FBI Agent Jo Pullinger has her work cut out for her.
In the Windermere neighborhood of Seattle, the summer passes in a peaceful haze. Until a young sailing instructor turns up dead.
Eric Meyer was housesitting for a friend when someone took his life. Everything about the scene makes it look like a crime of passion. But who could have done it?
The owner of the house? The ex-girlfriend who never got over the breakup? The eccentric neighbor who seems obsessed with the case? Or maybe the mysterious figure who was seen outside the house the night Eric died.
It’s up to Jo Pullinger to answer these questions. Before a twisted killer slips through the cracks.
Fans of James Patterson, David Baldacci, and Harlan Coben will love this new series!
THOMAS FINCHAM holds a graduate degree in Economics. His travels throughout the world have given him an appreciation for other cultures and beliefs. He has lived in Africa, Asia, and North America. An avid reader of mysteries and thrillers, he decided to give writing a try. Several novels later, he can honestly say he has found his calling. He is married with two kids, and he lives in a hundred-year-old house. He is the author of LEE CALLAWAY series, the HYDER ALI series, the MARTIN RHODES series, and the ECHO ROSE series.
Not as interesting as most of the series - read on KU
There really weren't many twists to this book. At least, not interesting ones.
They talk about books getting picked up by publishers that are awful while other books that are great are sometimes rejected. They mention plot holes as an issue. Some of the books in this series have definitely had some plot holes. Certainly a lot of creative license.
There were grammatical errors in this book. More than in others, but not that many.
I'm not thrilled with Ted as Jo's love interest. He seems pretty boring. I guess it is good she isn't alone, but I don't really care to read about their relationship.
Several family dynamics at play in this story. A few different couples of potential interest, a new section of town, and working with Ford and Jo again. The duo is a great partnership and I love that they mention the trifecta this time around. The addition of a new cop was engaging and I hope we see more of his cold case passion in future books. The criminal was not surprising, but the confession was. I liked seeing Joe and hope that he is in more books!
A great mystery that keeps you guessing whodunnit right up til the final revelation, with more twists and turns than a rollercoaster ride. Loved the new detective, and the relationships between all the main law enforcement characters really kept me laughing. Can’t wait for the next story!
Great book…..finding a killer with so many suspects and evidence of all kinds. Jo, Bryan Ford, Dectective Adams and McKinley make a good team all working for the same cause….to solve the murder of a young g man who was house sitting. Full of suspense as they search for answers. Thomas Finch knows how to twist a plot.
Thomas Fincham surpasses himself with each Jo Pullinger novel. the best place to start this series is with book one. You will see the growth and Shock of how close it is to a real life investigation. This and any other books can easily stand alone. No spoilers. Happy reading
I have enjoyed reading this series of books. Agent Pullinger and her colleagues will keep your interest exploring all avenues to find the truth their humor and determination.
Anything Thomas Fincham writes is always a treat to read and enjoy. The characters always have a great feeling of cohesion and work well together. This book was no different. Just enough puzzle to try to guess the ending.
Well written, characters and plot line keep you reading and hard to put down until the end. This plot not as complex as some of the previous ones but no less enjoyable. I read this all the way through in one sitting.
Love every book in this series. Kept me entertained and wanting more.patiently waiting for booknumber8. Thomas finch man knows how to keep the action going.
A good read as usual from this author. He keeps one guessing who done it. The book is easy to read. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes murder mysteries.
