I’ve been a kept Omega for longer than I can remember. My handler bought me from my parents when I presented at 10 years old because he likes his omegas young and innocent. Yes, it’s just as bad as it sounds.
Now my life is pain and misery, but it’s routine so it’s manageable until my handler announces he’s selling me at Auction. The hormone suppressants aren’t working anymore, and I’m simply too old for him now. I’m shaking in my skin as I wait my turn to walk across the stage when I smell the most delicious scent.
Why is Fate such a bitch? Somewhere in the crowd of lewd, loud screaming men and women is my scent match.
My past is Knot my Sin, but I don’t know what the future has in store for me.
This is a dark reverse harem Omegaverse story filled with triggers. The alphas grovel hard, unaliving anyone who hurts her.
I wanted to love this so badly, but it was a hard no for me.
The constant pet names get really annoying. In every other sentence there's a pet name, and it just feels unnecessary. The dialogue itself is really forced in a lot of places, too. There were so many spots where something meaningful could have been done and it just wasn't.
The way Wren talks about her trauma made me roll my eyes more than once I'm sorry. It's just so inconsistent. One second she's having horrific nightmares and the next she's totally fine with having sex with strangers and talking all nonchalant. Make it make sense? She's either this broken down omega that's terrified of alphas and men or she's sleeping with four strangers within a week of knowing them. The insta love/lust here does not work for me. I wish it was spread out over months.
Nothing really worked for me. They were so over the top ridiculous in a lot of places I just had such a hard time getting into the story or even really caring about the characters. The first few chapters I was HOOKED and pumped and it just fell apart.
I had a lot of feelings about this. It is VERY, very similar to Pack Darling. I almost found it to be too similar, but whatever. I’ll leave that little comparison alone.
The groveling? Not enough. AT. FUCKING. ALL. In fact, it was nearly nonexistent.
I also found it weird that FMC went through a decade of extreme SA, trafficking, abuse, and torture by a pedophile but was perfectly fine jumping in bed with the alphas almost immediately. She was docile and fragile at first but almost instantly had a backbone and was horny. It was…rushed? Idk. It just felt off to me.
1 out of 3 of FMCs brothers makes an appearance, but we get no information about where the other two are and they never show up. Weird af plot hole to leave hanging.
That being said, it was okay. 🤷🏻♀️ Was it as satisfying as PD? No, but it is what it is and it was still entertaining.
I cannot believe how many 5 stars this book got. The writing is so basic and literal. All tell and no show. There's a line where one mmc says to himself "I'm learning so much from watching them." Like what? What are you learning that is so illuminating?
There is no energy in this writing. It's all just literally what exactly is happening. The plot is OTT, the Alphas talk about grovelling but don't actually do it, and the fmc omega just gets knot-matized and forgives.
A bunch of characters are introduced in the last 2 chapters to try to hook you into reading the next one. But the writing isn't worth it.
RTC just putting down my thoughts here while I can:
* Two omegas (FMC and MMC1). * Misogyny, as the pack FMC eventually is sold to are “men and females” type of people. * FMC has been r*ped and abused for a decade and is just…fine. * Everyone is chuckling and flirting while the FMC is basically recovering from a near-death experience—and she’s not laughing back. * She so easily just slots herself into the lives of a pack who sent her to die. There is one scene where she seemed ready to not give them the time of day, but that all kinda...goes away... * Groveling is persuading FMC not to think or make her own choices and sexing her up. * FMC’s older brother is the pack’s client in finding the FMC (which they hadn’t known before buying her at the auction). Pack treated her terribly yet get upset when the brother is rightfully horrified his sister was abused. * And FMC’s abuse is resolved at around 20%. In a 450-page novel. And we just kinda…move on with heats and all that.
Got it.
🙃
What would have made this 2.75 stars rounded up to 3 stars into at least 4 stars?
Honestly?Make the FMC withdraw completely after the pack “let” her go. The doctor said to watch out for her being on su*c*de watch? Don’t be a coward then; show that intensity. Show the HURT. Show me so much hurt and angst before we dive right into "these hot men".
However, this was another case of an author who saw a CSA as a really cool abuse story 🤩 and then never wanted to touch the subject, just wanted CSA and its trauma to be cured through sex.
