Life may throw punches, but love always wins.

Olivia

My life’s never been easy–so what do I do?

Make it harder by moving miles away from home, losing the support of my wealthy parents.

Now I’m waiting tables, struggling as a single mom. But at least I’m finally facing the memories that still haunt me.

I never expected to find a lifeline in my new boss, Wes.

We may be opposites, but somehow he’s been my rock.

So, when we’re both thrown curveballs and his wild solution is to offer me a marriage of convenience, I accept.

Sounds crazy, right?

But I’m out of options.

With my past continuing to cast a shadow over my life, Wes steps up, and suddenly, it’s not just about convenience anymore.

Wes

I’ve had a rough few years–dealing with my ex-wife’s betrayal, living the devastating consequences of past mistakes.

Let’s not forget keeping my family’s restaurant afloat after my parents retired.

And then Olivia comes into my life, fierce in her own right, standing by my side when everything’s falling apart. We both needed a solution.

So, I asked her to marry me–what’s a fake marriage between friends, right?

Except, in Olivia, I’ve found the other piece of my broken soul.

Together we’re facing the storm, fighting for a shot at something real.

But as challenges loom and old wounds threaten to reopen, I face a tough question.

Is our bond strong enough to hold us together? Book #3 in the Palm Cove series by Lauren Greene. Featuring a hero with a heart of gold, and the resilient beauty who captures his heart. Fight For Us is filled with swoony moments, personal growth, and a whole lot of steam. Happily ever after guaranteed.

I definitely enjoyed this one more than the second book, the first one is still my favorite in the series though.
I wish there was more done about the kids’ bullies, they needed someone to take care of that for real, at least kick the bullies out of school and not be “everything will be resolved soon”.
Anyway, I loved Olivia and her relationship with Wes. Of course he pissed me off at the end but it was to be expected.
I’m so curious about Damon though, especially with that snippet at the end, I’ll be reading his book next for sure.

This was my first read from this author and I did enjoy the book.

I enjoyed the Main characters as well as the side characters (especially the kids). This story was more emotional than what I’m use to reading.

2 people who survived tragic events and now they are trying to find where they fit in a future. What’s started off as a work/boss relationship turned into a friendship which later turned into so much more.

def a slow burn but once it hit it was good spice. Mr. Wes has a dirty mouth on him 😏

I did find this story a bit long. Some things could have not been said and the story would still have been good.

I absolutely loved the plot of this book, but just felt something was missing for me personally

The characters great personalities and growth. They bother suffered through terrible traumas and I wish they communicated these between each other a little more

All in all I did enjoy the story

If you love a my wife moment you will absolutely love Wes. He gives my wife moments before she is his wife.
I loved both of these characters they both have trauma but it is revealed and handled with such a natural progression. It does not feel forced because the main point of the story is bringing these two families together.
Wes and Olivia are both single parents who become fast friends when their kids meet and become friends. Situations arise from bullies at school to his ex-wife and her family which brings us to the marriage of convenience. You cannot help but love the way Wes treats her and the way they love each others kids it is heart warming.
There are moments that are hard hitting because of traumas of the past. I see many people say there is something missing. My feeling was that Olivia’s son Alex’s dad would show up and it didn’t happen but even without it I loved this story and I will go back and read the first two.
This is book 3 of the series and is a standalone. She is the sister of the FMC in Book 1. It is not necessary to read the first 2 but it will give more background on the side characters.

2/🌶️

This is the first book I've read by this author, and it being the 3rd in the series I thought I maybe lost on characters or such, but I never was, so this is a complete standalone and don't believe you need the other two to understand this story.

A love story between two single parents can either go smoothly or have some bumps and this story is one with some bumps.

I originally thought this was going to be a friends to lovers story, which is was but it turned into a marriage of convenience after while, and I think that kinda put pressure on their relationship and it felt weird after that, even though both these people have mutual pining for each other.

Wes has some serious issues with communication and trusting people and Olivia literally doesn't believe love is for her. So them getting into a MOC felt weird to me?? I guess.
Once they got over the wall they had and finally gave into their feelings I felt their connection again, and they do have a HEA, and there is kind of a 3rd act breakup, but not in the full extent of that.

