Review
Ms. Ashley just keeps getting better and better with her story telling.  From the moment I picked up this book to read – it was instant attraction.  I don’t know if it had to do with the suffering our heroine was going through or the sexy tattooed, pierced hero. 



This story deals with heartbreak and a future of healing – when all else feels that our heroine is just existing without feeling – holding her emotions in while always hoping for the past to finally “right” itself – she gets the biggest surprise of her life.  It’s not a surprise of total exuberance, but one of hurt feelings and so many questions left unanswered.

This book was raw…it invoked such raw feelings that I couldn’t get enough it.  Every single fucking emotion in me was tested in this book – I laughed, I cried, I swooned, I got angry and then frightened.  What a fantastic and superb writer Ms. Ashley is to bring out so many of my emotions – I just can’t get enough praise to her work.

I first met Ms. Ashley when she contacted our blog to review her first book “Wake Up Call” – Another book that engrossed me from the first to the last page.  For a debut novel, it was a success in my book…..but this one? Holy freakin Hell….this book way surpasses her first!  When she contacted me again and asked me to read it --- I jumped on that shit – knowing the type of story teller she is….and I wasn’t denied another journey in the life of a messed up heroine.



Ms. Ashley….I just have to tell you, that if you continue to write stories like this….it will be no time until you hit the best seller list!

Ohhh…you are probably wondering why I took a ¼ star off?  It’s kinda lame but I got in trouble at work for crying at my desk.  Yeah, I suck!

Beware of the Prologue!

I can’t write much about the story since the book hasn’t been released yet but I’ll give you a bit of a teaser….Phoenix is our heroine and is in a bad place – this is a place she has been in for the past 8 years ever since her brother died and his best friend took off without a word on the same night.



She goes through her day to day functions not really connecting with much emotionally – for some strange reason Kade (Kellan’s brother and her best friend) is starting to put the moves on Phoenix and she wonders what it would be like to start up a “just for fun” relationship with him.

He takes her for a tattoo one day and leaves to run an errand – once in the shop she is met with the most gorgeous man she has ever seen but something is not right with him….he reminds her of someone but it couldn’t be…..or can it?

Follow Phoenix, Kellan and Kade along with their friends and some of their enemies in a story of suspense, mystery, second chances and redemption.



Wrap-Up
I can’t promote this book enough – it had everything I ever wanted in a story all strategically wrapped in a whirlwind of a book!

Just as I thought it was pretty depressing ending the story where it did….and it would have been really cool to get further stories from some of the other characters in the book….I was made partial to some very exciting news!

DNF at 69%

I tried to hang in there. I really did. But it just wasn't possible. The very first page is good. And out of 69%, I have to say its my favorite.
Who was this really about? Kade and Phoenix? Kellan and Phoenix? Jen and Nathan? Jen and Tyler? Cheating mom and dad? Zoe? Kade and Kellan? Kellan and Maxine? The mystery death of Ardic that I never got ANY insight on and I was close to finishing the book. Ardic and Kellan? I was left hanging so long I lost interest.
Phoenix- I didn't like her at all. She was a weakling and corny and indecisive. Did she like Kade or Kellan. I know who she fucked, but she was back and forth about her feelings for both. The way she spoke to her sister Zoe was not cool considering Zoe is 14. Do you talk to your 14year old sisters/nieces or whatever about naked cocks, bodies and fucking? Me either. The one thing I could have gone without knowing about Phoenix?? Her love of eating fucking chicken! She wont share it, craves it, eats in quantity and likes piles of the peeled skin. And she says eating chicken calms her. Really? She's with a hot guy and all she can focus on is eating her chicken?? You got issues sweetie.

Kade- what was his real purpose in the book? I still couldn't figure it out. He was there flirting with Phoenix, fighting with Kellan (his brother). Then everytime he wasn't in the storyline, no one knew where he was or who he was with. It was always a mystery. Was he doing something illegal? Banging chicks left and right? You'll never know.

Kellan- my biggest let down. He is a tatted up, motorcycle riding, tattoo artist, bad ass mother fucker.Ok, he was everything but the bad ass part. His dirty talk was mediocre and at times proper. I expect his dirty talk to be filthy fucking dirty! NOPE. He used words like "I cant wait to penetrate you", and how he could come sitting there "idly". NO NO NO. And when he cant make up his mind??? Drove me crazy. I like you, but I shouldn't. I want you, but I don't deserve you. I love fucking you, but I cant anymore.

I finally had to stop. I felt like there was no focus on any particular storyline. I was dying to know something, anything, regarding the Adric mystery. A flashback of the past between these 4. But I got NADA.
Finally, I just got over the whole lot.

