We’re only switching places for a week.

What could go wrong?

Turns out, everything.

When my identical twin sister Scarlett suggested we switch lives like we used to sometimes do to fool people and get each other out of tricky situations – okay, to get her out of tricky situations – I knew I had to say yes.

See, this time, I’m the one with a problem. I’m deathly afraid of flying, and the only way my boss will consider me for the role I’ve been working my whole life toward is if I take a private flight with the hottest new rock band on the scene and deliver a no-holds-barred interview with them.

Scarlett jumps at the chance to meet the band and swears she’ll get me that job. All I have to do is play cleaner for a week at the bachelor pad of some guy she lost a bet to. I don’t fully realize why she wanted to switch with me until I finally meet the residents of the house.

These four incredibly hot guys are a pack, and they’re insistent that Scarlett’s their Omega. They seem way too sweet and moral for my wayward sister’s taste, but they keep bringing out my perfume no matter how hard I try to act like I’m not into them.

I’m falling hard for these guys, and I can’t tell them I’m not their wild, sexy neighbor. They don’t know anything about her boring, quiet sister, Sapphire. So, what’s a girl supposed to do?

As far as they know, I’m Scarlett.

I’m theirs, and they don’t even know I exist.

Welcome to my life. It’s about to get complicated …

DNF @88%

I was managing until about halfway through - it wasn't great, wasn't intolerable either.

But at some point, the lack of complexity, the lack of world building, the campy, contrived, unbelievable storyline, the non-additive POV shifts, the poor grammar, the repetition... it starts to add up.

Even trying to ignore the flimsy storyline, there were such significant issues with the characters that it was impossible to feel any sort of chemistry, not only between Sapphire and the pack of alphas but between any of the alphas themselves. It was basically just a bunch of guys living in the same house, one of whom is written like he's Lennie Small.

In fact, the Alpha-Omega-Beta rules, dynamics, and social structure in this book are so vague and ill-defined that it feels like an afterthought that only gets dragged out when convenient to the plot.

Imagine you're on vacation with your best friend, you're on a booze cruise with a bunch of people when it suddenly starts to sink. Your best friend turns to you calmly and says, "Don't worry, I can control water," and you respond with, "Wow, really? I had no idea." Then she proceeds to propel the boat to shore, saving the day. As if that's just a totally normal day.

That's how this book operates - constantly bordering on deus ex machina, but without fully committing to it. A loose concept that remained a loose concept the entire way through, stabbing important pieces of information into the storyline like some impulsive adolescent.

And then we get the worst possible description of a "heat" in the history of the omegaverse.

Sapphire: Oh, no, my heat could be dangerous because I've suppressed it. This is a big deal!
Also Sapphire: *mild cramps* Oh, I'm in heat. Hey, can I have your knot? If not, it's cool. Also, I'm going to think about a lot of other things for 3 pages while you're inside me... maybe I'll make a packing list.
- gets knotted once-
Sapphire: Oh, heats broken, let's pack up my apartment and drive another few hours back to your house in the same night. Wait, how many hours has it been? Hmm, let's not think about time or facts because then it would actually have to make logical sense!

4.4 stars.
I Knew it. I Knew the grumpy one would be the one to set it all off.
Also. Let me just say, the hot man little kitten thing is always a win. Always. Reuben is such a cute man. And the names at the end?😂 What a goofball. So cute.

I will say. This book really didn’t make me wanna read anything about Scarlet. Like. She just seems terrible, and I don’t get why you’d think, after all of that, we’d wanna read about her getting her own pack…🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe that’s just me though.

Picked solely for the twin switch situation. It was sweet with no break ups or arguments. Another pop up ex that got off lightly. Not sure about Karma, but the other friends seemed nice enough. The whole cleaning thing was pointless, and it was a bit awkward that the guys though Scarlet was their mate. Bit obvious what would happen when Gus saw her, given he was kept away. Scout following up with his feelings as well. I was curious about Scarlet's story, but not sure about the whole plane crash thing. Felt like a bit of a lull with Ben tantrum thrown in.

