I learned some things while reading this book, and found it quite interesting. Pythons live in the warmer parts of Africa, Asia and Australia, and can grow as wide as a tennis court! There are four types of pythons: the Reticulate python, the African rock python, the Amethystine python and the Indian python. Pythons can mate and hatch eggs when they are five or six years of age. They can lay up to 100 eggs at a time! As soon as they hatch, the mother slithers away. Pythons are meat eaters, and after they have eaten, they may not need to eat again for many months! Snakes can't hear at all, don't see well, and smell with their tongues. The also lose their skin every few months. Some people have pythons for pets.