I sit there fighting to catch my breath as I watch him run his hands over his face before running his fingers through his hair, tugging it.
“That’s all I’ll ever be to you, isn’t it? Adric’s little sister,” I say stiffly. “I’m not a child anymore and I have taken more pain than you know. You think you’ve been hurting over the years, well fuck you Kellan because I’ve been hurting worse.” I stand up from the desk and pull my skirt down. I’m in so much heartache right now, especially after getting to feel those lips on mine, just to take the feeling away and never give it again. It hurts like hell, but I refuse to show it. “Oh and don’t ever kiss me again. I don’t think your brother would like his lips to be where yours has been.”
The look on his face is as if I’ve just slapped him. It’s the same look that Kade had given me when I called him by his brother’s name. I don’t even know why I just said what I said. Maybe I want to hurt him just as bad as he has hurt me over the years.
He rubs a hand over his mouth and looks me in the eye. “You’re right. I don’t think he would like that either.” He stares me in the eyes while walking over to stand in front of me. His eyes trail down to my lips as he speaks again. “But I think I fucking hate his lips on yours more.”
Before I can speak, his lips crush mine again as he backs me up against the wall. This time he doesn’t even ask for entrance, he just takes it. He places his hand on my chin and pushes my head back, causing me to gasp as he slips his tongue into my mouth. His tongue hungrily caresses mine and this time, I feel the coolness of the steel in his mouth as he swirls his tongue around mine, before sucking it into his mouth. “Fuck the rules and fuck what Kade wants. Here’s to making this day better. Today, you’re mine.”
I look at his mouth as he runs his tongue over his lip and looks me in the eye. “Kellan, you don’t have to-“
“Come with me,” he breathes. “I have places that I want to take you.”
His Adam's apple bobs as he looks at me waiting for a response. “What about the party and your family?”
“Screw the party, Phoenix. This day is about you and being sure that you never have to suffer on this day again. Give me a chance to change your mind.”
He looks at me pleadingly and I can’t help but to give in. A part of me doesn’t even care where he’s taking me as long as I’m with him. “Okay, take me anywhere you want.”
I hope this is the right decision or I’m in for a world of hurt.

Victoria Ashley- you have outdone yourself!!!!!!!! Review in progress

After reading Victoria Ashley’s first book, Wake up call I knew I had found an amazingly talented author who’s books I would want to read…..I have had This regret, her up coming second novel on my to read list for a while, eagerly awaiting its February 28th release date. I was lucky and privileged to receive an ARC copy of the book yesterday in return for an honest review.

This Regret, Is a book about love, loss, betrayal and regrets. The book is extremely well and beautifully written and has a passion and depth which is so great to find, Victoria did not shy away from gritty subjects and touches on real life circumstances that unfortunately do touch all our lives in some way. The book features and touches on Domestic violence, drugs, suicide and betrayal but inside all that is one of the most passionate all consuming and HOT love stories I have read. I have Fallen in love while reading this book, I have laughed, cried and had my heart jump into my throat. This Regret is a fast paced contemporary love story with twists and turns that you never see coming. The characters for me are one of the most important parts of a book…. you have to connect with them to love the book. Well let me tell you these characters are HOT!!!!!!. Enter my new book boyfriend….Mr Kellan Haze, A tattooed, Pierced, badboy alpha male with a heart of Gold. From Kellan’s first introduction in the book I wanted him and Damn did he have some steamy scenes WOW!!! Kellan is troubled and full of regret battling with his past and his need to protect Phoenix. Enter Phoenix Winters, The girl everyman wants and every girl wants to be. Phoenix is so loveable because she doesn’t realize how beautiful and deserving she really is, She is fiercely protective of her family and has had to endure a lot of tragedy and hardships in her life. The loss of her beloved brother Adric has haunted her and the one person who truly understands that loss is Kellan, Adrics best friend who disappeared from her life for the eight years following Adrics death. The story of the friendship of Kellan and Adric is so hearwarming as is the protectiveness of Phoenix. When Kellan returns to Phoenix’s life after 8 years the chemistry is off the chart. some of my favorite scenes are on the rooftop of Kellan’s tattoo shop and chapter 18!!! when you read the book you will understand. I don’t want to add spoilers as this book is too good for that. The book also features some great side/main characters who really bring the story together. Jen, Kade, Luna, Zoe and Tyler really add their personality’s to the book. I loved the twists and turns in the ending but after reading the prologue I knew it would be Amazing.

This book is a must read for anyone that loves a love story with a real and gritty storyline and some SUPER HOT and STEAMY scenes. Victoria Ashley has gone above and beyond with this Novel, It’s so hard to believe that this is only her second novel as it is in a class of its own. I for one certainly believe that her books will touch many people. I hope and look forward to reading and reviewing many more. I take my hat off to you Victoria YOU ROCK!!!!!!

