Eveline and Kyle’s Story . . .

Eveline Durville and Kyle Ox Mathews had been briefly intimate together until he discovered the fact that she worked for a major competitor of his. He quickly broke things off with her, although she is still in his thoughts. But when Eveline makes an important discovery that she needs help dealing with, she knows Kyle is the only one she can talk to about this. Knowing he would ignore her attempts to contact him directly, she sought Kyle out in person at his office. She had personally witnessed the shady, unethical things her boss Gerald was doing to the clients. And she knew it would escalate into something truly dangerous.

Now that she had the evidence she could show Kyle, she planned to lay it all out in front of him so he would believe her and help shut down Gerald’s business before people were seriously hurt by his actions. But Kyle lets his emotions get in the way and doesn't want anything to do with her, nor does he want to look at or acknowledge her “evidence”. When she hurriedly leaves his office, she had left the evidence behind. By the time he looks at it and realizes she was right, he calls to ask her to meet with him. However, she is attacked, threatened, and injured on the way to his office. When she gets to her feet, she struggles to get to Kyle’s office, even though it was now 7:30 in the evening. Taking the elevator to his floor, she falls unconscious just as he catches her in his arms. It appears that someone wants her dead, and it’s not hard to figure out who. Is he willing to work with her now, if only to keep her safe going forward? Will they be able to trust each other and find a way to stop Gerald?

Book 2 with Ox!!!

Ox has been close to my heart, ever since he tried so valiantly to keep Penni safe in Saving Penni. Poor man almost died trying. And his HEA has been a long time coming.

Ox and Eveline shared a passionate night months ago. And then he found out she worked for the competition, and kicked her out of his bed. But he couldn't get her out of his head, try as he might.

Eveline hasn't gotten over it either, and despite her fear of being rejected again, she turns to the only man she can truly trust when she uncovers illegal activities at her job. At first, he sends her packing, but when she stumbles into his offices after being attacked, his instincts take over and he'll do anything in his power to keep her safe.

They have immediate chemistry and man, you are rooting for them even as they both fight off their attraction.

Great action, steamy scenes, and cameos by so many of our favorites. I cannot wait until Irish and Julien get their own stories too. But for now, this Penni gives 5 stars to Ox.

Keeping Eveline (Book 2) is about Eveline Durville and Kyle “Ox” Matthews.

The FMC works for the MMC rival security company. She finds out that her boss is doing some shady stuff and goes to the MMC for help. Of course, the MMC wants nothing to do with her, but when two people have an insta attraction/connection/history towards one another, thats not an easy thing to do. With issues of trust, there’s a lot of push and pull going on between them (mostly with the MMC) that causes major problems but thankfully they’re able to work it out and get their HEA.

Overall, loved this. It’s an easy read with minor errors. However, I will say I wish there was a prologue of when they first met. I didn’t like how we start the book off with the after effect of them not liking one another. Yes, we later find out what happened but still. Other than that, A++

Eveline and Ox have a bit of a past, from a passionate one night stand gone awry
( him finding out she works for the competition).
Eveline comes across at her job some illegal doings by her boss and needs help. She goes to Ox because she knows she can trust him.
This does not turn out to well, because she walks out because she feels he does not believe her. In the meantime she is attacked and barely makes it to to Ox’s
and needs medical help. Can these two overcome and solve obstacles of
illegal dealings and have a Happily Ever After?

This book has edge odds your seat suspense, danger, intrigue and second chance romance.

I loved Keeping Eveline Book 2 of Alliez Security. I was so excited for this book I read it right away. Ox and Eveline had one amazing night ruined by his past. Months later she still can’t stop thinking of him and she desperately needs his help. She should have told him who she worked for but will he still hold it against her? Ox knew he made a mistake months ago pushing her away but he has trust issues. Now she is in danger and even though he may have a few niggling thoughts he still wants to protect her. Can he trust her is the question? He’s not letting her go this time and when she’s taken he will stop at nothing to get her back. I loved the storyline and the characters. He will overcome his trust issues to keep the love of his life. I would definitely recommend this book and the series. Can’t wait for the next book.

5 Star Review Keeping Eveline (Alliez Security #2) by Nicole Flockton

Nicole Flockton is a relatively new author to me and I am shocked that I have not come across her books before.

This was an entertaining romantic suspense story that ticked all the boxes for me. Well written, the narration was good and the narrators, Hugo Locke and Kingsley Rose were easy to listen to. From the first chapter I was hooked on the story that was told.