Spice: 3/5 - slow burn

I just love a twin swap! Totally brings me back to Parent Trap. These twins have an amazing relationship but are still complete opposites. We have the FMC who is very type A while her sister (will have own story in book 2) is the outgoing everybody’s best friend type. Scarlet (not this twin) has always had everyone’s attention while Sapphire fell into the background where she’s most comfortable but this status-quo between them is what makes this story so great. The men in the pack next door to Scarlet think she is their true mate even though they don’t get along and she’s always mean to them, but they feel a connection. So they create a bet to get her to clean their house for a full week hoping that spending time together will get her to see they belong together. Sapphire is terrified of plane rides and in order to get a promotion at work has to take a plane ride to go interview her sisters favorite band, thus comes the plan to switch places.

Sapphire is instantly affected by the guys but she keeps a distance because she can tell they are in love with her sister who they think she is. Absolutely crazy watching them think they finally have a of Scarlet they like not realizing they actually are liking Sapphire.

Also, The guys are firefighters sooo who wouldn’t be obsessed with them!?

You’ll be just as obsessed as I was. Read in one sitting the second I downloaded this book.

DNF. I was looking forward to this book, but it didn't quite meet my high expectations. I stopped reading at 84% because I wasn't enjoying it. I liked most of the main characters, but I didn't like the choices they made. Maybe you'll like it more than I did, though! Watch my full book review here: https://youtu.be/EsHlcfRx3B8

𝗗𝗡𝗙 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘄....

I was digging the whole "twin switcharoo" idea, and I genuinely wanted to like this. But it was hard to immerse myself in the romance and story, when 3/4 of the mmcs have shown that they are dumb, shallow, and desperate 😐

I'll elaborate what I mean:

#𝟭. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝗻𝘁

First of all, I say that 3 of the mmcs are desperate because they have been pining and chasing after Sapphire's(fl) twin sister Scarlett for 3 years. Yes you heard correctly, THREE FREAKING YEARS!!!!!!

They've always been rejected by Scarlett and she's never given them the time of day. What's worse is that it was revealed she doesn't think highly of them, constantly calling them stupid, losers, dumb, etc.

So with all of this in mind, I don't understand why they kept bugging her in hopes of getting to know her, thinking that it'll possible lead to a relationship. I mean, they got so desperate to the point they had to STAGE a bet for her to lose to even get a chance to get to know her. And even with that, she was able to dodge the situation by having her sister (fl) do the punishment for her 😭. They never had a chance with her AT ALL 💀

I think this level of pining is cute ONLY when feelings are reciprocated between both parties or when it's more subtle. But in this situation, it only comes off as severely annoying because the mmcs continue to want to pursue Scarlett despite being rejected MULTIPLE times and the girl they want doesn't even seem to be likeable which they are AWARE of (Scarlett criticism will be near the end of this review 😁).

#𝟮. 𝗗𝘂𝗺𝗯 𝗯𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁

For a couple of dudes who have been desperate over a girl for three years, you'd think they'd be able to recognize if someone is disguising as her lol.

Yes, they were able to instantly notice that Scarlett (actually Sapphire) seemed different than usual, and they were able to recognize the quirks and habits that were off. BUT, despite noticing certain things, they don't fully come to the conclusion that Scarlett isn't actually Scarlett until it's REVEALED by Sapphire herself and Gus (the 4th mmc) which happens past the halfway mark. Are you kidding me?! 🤦‍♀️

I get that they didn't know the existence of Sapphire and they weren't expecting her to be Scarlett, I wouldn't have either. But, how did their curiosity not lead them to wanting to investigate things? Out of the 3 of them, Scout was the closest to finding out, but his suspicions never went anywhere for some reason..........

