This is Book 2 in the "Children of the Waves" series and it did not disappoint. There are questions in my mind that I need answers to but I know with each book I will get them.

Ezekiel (Zek) and Desiree (Des whose real name is Hali) had already met when he rescued her from a boat explosion when she was a teenager. The children of Poseidon stop aging once they reach puberty but once they have crossed paths with their mates the aging process begins again. The oldest they will look is 25 years old (Which is amazing).

Des life has been in a witness protection program along with her family. Identities have been changed and new lives created which keeps for Des people at bay for fear of being discovered.

Unbeknownst to her Zek had been searching for so much so he hired a private investigator but as fate would have it Des was brought to him. His brother Xavier is the new King and Des not knowing any of this was brought to the island to be reunited with her best friend Cori.

To write anything more would be revealing spoilers so I will say this, get the books because you won't be disappointed. Another winner by author Laverne Thompson.

Oh yes, now we are talking!!! I love how this book ties some of the loose ends and doubts I had, now I can see how the world gets richer with every book written and look forward for the others. I love how each book has a different couple with their own story and at the same time keeps one thread and a story line!!!! Great read, I totally recommend it!!

Des is lying to Zek and others to protect herself and her family. Zek knows she's his mate-to-be, his bride. Nothing will stop him from being with her. He's the son of Poseidon. Let's just see what a little lie can stop.

This is the second installment in The Children Of The Waves series and its a fantastic addition.In this book we have Des who is the best friend of Cori from part on and Zek who is Xavier's brother . Des has come to Zek's island to meet up with Cori and find out what happened to her .Arriving on the island she meets gorgeous Zek but is reluctant to get too close as she has a past that could get people hurt .Zek knows the moment she arrives she is his mate .When Cori and Xav arrive and Des hears what they have to say she thinks they are all crazy and tries to make a break for it .Zek wont let his mate get away and proves what he is and who she is to him .The white witch is up to her tricks again she's not going to give up.This was a page turner that had me downloading the next installment as soon as I finished .Really enjoying this series and highly recommend it

Honestly I was really looking forward to this book , then she set it up so beautifully . My hopes were so high . Lets just say my opinion declined as the book went on. There was no conflict except for the new sea creatures that his brother cant control. We kept hearing about all these people who could hurt them with no resolution. Bummed out and I dont know if I will read the next.