I just wanted…less erotica and more healing. That's all I can think of. I enjoy hurt/comfort because of how much emotion you can put into it and describe. The hurt rips you apart. The comfort pulls you back together again. The ending makes you relieved and exhausted in a good way. But when the eroticism is 90% and the hurt/comfort is 10%, I feel duped.
Only reason this book had more than 2⭐️ is that the summary was intriguing and the angst for about five seconds (when the remorse hits the pack and the doctor who checks in on the FMC is basically letting them know she's in a fragile state) was good.

1. This book was ridiculous. a. The guys treated Wren terribly after they bought her; they dumped her in a freezing cold basement overnight without a thought for whether she was cold, hungry or thirsty. And then, they kept saying, “We’re horrible at this!” like common decency toward another living being was something that they didn’t understand. After that, their Omega pointed out that treating Omegas well was supposed to be instinctive to them and then all of a sudden, they were all freaking out and desperate to find Wren. b. Jasper had supposedly been looking for his sister for years since his parents sold her. He told the guys that she’d been sold when she was ten. Yet, he apparently told the guys to look for someone “under 16” when his sister was actually 20. No matter how long it had been since he’d seen her, if he knew she was 10 when she was sold, how he possibly not know how old she was now? 2. WAY too dark for me. I’m out. DNF at 11%.

Tell me you're hooked without saying you're hooked—Knot My Sin is a savage masterpiece that left me gasping for air. Just when I thought I was prepared for anything, Jenn came in hotttttttt with a raw, gritty narrative that had a chokehold on me from the first page.
Wren's journey tore at my heartstrings - ripped my soul from my body at times BUT her growth and resilience a testament to Jenn's masterful storytelling. She may have thought herself broken, but that omega was strong af.
And don't even get me started on Pack Mohan—their redemption had me rooting for them despite their flaws. Did I want them to grovel - heck yes. Did they grovel? Absolutely. Were they unhinged? Yes, at times. Did I love it? 100%. They were 100000% Team Wren, once they pulled their head out of their petunias.
With every turn of the page, the intensity of the romance and the characters' development left me breathless. This book deserves more stars than I can count—it's a must-read for anyone craving a soul-shaking experience.
I could not finish this. Raped and abused for 10 years…. Goes with this pack, they treat her like dirt and everything is ok few chapters in?! Are you kidding me?! She was sold and then raped for 10 years. This is a slap in the face. This is The Beta all over again. There is no heroine in the story or no heroes. This is abuse glossed over. This is teaching women to accept less, to take less and to roll over.
Atleast give us the illusion of healing and a couple sentences of groveling from the so-called pack before you have the h roll over.
I'm not sure what to say about this. It was gratuitous and shock value oriented and not in a good way. I couldn't finish. The writing was very pedantic.
I wish I loved this. The plot is giving Pack Darling vibes! I was SOOOO here for it. Tortured omega (sex slave since 10) finds pack, they abandon her and realize almost too late she's one of their scent matches and now they have two omegas and their first is OBSESSED with their second. How much more Pack Darling could you get. But no, seriously, this was Pack Darling meets DoV, and those are two of my FAVORITE books.
I really struggled with deciphering who was who. I feel like the alphas could have used some more separation in the personalities.
There were a lot of points where I felt like things were overexplained. I would have liked to see things 'play out' more. The characters seemed hyper aware of themselves at times, and it didn't allow for nuance.
There was a lot that happened, but it seemed like there was only telling right rather than showing the reader.
I do recognize that the genres as a whole don't necessarily have to follow a strict guideline but I do think omegaverse is an outlier where some things should always be true and I felt like this missed that mark.
- the alpha should always be utterly devoted to and obsessed with their omega by the end of the book, regardless of the type of world built, IF ITS an HEA. - Shaw's attention was to the 'original' omega, who was not his scent match. When she was kidnapped, Shaw was taking care of the other omega after they were rescued. And I absolutely grasped the original omega, and him had more history happened. However, finding your mate scent match should supersede that.
I felt like the inconsistencies kept me falling out of the world. - the time jump was it 6 or 10 yrs - 1 minute he hates peanut butter. Several chapters later, he is eating it. - in the beginning of the story, it was explained that he rapiat trained away her gag reflex, but she has it later on.
