My enemy’s daughter. I had planned on using her, corrupting her completely. She was to be my revenge.
Until she became my obsession. One I didn’t want.
Finally, my chance to rid myself of this hunger and get my revenge arrived. I bought her. Forced her hand in marriage; all to make her mine.
My obsession only intensified before she was kidnapped. I vowed to kill anyone involved; everyone who dared touch what’s mine. After months of looking for her, she’s found. The only problem is she has no memories of what I did. Of how I deceived her.
No, instead she falls in love with the man I wish I had been. The one she deserved from the start.
When we finally begin our happy ending, my newest deceits unravel. As her memories return, it leads me to uncertainty. Will her hate from before tear us apart or is the love she has for the man she fell for strong enough to hold us together?

This was the perfect conclusion to Phoenix and McKenzie's story. I was hooked. Just like the first half of the duet, this book was jam-packed full of twists and turns as we try to discover who has been behind everything that has been going on and there is definitely some surprises along the way.
And can I just say the best surprise was the coming home gang making a little cameo appearance!
Phoenix is the epitome of touch her and 💀 and my god is that man obsessed with Kenz! But I am here for it all.
This book is spicy and dark but has just enough light-hearted swoony moments to fill my romance loving heart to the top!
This duet has been amazing. The books suck you in and don't let you up for air till the very end.
Very eye rollery. So over the top that when I was’t rolling my eyes I was snickering and out right laughing at the ridiculousness of the thing. I was entertained when I wasn’t horrified at some of the plot turns. Don’t recommend. At all. Seriously. Having said that though I pretty much read the duology in one day 😁
IM SO SAD that it's over. I loved this so much, perfect conclusion to this duet. 🫶🫶🫶 I loved both MCS, I had no complaints from any of them, nor with any of the supporting characters. All the open communication, love, trust, everything was perfect. And ofc the 🌶🌶🌶 was 🤌. I will definitely be coming back to read other books from this author especially the stories about some of the characters who had an appearance in this book. 💓💓💓
"She's a drug that I'll never not be addicted to. She feeds my black soul. Even though I know I should give her up, I won't. Because I'm that selfish. She will always be mine. Always."
Finally....the second part to Phoenix and McKenzie. After the way book one ended I could not wait to get into this one. It did not disappoint. I needed the rest of the story of how they became who they are.
This one focuses more on Phoenix and how McKenzie came into his life. His vow he makes to himself when it comes to the auctions and the grand plan he sets into motion. Little does he know truths are about to be revealed and so much of the last decade has not actually been what he thought.
Kenzie still doesn't have her full memory back but as more and more of them come back people she thought she could trust, she cannot. Her and Phoenix reveal all truths to each other and that only makes them stronger as they seek out those who hurt her. I would love to go into more detail here but the plot twist will have you gasping with shock!
Ms. Abrams wraps up Nix and Kenzie so well. They get the HEA that is years in the making and while the road definitely wasn't smooth I fully believe them going through what they did is what made their bond so much stronger.
When I say I could not put this book down I mean it. I read it in one sitting and it really keeps you on the edge of your seat. I Will Find Her is book two of the Society Series and you will need to read book one to understand this book. Book one left you with so many questions and counting the days until this book was out. The chemistry between Nix and McKenzie is just amazing. Nix is obsessed and protective and so patient as McKenzie works through this major trauma she has just been put through. You get to see such a gentle side of Nix has he strengthens his marriage with McKenzie. I five stared book one and I did the same for this book. Definitely one of my favorite duets.
I Will Find Her is the second book in The Society Duet, you must read He Will Come for Me first!
Holy moly, this was the perfect ending to the duet! There was so much growth in the story from both Phoenix and McKenzie. I adored their relationship, especially how Phoenix was always taking care of Kenzie and letting her be herself. I loved seeing if/how many memories Kenzie would regain. Oh and the cameos from the characters in the Coming Home series were 👌👌👌 When I say I couldn't put this down.... I finished the book in less than 12 hours while still adulting and taking care of my kids since it's summer 🤣🤣
Thank you Nicole Abrams for the e-arc. All opinions expressed are my own.
okay WOW. not one moment did I knew what was gonna happen.
fuck, THOSE PLOT TWISTS???? HOOOOOLY... it was about damn time we found out who kidnapped her and did that to her... oh my god, my heart broke so many times💔
Phoenix and Kenzie are such a power couple tho, the way they complete eachother 🥹🥹
I still can't get over those auctions but I am SO GLAD they finally stopped forcing people to do whatever they did there
This is one of my most anticipated books for 2024 and wow it did not disappoint.