It was a slow burn , like very sloooow burn, in my opinion, like they didn't miss until their wedding and that was past the 50% it was well written and I would definitely read more from this author.

Lauren Greene excels at writing engaging, emotionally complex, deliciously readable stories, and she's done it again with her third book in the Palm Cove series--Fight For Us!

This book hooked me from the very beginning, and when I wasn't reading it, I couldn't stop thinking about it! I loved immersing myself in Olivia and Wes's story. Their lives haven't been easy, and maybe never will be, but the way they eventually become each other's soft place to land is a beautiful thing to witness. While I hate to pick favorites, I think Olivia and Wes have stolen my top spot in this series!

Another wonderful part of this book is the inclusion of Olivia and Wes's kids-- their storylines add an additional layer of relatability and heart. And as usual, Lauren handles tough and sensitive topics with empathy and authenticity. It's clear that a lot of thought and research went into these characters, and I adored each of them ❤️

Thanks so much to Lauren for the ARC opportunity and for writing yet another book that made me laugh, sweat 🥵, cry and cheer!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can't wait to see what she writes next!

Fight For Us is the best book in the Plam Cove series.

I loved the authenticity of Olivia and Wes. Everything about them together and separate was just GAH! I wanted more time with them. Their relationship progresses so naturally and nothing feels forced. Their finding solidarity with each other was so endearing. I loved their insecurities and watching them fight, work, and live through them was amazing. It made an incredible story.

The slow-burn romance and the tension from the outside sources made the story engaging. Greene didn’t shy away from what it’s like to have a disability and trauma. She didn’t try to cover it with roses or go in with a skewed view of everyday life. She also didn’t shy away from the bullying that happened in the book but she didn’t lean into it either. She didn’t try to make a point or a statement about any of these things she presented it as how it was, making this book read like a glimpse into any household in the neighborhood. That's what made the read so compelling.

Seriously top-tier romcom!

This was my first read by Lauren and I did enjoy it very much.

It was interesting to see how she brought Olivia and Wes together, two single parents just trying to get through life and overcome betrayals. Their relationship changed over time, from boss & employee, to "friends", to a fake marriage of convenience. It was a true slow burn, really showing them on a deeper level individually and lettings them grow organically without feeling like it was rushed.
I really enjoyed Olivia as the female lead and seeing how she wanted to make things happen on her own. Wes gave me golden retriever vibes in a sense. Very loyal and so sweet. I will say it was a long read and some things could have been omitted out (sometimes less is more). That's the only reason this was a 4 star read. I loved the characters, the storyline and the plot. Lauren wrote a beautiful from com that ended beautifully in a HEA.

This was a cute rom-com read! I love branching out and reading new to me authors! This story included a disability rep, and it was a nice change for a love story! Wes and Olivia's story was a slow burn romance for sure, but they fit so nicely together! Their marriage of convenience turned actual love story was fun to read! All of the characters were heartwarming, and I especially loved how close the kiddos were with each other! So glad their families both got the HEA they deserved! <3

Subjective thoughts on…
Why was this book 3 stars for me? Overuse of nickname, some of the smut scenes weren't my cup of tea, and the story felt longer than needed in my opinion. Overall the love story aspect wrapped up nicely by the end, so it was still a well thought out storyline! Super sweet HEA and I’d still recommend to anyone wanting a cute rom-com! :)

What can I say about this book! It was one of my best reads in 2024. Fight for Us was a marriage of convenience book troupe and it was very well written.

We meant Oliva in the other Palm cove series books and from the beginning I was hoping we got her book and it glad we did!

Fight for Us is the story of Oliva and Wes both single parent with severe trauma. Both of the are trying to make it through life with and be the best parent to their children. Enter in the marriage of convenience, what stated as a marriage to help each other quickly became something else.

This book talks about trauma regarding SA so please read this carefully.

Thank you Lauren Greene for writing such a beautiful book. I laughed and cried big tears while reading, definitely a gem of a book!