Her mates refer to her abuser/kidnapper/rapist as her alpha.
The number of times they call themselves made men or reminded the reader that the wives of the men were mafia wives pulled me out of the story
I think the torture scene kinda ring some bells for me as a medical professional because I was like they'd be dead by now.
I absolutely recognized that almost purely sexual relationships can occur and are not rare. However, it wasn't clear with the alphas and wasn't fleshed out what was really happening.
2.80 stars not tha good. Alright omegaverse with two omega's but. There were also some problems. Since Wren is Shaw's mate, I wish they were closer. Shaw is closer to Flynn than he is to Wren.Flynn's mates are Everet and Amb, not Shaw. There are some problems that, I don't understand how they get to a seat while in the garden in one episode.
What I like about this book MMM relationships are well written. On the other hand MFM or MF relationship are not that good. MMMF theme is good and I want to read perfect book like that but this one is trash 🗑️.Some books are full of Alphas who exclude, denigrate and despise FMC. There isn't much of that in this book, of course at first I cursed at every MMC, including Omega, but then it got better, but then it goes really bad. They needed to crawl a lot more than they grovel.
The reason I'm mad at the male omega is SPOILERS here. If you knew that the girl was innocent and there was something attracting you to her, you should have insisted that they take her to a room. Instead he went and fucked upstairs. He didn't come for heat either, I wish he had stopped being a little horny. He should help the girl who's been through hell. All the alphas almost killed the girl, they starved her, she almost died of cold right there. Then they did everything to get the girl to leave, then she left, but they realized that the girl had entered the heat. Then they argued for almost five hours about whether we should go after the girl or not, but when they went, it was too late. She's gone. I think they found the girl after 3 days. Can you imagine? Staying in Heat for 3 days, cramps, aches, pains, desire to commit suicide, the girl almost lost her mind.
I think they should have found a professional for the girl's mental health. But they didn't. They literally waited for the girl to get better on her own, I'm sure they would have handled it differently if Flynn was in this situation. The girl has already been abused for 10 years. I don't think anyone was upset enough.
this book can be improved further. Plot is good similar to Pack Darling series. Characters not good and they are not perfect. Ending is It could be better. It seemed to me that Flynn's heat was more than Wren's heat... I literally expected Shaw and Wren to fuck each other hard, but all I got was Shaw spending time with Flynn. I was disappointed. Shaw and Wren could be a good couple. the fact that they want to get to her because she's there scent mate otherwise they would forget her like she's nothing.

I am 9% in and I have problems with this book. The writing is very basic and almost blunt. The MMC keeps referring to the male omegas tight little ass way too much and for people who have just purchased the FMC and knowing she has probably not come from a good place, they are complete assholes (excuse the language). They put her in a basement room and throw her some blankets, she’ll be fine and not even thinking to feed her. I’m not sure if I can continue… 21% in and I’ll be honest, it isn’t getting much better. They only start treating her kindly and start regretting their choices when a) their omega starts being a brat about it and b) when one of them realises that she is his scent match… oh and they realise she is the one they have potentially been looking for. I have 0 triggers and I get being assholes but how about not behaving like spoilt narcissistic dickheads to someone you know is traumatised? There is not nearly enough grovelling for what they did, and I despise that they can even be considered redeemed - what if she hadn’t been their scent match or Flynn hadn’t felt as strongly about her as he did - would it have made it okay how they treated her?

The word "tight" is used 116 times. Tight ass, tight pussy, tight hole. We get it. Okay? Everything is tight. It is so gringe when someone says "fuck my TIGHT hole"
They get her, and just start treating her awfully.. throw in the basement where it’s super cold with nothing but a small blanket and “forget” to feed her.. kick her out with the excuse that “youre free now so f**k off.. we dont need or want another omega.” They figure they bought her freedom for her and did their good deed so now she can leave.
Theyre all feeling super pulled toward her and it’s freaking them out because theyre already bonded to Flynn, their male Omega. Flynn is the only one who treats her well at the start.. he feeds her and tries to talk to her and bathe her and stuff.