Following on from "We will come for me" (Please read this book first) we follow the story of Phoenix and McKenzie. I don't want to give away any spoilers as I highly recommend you read this Duet.
This book will tug at your heart strings and book two delves deeper into the past of our two main characters and their relationship. I loved the plot of this book and the twists and turns you take with the characters.
Nicole has seamlessly carried the story line and plot through to book 2 will all of the emotion, romance and anticipation.
If you love romance on the darker side with twists and turns all set in the dangers world of a secret society and strong morally grey men then this is a definite read for you.
Please ensure that you read the trigger warnings first and this is the second book and I would recommend you read the first book before starting.
Dnf 40% (chapter 19) I only started reading this one because the first book ended on a cliffhanger. I also wanted to learn more about the gaps in her memory she couldn’t remember, but I just couldn’t do it any longer 😃
This is the second book following, He Will Come For Me, so you need to read this first. Fortunately, I had finished this just before this arrived as an ARC to me, because, after the cliffhanger of the first book I would have hated having to wait, because I loved it.
Phoenix and Mckenzie have a relationship built on what seems to be the sins of the fathers, but there is so many complexities and twists that this initial thinking, could not be further from the truth. Phoenix (Nix) and Mckenzie (Kenz) are navigating their marriage after Kenz is rescued from being kidnapped, for which she is suffering amnesia, and there are certain events that provide scraps of her memory and the horrors she suffered at the hands of those she thought she could trust. Both Nix and Kenz are victims, and their love for each other is what they both need as they travel uncharted territories and piece together fragments of a past that sees both their worlds implode.
I really loved how Nicole weaved thru the past Nix and Kenz had together at school, thru to the present day. So, as Kenz recalled her past, these moments bought together some key moments throughout the book, which had it all culminate into an amazing ending to the series, and had me gripped. Nicole, as an author, is new to me, but this series will not be my last.
What an excellent 2nd book! Phoenix and Mackenzie have gone through so much. The feels this book gives. There is plenty of heat, some drama and intrigue. I finished it in one sitting!!
He wanted her for revenge but she became so much more. This book was very intense and I loved every moment. The way that he possesses her and the emotions between them is everything.
Heat level: 5/5. My good dudes. This book is such a wild ride. The beginning gives us a bit of insight on their time at the academy from Phoenix's POV before picking up where book 1 left off. The sex scenes have leveled up AND there's a library sex scene that just about had me flooding my place. The memories that come back to Kenz, the revenge that happens, and the fabulous cameos of past characters in the Coming Home series were awesome tie-ins. I'm going to miss this pierced peen action.
Ma'am. Nicole. Nicole Abrams. This book. this was the exact conclusion to the first part of the duet that my heart needed. I absolutely loved and devoured this.
The thrilling and suspenseful conclusion of Nix and Kenzies story. Kenzie begins to remember more and face horrors once forgotten as she and Nix begin to uncover the truth behind many secrets and learn those they trusted may not be as trustworthy as they once thought and enemies are not who they seem
Nicole has done it again presenting a story that I couldn’t put down as mystery and secrets were revealed and the bonds of a deep all powerful love grow stronger Nix proves once and for all that he will always choose Kenzie and the life he built with her
I’m going start with saying this is book 2 in the society duet. If you haven’t read book 1 “He Will Come For Me” stop now to go read that. Otherwise none of this will make sense. Also, check your trigger warnings.
There is discussion of and on page descriptions of heavy subjects. A few are: 😵🤕 🍇 💉💊 of the main character and antagonists ☠️ 🔪 🔫
We get a good inside look into Phoenix’s head for the first few chapters. We find out what he was thinking. How he feels. What he wants out of his relationship with McKenzie.
We left off when McKenzie had found Larry’s house across the lake by accident. So many secrets up in the air. So many things left unsaid. Even by her. So many memories unopened but so many memories coming to light. We pick up with a glimpse into Nix’s head and history. How he became who he is now. What he felt for Kenz when they were younger. What he feels for her now.
This man is so beyond loving her. He is obsessive in his love. I personally love an extremely morally gray MMC that will burn the entire world down for the woman he loves. Nix does not disappoint! Book 1 left me reeling with the possibility that Nix may not be the anti-hero we want him to be, but this follow up proves that this man can hold her heart safely and provide her with everything she wants and needs.
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Tropes: ✔️amnesia ✔️secret society ✔️morally gray alpha MMC ✔️determined and strong FMC ✔️billionaire ✔️mafia is listed, but it’s a complete backdrop to the plot ✔️Dom/sub ✔️my wife ✔️my pet ✔️good girl If I could give this series more than 5 stars I would.