ARC Review:

The way I couldn't put this book down. Wes is the embodiment of stop being mean to me or are going to fall in love with you. Those were the vibes that I got right out the jump with their adorable meet cute. Oliva and Wes are just two single parents trying to do the best that they can for their kids while still trying to figure everything out.

Both of them feeling deep pain and having fortresses surrounding themselves and their hearts. Seeing themselves as broken and unlovable and unwilling to accept what they feel for one another.

This story was adorable, devastating and everything I had hoped it would be

Wes is a shared custody single dad of a ten-year-old, Lilly, and owns a restaurant. Olivia is a full-time single mom of a ten-year-old, Alex, and just upended her entire life to go live closer to her sister and best friend. Both have their own baggage which they struggle with, but they find comfort in each other. This was a beautiful and realistic story of falling in love after trauma, of learning how to communicate and finding yourself as a parent, and how sometimes the obvious way is the right way, even if it’s hard. The ending felt a little rushed for me, but i really enjoyed this book and i loved the disability rep.

Talk about a sloooow burn! But when that spice hits 🤌🏼 *chefs kiss* I really enjoyed reading this story. Wes is a cook at his family owned restaurant and Olivia is a single mom who comes from a wealthy family that has recently moved to Florida. Olivia ends up becoming a waitress at the restaurant to make ends meet now that she’s not being helped by her parents. Olivia’s son and Wes’ daughter are the same age and become quick friends and although Wes and Olivia are very physically attracted to each other, they are both incredibly headstrong on the thought that they are each too messed up to be loved. You’ll have to read the story to see how the story unfolds!

Have you read the Palm Cove Series?

Well I did not. This is one of the first book I read! And it was a great book! Mostly definitely a slow burn! I fell in love with Wes! Him and Olivia had such a great relationship! But of course life gets in the way! People stepping in the way to ruin what was built! Does everything workout for them to be happy?
Well only one way to find out!
This was a great rom com book! I was going through laughters after laughters! But I did tear up towards the end of the book! I am mostly definitely have to go back and add the other part of the series into my collection!

The first book I've read of Lauren's and have to say I absolutely adore her writing and characters. She creates a story that is not only a slow burn but makes you want to just give the characters a hug sometimes. I love the fact that this book deals with many different issues that many real life people deal with from not knowing what you are doing to hoping you don't mess your kids up with your choices. This book is very much a found family and it's not always about the family that you're born into that have your back, it's the ones you find throughout your life.
Does everything work out for these two to be forever happy? Well there's only one way to find out.

4.5 🌟

💜 Dual POVs
🩶 Single Parents Romance
💜 Neighbors
🩶 He falls first
💜 Fake Marriage
🩶 Friends to Lovers
💜 Blended Family
🩶 Flirty Banter
💜 Disability Rep
🩶 Past Traumas

I loved reading about Wes and Olivia's friendship to their love story. How they first met was not ideal, but they needed each other. Their flirty banter with each other as friends and as a married couple.Their situations led them to a fake marriage to help each other. I really like reading about their blended family and how they connected smoothly. They have past traumas that make it difficult to open up to others. However, they might be the right people for each other. Such amazing read! 👏 I loved it 😍 ❤️

ARC Review: 3.5 ⭐️

This was such a refreshing read. The story line between Olivia and Wes amazing! Their marriage for convenience turning into true love was one of my favorites. I loved that their kids relationship nicely transitioned from friends to siblings ❤️
The writing was easy to read and flowed nicely.

My only complaint was some of the smut scenes, they turned from nice to cringey in some parts.

But all in all a GREAT read ❤️

ARC REVIEW!

Absolutely loved Olivia and Wes together, two single parents who both went through such traumatic experiences in their lives getting married for convenience and healing together was just so beautiful. The story was beautifully written and so easy to follow and fall in love with the characters and their development. Absolutely recommend reading. I will admit some of the “smutty” scenes were a little “cringe” for my taste but other than that the book was perfection!

Wes and Olivia are both dealing with their own demons, but together maybe they can calm each other. I enjoyed the sweetness of this book and the raw emotion as well. Wes is dealing with the death of his best friend along with the loss of his leg 8 years ago, and Olivia is raising her son alone after he was conceived because of a night she thankfully doesn’t remember. They have each other now and maybe that’s just what they need. A marriage of convenience can turn into more.