I genuinely believe that if it weren't for Sapphire and Gus, they still would've believed Sapphire is Scarlett until the end of the book, lol. Which is yikes to me, because I wanted them to find out on their own and I like mmcs that are more smarter than this.....

#𝟯. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲

Remember how I said 3/4 of the mmcs have been chasing and pining after Scarlett for three years? Yeah, it's because she's hot and they're convinced that she's their true mate LMAO. Not because she seems nice or her character is promising.

Gus (the 4th mmc) acknowledges that the other mmcs were well aware of her behavior towards them and that she had a frustrating attitude. Yet, the rest were so focused on her physical attractiveness and the IDEA of her being their mate that they were willing to delude themselves into believing that there's a reason for her bad attitude. Those are just very shallow reasons to pursue someone, especially for three years.

It's no wonder they were able to get over Scarlett so quickly after finding out Sapphire's real identity, despite being desperate for three years. They NEVER actually loved her. It was just a shallow and desperate crush.
---------------------
𝗦𝗼, 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻.....

I know I've been going on a rant about 3 of the mmcs, but despite everything above, I actually don't dislike them/see them as terrible people. I just see them as more annoying and dumb for their thought processes and decisions pertaining to Scarlett and Sapphire.

The only one character that I actively DISLIKED was Scarlett aka Sapphire's twin sister. Which I see as a feat because this book isn't even about Scarlett, yet through the little information I was able to learn about her, she comes off as IMMATURE, SELFISH, MEAN, and just overall HORRIBLE.

𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿:

》#1.) The only reason why she proposed the switcharoo idea in the first place was because she didn't want to go through with her punishment after losing a bet to the mmcs. She doesn't deny this when Sapphire mentions this, and she even had the audacity to justify this idea by saying Sapphire could relax and do something she likes (cleaning 🙄) to help get over her ex.

Only a few lines later does she find out that Sapphire needs to go on a plane for work, realizing that the switcharoo idea could be more helpful to Sapphire than she intially thought. Even after finding out about the whole plane situation, I found Scarlett's actions to be extremely tone deaf because she was giddy and excited about switching, while Sapphire was clearly heartbroken, stressed, unsure, and tired.

》#2.) Scarlett dumped her duty on to Sapphire, and she didn't even have the courtesy to warn Saph that the guys she'd be cleaning for are ALPHAS. I found that to be so irresponsible considering Saph is an OMEGA, who was going to be ALONE with FOUR RANDOM ALPHAS.

What makes it so much worse is when Sapphire talks to Scarlett about this, Scarlett just says "I'm sorry, I just thought you assumed. I didn't think it'd matter". Are you fvcking kidding???

From there, Scarlett CONTINUES to double down and doesn't sincerely apologize for possibly endangering her sister. Instead, she deflects by having the balls to try and justify her actions saying stuff like "it's okay, you never forget your suppressants", "you could have a fun week with a bunch of alphas you'll never meet again", and "you could use some fun".

I don't have even have a sister, yet I can say that Scarlett is an actual sh!tty sister. Her twin sister was expressing her anger and concern about not being warned properly, which Scarlett gave 0 fvcks about.

》#3.) Scarlett is so irresponsible that she just thinks men who are responsible and follows rules are dumb, boring, losers lmao.

Them (the mmcs): Legit firefighters who know about fire safety, telling Scarlett and her friends off for their bbq. One where a friend literally signed her bangs off for trying to light her cigarette with the bbq grill.

Her: They're dumb boring losers!!!

Them (the mmcs): Being responsible by advising their neighbors to not keep their empty trash cans on the street.

Her: They're dumb boring losers!!!

She's also immature for getting upset over people not liking her favorite band:

Them (the mmcs): Firefighters who don't appreciate an emo/rock band constantly singing about burning the whole world down.

Her: They're dumb boring losers!!!

Ya'll see where I'm going with her and her attitude? Lol.

