I adore this little book. Easy to read, fun, interesting, very real. It's a bit larger-than-life, but that is in the spirit of The Bull God. Surreal and engaging, and disturbing and descriptive in all of the right ways. Hirsch really captures the spirit of Bacchus (io io evohe!) and this is a wonderful imagining of the power of the Old Gods manifesting in our contemporary word. Just lovely.

What did I just read?
It was weird, funny and disturbing. Took me a second to get into it, but once I got to chapter 3 I couldn’t put it down. A great book to cleanse your palette after reading anything on the heavy and emotional side.

B/B+

A bit overwritten and disjointed but overall pretty damn enjoyable. Would make a great movie with some key adjustments.

I enjoyed the story told in this book. It was a little hard to follow in some places but I enjoyed it overall.