I devoured the Fight For series so fast.
Lauren Greene deals with PTSD, trauma, and mental health in such a compassionate and respectful way.
Fight for Us was definitely my favourite of the series. Olivia and Wes's story was a mix of longing, tension, and a whole lot of miscommunication (which usually annoys me, haha). The banter is not just between Olivia and Wes but Alex and Lilly, Val and Walt was pure gold.
I am looking forward to reading more from Lauren.

Olivia and Wes have gone through so much and the fact that they’re both single parents still dealing with past trauma. They’re so alike in the way they both would hide their true feelings from everyone, but Wes is now fighting for custody and proposes a fake marriage of convenience even after they already have chemistry with each other. Like HELLO JUST GET MARRIED FOR REAL but their story was amazing and I loved watching them slowly start to open up with each other 🤍

This was a great, and emotional, read for Wes and Olivia. These two are both single parents, have trauma in their backgrounds and end up with a friends-to-lovers to marriage-of-convenience to HEA through their journey. It is a slow burn romance but the spice is definitely spicy when it hits ;P With realistic issues plaguing them as parents, this really hit home. I enjoyed following them to their HEA and I'm looking forward to what's next by this author :D

Fight for Us which is the third book in the Palm Cove book series is unputdownable. It is very realistic and engaging. I loved Wes and Olivia, they are wonderful and complex characters. It was very moving to watch how they grow to trust each other and open up to their personal tragedies. The story is very romantic and entertaining. The relationships between the characters were heartwarming and the spice was excellent.

I promise the pet name “Tiger” is not as cute and sexy as you think it is!!!!!!!!!!! He could just call her by her name!!!!! This book was like bad whiplash and the dude gave me the ick. Like in my head he was a greasy loser with a bad attitude who smelled bad. AND NOT BECAUSE HE HAD A FAKE LEG. that was the coolest part about him.

Anyway, hard pass. Will not be reading the others in this series

I’ll be honest I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this or how it would turn out but wow I loved it! The storyline, the character and relationship building was perfect and didn’t feel forced or awkward. It didn’t feel like anything went too fast it was just right. I loved it so much and I thought it would be medium spice but wow it was so spicy and so good!!

I was such an emotional mess while reading this book. Seeing Olivia grow as a person not only though this book but the other, gives a reader hope.

Plus the spice 🤌🤌🤌 Hot dang Lauren knows how to write some good stuff man.

I cannot recommend the Palm Cove Series enough. It's full of protective and *attentive* men as well as strong women.

Dual POV, Spicy, Friends To Lovers, Single Parent MC's, Chef MMC, Protective MMC

A swoony, tender, possessive romance paired with the hard hitting emotional topics of healing after trauma, school bullying, and self worth. All of "my wife" moments in this book had my heart melting. Olivia and Wes romance is a slow burn swoony fest with care take, slight jealously, and all the protective vibes.

Wes baby!!!! I thought Shawn would be the OG but Wes gave him a run for the money!

I can’t pick a favorite.. but Wes is pretty darn perfect! Loved him and Olivia so much! Both had such good character development.

Marriage of convenience isn’t my favorite but if Lauren Greene writes it.. I’m reading it. Palm Cove series is 10/10 and I loved her take on marriage of convenience.

Wish we got more Lily/Wes moments. Even more Alex moments too but that’s just nitpicking bc I loved the kid characters!

I am a little late on finishing this, but I got an ARC of this, and it was so good. It didn't disappoint. I have read the other two in this series, and I am so in love with these two. Definitely had me crying. It was a very emotional read. I loved this, and of course, I gave it 5 stars. You won't be disappointed if you read it. I highly recommend it. I loved Olivia and Wes.

This was a fun and relaxing read about two broken people getting together through a marriage of convenience and blending families. It was a bit slow at the begining but it picked up after 30% of the book.
Was it a bit too long? Yes.
Would I do anything for a bit of Wes's dirty/sweet side? Absolutely.
