theirs. I LAUGHED SO MUCH AT THE BANTER BETWEEN THESE THREE. Alayna is smart, brave, and spunky. This is an interesting and funny alien love story with a happy ending. Linda
Generals, friends, and Elite pair- Nik and Colin, catch a thief invading their home only to later discover Alayna's the infamous "Wraith" they'd been sent to the fort to apprehend along with their new duties. I loved the suspenseful plot, and all three of the characters. Alayna is beautiful, strong, smart, resourceful, and confident. Nik and Colin are large, sexy, enhanced, accepting, possessive and protective Elite Generals who fall for her immediately. There's no crossed swords in this story. Con- I would've liked to have seen the introduction of Alayna to Colin's mom. I think she's going to need all the mothering and advice she can get in the future on how to handle her men. ;D
2 stars cause I at least finished the book. I found it hard to be pulled into this story, too many conflicting things going on that distracted me. The characters are ok, I never really felt they grew, or for me to be vested in them to care what happens. Their personalities seemed to waffle back & forth too much as well. I was left with a lot of questions, both for world building and for the plot. The ménage part of their relationship felt a little awkward to me, thus not really believable. I wouldn’t want to read more books in this series.
How can a thief and two Alliances warriors come to be lovers and then Bonded? Why catch the thief first and find out she is actually fertile and claim her! But Alayna fights the claim of Nikolai and Colin. She continues to fight until she realizes that everything she has learned before is not right, why was she not told the truth. Nikolai and Colin wonder why Alayna would be a thief but do not realize what kind of thief she actually is. How can everything be solved? Why by reading the recommended book 📖 of course to find out what happens.
Wow, can't believe I missed this great SciFi read...
In this future world, earth? maybe maybe not, the haves and the have nots are at odds. The Alliance is suppose to take care of the less fortunate but that help isn't making it. As a master thief Alayna is helping to make things a little better in the Badlands. I love this story. Yes, it's sexy and there's two hunky men. But it's also a story about a strong independent woman getting over some pretty bad misconceptions
The Sassy Thief! I just loved the interaction between Alayna and her bonded, Nikolai and Colin. Alayna is a thief who never wants to be bonded, especially with any of the elite. Nikolai and Colin catch Alayna when she broke into their house - quite literally when she was trying to escape. She thinks she can have them for one night of steamy sex but they know she is their chosen. All of their expectations of each other are way off the mark but, in the end, love prevails.
Two Elite Generals and a Thief! Loved the book! Strong and stubborn woman against and with two wonderful men. What better situation can you wish for. A lot of action, witty situations, steamy scenes and misconceptions on both sides that have to be worked out. Loyalty and honesty are main ingredients for a HEA. Highly recommended.
I liked how Nicholai and Colin created their own family and brought Alayna into it. Nicholai's upbringing was cold and calculating, and that is contrasted by the open emotion that formed Colin's childhood. Learning that the one they are attracted to is the most wanted criminal makes their choices more difficult and challenging.