Shes wearing de-scenter that they put on her at the “event” where she was… paid for… and they dont smell her scent at all, but theyre still pulled toward her.
They let her go.. she walks out of the house and leaves. Theyre on acres and acres of land with a forest and shes never had a heat before because the guy who had her made her take suppresents to keep her as young as possible for as long as possible. He only got rid of her because she was getting “old” (shes 20)
So anyways.. one of the Alpha’s is her scent match.. and it throws her into her first ever Heat. They all sit and watch on security cameras as she leaves the estate and Flynn, the male Omega, notices that shes hurting and acting like shes going into Heat and he looses his mind and when she walks into the forest alone and the rain starts he forces his Alphas to go find her.. like absolutely is devastated and freaking out.
They go to look for her, but cant find her for 3 days. She goes through her first Heat all alone in pain at the bottom of a ravine in the woods. When they find her, the Alpha who’s her scent match realizes shes his and absolutely looses it. They all admit to the fact that they wanted her gone because they all felt the pull toward her— since theyre all bonded they kinda “share” in the fact that shes fated to one of the Alphas, and felt guilty because they already have an omega
It’s so heartbreaking and sad and just literally gut punch after gut punch. The entire time theyre all looking for her they are all feeling so guilty and upset before they even realize shes one of their scent matches. They all hate what they did and are feeling guilty AF as soon as they loose her in the forest and cant find her.

Harley has been held captive and abused by a pedophile since she was 10 years old. Sold by her parents, she spends 10 years in hell until she grows too mature for her abuser's taste and is auctioned off. She is bought by the omega of a pack who is, coincidentally, there looking for her on behalf of her brother (plot hole 1).
They don't recognize her, which isn't a surprise. All feel an unexplained draw to her but despite having gone to the auction to save an abused omega and ending up with one, they treat her callously and quickly kick her out. They don't even drive her into town. She is told to walk from their house in the middle of nowhere (plot hole 2)
Surprise, surprise, that doesn't go well. Harley goes into her first heat, in the middle of a forest, during a rainstorm, and is lost for three days while the pack tries to find her. Their omega Flynn and their own guilt makes them search for her almost immediately after sending her off. I guess they didn't expect she would take them seriously and actually leave when they told her to go?
She's in a messed up state and nearly dead. Of course they feel awful but primarily because 1) she is the woman they were looking for and 2) she is one of the Alpha's fated mate. She recovers quickly and goes from nonverbal at the beginning to now fairly talkative and even capable of getting aroused despite the traumatic heat and prior abuse. Not to mention her previous admissions to suicidality and a doctor saying she would be real messed up for a while.
The whole pack act like them just saying they are trust worthy and being kind should fix her and one week later, she is smiling and playful. 30% in and Harley has already been betrayed, rescued, miraculously improved, and the guys barely grovel. I can't imagine what the remaining 70% could possibly entail since it seems the whole story is already wrapped up

It’s the we already have an omega, a male, so we don’t want to upset him. Also the trope of the omega female is useless so we will treat her like crap until we find out she’s a scent match, and we will still treat her like crap because we already have our male (what has all the drama and gets all the love) omega.
I did knot really like this one, took me ages to finish cause I just didn’t care, writing was so basic and boring. Also I saw the warnings beforehand, tried to google “penis Picasso” cause wtf is that???? Why just assume we know what it is when you put that in the warnings? Literally NOTHING could’ve prepared me for that cmon
So, I came really close multiple times to DNF'ing this book. Normally, I'm not a fan of packs with multiple omegas, bit the premise of this one sounded interesting. Unfortunately, most of this book just didn't work for me.
One thing this author is gonna do is write an amazing story. From the very beginning I was sucked in and I just wanted more and more and I definitely got it.
I loved each and every one of the characters, even though the guys were kind of not super good at the beginning. They knew they messed up badly and they spent the entire book making up for it. Not once did they shy away from making her comfortable, making sure she's safe and knows how much they like her. Even know they were already a formed pack for years she fit right in. She really was the missing piece.
The relationship between the guys was adorable. I liked how they were supposed to be scary mafia Unalivers but were also but teddy bears to each other. Even when it was a simple kiss between them it was obvious how much they love each other. Also the way they acted with their Omegas, Flynn and Wren was phenomenal. They really treated them like they were everything. Which is exactly what Wren deserves.
