I married the man that bought me at a slave auction. I have changed a lot since that night at the auction, but I still remember it very clearly. I remember being kidnapped and tortured. I remember being drugged and warned about the things in my future. I remember being scared. The fear is what I remember the most. I was afraid for my life and well-being all the time. I was afraid of what I would be forced to do to survive when I was sold. But most of all I was afraid of my feelings when I started to fall for my captor.
Liam and I started out on rocky terms but had landed on our feet. No one would believe our history if we told them, but we didn't dare tell anyone. We wanted to move passed it and move forward with our lives. But it is hard to move forward when the past keeps coming back to haunt you

Story-wise, I had a feeling it was coming to this (ending). GAH! Nice cliffhangar ending, as I've come to expect from Leslie. Steamy scenes still enjoyable as always. Sometimes I even like Liam. Norah? Totally love that girl. She drove me nuts more than a few times in this one; 'what is your problem, chica?!' I didn't expect the direction of this third book. Lots of great setups with his board, the money, the antagonist from #2 "Consumed"—was right with Liam on that guy.

Leslie Sansom I recommend William Donnelly for a clean-up edit. With four indies of my own (Christopher Page) out on Amazon and two more coming up in the next few months, I totally understand how the cleanup process goes, and how things still end up being missed.

So finally i have decided that I cannot finish this!!!! I got through 57% before i gave up.

The dynamics between the characters took a drastic turn for the worst. Liam and Norah are no longer the Dom and his sub, they have become something beyond annoying. Norah constantly throws fits for every little thing that happens. Every time i turn around she running away. Liam has become the biggest crybaby ever. He just whines and apologizes for ever little thing.

I couldn't get past the big change in Liam. I loved his demeanor in the first book. He was a strong Dom with a conscience. Sweet when it matter and hard when necessary. Now, he spends his days crawling behind Norah. She might as well take the whip and claim him as her slave.

Want to be Tears of Tess much?

God, I was so disappointed. Liam used to be a Dom; now he's a sniveling wuss apologizing all the time. It's horrifying how much he's changed. Not only that, but halfway through the book, the plot turned into the Monsters in the Dark series by Pepper Winters. I'd be pissed if I were her.

Whilst enjoyed reading continuing story of Liam and Norah was annoyed and frustrated with typos, grammatical errors etc in book. Almost like it was rushed to be published and was not proof-read which took away from enjoyment of reading. Was also very disappointed at way book finished and not realising that there is ANOTHER book to be read to see what happens next!! How long until next book in series is published? Hopefully it won't have the errors this one did as I have enjoyed this series otherwise.

WTF! I really wish books would warn me in advance that, hey, guess what....it's not a complete trilogy like you thought! Surprise! You just spent the last couple weeks getting into a series that you won't get the end of until sometime later this year! Had I known, I would have waited until the ENTIRE series was released to start reading. Now by the time the new book comes out, I'll probably have forgotten what the hell happened.

This is a very hard book to read and what I mean by that is the topic is hard to read. This is the 3rd book in the series and there is going to be another book as it ends on a clifhanger.
I gave this book 3 stars because I felt there was too much sex and it felt like it took over the book. But I will read the next one because I need to know what happens.

Wow!! Very interested on how this ends. My only complaint would be the horrible editing.

Dark story continues

I enjoy dark stories and I like my characters complicated. This is definitely adult themed so caution to sensitive readers. I love my characters complicated, but I found myself thinking too often, you are just being stupid about too many decisions the main characters were making. I will purchase the next book, because I hate leaving series unfinished unless the writing is so bad that it's just a waste of time, but seems like the series could have been shortened by a book, and the twists and character decisions much more interesting and believable.