“Who needs Christian Grey when we have Kellan Haze..” This RegretVictoria Ashley

So this book was just a big confusion for me. In just one book we had a heroine with family drama, a friend who wanted more from her, an old friend showing back up in her life, his drama coming along with him, and some random people's drama thrown in also.



There was just way too much going on for me to be able to pay attention to it all and some of it just flat out annoyed me. I didn't understand at all why the Nathan drama was in this book, and to me it didn't add anything to the story. If anything all of the random scenes thrown in there took away from the actual main characters and made it so I never felt a connection between them. Phoenix and Kellan could have maybe had a good romance but I just didn't see it through everything else going on.

And for all those other story lines being thrown into the mix, I never actually felt like we had any information on them. Phoenix's family still confuses me and I feel like there were too many secrets not revealed, same with Kellan's brother.

Overall, I can't say this was the book for me but it has a hot hero and a decent amount of angst so if that intrigues you give it a try.

I read Victoria Ashley's first novel Wake Up Call a while ago, and completely fell head over heels in love with her characters. One thing that struck me with her writing was how real and raw it was - every situation, every setting and every possibility was written perfectly.Once I had finished, I really did think that Victoria Ashley was the best thing since sliced bread ;)
UNTIL NOW...

I thank god that I wrote such a pleasing review for Wake Up Call for Victoria, because if I hadn't we wouldn't have become such good friends. Due to this wonderful friendship blossoming, Victoria chose to allow me to beta-read her second novel, This Regret and I cannot believe how lucky I have been to experience her latest story before so many readers out there. I feel absolutely privileged to have been included in the progress of her writing; I've been sent chapter by chapter as she's completed them and it has been one of the most pleasurable experiences of my life. Watching an author's work come to life before me is one hell of a thing to participate in, trust me. So, before I begin my review, I would just like to say a huge thank you to the very talented, very wonderful Victoria Ashley. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your second novel, thank you so much for trusting me enough, and thank you so much for keeping me updated constantly. I've never felt so involved, and it has been so touching, you've really made the beginning of 2014 a special year.

So, onto This Regret.

First of all, I have already rated This Regret on Goodreads and it has received the best possible rating from me - 5 out of 5 stars on Goodreads, and ten out of ten on Becca's Books. I have no doubt in my mind that This Regret will be a much-loved, popular and well-read book by the end of this year.

The characters - I know for certain that Victoria Ashley's main male character Kellan Haze will be on the top of the book-boyfriend lists when This Regret hits the shelves.GOD FREAKING DAYUUUUM. You have never met anything like this guy, he is absolutely divine. I think Victoria may have became rather bored with my "Oh my god, KELLAN" comments but honestly, it's just so hard not to "Oh my god" every time he makes an appearance.I remember reading Wake Up Call and thinking that Victoria's male character in that story, Jace, was incredibly hot, but she's just taken things to a whole new level with Kellan, like I'm saying she's really stepped up the game.This guy is like a god. His body is like a work of art, and that's just the tattoos. Beneath those are mounds of hard muscles, the 'V' that the girls go crazy for and abs that you just want to lick. His messy hair and rough exterior are definite perks of this guy, and his love for rough sex wouldn't go unnoticed either. Kellan is a delectable bad boy with a soft, loving, caring nature that only one woman is able to bring out. From the moment Victoria introduced him to me, my mind was made up and I wanted this gorgeous man for myself. Kellan is an important character in This Regret - the moment he returns back home, things begin to happen that no one can control. Besides looking, acting and speaking like a walking sex-god, Kellan rides a motorbike, wears leathers and wears biker boots. If that's not enough to make you want to read this book, then you're a lost cause I'm afraid! ;)

Phoenix is such a beautiful, beautiful character in This Regret and I'm telling you right now, I would do anything to be in her shoes when it comes to Kellan. Phoenix hasn't had a peachy life, in fact, it's been downright awful and I feel for the girl. I really do. She has been through so much crap and finally, when things are beginning to slot nicely into place, a force bigger than nature itself comes storming back into her life and flips everything upside down in the process. Behind Phoenix's strong and determined exterior, she has an incredibly weak spot for a certain someone and Victoria really highlights this fact in her writing.

As well as the two main characters, Victoria has also created Kade, who is Kellan's brother. Kade is also kinda' hot but he didn't really have the same effect on me as Kellan did. Although, both of them together, the Haze brothers, would be a force to be reckoned with. There's a whole bunch of characters included, some absolutely lovely, some just plain assholes, but they all come together to really make This Regret what it truly is - an epic love story.

