This book definitely works as a stand-alone book. I did absolutely love all the books in the series and if you're looking for more background on the characters, definitely check those out.
I love the Blackmore Sisters and their companions. The characters are well developed each with a unique magical talent.
There is a magical crisis right in the backyard of the sisters' back yard.
The mystery and the story are so well written.
There was research that was done that was evident to this reader. I absolutely LOVED this story so much!!!
I really hope that there are more books in this incredible series.
This is the tenth episode in the Blackmoore Sisters Cozy Mystery series. It was well worth the wait. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait as long for the next story in this series.
I like that each sister has a special and unique magical gift that aids them in resolving the situations. In this book, there is a paranormal uprise in their own backyard.
The sisters’ companions enhance the story. I like how they all get along and respect each other.
This book works as a standalone but if you enjoy character building and want to understand how it came about, read them in order.
I thought it wrapped up too quickly at the end. I was given an advanced readers copy and these are my own opinions.
This one felt a bit chaotic to me, just like the title. Apparently, there's some sort of massive celestial event that's going to happen in the woods next to the Blackmoore house and the girls have to combine their skills to make sure nothing bad happens.
It has been a fun little ride getting to know these Blackmoore sisters and the series was not too heavy to dampen the holiday season.
Such a good series! I love the relationship of the women in the Blackmoor family and their respective significant-others. The storylines are strong, interesting and keep my attention. The magic is well-described and easy to follow. I think this book is a stand-alone book, but if you go back and read the series from the beginning, you get to see all of the relationship developments. I really enjoyed the teamwork for this “environmental” problem and the resulting conclusion. Looking forward to the next one!
With the impending catastrophe caused by the alignment of the stars, compounded by by the ley lines of the earth becoming unstable. The Blackmore have their greatest challenge they've ever faced. And a lot of their success will depend on getting two wizards who have been feuding for centuries to put aside their differences and work together.
Developed characters, some humor and a bit of intrigue in this mystery.
It is good to have another Blackmoore Sisters book after a long wait. It was worth the wait. While not a complex plot, the book has some suspense and action. But mostly it is a story about the sisters working together and with the men in their lives to prevent evil from coming through a portal during a powerful celestial alignment. Or something like that. The book moved along at a good pace and was an enjoyable read.
It had been a while since book 9 and I was a bit worried I’d have forgotten too much, but that wasn’t the case at all. I got into it right away and felt right at home! A fun read, that had me turning those pages! Well written with a great plot, this is a book I highly recommend to anyone who loves a witch cozy!
I love the Blackmoore sisters! I was very eager to read the 10th installment and dove right in but the ending was a letdown. I was expecting a spectacular ending but it was short, and ended prematurely, in my opinion. It had the potential to be a lot better and not be snuffed out so quickly.
I have now finished all ten books in the series. I like that they were quick reads that were hard to put down. The continuing story lines made it easy to get involved in the next book. I will read more series by the author.
The Blackmoore Sisters series builds each story on the previous one, and this story is the fitting conclusion. However, not all questions are answered. Could Ms. Dobbs add another story to the roster?
Magical powers abound throughout this wonderful series. The sisters all have different powers but work well together especially with their soul mates. I enjoyed all the books. Thank you.
Five stars since it was a quick and easy read! I loved revisiting these magical girls and friends! This one had a few suspenseful times in it even though bizarre themes ( and animals)!
Just wasn’t my favorite of the series. They could’ve done deeper overall in writing, plot, etc. Also, tons of random errors in the writing. Felt rushed. More 3.25/3.5 than a 3
