2.5✨ honestly I wish it was longer because some things happened with no lead up. Eli was a strange character he was supposed to be her dad, but he felt way too young with the way he acted

A romantic pallet cleanser where even the goats change lives.

but for real if your in the market for a quick read that just feels full of cute golden retriever energy than you are going to love our mane man 💘

a subtle and fun nod to some of our favorite super hotties 😜

and the spice level was moderate and fit well with the plot.

This is such a cute, short story. I love any kind of time travel/science fiction aspects in a book. Add in romance, and it’s guaranteed to suck me in. I finished this book in less than a day. It was such a unique story and what a cliffhanger at the end! The epilogue was adorable and wholesome, I loved seeing another perspective. I can’t wait to see what happens in book two in November!

Shoutout to Gerald and Harold!

“It’s midnight. You made it to tomorrow. There is nothing else to worry about.”

“I like spending midnights with you.”

Thank you to the author for providing this ARC! This review and opinion are entirely my own.

Midnights by Katrina Cappelli was such a sweet, short read. I found the time-travel component quite interesting, and loved the Captain America vibes.

The book follows Ace, as she helps her father, Eli, experiment with time travel. As always is the case when one messes with time, something goes awry and the golden-retriever of a MMC, Steve, is transported to the present time from 1945. But there’s something different about him…

As this story was quite short in length, its pacing was fast, but it still made sense. I really enjoyed being able to read Midnights all in one sitting, and it was a great break from the longer fantasy novels I’ve been reading recently.

Special shout out to Joy, as well as the literal goats of the story, Gerald and Harold. I loved the epilogue, and how it kept it open for book 2.

If you wanted a sweet little time-travel read to cleanse your book palette, you should try Midnights.

Thank you to the author for an advanced readers copy. This review is my own honest opinion.

"Well, I meant what I said. If it wasn't for you, I would be lost. You made me feel less alone in a place where I don't know anyone.”

✨ARC review- all thoughts and opinions are my own!

Any book with Taylor Swift references is a win in my book! This was such a fun little time travel story and I enjoyed how the author was able to fit in just enough backstory in the limited amount of pages for me not to be completely confused! This was a perfect in between/palette cleanser book as it’s not super long and an easy read! I’m excited to see how the story continues in the next book!

Thank you to the author for the advanced copy!

This book has everything I hoped for it. I’m a sucker for time travel novels (thanks, Outlander lol) and I devoured every word. From the romance in it to the science fiction to the ending made me flip through so many emotions!
I really can’t wait for book 2!!

Y’all! The way I devoured this book! It had a little bit of everything! Secrets, spice, and sweetness, oh my! The best part…it was fun! This book doesn’t take itself too seriously. This was fantasy in the way that we know time machines aren’t really a thing, but it really sold the reader on the idea. The romance was the most swoon worthy. I need more.

This was just the cutest book and I am so glad that I read it. I flew through it as fast as I could and I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. You best believe I will be signing up for a chance to get an ARC when it’s time.

The real clincher of this book? It’s only 133 pages! Look I love a good, long, book, but there’s something to be said about the shorter ones too! I read this one in two sittings and it was great. This is the absolute perfect palate cleanser if you’re jumping between two book genres or you just want a little snack of a book.

This was such a fun and addictive read. I went into it for the time travel and stayed for the characters.

The concept is so interesting, but what really made this story for me was the dynamic between Ace and Steve. Their relationship felt natural, emotional, and easy to get invested in. Ace especially stood out - she’s strong, a little chaotic, and just genuinely fun to follow.

I also loved how the story balanced the science fiction elements with romance without either one overpowering the other. It kept things engaging while still feeling character-driven.

And I have to say… the subtle references and little nods throughout just made it even more enjoyable.

Such a quick, engaging read with a great setup for what’s to come - I’m already excited to see where this series goes next!

Gifted the book before the second in the series was released.

Cover: cute and romantic

Plot: follows a young woman who experiments with her dad on projects. The young woman thinks the idea of a tike machine is wrong but agrees to help. Sending a goat back in time they end up with a man.

Storyline: The story is about a cute romantic time traveller with strong human Hulk vibes. The story flows. However, I felt it dipped in places, and I wanted more action and passion.

