This is the second book in the “De Salvo Family Series” and my foray into dark mafia romance continues. Cristiano is captivated with Felicity from the start and he will not give her up for anyone, including Dante! This is such a beautiful love story - a love that will last forever, once her so called family is eliminated for good! A real life Romeo and Juliet love story with a poetic twist and a few liberties!
The story is very fast paced and full of twists and turns! You have danger, betrayal, love, tears, death, power, action and passion. The heat between Cris and Felicity is off the page 🥵🥵 There is never a dull moment! This book is everything you expect from a dark mafia romance!
I did not want it to end! From page to page, chapter to chapter, I could not put it down - you will metaphorically be on the edge of your chair! Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

I was given an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review and I can honestly say I loved it. Tropes include age gap (she’s 22, he’s 36,) dark, spicy mafia. Her brother is involved with the gang trying to invade the DeSalvo’s territory, so she’s become a target as well. However Cristiano DeSalvo, who is tasked with bringing her in, falls head over heels in love before he can bring her to one of the family’s houses to interrogate. He takes her to his home and shelters her while continuing to work through the war between the DeSalvo family and the Ink Blots. (Worst gang name ever!)
Additional notes: this is dark mafia, so there is quite a bit of on and off-page violence. The spicy scenes are graphic and abundant. There is also plus size representation. The story is written in third person POV, which may take a few chapters to ease into if you’re accustomed to reading the more popular duo first person POV most romance authors use. But it’s worth the change because the story is told so well, the characters so rich and the dialog real, even during some unreal scenes.
I give it a movie rating of NC17, 5/5 stars overall, 4/5 hearts for romance, 4/5 guns for violence, and 4/5 flames for spice. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

I haven't read book 1 by Rose Wulf but DEVOURED book 2!
I love reading mafia dark romances, and loved that this specific mafia book had an age-gap that kept things really interesting! The chemistry between Felicity and Cristiano was insane. He was very possessive. touch her and die, a bit morally gray at times, but made this whole storyline so much better with his possesiveness. The storyline was fast-paced, lots of plot and a good amount of spice. Even though Cristiano kidnapped her, he ends up really falling for her and that's RARE in mafia books (loved that Rose did something totally different). There were a lot of twists and it really was a great mafia read! I will be going back to read book 1 and the rest of the series once it publishes! :)

Rose Wulf may just make me a convert when it comes to 3rd person POV.
This is the 2nd book of hers I have read and am in love.
She does insta-love in a way that feels more believable than most. Felicity is young, but not a complete idiot which is really refreshing. She lacks certain life experience, so she may not be knowledgeable but she's not stupid.
Cristiano is a great example of discovering how the right person can change your whole mindset on how life is supposed to be. But, the struggle makes sense in this story. There aren't really moments of the plot taking priority over how the character would act based on what know about them.
I can't say enough good things.

What a great addition to this series. This is a fast paced story that keeps you turning those pages to find out what is going to happen. A another Mafia man that steals our hearts, although he a questionable character (kidnapping her for he own good) he is everything that you want, full on possessive alpha male (yes please).
This book will lead you on a journey of intrigue, twists, danger and a whole lot more, plus the passion and spice between these two. A fantastic read.

This was an amazing continuation. Cristiano is delicious and possessive. He’s an information extractor and enforcer and the moment he lays eyes on Felicity it’s over. She’s it for him. He will do anything to protect her even if it means going against his own family. I loved this book Rose Wulf’s writing is fantastic and captivating. The characters draw you in and you want to see what happens.
I’m so excited to read about Romeo and Grace!

This was a great second book for the series. It's a short series which is great for my attention span! Loved the plot of this one even more than the first. Normally I get bored at the plot. The first book is still my favourite though. Looking forward to the next one!

THE BEST FORM OF PROTECTION
Cristiano De Salvo can protect me any day or night!! I am going to keep this review short and sweet because if you've read Book 1, Rescued by the Mafia then you know you are in for an outstanding read with Protected by the Mafia, Rose Wulf has written all you need in a mafia tale, a tall, dark and dreamy kidnapper, the lucky damsel who has an instant connection despite her own personal demons and the ongoing saga which continue to build from Book 1. This series is an absolute must read.