There were equal amounts of romance and suspense which was entertaining.The characters were easy to relate to and I really liked them. The chemistry between them was intense.

The secondary characters were just as entertaining and I will be looking at other books in the series ASAP. The narrators certainly did justice to the characters and the wonderful story that the author created.

Keeping Eveline is Book 2 of Alliez Security. It's a steamy lovers to enemies back to lovers, protector romance. Eveline and Kyle (Ox) had a hot one night stand months ago. But he found out she worked for his biggest competitor and kicked her to the curb. But he still thinks of her. Now, months later, Eveline has discovered her boss is quite shady and goes to Kyle for help, but he literally closes the door on her. She leaves evidence behind that he finally looks at and sees she is right. These two were so stubborn!! They would keep fighting against their attraction, but OMG is their chemistry smoldering. Eveline is in grave danger. Can Ox keep her safe? And will they get their HEA. This was a great read! I love this series so far!!.

Nicole gives us characters to root for once again. Oz is a leader that has been betrayed and trust does not come easily so when he finds out who he had in his bed he kicks her out. However, what happens when she comes to him for help? Will he help? Will he be able trust her and will they be able to get to the bottom of what's going on? Get ready for twists and turns that make this a page turner!

I’ve been waiting for Ox’s story and oh boy does Nicole Flockton get it done in a spectacular way!!!

With a past that has him shielding his heart, it’ll take a special person to make Ox open to an HEA and Eveline’s just the right heroine for him…. that is, if they can overcome the evil that is coming!

Brilliantly crafted storyline and beautiful characters!!!

This story was a sweet romantic suspense. Once Oz got over everything he was ALL in. And I loved it. Nicole Flockton hit it out of the park again. I can't wait to read about the rest of the team.

Keeping Eveline is a great addition to the Alliez Security series! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Eveline has a one night stand with Ox before he realizes that she works for a rival company. When Eveline finds trouble she comes to Ox. Sparks are flying between them, and they find themselves drawn to each other. Things are much more complicated than they seem, and the plot is a page turner. Nicole Flockton always writes great characters, and you can’t help for them to find their happily ever after. I can’t wait for the next book!

Eveline and “Ox” certainly do make and interesting pairing, and when she comes to him for help, I can really blame him for not wanting too, but this charming guy steps right in to help save her and boy do these two have some steam between them! Can he keep her safe though while trying to win her heart?.

Keeping Eveline

Book 2 in the Alliez Security series is for Kyle ‘Ox’ Matthews and Eveline Durville, and it’s a well written enjoyable read. Having shared one incredibly steamy night together, Kyle had just as soon thrown Eveline from his bed and his life, although is appears she has never left his thoughts, as his past fears came racing back to haunt him. Having nowhere else to turn Eveline finds herself in Kyle’s office desperately seeking help with what she’s uncovered in her current job. It would seem however, that Kyle still wants nothing to do with Eveline, despite the heat that flickers between them, he tosses her out of his office. His doubts begin to wane as the obvious danger ramps up and the twists keep coming. Thankfully Kyle’s true alpha nature kicks into high gear, and he’ll do whatever it takes to ensure Eveline’s safety.

This was a can’t put it down until the end addition to the Alliez Security series. A hot one night stand gone wrong as Kyle only sees Eveline as a betrayer by working for a rival company. Eveline is a strong smart woman and she discovers her boss has unethical business practices. She turns to Kyle for help but is rejected. From the start the storyline is engaging and suspense filled. A one night stand leads, It seems to always start that way. But really enjoyed Ox and Eveline's story. She discovers there is something off about her boss so she goes to Ox. Who doesn't want to see her. It's a up down ride from there but in the end they rekindle their relationship. Loved the characters excited to see who' story we get next.

We are back in LA with the new division of Alliez Security, run by former elite military men. Kyle/Ox Matthews is one of these men and the one in charge.
A few months ago, he fell hard for the woman he met in a bar, until he finds out she works for the opposing company. Feeling betrayed, she sends her off but that doesn’t stop him from thinking about her. He has his own nightmares to deal with and doesn’t need another one.
That is, until Eveline shows up in his office with evidence that would implicate her boss. He sends her off, though it appears that information was real. When Eveline returns a few nights later, and collapses in his office, all bets are off.
Will he be able to keep her safe and stay alive while doing so? Will his team be able to figure out what’s going on?
Will he open his heart once again?
While the story was engaging and the characters likable, it was more than that. It was a reminder that our past does in fact affects what we become in the present and the future.

