Margaritas in Mexico

Rate this book
What happens when you come for the margaritas but end up intoxicated by more than just the tequila?

When Greer Gibson’s dream holiday with her boyfriend goes up in flames, she decides to swap heartbreak for sunshine.

Arriving at the luxury Mexican resort, Greer’s trip takes an unexpected turn when she’s swept up by the whirlwind of the Adamo family. Not to mention her undeniable attraction to Dean Adamo.

Still scarred from his divorce and married to his career, Dean came to Mexico to celebrate his mother’s 90th birthday, not fall in love. But as sparks fly between Greer and him, he’s rattled by desires he thought long extinguished.

Even as Greer surrenders to the allure of a vacation fling, she can’t help but wonder how things will end when the week is over.

As their connection deepens can Greer and Dean look beyond their past hurts to open themselves to the possibility of new love?

Escape to breathtaking beaches and stunning sunsets in this later in life, second chance, holiday romance.

What a truly delightful read! The romance, the family love, the travel and scenery and of course Nana! Greer Gibson’s holiday plans almost went up in smoke when the man who she thought she loved cancelled their vacation to Puerto Vallarta. He hadn’t cancelled Greer’s ticket or room, so she went without him! Meeting the Adamo family on the plane led to her being absorbed into Nana’s 90th Birthday Bash! Greer soon fell in love with the entire family who welcomed her. As she and Nana’s son Dean were paired off, a friendship soon blossomed into something more. He is divorced and has struggled to make up time missed with his older daughters, admitting that his priority was work as his wife took care of the children. Now, he realizes how much he missed and Greer is there to listen and encourage his attempts to show his daughters that he has always loved them. The attraction between Dean and Greer soon leads to beautiful nights together, but is this a holiday romance or have they found the other half they needed all along? I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)

I hope this author never quits writing these later in life second chance romances. There is a special quality and feel to them that I don't get with any other romances. Whether it's the accrued knowledge or another shot at love I'm not sure, but it feels different and richer and more special imo. Some people never get it right (ie: Conrad) and try to make others pay for their own mistakes. But when you do get it right like Greer and Dean you nurture it and hold it dear,, because love is special and everyone doesn't have it!! Nana was a total blast and added such depth and warmth to the story. Actually Dean's whole family was a dream come true- open, warm and welcoming. I enjoyed the journey and getting a front row seat into this romance. What a splendid ending. Kudos!

🏖Just wasn't for me🙁

This series has been a good one, with mature couples and satisfyingly second chance romances playing out in exotic locales. But this story set in a luxurious, all inclusive Mexican resort, just didn't do it for me. Maybe I've been spoiled by the previous European locales. All of the resort activity details and the way the female lead hitched herself to a huge family reunion (not HER family) and ended up romanced by the 90 year old matriarch's son in the midst of a packed schedule of family sports and excursions was not a plot that appealed all that much. And the storyline about her former love interest attempting to win her back seemed a bit OTT.

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

I just finished Margaritas in Mexico, and couldn’t wait to post my review. Another fabulous read in the Once Again series set on the warm beaches and stunning sunsets of Mexico.

Greer Gibson’s was packed and ready to go on dream holiday with her boyfriend until he accuses her of cheating and cancels their vacation. But she decides to go without him where she meets the Adamo family and especially Dean Adamo.

Greer falls in love with the entire family and Dean. I loved this book and Greer and Dean and the whole family. Who wouldn’t want a fun, lovable family like the Adamo’s? And I loved reading about the family almost as much as Greer and Dean falling in love. I recommend this book and the whole series.

Wow, this is such a fantastic book and worth re reading. I had so much fun reading this book. Greer’s boyfriend was such a jerk. Did he just break up with her before they went on vacation? Well, of course she still had to go. Loved how quickly she falls for Dean’s family, especially his Mom whom everyone called Nana. Is she falling for Dean? They agreed to a fling and it’s very hot. Loved them together. Loved staying on edge too, just how crazy is her ex? Thankfully they finally get their happy ever after. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.

I truly enjoyed this story of a couple closer to my own age who are still learning things about themselves and how love can encourage risk and growth. Dean, as a workaholic, short-changed his wife and children, creating hard feelings with his now-grown daughters. Greer had let her ex-husband make all the important decisions, including when to have children, then left her when she couldn't carry a pregnancy to term. Both have trust issues, and not just with others. Watching them become the people they could be, especially with help from each other, was heartwarming. The dialogue and action were realistic and the rest of the Adamo family were a trip! Highly recommended.

Real life strikes!

Jennifer Skully has done it again!

I love this once again series, if only for the older people involved. Yes, I'm one of those older people, but in my mind, I'm still 30. Also, love isn't just for the young!

In book 10, the holiday is in Mexico, obviously, and involves Greer, divorced, childless, and now single, and Dean also divorced but with two teenage daughters and his family.

Not to give away any surprises, but just the happy ending. The story is well written and flows beautifully. You can almost taste the margaritas and gorgeous food, and the sizzle between Greer and Dean fully erupts!

Roll on the Bahamas!

I really love this story, descriptive locale is very detailed and enlightening. The boldness of the characters and how they just accidentally meet but fit and complement one another so well. Even though this is fun and adventurous with mature adults, there's also nuggets of real-life relationship flags that are informative for all. As they boldly explore their mutual attraction, this steamy vacation fling smoothly transitions into real love and acceptance. Once again, another great story!! I received a free advanced copy and voluntarily chose to review.

Garbage .. I gave this one star for me getting through it without DNF-ing grammar errors , spelling mistakes.. a FMC who is supposed to be 55year old but described more like a 35year old .. wears a leopard print jumpsuit .. I can’t go on .. read if you want a mindless brain numbing romance ,
no depth.. the family characters were annoying ..
thankgod it was available on kindle unlimited and I didn’t have to pay for the book .. huge no

Are you up for "Margaritas in Mexico"? I was! I gulped this baby down!

What do you do when your dumped before your vacation? You go!

While there, a fling with Dean sounds like a plan! Or does it?

Might this vacation romance turn into more? I was staying in Mexico to find out!

Such an exciting, wonderful story with exceptional characters!

Too much smut

If I had known this story left nothing to the imagination when it comes to sex I would have passed.

Other than that it was a cute story.