Victoria has taken a huge step with this novel and I am so, so happy for her. I cannot wait for This Regret to be officially released. Although, I have to say, reading about lots of other ladies swooning over Kellan is forcing me to bite back a tiny bit of jealousy ;) Victoria writes with such a rawness, letting each character take over and portraying them to the readers in a non-superficial way, allowing you to really love and adore them in the same way that I do. There's so much depth to the story, so much history, and as it all begins to come together, it's mind-blowing. The rawness and pure emotion that I found in Wake Up Call is still evident in This Regret, only a million times more powerful and overwhelming. The story evoked so many feelings inside of me. It had me biting my lip, wiping away the tears, smiling insanely and wanting to smash up the object that was nearest to me. It was crazy good, and I was always ready for Victoria to send another chapter on over to me. Honestly, I don't think I could ever get enough of Kellan. I really don't. Putting aside his hotness for a moment, the story itself was perfectly put together, amazing twists and turns, and a lot of hot, heated moments that caused the lip-biting. The scenes, the settings, the trouble brewing. It had my heart racing like a galloping horse.

I cannot rate This Regret enough. I truly, truly can't. There is just something so addictive about Victoria Ashley's style of writing and creation of characters and circumstances that intrigues and satisfies me. I will never tire of anything that she writes and I will always be ready and willing to read her latest novel, whenever or whatever it may be. She has a unique style to her books that I've had a taste for, and now, I don't think I'll be able to stop.

So, Victoria, another huge thank you from me, and the highest rating that I can possibly give for This Regret. I absolutely loved it from start to finish, and you better get started on your next one missy ;)

I have to start by saying that no review will ever do this book justice!

This is my all time favourite ,something about this book just did it for me ! I'm raving about it , I want to shout off the rooftops about how brilliant this read has been ! There will be those out there that think I've lost the plot but quite frankly I DON'T care ♥  

Hells bells I wouldn't mind waking up like Phoenix every morning ! Her bed sounds like a real lucky packet :-D

Kade ~ crazy about him from the get go ! Damn when he kisses Phoenix for the first time I had to jump around and " shake my sillies out" this man is going to be downfall ! 

Kellan ~ hold your horses ladies hes a man of ink ! I can't get enough of him ,he's got me wanting more ink of my own♥

Kellan walks in on a sticky situation where a guy is roughing up his girlfriend so he just gets in there and saves her from this douche waffle ,threatens to beat him to a pulp and walks off with her ! Loving this guy , he's serious kryptonite material !

Love  the  way these girls play bingo *snort giggle* Phoenix has a younger sister Zoe ,this poor kid , shes lucky to have the big sister she does,  Phoenix seems to be the only constant and stable element in her life :'(

At this point in time I'm ready to hand myself to Kade on a silver platter ! Phoenix , wake up girl he's got it bad for you ♥♥

Did I mention I have a thing for ink ? Damn ,Kade's taking her for her first tat ! He gets a call and has to keave her on her own promising to be back soon . My heart misses a few beats , the shop is called " Addi's Attic" , Addi was her brother's nickname  , he died :'( and his death changed the dynamics of her family and of herself ,very sad ! I just know something hectic is about to happen and I can't read fast enough....

Kade now has some serious competition for my affections " He's got to be the sexiest man I have ever laid my eyes on. He has thick dark hair , beautiful amber eyes lined with thick black lashes and a pouty bottom lip ...... He's wearing a bkack V-neck shirt showing tattoo covered arms and jeans that sit low on his hips " I think I've stopped breathing ! Bring the mop and wipe me off the floor ,I've melted ! Or have I self combusted ?! I can happily be his slave *wicked giggle*

Kade comes back just as Phoenix is connecting the dots as to why this guy seems so familiar and bam he punches him and I'm like WTF !? :O then MY adonis says " It's nice to see you too little brother" 3,2,1 and the snot fest starts ! For 8 years Kellan is gone , nobody knows if he's dead or alive!  

The reunion of this family is raw raw emotion and the best writing I've EVER experienced ! I actually had to stop reading . I was howling like a werewolf at full moon. A full on snot fest ,just as I contain myself enough to start reading again the watet works start up AGAIN !

This is a first for me I just can't carry on with this review ! I just to read " This Regret" savour it , absorb it I just want to indulge ♥

If I have to go through one more heartbreaking story I may just go crazy. Victoria made the mistakes people have made come to life and suck you into a whole full of pain. But as every tragedy comes light that you are always trying to find. This story took a dark side then brought love into the mix that has only two ways of coming out...despair or hope.