Woul I recommend the book to others? Maybe I think the book would be great for someone who is starting their reading journey. I also think young adults, but for those over 15 as there is 1 detailed adult scene.

2.5 rounded up. Crazy this guy just accepted hes in the future so quickly. Also Eli sucks and the scapegoat near the end that Soup is the reason her dad pretends hes not her dad. NO he has his own damn mind, he just sucks. All the men around her suck so of course shes head over heels for the first decent guy in her life. WITH THAT SAID lol. Its still kinda cute and fun so I try to suspend my disbelief for a cute story. The second one sounds like it dives into the idea they 'fell in love' to quick so im going to read it. quick and easy reads. Pretty horny book to with not a lot of actual s*x scenes in it.

I liked this one. Its a short easy read. It was really cute. Since I'm currently in my Marvel Universe era this one really appealed to me. Think of Tony Stark having an adult daughter that works for him and they build a time machine and end up brining Steve Rogers to the future.

I did notice some grammatical errors but nothing over the top. It needs some further editing work as there is a lot of flipping between past and present tense where there shouldn't be and there definitely is room to add way more to the story.

All in all though I thought it was cute and I enjoyed it. I will be reading the next one.

That might actually take the no 1 spot for the worst book I’ve ever read. Worse than Colleen Hoover. For a start this book had like no plot and it was just weird. Time machine, supper human mutant military testing crap, they fell “in love” after three days. It was honestly the worst book I’ve ever read. It happened in like 150 pages too so everything was so randomly rushed. Didn’t understand half the book and I honestly didn’t care enough to try to. Final conclusion: utter crap. Genuinely unless you’re getting paid to, why the hell would you read this .

I liked the book. I loved the premise of a time travel romance. However I didn’t really like the fact that the MC kept repeating over and over again how hot and irresistible she is. Not to mention the fact that basically any guy that walked by her either winked at her or flirted with her. Which just seemed so unrealistic. I get it every girl wants to be desired. But no one is desired by everyone they come across.

However that being said, it was a very short an quick read and despite those things I couldn’t seem to put it down. I read the whole story in one day.

This was a cute quick read! Its giving Captain America x time travel romance which is entertaining and fun. Because of how quick it was, I felt like the romance was a little rushed in places, but it's perfect if you are looking for something short.

I loved some of the side characters (like Joy and the goats) and I hope they stick around in the next book.

This is a single POV and part of a series.

This book was a super adorable Captain America meets time travel romance! I absolutely loved the vibes of this story and it was especially great when paired with this super unique and adorable plot line. The characters had wonderful charisma from the start. The book was a little short and I found myself wishing for a few more details. However, in the end this was a super fun and easy read that kept me interested!

It was fine but… nothing was really fleshed out. The characters were confusing, especially Eli who seemed to never have the same personality, and they weren’t likable. It just kind of took every troupe it could and shoved it into a short novel. It made little to no sense and they fell in love instantly without knowing each other… it could have been an interesting book if it was just expanded and didn’t feel like such a rush job

I was lucky to receive the ARC for the second book in this series so of course I had to read the first one, Midnights, first! Duh! Super cute short story! Absolutely love the time travel theme and the genuineness of Steve from 1945! Ace’s character is so sassy and I just love her personality! Reminds me of some things I’d say. Can’t wait to see where these characters take us!

This was a fast paced story that follows Ace and her dad Eli. Eli builds a Time Machine and accidentally trades a goat for a human! Oops.

I really enjoyed the Taylor Swift references. Even though it was short it still made sense. Nothing felt rushed or out of place.

I’ll read the second one!

Short and cute. But the FMC really does just want to shag anything with a pulse at the beginning. She was flirting with a soldier the same day she woke up from a one night stand with an "ex" she still kinda had feelings for then meets Steve and goes gaga for him. It's a little insta-love, but there were some cute parts. Still unsure if I'll read the second story.

What an adorable read! The story primarily focuses on the budding romance between Ace and Steve, but the time travel & superhero trope was a fantastic way to keep things action-packed and thrilling. Great book, reach for this when you want something lighthearted and dazzling. Can't wait for book 2!

this was a pretty fun read

I did really enjoy this book it was fun and cute. There was also a lot tense moments in this story. I had a lot of fun reading it I especially loved how Ace names her goats for experiments I think that’s adorable and something I’d do too!