I genuinely don't know how well the sequel is going to hold up considering the fl is going to be Scarlett. If she's THIS horrible in a book that isn't even centered around her, she's going to be insufferable in her own book. I feel bad for the mmcs who are going to be stuck with her, unless they're terrible too lmao. In that case, I pity the readers who are going to read the sequel. 💀
----------------------
I don't even have to comment or say anything about Sapphire (fl) and Gus (the 4th mmc) in this review. I loved them and they were great 😁 Sapphire is practically a loveable saint compared to her sister and Gus is a great mmc.

Despite all of my complaints and me not finishing, I'm still deciding to rate this book 3 stars because the story itself isn't intolerable. At the end of the day, it's entertaining and it got the job done. There's a good fl and at least one good mmc. The rest of the mmcs could've been written better, but I guess at least they aren't horrible or mean to the fl.

For me this was an interesting read…on one hand I loved the twins and their bond and how they support each other. On the other hand I hated that 3 of the 4 men thought that the wrong twin was their mate! That is why Gus is my favourite…and I love his instant connection to Sapphire when they meet! I did enjoy how different all the males are and that they all bring something unique and special to Sapphire and their connection but it really annoyed me how certain they were about Scarlett! Overall I enjoyed the read and seeing Sapphire come out of her shell and find her place in the world…and who could gate a book with firefighters..Heroes that run into burning buildings and look hot!
Interested to read Scarlett’s book now and see if she knew these four were for her twin!

These books always make me wish I had a twin growing up, plus it reminds me a little of the Parent Trap.

Sapphire and Scarlett are twins. They are total opposites. Sapphire is quiet and shy, with Scarlett being bold and outgoing. A lost bet, an airplane, a mixup, and fate change the twins lives forever.

Sapphire is one lucky omega. Ruben, Bishop, Gus, and Scout are fantastic. Exactly what Sapphire needs.

This book is sweet and on the lighter side. Definitely a book to cleanse the palate and make you laugh.

A cute and fun Omegaverse with very little angst and drama. This is about finding your true fated mate, and the journey it takes to get there. Yes, there are some ups and down, however, for me, this is intended for a light and reset read. Storyline is sweet, and you get your HEA right away. This sweet reads are always enjoyable to me, and good to come back to for a reset from either a dark romance, or a heavy book binge. To me this is my cozy comfort. Please enjoy.

Switched by Romy Lockhart is a sweet omegaverse twin swap. Written in MPV we really get to see everyones thoughts. I loved the characters, who wouldn't love some hot firefighters?  The story is slow-burn and really sweet.  There is some spice but not over the top there is definitely a lot more to this story. As usual it is hard to put down one of Lockhart’s omegaverse stories and I read through this one quickly. If you enjoy sweet omegaverses then Switched is a must-read!

I'm sad about the way this went, since I liked the premise and thought it had great angst potential. But all that potential gets thrown out the window in favor of ultra-condensed "relationship building" over the course of three days that should've taken up way more of the book.

Really the whole timeline should be lengthened, since most of the book takes place over the course of a week, with a few big time jumps at the end. What I would've liked to see is more time dedicated to their interactions after they realize that Sapphire isn't Scarlett, and repairing the damage they unknowingly did. Because the heroine having fated mates that pined for her sister for three years, when for her entire life Sapphire has lived in the shadow of Scarlett's spotlight... that's angst, baby.

But the book just says 'nah it's fine lol'. There's a lot of hair-splitting between them feeling a "connection" with Scarlett versus them being "attracted" to her.

The section after the identity reveal is so rushed, which sucks cause that should be the meatiest part. Instead, the first 20% of the book is dedicated to the sister that we won't see again (for the rest of this book at least) and the job that so why give it so much page time instead of dedicating that to the reconciling and them getting to know Sapphire?