If you’re looking for something that keeps you guessing, makes you stay up too late because you HAVE to know, has you screaming for book 2 and keeps you obsessed…. This is it. This is THE ONE! (Well 2 😉) I absolutely could not put this down! Make sure you’ve got the time to dedicate to the beauty that is this book and story before you crack the first page! Thank you Nicole Abrams for giving me the story I didn’t know I needed in this lifetime!
I am so glad the second book to this duet finally came out!!! The conclusion to Phoenix and McKenzie’s story. No matter what they went through, they still fought for each other! I really enjoyed this duet.
I didn’t think it was possible for this book to be better than the first in the series but it was so so good. This book had even more twists and surprises and I was audibly gasping out loud at some. The relationship between Phoenix and Mackenzie is incredible and so perfect. Nix is protective, loving, and so patient with the trauma Kenzie has gone through and he will do anything to help her. This book completely brings the whole storyline together and you will be so shocked at some of the discoveries.
Wow, this darn ending for this duology . Amazing have i not mentioned again, I'm in love with Phoenix!! The way this man goes to the ends of his sanity to make sure his wife McKenzie is with him and protected, amazing. The story picks right where we left in the previous book, cliffy crazy i know. And Nicole did such an amazing job on this one i am still recovering!!! Dont miss this conclusion.
The writing made the characters one-dimensional and the book was hard to get into. It just didn't make much sense it jumped around every couple of months. Some spoilers.. the society is made to sell their first born daughters and then they have to have sex in front of everyone, disgusting. I tried to finish it and I just couldn't the storyline just didn't make any sense so I quit. I would not recommend this book.
I Will Find Her, Book 2 of The Society duet, was about 26-year-old Phoenix Stone and his wife, McKenzie Knight Stone. (Neither of the characters were given any specific jobs. Phoenix was said to have taken over some of his father's businesses, but nothing was revealed other than the illegal fight clubs, some restaurants, and being a member of a "Society" that bought and sold people at auctions.")
Trigger Warnings Include:
Public Sexual Encounters, Human Trafficking, Discussion of Asphyxiation, Amnesia, Kidnapping, Panic Attacks, Mention of Sexual Assault, Gun Violence, Unaliving of People
Unlike Book 1, this story started out being told from a single POV, but the difference was that it was first told from the POV of the MMC, but after several chapters, it eventually included the POV of the FMC as well.
This book was a continuation of Book 1, which picked up where it left off. The angst, drama, and push/pull were off the charts, and the spiciness was decent. There was quite a lot of contention, but the twists and turns of the plot were more than enough to make up for any lack the book may have had. The worst part was the length and dullness of the inner monologues, topped by the unnecessary info dumping.
Both of the main characters were fully developed and mature, with a great deal of room to grow and adapt. Other characters filled in the gaps, with some of them having much more prominent roles than others, perhaps due to the fact they had their own stories written before this one.
Some plot twists were expected, while still others were a bit of a surprise, giving the book a more suspenseful turn than usual for a romance novel. Unfortunately, this made the story longer than necessary and more than a little boring at times. The fact that some of the issues remained unresolved...some of the more important issues at that...was a disappointment.
I only gave this story a three-star rating because of the duller aspects that detracted from the enjoyment of the story. It disrupted the flow of the relationship between the two main characters, causing it to drone on and on...and made it too easy to set aside and walk away from. Still, it was a good book...if you can hold on long enough to get through the drudgery of long-windedness. It was a decent conclusion to the duet.
Finally, the anticipated book two! The one all Nicole Abrams Fans have been waiting for!
This is the second book of the Secret Society Duet, that concludes a cliffhanger that left us all hanging on the edge of our seats in book one. This is a book that you need to have read the first one to know what exactly is going on, and who the players are within the novel. The dialogue and the way in which Nicole was able to pick up where that cliffhanger left us... complete *chef's kiss*. As a Nicole Abrams fan from the very beginning of her author career - you will not regret picking up this duet.
Book two focuses more on Phoenix and how exactly McKenzie came into and became a vital part of his life. We learn more about how he started going to the auctions and the plans in which he started in motion pertaining to them, and McKenzie. There are so many twists in turns, and so many truths that he has no clue about that when all is revealed he is seeing that so much of the past decade may not have been actually when he thought, or what it seemed.
