ഈ അടുത്തിടെ വളരെയേറെ പ്രതീക്ഷയോടെ വാങ്ങി വായിച്ച ഒരു പുസ്തകം. അടുത്തിടെ ഈ പുസ്തകവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ലെനയുടെ ഒരുപാടു യുട്യൂബ് വിഡിയോകൾ കാണാൻ ഇടയായി, അങ്ങനെയാണ് ഞാൻ ഇത് വായിക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചത്. പക്ഷെ വായിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ പ്രതീക്ഷകൾ അപ്രത്യക്ഷമായി.

ഒരു അപൂർണമായ പുസ്തകമായി തോന്നി, ഇതിലുള്ള പല ഭാഗങ്ങൾക്കും പൂര്ണതയില്ലായിരുന്നു. ചിലയിടങ്ങളിൽ ചില കാര്യങ്ങൾ പ്രതിപാദിക്കുകയും എന്നാൽ അത് പൂര്ണമാക്കാതിരുന്നതായും തോന്നി. ചില കാര്യങ്ങൾ ചാർട്ടായും, റ്റേബിളായും കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നത് കണ്ടു, എന്നാൽ ഇതെന്തിനാണെന്നോ, എങ്ങനെ അതിനെ മനസിലാക്കണമെന്നോ കൊടുത്തു കണ്ടില്ല. ഒരു പേർസണൽ ജേർണൽ അതേപടി പ്രിന്റു ചെയ്തത് പോലെ. ലേഖഖയ്ക് വായിച്ചാൽ മാത്രം മനസിലാവുന്ന പടി, അങ്ങനെയാണ് എനിക്ക് തോന്നിയത്.

ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിന്റെ ഒരു ഹൈലൈറ് ആയി ഞാൻ കേട്ടത് സാധാരണക്കാരന് മനസിലാവുന്ന ഭാഷയിൽ ആത്മീയതയെ അവതരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നാണ്. എന്നാൽ എനിക്ക് അങ്ങനെയൊന്നും തോന്നിയില്ലെന്നു മാത്രമല്ല, ഒരു സാധാരണക്കാരന് വായിച്ചു മനസിലാക്കാൻ അത്ര എളുപ്പമാവില്ല എന്നും തോന്നി.

റിസർച്ച് ചെയ്തു, ലളിതമായി എഴുതിയിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ കുറച്ചു കൂടെ നന്നായേനെ എന്ന് തോന്നി. എന്തയാലും ഇത്രയും പറഞ്ഞു ഞാൻ ഇതിവിടെ ചുരുക്കുന്നു.

ഇരുപത്തിമൂന്ന് വയസുള്ള ലെന ഒരു മരത്തിന്റെ ചുവട്ടിൽ നിന്നും ഒരു കൂണെടുത്തു ചവച്ചതോടെ ആത്മീയ നിദ്രയിലേക്ക് വീഴുന്നു. ഉറങ്ങിയെണീറ്റത് ദൈവത്തെകുറിച്ചു ചിന്തിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാണ്. ആ സമയത്ത് തന്നിൽ വെളിച്ചം വന്നുനിറയുകയും ദൈവീക അനുഭവം ഉണ്ടാവുകയും ചെയ്തു എന്നാണ് പിന്നീട് ലോകത്തോട് പറഞ്ഞത്. അതോടെ മാനസിക രോഗിയായി മുദ്രകുത്തപ്പെട്ട് 19 വർഷം മാനസിക വിഭ്രാന്തിക്ക് മരുന്ന് കഴിച്ച് തനിക്കുണ്ടായ അനുഭവത്തിന്റെ അർത്ഥം തിരഞ്ഞു ഒരുപാട് ആത്മീയഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങൾ വായിച്ച് പഠിക്കുന്നു. പഠിച്ച അറിവുകളിൽ ഈ പുസ്തകം എഴുതുന്നു.

പ്രമുഖരുടെ quotes ലൂടെ ഓരോ അധ്യായവും തുടങ്ങുന്നതാണല്ലോ ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ഒരു രീതി. അതാണിവിടെയും. സത്യം പറയാമല്ലോ, എനിക്ക് 'connect' ആയില്ല. അവതാരികയിൽ മോഹൻലാൽ പറഞ്ഞത് പോലെ, 'ധ്യാനം, ആത്മീയ അനുഭവം ഇതെല്ലാം തികച്ചും വ്യക്തിപരമാണ്. ഒരാളുടെ വ്യക്തിപരമായ അനുഭവമല്ല മറ്റൊരാൾക്ക് ഉണ്ടാവുക, അതുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ വ്യക്തികളുടെ ആത്മീയ അനുഭവങ്ങളെ കീറിമുറിച്ച് പരിശോധിക്കുവാൻ ഞാൻ ആളല്ല.'

വളരെ സെൻസിബിൾ ആയി സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ലെനയെ ഇഷ്ടമാണ്. പക്ഷേ ലെന convey ചെയ്യാൻ ഉദ്ദേശിച്ച കാര്യങ്ങൾ  എഴുതിഫലിപ്പിക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞോ എന്നതിൽ സംശയമുണ്ട്. Inspired ആയ കുറെ ക്ലാസ്സിക് കളിൽ നിന്നും  ഉൾകൊണ്ട ആശയങ്ങളെ അടുക്കിവയ്ക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ച കുറച്ച് അദ്ധ്യായങ്ങൾ ആയി തോന്നി....🪬

എങ്കിലും ഈ ബുക്ക്‌ എനിക്ക് കുറെയധികം പുതിയ അറിവുകൾ നൽകി എന്നത് സത്യമാണ്. ഞാൻ കാണുന്ന നിറങ്ങൾ തന്നെയാണോ നിങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നത്? ഞാൻ കേൾക്കുന്ന ശബ്ദങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കുന്നുണ്ടോ? തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി കാര്യങ്ങൾ മനസിൽ ചോദ്യങ്ങളായി അവശേഷിക്കുമായിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഈ പുസ്തകം വായിക്കുമ്പോൾ കുറേ കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ നമുക്ക് തെളിച്ചം വരും.