I'd love to see this premise redone, the same one of a pack pursuing and courting a twin believed to be their fated mate when their actual fated mate is the other twin, but with more focus on the pack rebuilding trust with their actual mate. I liked the idea but wasn't a fan of the execution.

basically a teen comedy with a spicy omegaverse twist

The guys were sweet enough. If not a little dense for not picking up on cues. The spicy scenes were a bit bland but overall it was sweet and low stakes read.

That said, I always find most writers seem to have their own version of the Omegaverse. Some do a good job of laying it out in the story, some prefer to have a bit at the beginning explaining how it works. I don’t really have a preference most of time as long as the basics are established quickly. This one confused me.

—Spoilers below—

First, the whole thing with “the divine power of the fates” didn’t show up until like 60% of the way in and I don’t fully understand it. Sounds basically like some weird vision quest type thing where like they see each other’s souls or whatever. But it’s apparently not super common? And it just kind of…happened? Like fated mates isn’t uncommon, having it be revealed by a weird like spiritual light show is. And apparently it didn’t happen to the other three because they thought she was Scarlett? And it seemed to only actually happen to 2/4. So, it seems rare even with a true pack. But if it’s such a big deal why are her parents so dissmisive of the pack? Especially if mom is supposed to be more of a traditional Omega. Why would a traditional Omega be anti-pack? Especially anti-true “divine” fate matches? It’s not like she was set up to be one of those “I’m going to sell my daughter off” types or a “ my Omega daughter must have a pack at her level” types. So, it’s not super clear.

Second, bites/marks apparently mean like next to nothing. One of them talks about their ex-girlfriend getting marked/bit by another alpha who then rejected her which sounded horrifying to me. But there was no bond. So it was apparently less a rejected mate thing and more the equivalent to a jerk ex talking her into getting his name tattooed and then breaking up with her. FML basically says they are purely symbolic like wedding rings. It just shows that there is probably an Alpha that cares about their well being out there, but apparently provides not real protection beyond that or any sort of connection.

Third, Omegas apparently pretend to be Betas. It’s not super uncommon for that kind of thing to happen in Omegaversas but it was a little weird when she explained why and had the sort of typical “Omegas have to go to special Omega school” background and her Aloha didn’t know that. Like as an Alpha is seems weird he wouldn’t know that Omegas go to Onega school or have limited job opportunities.

I also feel like there was no real antagonist. She’s lying about her identity which is most of the drama for the first half. They felt a connection to her sister, which makes sense since she says she feels connected to her sister, so why wouldn’t they feel a connection too? Even if it’s not romantic/mate like. Truth comes out they are literally not mad at her for lying to them and entering their home under false pretenses. She’s mad at them for thinking her sister might be their mate, despite having her own on and off again boyfriend during most of that time. But then forgives them in like two days anyway. Aforementioned ex basically shows up in text form only like once pre-twin swap and then disappaears until near the end only to reappear just at the right time to be a jerk and get punched, then disappears again (for good this time) with no real fanfare. And she basically comes to terms with them pursuing her sister for three years overnight.

Rating- 3 ok
Heat- 3
Tropes- sweet omegaverse, MFMMM, fated mates, hidden identity

I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it.

The world building in Switched is murky. It seems to rely heavily on the reader being familiar with omegaverse while simultaneously changing familiar aspects. Sapphire is living as a beta because she couldn’t work as an omega. That is common, but we also get the sense that betas rule this world. We never see or hear of Sapphire coming across another alpha other than the MMCs. Omegas are supposedly very rare. The alphas have never knowingly met one. But her beta ex puts that her prefers omegas on his dating profile? If they are that rare, why? Another example is omegas being able to feel strong feelings from others is a common omegaverse trope, and it is just randomly thrown in with no explanation. Sapphire occasionally notices how others are feeling but rarely. Heats and knots are obviously included but they aren’t like any I have read before. Sapphire’s heat seems to come and go quickly, more like a spike in other books. There is none of the long drawn out heat haze or pain. It comes across as more horny with mild cramping.