Phoenix has spent the last 8 years fighting to just survive one more day. She lost all feelings and ways to express herself when two people were ripped from her life. For far too long she hasn't felt anything in order to move past her heartbreak. She's a wonderful sister and even in times that she cannot take anymore she always pushes forward for her family. I absolutely felt my heart. Beating out of my chest when I found out what hurt Phoenix so much. Her story is not something any human being should have to go through. I myself depend on my family as a means to survive and Victoria gave that to me is Phoenix's words. Always the dependent one always honest and strong for others when there is no way in her heart to actually deal with the consequences she doesn't even know others made,Phoenix moves through her life when there are people around her that are responsible for what she's dealing with. Phoenix is a strong woman from what I felt coming from her, but all that comes crashing down when the one man who owns her surprises her back into her life...

Kellan (can we ever get tired of that fucking name?!?!) he has demons so buried within himself that for the past 8 years he's been running trying to keep those he loves safe. He doesn't expect the same grey eyes that tore his world apart to unexpectedly drop into his chair, but when he sees her, how can he let go? Kellan fights himself every step of the way never feeling good enough to be with the girl he always wanted to protect but the way she makes him feel can't be forgotten. I loved Kellan from the beginning, Victoria straight up gives you who his is and tells you he's in pain, you try to reason with him, trying to come in the same concept of why he is written that way, but in the end I just wanted to lick him and say "shh don't tell me just let me look at you" lol. His character is the ultimate hero and after reading his tale and figuring what caused him so much pain, you just want to make him better. Realizing his feelings and dealing with them nearly killed him. He and Phoenix are the perfect remedy for someone who has had to deal with that bond between two people that one day just disappeared and then next reopened wounds that leave you breathless.

Victoria has made an excellent example of true love and what it take to fight for it. Most stories don't give you what you need but after this one I'm left thinking "now what? How do I read something and not have my emotions feel like this?" Fabulous job Vic.

Phoenix lost her brother Aldric to suicide and if that wasn't enough her brother's best friend Kellen goes missing after his car is found totaled. She was close to both of them and was completely broken after having lost both. She has Kade who is Kellen's brother to help her through this pain. Fast forward 10 years and Phoenix is all grown up. She manages a bar and is still good friends with Kade. Kade seems to want to take their friendship to the next level and has Phoenix confused if that is really what she wants. A chance meeting at a tattoo shop brings someone who was thought to be lost back into her life again. Kellen sees Aldric's little sister all grown up but can't help the attraction he feels towards her. As the attraction between Phoenix and Kellen grows, secrets from the past come up and old wounds are opened. Which brother will Phoenix choose?

I love this book! The characters were well written and I've fallen in love with the sexy Kellen. I felt all the emotions coming through in the story. I cried and laughed. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a story that is different than what's already out there. This story has drama, passion, and love. I can't wait to read more from this author!

Amazing! I just found myself a new author that can spin an emotionally rollercoaster of a tale! Kellan and Phoenix were a great couple...both feeling the devastating loss of a best friend and brother. Their intimacy alone was powerfully passionate. And, their love was consuming. Soul-bearing. And, intense. The supporting characters also gave heart to the story while opening the door to give the author added possibilities to continue a "This Regret" series. I could just see the promise of maybe a Jen and Tyler book, and maybe a Zoe and Kade book when she ages a few years. Really enjoyed this novel, and I'm looking forward to reading another Victoria Ashley fiery romance...

This just released novel written by author, Victoria Ashley, hooks the reader in from page one right on into the exciting climax at the bittersweet end. I almost was afraid to read the final pages because I had been envisioning the author not giving the “happily ever after” to the two main characters that simply and absolutely belonged together. From the heroine losing her twenty-year-old loving brother to an addiction, to her family being busted apart from betrayal, and then having the love of her life coming and going while shattering her heart into a billion pieces, the woman is beyond strong and brave. Phoenix Winters’ life was destroyed the day that her beloved brother, Adric, was taken from her in an all-too-often desperate cry for help. His death tore her up inside and hurt like a bitch each and everyday when she was reminded of just how beautiful and charismatic he actually was. And, to make matters worse, his best friend, Kellan, who she was madly in love with, disappeared amongst the agonizing chaos that same fateful day. Her life was understandably broken in spirit. And, just when things are starting to look up, a chance encounter with a once adored individual creates unexpected havoc in her life.

Kellan Haze, now what can I possibly say about him? Ahhh, protective. Loyal. Extremely badass with that animal magnetism that’s just heartstopping. He was smoldering with his beautifully tattooed arms and numerous piercings. And, Phoenix had been wildly in love with him since she was fourteen. When he disappeared those many years ago, it practically destroyed her after losing her brother so tragically. Now he comes back hiding a secret from his past that would absolutely ruin Phoenix’s faith in him should she find out just what he is keeping from everyone.