ഒരാൾ തന്നെത്തനെ സ്നേഹിക്കണമെങ്കിൽ അയാൾ ആദ്യം സ്വയം മനസിലാക്കണം. അതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ലെന ഈ ബുക്കിൽ കൃത്യമായി പറഞ്ഞുവെക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. സത്യത്തിൽ നമുക്ക് എത്രപേർക്ക് നമ്മളെ സ്വയം അറിയാം? ഒന്ന് ഇരുന്ന് ആലോചിച്ച് നോക്കിക്കേ..

ഞാൻ എന്താണ് എന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള അജ്ഞതയിൽ നിന്നാണ് മനസിന്റെ എല്ലാ അന്വേഷണങ്ങളും ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്. നമ്മൾ എന്താണോ മനസിൽ കരുതുന്നത് അത് ശരീരം കാണിച്ചുതുടങ്ങും.

സ്വയം വിലയിരുത്തൽ നമുക്ക് ആവശ്യമാണ്.ആരാണ് ഞാൻ, എന്തുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ, എവിടെയാണ് ഞാൻ, എപ്പോഴാണ് ഞാൻ ഈ ചോദ്യങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള ഉത്തരം നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈയിലുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ഈ ബുക്ക്‌ വായിക്കണമെന്ന് ഞാൻ പറയില്ല.

ഈ പുസ്തകം ഒരു തവണ വായിച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ വായന പൂർണമായിട്ടില്ല. ഇനിയും ഈ എഴുത്ത് എനിക്ക് പിടിതരാതെ കിടക്കുകയാണ്.. എത്ര തവണ വായിച്ചാൽ ഈ പുസ്തകം എനിക്ക് കീഴടങ്ങുമെന്ന് അറിയില്ല.. എങ്കിലും ഒരു തെളിച്ചമുണ്ടാകുവാൻ ഈ പുസ്തകം സഹായിക്കുമെന്ന് ഞാൻ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

ഈ എഴുത്ത് പൂർണമാകുമ്പോൾ ലെന പറഞ്ഞത് ഞാൻ വീണ്ടും പറയുന്നു.. നിങ്ങൾക്ക് നിങ്ങളോടും ലോകത്തോടും കരുണയുണ്ടായിരിക്കണം.

First - Ok, so I thot this would be an interesting read based on some of the reels I saw on Instagram. Weird as some of those statements were, I was intrigued.
This book had none of it.

Second - In my earlier self, as a believer and spiritual person, this book would have been interesting read. It aligns well with many of my thoughts I held.

As a book that is meant to help the person who is a believer and looking for some answers, this book provides a nice roadmap. The first few chapters are eloquently written, in simple sentences. And so it is worth a try.

Lenaa Kumar is a well established actress of the malayalam film industry having worked in other south indian films. She is also a psychologist by the education she acquired , which she didn't practise later on in life and went into acting itself. She wrote her first book "The Autobiography of God " , after she feels that she has received some enlightenment in life . She was waiting to share it with a world that understands her concepts . So she took her time to refine herself and be a better person . In her journey of life she learned that she acquired self realisation and she wants all of us to earn it too . So she has written a self help book that focuses on the timelines in her life , what she did and how she acquired this new wisdom. In my opinion , it's not a scientific book . Do not consider it as a book written by a psychologist based on science . It's more like a book on spiritual alignment and finding the purpose of you and life . It's her take on her life and what she discovered . But it is not something that would connect to everyone when you read it . And there are certain parts in the book that make me wonder if she really is rambling , because it doesn't align with me . But there are also some points that I totally agree with . Upon reading this book , I felt like this is a self discovery of herself and the self discovery journey I went through when I was 25; going through my quarter life crisis.

I picked up The Autobiography of God because my sister recommended it after a trusted friend said it had helped them overcome anxiety and depression. Since it's a short paperback, I decided to give it a shot.

It's quite possibly the worst book I've ever read. Almost unreadable, it hides weak ideas behind long-winded prose, scientific jargon, and pseudoscientific claims that I found completely unconvincing. I regret wasting my time on it.

The only redeeming moment is the ending, where Lenaa quotes the closing lyrics of Nirvana's All Apologies. Unsurprisingly, the best words in the book weren't hers.

The title Autobiography of God is an immediate attention-grabber, but the book itself is far from a conventional read. It is highly unconventional and definitely not suited for a casual or "normal" reader looking for a standard narrative.

I strongly felt that the author conceived these deep, complex ideas entirely in Malayalam. While the concepts are fascinating, the essence and raw emotional weight of her writing seem to have decreased during the translation into English.

Started the book with much anticipation but the moment I realised who rhe author was, I recalled a video snippet of her where she rambled on about pretty much the same content in the book witbout really making much sense. Most of the book is repeated insights from other spiritual books and not a lot is clarified or explained simply as Leena promises at the start.