For most of the book, the MMCs believe Sapphire to be her sister Scarlett. I’ve seen many reviews that criticize them for not figuring it out, but it didn’t bother me. Why would they suspect anything? If someone in your life is acting weird, you never think “Maybe they have a twin Im unaware of and they switched.” It would have been different if they had known Scarlett was a twin, but they didn’t. I do think there wasn’t enough groveling. While the guys didn’t technically do anything wrong, it would be so hurtful to have your fated mates want your twin.

The guys are a mix of distinct personalities. I liked all of them. The only character I disliked was Scarlett. Rueben’s ADHD was a bit overdone though. As someone with mild ADHD and a child that is severe, not once has anyone met us and asked what was wrong with us. Even severe ADHD doesn’t make one act like a excited child as Rueben does.

I liked the writing style of Lockhart. The plot was well written and interesting - definitely unique which was a nice change.

Characters - I liked the mmcs in general - but the fact that they didn't do better of questioning their connection with Scarlett was pretty crappy. I get that it wasn't their fault but if one alpha could tell something was up the others should have at least wondered why. Also Sapphire was wayyy too forgiving. She spent her entire life as her sister's shadow and these guys have been infatuated with her sister for THREE YEARS.

Plot - Started off great, but the ending just felt so rushed. Her heat was coming so it didn't really give her time to get to know the guys. It felt like they still knew fa more about Scarlett than Sapphire, and personally, if I had lived in my twin's shadow for my entire life I would want the guys to get to know more about me so they could really make the decision of being with me for me. They were obsessed with Scarlett from only knowing surface level stuff, and then ended up doing the same with Sapphire - except they knew EVEN LESS because she had spent the last few days pretending to be her sister?

Also we got no time with Gus. He avoided Sapphire for the first half of the book, finally connects with her at the beginning of the second half, and then she spends most of her time with the other mmcs for the rest of the book? He was the only one that actually made her felt seen and yet he is who we see the least of.

I skimmed the last 10% honestly. :/ Started off so strong too.

Also based on how the guys described the sister I am definitely not interested in reading her story. She sounds like a nightmare.

Truly impressively bad. I don’t even know where to start.
1. Rueben is treated like a 5 year old child basically the whole book. The other MMCs even talk about how annoying they find him and how he talks too much and they just tune him out. Bishop acts more like a father than a pack mate with how he’s constantly scolding him, telling him to go to his room, etc.
2. The way Scarlett was so mad at the 3 MMCs but then immediately forgave them about 2 hours later with no groveling involved
3. Scarlett just gave up her whole life to go live with them?? After she had a crisis about who was going to live where because she didn’t want to throw away all the effort she’s put into her career?
4. The world building was lacking. The whole “guided by the fates” thing really came out of nowhere where and wasn’t really explained. Being able to actually feel the others feelings vividly was just kind of dropped in there. At the end it felt like it was implied she could control their knots with her thoughts?? Alpha leaning Betas also weren’t elaborated on. They just sound like Betas with a complex?
Definitely had more issues but I don’t even want to waste more time thinking about this book

Sapphire has just come out of a bad relationship when she realises her on off boyfriend of three years has been cheating all along. To make matters worse to get her job promotion she has to fly out to interview a band ... and she has a fear of flying! Twin sister to the rescue. Scarlett suggests they do a twin swop, she can go on the plane and do the interview, of her favourite band no less, while Sapphire can take her place as she has lost a bet and is supposed to clean her neighbours house for a week! What could possibly go wrong?

I fell in love with this book and the characters instantly. It's one of those books that you read very quickly because it is difficult to put down and when you do put it down you pick it up again as soon as possible. There is a good storyline, nothing complicated, very easy to follow and it's sweet and steamy in equal parts. Fated mates is one of the tropes that really calls to me so I loved that Sapphire was their true mate although the fact that three of the four guys originally thought Scarlett was their true mate caused more than a few problems! I'm really looking forward to reading Scarlett's story next on her half of the twin swop

So cute!