McKenzie is still struggling with getting her memory back throughout this second book, but as more and more comes up she learns that not everyone she trusted, can actually be that - trusted. As the truths come out about each other it only strengths the bonds between Phoenix and McKenzie. There are so many twists and turns, that it would be doing you a disservice to reveal many of them. This is especially true with the plot twist that leaves you gasping out loud and throwing your book...kindle...e-reader... phone across the room (or couch).
Of course, Nicole doesn't leave us hanging... again; she gives us the HEA we have all been anticipating for Phoenix and McKenzie. And while the road leading to it is full of so many twists and turns and definitely not smooth, their bond is stronger because of it.
If that hasn't been enough to make you run and pick up the first book and then dive right into the second, I will sign off with this quote... "She's a drug that I'll never not be addicted to. She feeds my black soul. Even though I know I should give her up, I won't. Because I'm that selfish. She will always be mine. Always."
This is book 2 in a duet, and one I've been waiting for since I finished Book 1. Nicole continues to stun me with her storytelling. She sucks me in from chapter 1, and I'm finishing the book within 24 hours.
There's BDSM elements to this book that really drive my heart rate up; though it is on the light side of the spectrum, so nothing too overwhelming. It's the perfect amount of spice given the plot that takes me through all of the major emotions - rage, happiness, and heartbreaking (not necessarily in that order).
When it comes to plot, Nicole has me ugly crying with this one and makes me happy about it. Book 1 left me wondering who to trust, and this book delivers the answers that I needed and could not have anticipated. She delivered a hell of a villain in this duet, with accomplices, and I appreciate that almost every single one got their justice served. If you want to know more, you'll have to read it for yourself!
She has managed to bring together the Coming Home series with this duet; you do not need to read the Coming Home series first, but I highly recommend that series! The way she has woven these networks together made my heart soar, and as if I wasn't already anticipating the Vic and Liv novel, I am *extra* anxious about it now.
Thank you, Nicole, for yet another love story that I will hold in my memory. Plus an MMC in Nix that is officially my book boyfriend for life! This will forever be a duet I wish I could read for the first time!
I Will Find Her is the follow up to He Will Come For Me. You cannot read this without reading book one. It ended on a massive cliff hanger, which this book resolved.
McKenzie has a lot of memory loss, likely from the trauma of her kidnappings. Phoenix rescues her and she slowly begins falling in love with him.... except McKenzie was supposed to be Phoenix's prisoner. She was to be revenge for her father kidnapping Phoenix's mother. Phoenix has softened towards her and has fallen in love with her. Now McKenzie is finally remembering things, and Phoenix's lies are about to come to light... But his world is about to come crashing down as well.
Listen, Zade is still one of my all time top book boyfriends. But Phoenix? Phoenix is a CLOSE second. Despite the manipulation and lies to get where we are, he's top tier. Nix will do whatever is necessary to protect Kenz, and he's not afraid to make the hard decisions. His willingness to let Kenz recover at her own pace is admirable considering how controlling his personality is.
Anyways, I Will Find Her is available on Kindle Unlimited! Go check it out, but make sure you read book one first! Thank you Nicole for sending me the ARC, I'm so glad to have been included!!
I read this duet back to back and this picks up straight where book one left off. I really enjoyed the amnesia plot in this duet; although there wasn't the same level of reveal in book one regarding her relationship with Phoenix, there are some pretty dark moments uncovered in this one for McKenzie and it continues to unfold as her memories slowly come back.
I enjoyed the flashbacks to their highschool meetings as it showed both sides of Nix and McKenzie's past and cemented Nix's true motivations. I like how they both developed in this as McKenzie continued on the path she had already set out on and Nix became the man he should always have been. There were some great twists and turns which kept me engaged as they plot together to take out the Council out by the root and uncover some pretty shocking secrets along the way. It has great pacing, chemistry and a well deserved HEA for these characters.
My interpretation of the star system; 3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again 4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series 5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
I Will Find Her by Nicole Abrams is one of those wild rides that you’re so excited to hop on because you’re anticipating that adrenaline rush and that leaves you feeling breathless and wobbly legged when you hop off and it did not disappoint, so dang good! Make sure to read the first book in The Society Series, He Will Come For Me, or you won’t understand the second one.
This book focuses on McKenzie getting her memories back and with her and Phoenix being completely honest with each about everything. They go through quite a bit from beginning to end but their love never wavers.
I love that this book is from Phoenix’s perspective, seeing from a different angle is eye opening for me. I absolutely loved this whole storyline and I loved the way Nix and Kenzie came together to heal not only her but to help Anna and others. I love especially their chemistry and loyalty to each other and their closest friends.
I definitely recommend this dark, mafia romance with lots of spice and a HEA. Love it!