Wow, I just loved both main characters! They had such a compelling relationship. One could just feel the love that they had for one another whether it was erotically intimate or tenderly sweet. They were meant to be together and to have that not happen in the end, was not something that I could accept. The supporting characters were extremely likable as they beared their compassionate heart and soul when it came to protecting their own. Kellan’s brother, Kade, was extremely possessive when guarding Phoenix against his newly resurrected brother. Kade wanted her for himself, but more importantly he was also looking out for her well-being should Kellan leave once again. And, he knew, deep down inside, that Kellan was going to run yet again! Phoenix’s best friend, Jen, and Kellan’s trustworthy buddy, Tyler, were two stubborn and devoted allies when it came to their friends’ best interests. Phoenix and Kellan knew that they could always rely on these two people for their help and honesty. And, Phoenix’s sister, Zoe, was a hoot! A fourteen year-old-year, who was very mature for her age, that was painfully honest but knew that she required support and consistency when it came to the essence of her exhaustively dysfunctional homelife. I hope to see some of these characters with their own lives more explored in the future.

I can’t say enough excellent compliments about Ms. Ashley’s newest release. It had everything that I crave in a great novel – drama, suspense, romance, scorchingly intimate love scenes, and a hot gorgeous alpha-male. Kellan Haze (love the name) was some ultra-cool romantic stud! Looking forward to reading the next Victoria Ashley novel!

I have to start by saying that no review will ever do this book justice!

This is my all time favorite ,something about this book just did it for me ! I'm raving about it , i want to shout off the rooftops about how brilliant this read has been ! There will be those out there that think I've lost the plot but quite frankly I DON'T care ♥

Hells bells I wouldn't mind waking up like Phoenix every morning ! Her bed sounds like a real lucky packet :-D

Kade ~ crazy about him from the get go ! Damn when he kisses Phoenix for the first time I had to jump around and " shake my sillies out" this man is going to be downfall !

Kellan ~ hold your horses ladies hes a man of ink ! I can't get enough of him ,he's got me wanting more ink of my own♥

Kellan walks in on a sticky situation where a guy is roughing up his girlfriend so he just gets in there and saves her from this douche waffle ,threatens to beat him to a pulp and walks off with her ! Loving this guy , he's serious kryptonite material !

Love the way these girls play bingo *snort giggle* Phoenix has a younger sister Zoe ,this poor kid , shes lucky to have the big sister she does, Phoenix seems to be the only constant and stable element in her life :'(

At this point in time I'm ready to hand myself to Kade on a silver platter ! Phoenix , wake up girl he's got it bad for you ♥♥
Did I mention I have a thing for ink ? Damn ,Kade's taking her for her first tat ! He gets a call and has to leave her on her own promising to be back soon . My heart misses a few beats , the shop is called " Addi's Attic" , Addi was her brother's nickname , he died :'( and his death changed the dynamics of her family and of herself ,very sad ! I just know something hectic is about to happen and I can't read fast enough....

I was going to wait to review this book but since I have had the privilege of reading it first, editors rights of course, here goes.....

I cannot wait to see what the world thinks of this book. It's amazing and the characters are all so different yet lovable in their own ways. The story keeps you on your toes throughout the entire book. The prologue is amazing and raw leaving your emotions running wild. I loved when I would be sitting there reading and a part would make me laugh...out loud.

This book has the perfect amount of each emotion.. There were times I laughed, cried and wanted to hit someone. The ending is completely unexpected and will have you on the edge of your seat.

If you want a fast read with a sexy bad boy and melt your panties off scenes, this is the book for you... Check it out February 28, 2014! You'll be glad you did

I was fortunate to find this book and amazing woman (Victoria) on FB. People were talking about this book when it first hit shelves and I was intrigued so I picked it up and started reading it almost right away. And no Regrets from me! Loved it **4 Heart Strumming Stars**

I found myself in a "Haze" from the beginning, loving both brothers Kade and Kellan. I had a hard time figuring out who I liked more. Their both so dreamy yet so different. Phoenix is having the same problem with Kade, he stuck be her side in her hard times (from her brother's death) the last 8 years and now they see each other in a different light.
But just as it starts getting a little to sensual Kellan comes strolling back into their lives and makes everything more complicated. And all the feelings Phoenix once had for him 8 years ago come back to the surface and she finds herself swooning over the the guy who is like sex on a stick.

I loved this book! Kellan Haze is my new boo! Just call me Mrs. Haze from now on! Kellan was the most misunderstood hero I've ever come across. I loved that he was a family man and did everything in his power to protect his loved ones, even if it made him look bad. I loved the way Victoria Ashley told this story. I could not put this book down until all the secrets were revealed. And let me tell you they were mind blowing. The sex scenes were sizzling. They are definitely NSFW! It's hard to review this book without giving too much away. But it was a great book and I can't wait to read Jen and Tyler's story.