She definitely went through a lot like A LOT. She never thought she would ever be happy or even escape that horrible life. Glad she was able to find men that literally worship the group she walks on.
There was also a couple of stuff going on behind the scenes that also kept me entertained. Also super happy she was able to have a relationship with Jasper, her brother. Need more of him and Aisling btw.
Ok, what I've just read right now is one fucking awesome Omegaverse book! Holy crap! 🖤🖤 Now this the first book I've read by Jenn Bullard. I was lucky to win an ebook copy during a FB group party. Damn I'm so happy I did. This has got to be one of my top fav Omegaverse books. It is one truly dark omegaverse romance and I'm so glad Jenn did not shy away from being descriptive when it came to the dark aspects of the story. With this is mind, PLEASE read the TW if you are not sure! For me personally, I loved this as it truly gives the book more depth into feeling and understanding what Wren has gone through. The emotions through the book are intense and the sex scenes are damn fine. 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Don't expect any golden retriever Alphas in this book. These Alpha's are the total opposite. Behind closed doors though, they show their soft side. If you're like me and love reading a variety of different genres, then this dark Omegaverse romance that has a bit of blood splatter here and there in the name of vengeance thrown in, will be right up your alley. Knot My Sin has got me hooked and now I need more!
This was a darker romance, so definitely pay attention to warnings before diving in.
However, if you're a fan of dark and angsty romances, this is one for you! I couldn't put this down! Usually, packs with two omegas are hit or miss for me, but I loved that Wren & Flynn were just as obsessed with each other as the alphas were with them!
Wren was so strong. I loved seeing her character grow as she took her life back. And I loved watching the alphas grovel & try to figure out the adjustment of having a female omega around.
Oh the spice was spicing on this one! This is just one smutty omegaverse and I’m here for all of it. Give me everything omegaverse. Especially this. Mafia omegaverse but throw on some super spicy parts, throw in groveling (you’ll understand why) and throw in one super hot male omega. This book was kinda dark. It had some definite violent and some graphic elements but it’s up to par with Jenn Bullard’s books and nothing short of it. The great thing with Jenn’s books is that when she writes something, she’s also introducing an entire new world for you and I cannot wait for more omegaverse from her!
the writing was pretty mid and the pet names drove me CRAZYYYYYY! also… the ending pissed me the fuck off i won’t lie. sooooo unnecessary to drag flynn into that shit and then we didn’t really even address the fact that he got violated which is so unrealistic
Started out promising but fizzled pretty fast. Wren literally got over most of her trauma in a week🙄 ten years of abuse and miraculously alpha 🍆 can cure you of trauma in a few days. Who knew 🤷🏼♀️
I don't normally read omegaverse. My first Omega book this was amazing. I guess I'm no longer a newbie. So I'm not really a good judge on this because this is my first book but I have read a lot of books and I love this book. Could not put it down I think I read it all night long.
Very complicated feelings about this one. Huge trigger warnings to start out with. There is on page SA multiple times, including with a minor, and a few graphic torture scenes. I have a high tolerance for that in books usually, but one of the torture scenes really did turn my stomach, and was very long and drawn out. I had to skim page after page to find where it ended and just get past it. The SA scenes are not glorified, but some are not glossed over either.
I personally don't mind coming across this stuff in books. I tend to disbelieve the many books that have things like serial 🍇ists conveniently deciding not to 🍇 someone they've kidnapped for that purpose, or the heroes arriving just in the nick of time, all just to spare the reader of a dark romance uncomfortable situations. It's very unrealistic, and just doesn't happen all the time in the real world in my experience. So I actually respect when an author chooses to go down that road with their characters, knowing it's not something many people actually want to be faced with even if they've chosen to read a book with darker themes.
