Playing With Fire
Eighteen year-old shape shifter Jane McKenzie has only just come to terms with her dual nature after an attack that led to her becoming one of the terminally furry. While control of her animal side still seems to elude her at times, she’s coping surprisingly well.
Lately though, things have changed. Her animal is acting strangely and her already shaky control seems to be slipping even further. Her situation only gets worse when she meets Robin Sullivan, to whom she is inexplicably attracted. It’s just further proof of her inability to control her animal when she learns her attraction is a result of her animal going into heat. And that the choice of a mate is out of Jane’s hands.
But it seems Robin is hiding a few secrets. Secrets which threaten to shatter Jane’s whole world as she knows it and leave her fighting not only her animal instincts, but also the consequences of someone else’s past decisions.