So I had to get this book as soon as I read identical twin sister switch places. The only thing that makes it even better is when you make it omegaverse with sweet alphas...who might be boring for one sister but perfect for the other.

Sapphire has a big problem, besides a cheating ex beta boyfriend, her boss needs her to get on a plane. She agrees to grain a promotion, but the thought is making her a little sick. In swoops her identical twin sister with a solution. Switch places. Sapphire can take a week away from her broken heart (honoring her sister's cleaning bet with her neighbors) and Scarlett will fly to and interview the band. Simple!

Things get murkier when Sapphire meets her sister's neighbors. It gets even worse when she realizes that she likes them and they think she's her sister... And they're mate. Oh...except one of the guys in the pack never believed Scarlett was their mate, and is determined to drive away Sapphire from his pack.

I really enjoyed this story and I'm looking forward to hearing what happened to Scarlett in the future.

This sweet twinswap will have you swooning over Gus.
When the pack is convinced their true mate is Scarlett, the pretty party-girl, songwriter living next door, Gus is the only one seeing her for a pretty face that isn’t right for them. Combined with the fact that she wants nothing to do with them, this makes for an interesting dilemma. In a last efford to get her attention, they make a bet with her and she ends up having to spend the week cleaning their house - but she talks her sister, Sapphire into taking her place and she is more than willing, since her job has put her on the trajectory to board a plane to get her desired promotion - Sapphire is terrified of flying.
This really is almost suggery sweet - a bit too much for me and why I can’t give it 5* - but it is a really good story with plenty of funny moments and heat.
If you LOVE the sweet romance genre, but do want some smut, then this is a definite must-read for you.

This book was sooooo good! As I started reading it I knew I wasn’t going to be able to put it down. I was a real nice cute omegaverse story, I was honestly gutted when it ended.
Our FMC Sapphire swaps lives for a week with her twin sister Scarlett. Scarlett loses a bet and has to clean the neighbours house for a week, she doesn’t want to do this and swaps lives with her sister. When Sapphire goes to the house she is shocked to find it’s a pack of alphas, who are all interested in “Scarlett”. Sapphire is attracted to them and is gutted that they are interested in “Scarlett” she knows Scarlett is not interested in them in the slightest.
The guys (apart from Gus) are convinced Scarlett is their fated mate.
When things get a bit more intense Sapphire goes to tell them who she really is, but when she meets Gus for the first time he knows that she isn’t Scarlett and that’s when the mate bond is accepted!
If I say anymore it will spoil it to much!
I soooo cannot wait for Scarlett’s story!

Sapphire just broke up with her cheating boyfriend and faces an impossible situation at work - she gets promoted only if she faces one of her biggest fears and flies to interview the favorite band of her twin sister. When Scarlett comes to visit and cheer up Sapphire, the idea to swap places is an inevitable outcome, knowing Scarlett, especially if she lost a bet with her neighbors and now has to clean up their house for a week. Week is a long time though for something to go wrong..
I am normally not a fan of omegaverse in general, but I made an exception and read this book on vacation, lying on the beach - and it was a great match. The story is sweet, with really nice atmosphere and kind characters, where most of the drama is coming out of relationships, but nothing too severe. I believe Scarlett's story will be more dramatic, but I quite liked how Sapphire matched with the guys and found her happiness.

I’ve really enjoyed reading this book. It has been great escapism. The story follows one twin while she is pretending to be the other. Only while she is pretending she find her fated mates but they think they are fated to her twin. Will they understand the swapping and still want her, does she even want them if they want her sister. Lots of detail and world building plus lots of character development as the story follows the groups story. Does Sapphire want to carry on living her life as a beta or does she want to embrace her omega side and her potentially fated mates. What is her sister doing while on her assignment for work? Does she even care about her job anymore now she may have found her mates? Can’t wait for the second part of this story which I assume will be from the other twins Scarlett’s pov.