What I didn't like, however, was that the after effects of these horrific things weren't really dealt with in a realistic way. The FMC has been SAd for 10 years, from the time she was 10 years old. She knows no other life than the one she was forced into as a litteral child, which almost always meant pain for her. While she has nightmares, and is wary of the MMCs, and has outward signs of abuse that seem to come and go, she doesn't hesitate to get physical with them once they're on board and in their redemption era. Some of that can be explained by the pull she feels towards them as her scent match and his pack, but not nearly enough of it. She was traumatized when it was convenient, but had no problem trusting them intimately. There was only one instance of hesitation on her part when it came to sex that I remember from the entire book. If she had been away from her abuser for longer than like a week at that point, and if she had been to any amount of therapy, I might believe that more.
In addition, her male omega, who has previously lived a very loved and comfy life (great parents, good life, loved by the first pack he dated bc they're scent matches and always happy, etc), was SAd by the FMC's abuser at one point. And after he's checked by the doctor and given a bath, it's just.....never mentioned again. He purposely got the abuser's attention away from the FMC so she wouldn't suffer at his hands again, so it's treated like this heroic sacrifice on his part, and because of that, he has no longstanding issues stemming from it. I hated that. I wanted him to be coddled after that and it just wasn't a thing for him or his alphas who supposedly care about him afterwards.
All that aside, I really liked how well the alphas treated both of their omegas. This was ultimately a very sweet story about a pack that will do anything for their omegas. The love felt equal between them all, and they especially doted on their newest pack member, the FMC, to show how much they wanted her.
They messed up really bad in the beginning. Many said this reminded them of Pack Darling, and yes, it absolutely is eerily similar...for the first 25% of the book. After that, it becomes its own story entirely. But the manner in which they mess up is similar, and they had a lot to make up for.
It's odd because even though they talked a lot about groveling, I don't feel they actually did enough of it before she pretty much accepted them as her alphas and omega (she's pretty much like I'll sleep with you/bond you, but I haven't forgiven you ). But at the same time, they had from about 30% to 100% of the book showing her how well they could treat her. So while the grovel wasn't enough, the sweet notions did cover that entire last 70% of the story, and they were very good to her. Also they would have been lost without their omega since she never asked for anything like he always did. He kept telling them they were idiots and then telling them exactly what she needed as an omega in a new house. It was cute.
This was a really long book, and I felt the last part dragged on for a while. She essentially forgives them and then they just figure out how to be a pack after that while also trying to do their mafia duties. In all, I liked the story, despite its flaws. It kept me entertained on an off day from work, and I thrive reading dark romances.

This book is absolutely amazing. When I first read this, I hated her alphas, not gonna lie, they did some really messed up stuff, but the groveling was top-tier. The spice was off the charts mind you the trigger warnings. You need to read. I have two words: Penis Picasso. Now when I tell you, her alphas are literally murderers, I am not lying and their male omega Flynn. He’s amazing. The revenge is absolutely top-tier. They defend both of them with every ounce of their being. They are both worshiped and absolutely adored. But the alphas are not perfect. They mess up on a colossal scale. And our main female lead Wren goes through some really dark stuff (I can’t say the word I would like to say, but if you know what I mean there you go)
OK, quick synopsis: WREN is sold to a demon spawn of Satan Alpha, at the age of 10. He is a sick demented piece of worm ridden filth— he abuses her and let me tell you if you’re triggered by that kind of behavior. This book is not for you. Her brother Jasper is looking for her and has been for years. when she becomes too old for the piece of crap alpha that is holding her captive in a freaking cage. This sick, mother flipper likes little girls) one sick piece of crap—so he sells her again in an auction.
Our male omega Flynn is at the auction because his pack is looking for Jasper‘s little sister and has been going to these different auctions trying to find her. And it just so happens that he sees her and then on her and they take her back to their house. Not knowing that it’s Jasper‘s little sister. And then they screw up .
Her alphas, Everest, Shaw and, Ambrose are very very flawed. They work for the head of the Irish mob as enforcers. They have an omega already so they give her clothes and tell her to go. And the poor thing goes into heat and they then find her because Flynn loses his mind and says you better go get her. And when they find her, she’s a mess. They didn’t know that they were scent matches because they couldn’t smell her due to the soap she had to use.
After that, they basically take care of her and are very very sorry and do everything in their power to win her heart. And then mayhem happens. I will leave it at that. And let me tell you, ladies and gentlemen, what they do to the bad guys is so epic—it is incredible the violence 😎. It made me jump for Joy. They make up for all the things that they’ve done. And it is lovely to watch. Please read this book, it is so good.