This book is fan-freaking-tastic...Kellan Haze can keep his word to me any day ;). Phoenix Winters has had a rough last eight years until she is taken to get her first tattoo and then her world is flipped upside down. Kade Haze made is first appearance in the nude with his morning glory and you couldn't help but kinda fall in love with him...that is until we meet his brother. This is a book with many twists and turns and it is never a dull read. I absolutely loved it from the first page until that very last punctuation make. I really like this authors writing style and I will be on the look out for more from her.

I'm sitting here with a banging book hangover. This is my first read from this author and I'm officially a fan! I couldn't get enough of Kellan and his dirty mouth, or maybe it was his extra large package?
This story pulled on my emotions and I love an emotional read with a side of sexy. Phoenix's life was full of loss and sadness but Kellan was her one happiness and who can blame her there because he is a sexy ,tattooed, pierced, motorcycle riding, dark haired God with a dirty mouth and a need to protect what he loves. Need I say more. I'm now desperate for more books by Victoria Ashley.

Victoria starts off with a bang with the prologue that makes you want more and once you start you can not stop. There is love, action, betrayal, heartbreak, all these feelings running in you and you don't know how to feel.

Phoenix is gorgeous, strong, loving, she tries so hard to be strong for her family since what happened 8 years ago when she lost the 2 most important people in her life. You get bits and pieces of what happened but she and Kade her best friend have tried to move on. She keeps it all inside herself, her family are just as dysfunctional and are not there for her, Zoe her younger sister has problems of her own but she is to young to know the truth or remember what happened and Phoenix just wants to protect her and help her with her issues. You feel what Zoe feels, her heartbreak, sadness, happy times, sexy times, and her love for her friends and family she would do absoutley anything for them, makes you realize you can do and get through anything.

Kellan has being gone for 8 years nobody knew if he was alive or dead he disappeared the day everyone's life changed no one knew the real story thinking he was a coward for leaving Phoenix and his brother Kade but he did it to protect them, and when you find out the real story OMG you fall in love with Kellan all over again. He is strong, manly, insanely hot, make your panties wet you wonder why your wearing them. He is full of pain thinking he doesn't deserve happiness he has so much anger, and sadness inside of him you just want to take it all away from him.

Then one day Kade you is close to Phoenix now and is a man whoring guy who wants Phoenix he convinces her to go this new tattoo shop just out of town and she agrees. Only Phoenix goes in because Kade gets called away and says he will be back she looks at the tattoo artist and he seems familiar but she isn't sure then Kade walks in and BOOM!!! One not so happy reunion goes down.

You see the story unfold between them and also the secondary characters that are in the story have there own little ones but it doesn't take away from the book it all goes together and I hope that some of them have there own books at one stage. Now lets get to the sexy times between Phoenix and Kellan, she has always loved him since they were kids even though he is older then her. He only seen her as a little sister someone to protect and love and he did fiercely, now that she in a woman he can't help himself, he tries not to but it doesn't work and the sex they have have OMG I had to change my panties a couple of times it was god damn HOT!!! There is nothing gentle about Kellan unless he wants to be and that isn't much Its rough and primal and I so want a Kellan.

It all comes out in the end the real story of why Kellan left what he did and didn't do and even what other people did that he had no idea it all comes down to an action packed ending leaving you holding your breath, hand on your heart hoping everyone makes it out.

Victoria is good at making you feel things sympathizing with the characters, wanting to murder some of them, praying they have there happy endings my new favorite song is Your Guardian Angel by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus it makes a perfect ending. I recommend this to everyone you loves books with a little action a whole lotta sexy time and all round awesome book congratulations Victoria.

This Regret is one I plan to add to my bookshelf as a favorite!! I would give it more stars if I could! Loved It! Loved everything about it!!

First we are introduced to Kade-the deliciously hot brother.



There is definitely chemistry between Kade and Phoenix leaving you to ponder if this is the direction the story is going in but then enters Kellan- the other brother who took off years ago...but he had his reasons.



"You ready to fall in love with me? Because I can't stand the thought of you loving anyone else."--Kellan

Oh yes.



This regret had me feeling every emotion.

