My father saved the world once and he's working on saving it again, but I’m going to kill him. Even if the nanotech he pioneered might solve every problem facing the Earth, he still needs to die for what he did. I don’t care that I’ll get experimented on like a lab rat, that I’ll have to join his cult-like Institute and pretend to be his loyal follower like my hundred brothers and sisters, or that his tech makes him nearly invincible. I’ll pay whatever it costs, even my own mind, to get the power I need to take my revenge. I owe Mom that much. When teenage hacker Noah's mother dies, he's hauled off to meet and live with his absent father, the brilliant nanotech pioneer Tom Butler. On the remote desert campus of his father's Butler Institute, Noah meets the dozens of siblings he never knew he had, gets recruited into his father's grand plan to save the world, and begins to suspect that his mother's death might not have been the accident he thought it was. Torn between desires to use his new nanotech abilities to save the planet and exact vengeance, Noah must choose whether to join his father's mission to use the Institute's technology to solve the world's most pressing crises or sacrifice everything, even his own mind, in his quest for revenge.
I know that I am biased seeing as I know the author and all but this is a fun book. There is humor, drama, friendship, and just a touch of mystery. I love reading how Noah discovers his new world, family, and power--also what he is willing to sacrifice in order to revenge his mother. Looking forward to reading more in this series.