This book is part of the Alliez Security Series and follows Eveline and Ox.

They meet at a bar and have a steamy one-night stand. Then things go sideways as Eveline works for a competing company and Ox feels like she was with him to gain information. He has major trust issues and even when Eveline tries to reason with him, he doesn't budge.

Eveline has been watching her boss and is worried that there is something shady going on so she starts making copies, etc. and decides she will bring it to Alliez.

She tries to get Ox to look at what she has put together, but he throws her out of his office.

Then one night, she decides to try again and is attacked. She makes her way to Ox and then he decides to look into what she thinks is going on.

This book has so many twists and turns and full of steam. Way to go Nicole. Fantastic read.

I love this team, they work hard and they have each other's backs. I love Eveline. She has had it rough, having spent her last high school year with child services She takes that adversity and makes it her strength. She takes her failed attempts at her first chosen profession and turns that into more strength. She knows she needs to protect herself and she takes the steps to move forward. Ox is a jerk at first and he stays a bit of a jerk here and there but he has reason to be a jerk but it still grates on the nerves. I love them together and I love that they take their slow burn and build it into so much more. I love the mystery and suspense and the action. This story is strong. The writing is good bit some of the wording catches me off guard. I will continue with this series.

Holy smokes, this story had me reading until I fell asleep in the middle of the page, literally. I could not stop reading, and I did not want to put it down. I was angry with Ox at the beginning of the book, but then I found out why he was that way to Eveline and that had me holding off on my thoughts. Who is Gerald, and how does Eveline know him? What she did and why she went to Ox and the way he treated her blew me away. When his explanation came later in the book, it made more sense why he reacted the way he did. Who are the Desert Snakes? What I learned about Gerald as I read, had me angry with him. What happened with Eveline and the things she went through in this book were tense. I am happy with the HEA and that love conquers all.

I love the story. Eveline and Kyle Ox Mathews had a one night stand and he kicked her out when he found out that she works for his competitor. He still thinks about her and her him. When she figures out that her boss is crooked, she goes to Ox for help. He doesn't even consider the evidence she has and he ends up making her mad. She is so angry that she leaves the evidence behind. Ox and his coworker look at the evidence after she leaves. He asks her to meet him to discuss the evidence and she is attacked before reaching his office. Their adventure begins.

Wow another great book! Loving this series.

This was about Eveline, who finds out something bad about her boss, and when she turns to Ox for help he is less than thrilled to help.

Eveline and Ox are like fire and water. They react first, well he mainly does till he learns to listen. Their chemistry is certainly fire once they start to enjoy each other.

Nicole Flockton writes a compelling story that really sweeps you along. I loved Ox as he had to learn along the way, but then so did Eveline.

I highly recommend this book and the series definitely. It was just so so good!!

Keeping Eveline is the 2nd book in the series, but it can easily be read as a standalone. It's an action-filled second-chance romance with very likeable main characters. Both Ox and Eveline have survived trauma and hardship before, but have to push through more before they find their HEA. it was great to see how their different perspectives cäme together to make them stronger in the end. Looking forward to the endearing team mates getting their own stories!.

This is the second book in this series, and this is Kyle / Ox and Evaline’s story.
This is a well written action packed, emotionally charged story, with enemies . lovers, trust issues, danger, suspense, intrigue, romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining, twisted, unpredictable and steamy addictive page turner.

just loved it.
the not knowing much about the adversary had me wondering if I wanted to, but the fact that I didn't had the plot turning to what and why.
i could see sinister storylines on the horizon but Nicole kept it subtle and that in itself was a suprise.
hadn't listened to these narrators before, but they both did well. really enjoyed book 2 with a developing undertow and cameo characters from book 1.

Eve definitely brings out the protector in Kyle though he does bring his big Jerk persona along. At times we want to smack him but as they fight their feelings sizzling things between them, it all heats up. Passion along with suspense & a couple of twist definitely keeps on you on edge with alot of questions to be answered. Exciting & brilliant as always! Honest review!

This is Ox "Kyle" and Eveline's story. When Eveline finds out her boss is into something bad, she goes to Ox for help. He's not thrilled to see her and kicks her out of his office but, when she is hurt and comes to his office, he's goes into alpha mode to help. There's danger, suspense, action and Ox fighting his feelings for Eveline that has you rooting for them.