This Regret is satisfying...like a good book should be. The exceptional plot made it impossible to put down. Ms. Ashley- Thank you for such a beautiful, heartwarming story! I can't wait to read more of your work :)

AMAZING!!!! I don't know how else to explain this book!!! I loved it sooo much and I think Kellan Haze is my new favourite book boy firm up there with Travis and Will!!! This book had everything in it, angst, deep love and was beautifully written! The supporting characters were a wonderful addition and I find it really shows the calibre of a writer and their ability to tie many storyline a together! I can't wait for a book about Jen and Tyler as well as book about Kade and possibly Luna. Kade is a tough but to crack and he really angered me throughout this book but I think he might just be misunderstood. I think Luna is trouble but again maybe also misunderstood. A book on Zoe would be fantastic I really enjoyed her character and so much could be done with her character development. There were many touching moments in this book that have me that infamous chest pain you get when your heart hurts but my favourite moment was between River and Pheonix in the woods!!! I would love to learn more about her as well!! Excellent book and I recommend it to everyone!

This sucked me in from that gripping Preface. I love his/her stories and I really LOVED Kellan Haze and found his character's arc to be right on target. As for, Phoenix, she was a bit whiny and wishy-washy but came through pretty strong. And the scenes with the two of them together were HOT! Yes, there were some parts that I was seriously tempted to skim through as I didn't care as much about some of the side stories. Still, it was very readable and I found myself unable to put it down finishing it in just a few hours.

My main gripe, though, was with Phoenix's favorite bird. A peacock?? Why the HELL not the mythical Phoenix that she was named for?! The whole 'rise from the ashes' theme was perfect for the story and Kellan in particular. And the bird itself would make a gorgeous tattoo.

And, don't get me started on the grammar and spelling. This needs a serious round of editing STAT.

I enjoyed this book. Phoenix has to deal with the death of her brother and the loss of her brothers best friend that just disappeared after. She was so close to both of them, and to have to lose both of them at once just killed her. Kade was always there for her, but Kellan comes back after 8 years and every feeling she has ever had for him comes rushing back. I felt bad for Kade, but love is a strong thing and she has always loved Kellan, her protector. Great read, lots of ups and downs, humor and tears. I would definitely recommend this book.

I discovered Victoria Ashley when I read her book Wake Up Call. I absolutely fell in love with this book and her. She is a very talented author that knows how captivate her readers from the beginning to the end of her books. She writes beautiful and hot scenes, but they are not overdone. She lets the reader use their imagination by letting them read between the lines, instead of spelling it out completely for the readers. Now, isn't that why we read to escape reality and use our imaginations. When I was asked if I was interested in an ARC of This Regret for an honest review I was excited and more than ready to read it.So I agreed to read it and here is my honest review.

WOW!! Victoria Ashley used her talented writing from Wake Up Call and kicked it up a notch. The Prologue catches your attention and keeps it till the end. Once you start reading it is hard to put down. The storyline is a beautiful and hot love story, but involves some real life nitty gritty topics of domestic violence, drugs, and suicide that is done tastefully and enhances the storyline. Yes, there are hot and steamy sex scenes, but once again they are not overdone and leaves the reader to imagine the between the lines. The characters will pull you in to the storyline and make you feel part of the story and all the characters in this book plays a significant role, so one character does not dominate the story. You will experience many emotions while reading because one minute you will love a character next you want to smack them. This Regret is written in talented and beautiful way that you will enjoy reading it and have a hard time putting it down.
This is a book that you will want to read over and over.

I choose to write my review in the way I did because I wanted to express how talented Victoria Ashley is an author and wanted to write a review that supports This Regret as a whole book, instead of breaking it down it different parts and characters.

Wow. Where to start other than HOT,HOT,HOT!! This book had me hooked from page 1 and brought out so many emotions. One minute I would be smiling, the next I wanted to slap someone, and then of course the big crocodile tears as the story goes through lust, betrayal, heartbreak and love.

Kellan Haze is the true essence of a bad boy; tattoos, dark clothes, piercings, motorcycle. But, does it define who he is? Phoenix, the girl next door, what or should I say who does her heart desire? Oh, and we cant forget Kade, Adric's best friend's little brother, is he as innocent as he seems? These are questions you would have to read the book to answer.

I loved, loved, loved this book so much!! I read somany series that it was nice to read a stand alone book for a change . The story of Kellan, Kade, Jen, Tyler and Zoe and Phoenix. This book isn't just a love story between 2 people, it has so much more involved and I loved that. Phoenix has a wonderful relationship with her older brother Adric and his bf Kellan. Unfortunately Adric dies and Kellan leaves and Phoenis has to survive on her own. Kellan comes back after being gone for 8 years and Phoenix is grown up now and their love story begins. They go through so much together but get their happy ending. Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic read by Victoria Ashley!! This book had it all...romance, sex, action and was quite the emotional read. Kellan & Phoenix...just wow...what a beautiful couple with history and love and chemistry that was off the charts!! The storyline had so many twists and turns that you just couldn't put it down!! The characters were well thought out and were perfect for this book!! Greta job Victoria on one hell of a book!!!