It was good until after the halfway mark. Wasn’t a fan of randomly adding in ‘fates’. It felt awkward. The characters had no heat at all. They felt like roommates, not lovers. The author completely took away any personality from the main character. She started out wanting a new position then in the last 3rd of the book, the author just flipped and made her not care at all for her previous life. Even though that’s why she didn’t want to mate. Why even add that in if she was literally going to ask for a mate mark the next day?! The author rushed the matings. She was supposed to take time to forgive the guys. Guess it only took her 1 day. Her insecurities she had just seemed to disappear. Very dull story line. Would have been way more fun if the character had to keep doing things out of her comfort zone not to get caught. Or even having her get caught somehow.

Oh my gosh I never knew I needed to read something similar to the movie Freaky Friday, except make it twins and naughty. Sapphire and Scarlet are twins, that even though they're omegas, have people believing they are betas. Even though they're twins, they couldn't be more opposites in their personalities.

With the title of the book we know what's going to happen. They switch places when they both have things that are testing their different limits, what could possibly happen. The next door neighbors are what happen to Sapphire, especially when they turn out to be her fated mates.

This story is just sweet enough, and I really liked the guys in this story too. Even though it's slow burn it makes sense to fit how everything is unraveling.

Can't wait for Scarlet's story next!

Good story but a little off

The story was cute and a classic twin swap. However it is the *special* scenes that are just very lacking. My biggest pet peeve are scenes when they go 0 to 100 with no prep work. It does not matter how “wet” you are, if there is no stretching to get ready then that’s not going to work. It’s hot to read about the lead up, so please write it. Zero prep work for the back door to instant full on plus double knotting… seriously? Plus it was a little weird the talking they had during. For instance they guy saying how much he likes it then the girl responding, just wait it gets better… it was awkward. Those scenes kind of gave me the vibe the person writing them lacks experience. Ps you wrote scout marked her twice but Gus never did… sad face

After finding out her on again/ off again beta boyfriend has been trawling the dating sites for other women, Sapphire has a breakdown that her twin sister, Scarlet, senses and rushes over with ice cream and karaoke!
After realising Sapphire has to get on a plane to keep her job and Scarlet has to clean the house of her boring nextdoor neighbors they decide the best course of action is to twin swap so each gets to do the thing they are strongest at.

After meeting the nextdoor Alphas, Sapphire realises that keeping her Omega designation a secret is going to be much harder than she thought and also continuing to pretend to be Scarlet might be more damaging than she ever thought possible.

Sweet story, with a little bit of spice

I felt like the author wasted too much time on the fake identity. Everything felt rushed and too short once the alphas found out who Shapphire was. They barely got to spend time with the real her.

I also didn't like how she opened up to Gus first and in a way "punished" Bishop, Scout, and Rueben for mistaking her twin sister as their mate. I honestly felt bad for them. It wasn't like they intentionally meant to hurt her. It was more a case of hopeless romantic and biology mixup. It also wasn't like they treated her horribly. These guys were probably the nicest alphas I've ever read so they didn't deserve her "wrath". She was technically at fault too for lying about her identity.

Great Read.

This is a great story that had me hooked right from the start and I couldn't out it down. I loved the omegaverse plus twin swap. In this book we get Sapphires story. I loved the humor throughout the book. I loved that its told in multiple POV so we see the guys side of what's happening. I love Sapphire and her guys together. Don't Lockhart did a great job creating great characters not just our main lady and her men but all the others as well. I can't wait to read Scarlett's story.

Sweet perfection

I adore the sweet omegaverse world. When Sapphire is placed in a life changing situation, her twin sister Scarlet comes to comfort her. Thinking that swapping placed will help them both out of a situation that neither are comfortable in, things get really crazy when Sapphire has feelings for her sisters neighbors, who think Scarlet is their fated mate. Except Gus, who sees Sapphire for who she truly is. This is a well written page turner to see if Sapphire gets her HEA.