If I could give it 100 stars I would. I am absolutely addicted to this. I’ve already pre-ordered the next book.
If I make it all the way through a book I don’t generally give it less than 3 stars BUT, while I did finish it, there were a lot of things about this book that just did not work. The story wasn’t original so take that for what it is. So many OV books have similar themes so you just have to accept that with this genre. With that said, these were some issues I had with the book itself.
There needed to be a little more editing and proof-reading.
HOW ON EARTH does a 10 year old get kidnapped and abused for a decade and just come out mostly well adjusted. Her trauma was barely addressed. And one has to assume she had no contact with the outside world or education. Like at one point she mentioned someone reminded her of old black and white Hollywood movies. I’m sorry what?? She knew too much and adapted to society too fast for someone who went through THAT. I know this is fiction but that was not authentic at all.
The book repeatedly mentions that Flynn gets whatever he wants. Yet, he wanted Wren badly enough to spend 2 MILLION dollars on her but the alphas treat her like garbage just completely disregarding Flynn’s feelings. Also, I really liked Flynn but he just LET them throw her in the basement so he could get f*cked. Yeah, no.
The grovel DID NOT match the crime. The alphas fucked up left and right and there was absolutely no groveling on their part. After what they did, the grovel was NEEDED. I can’t stand when FMCs just let it go scent match or not. There was no real emotion from that experience from anyone.
Shaw absolutely did not act like a scent match alpha whose omega was abused and he threw out. The depth of their newly found relationship was non-existent. He growled at a doctor - woohoo. Other than that, he really didn’t give a shit if he was with her or not. He was not with her through her nightmares. She killed her abuser and was unconscious but he was just so nonchalant about it - taking care of Flynn instead. He’s her scent match for F*ck sake. He should have been on the verge of going feral.
What happened to Flynn pissed me off and was so unnecessary - then to top it all off it was just ignored after. No discussion of how that impacted him or how Wren killing Trey impacted her. Just done and never to be discussed again. Like in what world is that not a highly traumatic experience for both of them that should be explored.
Jasper was looking for Wren for years. Then, they have what couldn’t be more than a 30 min conversation in their entryway and then, that’s it, no more conversation. Just done until they need his help. And absolutely no introduction of her other brothers. Like really.
The fact that Wren very distinctly said she didn’t want to have a heat again but it was just ignored. No discussion at all. Ambrose was wildly manipulative by refusing to bond her outside of a heat.
The torture scenes were unnecessarily long and descriptive. It was boring.
Half the time, I couldn’t tell Shaw, Ambrose or Everest apart. It’s never good when you have to constantly try to remember whose POV you are reading.
Other unimportant inconsistency’s like Flynn saying he didn’t like peanut butter sandwiches but then is totally down for a peanut and banana sandwich.
There were other things that I noted along that line that just made the book feel very amateurish in itself - plot, characterizations and development.
I don’t want to discourage people from reading it but, also, know there are better books out there that are very similar in theme.

All reverse harem/ OV books are not built equally and I know that. But dear lord, what type of dark trauma read did I just endure?!?
Now I will say that the author lists all the trigger warnings upfront. But when I say this book has LITERALLY every trigger you can imagine. My god did Wren not suffer enough? The answer is no, she didn’t because 75% into the book she has to witness someone else be brutalized in one of the most horrific ways imaginable because of course she does.
The writing wasn’t great either and I found myself being confused as to who’s POV I was reading a lot because let’s be real all the male characters were basically the same person in a different font except for Flynn.
i really thought i was going to like this, and then it was just a slog to get through. that sounds mean and i’m sorry. but it’s just so rushed in some ways.
the trauma and the healing narrative are half of the draw to this book, and not that i actively want to see more of the trauma, i would like to see more of wren’s healing instead of going from “i think these guys are probably bad” to “fucking their omega two days in is probably fine.”
it just doesn’t take as much care as i wanted it to with such an interesting framework of recovery. and a lot of the dialogue is pretty stilted and awkward. it just doesn’t flow in a way that feels like people would actually speak to each other.
